Occupation: Esthetician
Three adjectives that describe you: Courageous, free spirit and nurturing.
Favorite Activities: I like to hike, kayak, rock climb, yoga, spelunking, horseback riding, write, late night cow tipping, skinny dipping, streaking, prank calling, playing in Wal-Mart, dirt bikes and skeet shooting.
What do you think will be the most difficult part about living inside the Big Brother house: Not being able to talk to my mom, sister, or best friend any time I want and not having all the food I want to eat.
Do you have a strategy for winning Big Brother?: It’s all a secret! When money is on the line I’ll do anything it takes to win. Well, ALMOST anything.
Which past Big Brother cast member did you like most: I like Howard just because he was good looking. At the end of the day this is a game, I just like pretty people!
What are you afraid of: Spiders, snakes and having to eat bananas.
What is the accomplishment you are most proud of: Going an entire year without sex or out on a date.
Finish this sentence: My life’s motto is.. Sh*t could be worse…
What would you take into the house and why: Walkie Talkies just because they’re fun, my karaoke machine for sleepless nights and a camera for memories. I just want to have a good time!
What would you do if “Big Brother” made you famous: I would enjoy my moment, but still stay humble. I would love to take my family on a vacation, pay it forward and make sure my mother never had to work again. I would like to pay off my debts and maybe one day become an entertainment or ESPN host.

Amber loves to play pranks on people. Being raised by a single mother in low income housing has taught her what it’s like to struggle, and she will stop at nothing to win the money so she can help her mother.

Current City: Torrance, CA
Occupation: Event Coordinator
Three adjectives that describe you: Fun, loving and loyal.
Favorite Activities: Dancing, working out, being crafty, sewing and fashion.
What do you think will be the most difficult part about living inside the Big Brother house: Being away from my family and kids. I’ve never gone longer than a weekend without my kids let alone months of not seeing them or talking with them. The same goes for my family. We’re a very tight knit family so that’s going to be a challenge for me.
Do you have a strategy for winning Big Brother?: I’m going to go in without too much of a set strategy until I’ve been able to feel out the other house guests.
Which past Big Brother cast member did you like most: Britney was pretty entertaining to watch.
What are you afraid of: Heights! I am terrified of heights!
What is the accomplishment you are most proud of: My determination to never give up. I refuse to let my past and the hard times get the best of me.

Hometown: Dallas, Texas
Current City: Hopkinsville, Ky.
Occupation: Adventure Hunting Guide
Three adjectives that describe you: Loyal, talented and charming.
Favorite Activities: Horseback riding, rock climbing, going to the gym, riding bikes, hunting and fishing.
What do you think will be the most difficult part about living inside the Big Brother house: The most difficult part is being watched at all times, because everything I’m doing my family back at home is watching. Also, throwing a sexy girl that likes me under the bus will be hard but I will do what I have to do, so kiss me, lay with me, have sex with me, tell me you love me, I’m still in it to win.
Do you have a strategy for winning Big Brother?: Yes I have a strategy, I will make sure I have the ladies in my pocket.
Which past Big Brother cast member did you like most: I liked Hayden because he has the same mindset that I would have had in the house. He plays his cards right even if he has a bad hand and he makes his cards work to his advantage.
What are you afraid of: I’m not a fan of clowns, but other than that I’m pretty fearless.
What is the accomplishment you are most proud of: My military service.

What would you take into the house and why: My bible just to get my daily word in and scriptures to give me guidance and peace. I would take my iPod to put me to sleep, to jam out and to listen to when I hit the weights in the yard. Also, my hair products and hygiene kit so I smell good and look good for the ladies.
What would you do if Big Brother made you famous: I would give back to the people that has helped me and held my hand through my struggles, and I would try my best not to turn into another Justin Bieber.

Age: 23
Hometown: Tucson, Ariz.

Three adjectives that describe you: Bubbly (my nickname at work is “bubbles”), eccentric and hilarious.
Favorite Activities: Exploring new cities. I love going out and seeing new places. Also, I love hanging out with my friends and playing Settlers of Catan and watching reality TV.
What do you think will be the most difficult part about living inside the Big Brother house: I do not know how I am going to go without seeing my husband and family, but I know I can do it! Not being able to explore and being stuck in one place. Also, I don’t want to clean up everyone’s messes.
Do you have a strategy for winning Big Brother?: I plan on being nice and having everyone confide in me to get information from all over the house. I really want to have a strong pack with only three to four people that I stay loyal to till the end. I don’t want to play both sides of the house, but I’m not saying I won’t.
Which past Big Brother cast member did you like most: I love Howie, I just loved his personality and I love Mike Boogie’s game. Helen amazed me with her ability to feel out what was happening in the house.

Christine once threw a surprise birthday party for a homeless man in the park, was in a hot air balloon accident in high school, but only walked away with bruises. She has been to Disneyland more than 50 times.

Big-Brother-16-house-guest-Cody-Calafiore

Cody Calafiore
Age: 23
Hometown: Hackensack, N.J.
Current City: Howell, N.J.
Occupation: Sales Account Executive
Three adjectives that describe you: Outgoing, happy-go-lucky and empathetic.
Favorite Activities: I love going on runs, working out and going to the gym.
What do you think will be the most difficult part about living inside the Big Brother house: From watching previous seasons, not having communications from the outside world seems like the most difficult part, it causes all sorts of paranoia about twists in the game. Also, I always have the TV on to fall asleep; it will be difficult to not have one.
Do you have a strategy for winning Big Brother?: No! Thinking about all the different ways to get to the end is enough to make my head explode! It will be a game time decision for me once I get into the house.
Which past Big Brother cast member did you like most: Jeff – he was an extremely smart player and was just a genuinely good person.
What are you afraid of: Losing family, snakes and being in the pitch black is pretty freaky.
What is the accomplishment you are most proud of: Being picked up by a professional soccer team.
Finish this sentence: My life’s motto is… Don’t be afraid of falling; be afraid of not having the will to get back up.
What would you do if “Big Brother” made you famous: Continue to watch every season of Big Brother and try and get back onto another season!

Cody is a Seventeen Magazine “2014 Hot Guy Panelist,” where he gives young female readers advice on dating and fashion. He was drafted to a pro soccer team in college, but was cut from the team after getting injured. Chick flicks are his guilty pleasure.

Big-Brother-16-house-guest-Derrick-Levasseur

Derrick Levasseur
Age: 30
Hometown: Providence, R.I.
Current City: Providence, R.I.
Occupation: Police Officer – Sergeant
Three adjectives that describe you: Confident, methodical and ambitious.
Favorite Activities: I am a big fan of guns and enjoy modifying and shooting them; I get to use most of them at work. Also, I like to scuba dive.
What do you think will be the most difficult part about living inside the Big Brother house: Being away from my family for so long. Even though you are in the house with other people, you have to remember that they are trying to take $500,000 away from you and it will be tough to not have my family to release some of the tension.
Do you have a strategy for winning Big Brother?: My strategy involves three phases. First, attempt to find common interests with as many houseguests as I can, while developing a profile on them. Second, start using the facts I learned about the houseguests against them. Finally, if I’m able to win a few HOH’s/POV’s late in the game, I can make some moves that will determine the winner.
Which past Big Brother cast member did you like most: I love that Dan Gheesling was always using sports analogies to pump himself up because I’m the same way.
What are you afraid of: I am not a fan of heights.
What is the accomplishment you are most proud of: I’m proud of my education and the accomplishments in my career as a police officer.
Finish this sentence: My life’s motto is… Dream as if you’ll live forever. Live as if you’ll die today – James Dean
What would you take into the house and why: A picture of my daughter as she is everything to me, my memory foam pillow since I need a good night sleep and a deck of cards.
What would you do if Big Brother made you famous: I would try and use it to make some positive changes. I would like to give back to my family and help out the kids of Central Falls. Also, I’m a huge animal lover. Sign me up for anything I can do to help reduce the number of puppy mills, kill shelters and helping animals get adopted.

Derrick attended college on a full ride baseball scholarship and got his master’s degree in Business Management. He’s been a Police Sergeant for 10 years after starting as an undercover officer when he was only 20 years old.

Big-Brother-16-house-guest-Devin-Shepherd

Devin Shepherd
Age: 26
Hometown: Santa Barbara, Calif.
Current City: San Antonio, Texas
Occupation: Former Professional Baseball Player, Motorcycle Sales Manager – Harley Davidson
Three adjectives that describe you: Complex, loyal and entertaining.
Favorite Activities: The gym is a huge part of my life. I love to hike and relax on the beach as much as I can as well.
What do you think will be the most difficult part about living inside the Big Brother house: I’m a pretty big guy who needs to eat; Grumpy Devin comes about when food is not available.
Do you have a strategy for winning Big Brother?: Of course, it’s all about making friends and not enemies at all cost. Not everyone will like you, but you have to try to bond with your housemates to build trust. Also, you have to rule very politically if you’re at the top so it may be beneficial to lay low in the weeds until the final five.
Which past Big Brother cast member did you like most: Hayden played the game right.
What are you afraid of: I am afraid of rats, rats and rats.
What is the accomplishment you are most proud of: I’m proud that I attained most of my athletic goals that I set out to achieve. I love that I was able to give my mom a sense of relief by not having to pay for college. I had to give up baseball so that I could be a good father and I’m happy with that choice every day of my life because having my daughter trumps all other accomplishments.
Finish this sentence: My life’s motto is… Don’t live too fast. Don’t live too slow. Live my life the way I want with no regrets and I’ll have lived my life just right.
What would you take into the house and why: Just 3? A shaver since I need to look smooth and clean cut always (unless its Sunday brunch), a toothbrush (how can I form an alliance with bad breath?) and a photo of my daughter, no explanation needed.
What would you do if Big Brother made you famous: Thank Big Brother!

Devin is a former professional baseball player who used to play for the St. Louis Cardinals. He was 6 feet 2 inches tall by the time he was 12 years old.

60 thoughts to “MEET the ALL NEW CAST of Big Brother 16!”

  1. Haven’t even seen them play yet and I already like this cast way more than the group of bullies, racists and homophobes of last season.

  2. I think the cast looks great!!!! And I know a lot of people are upset about Frankie since he is Ariana Grande’s brother, but he is actually an alumni in the fraternity I am in and every year we chat over a few beers. He is a great guy and easily one of the funniest people I have ever met. I really think he will be a force to be reckoned with. He ability to analyze people and call them out on it is hysterical.

  3. Praise the lord. No Andy. Unless this group of people are just a casting decoy. The real people entering house are to be revealed later.

  4. I, along with everyone here, loves BB, but this season is definately not impressing me. These new twists don’t inspire gameplay but will in a sense punish players who actually win a HoH? Umm ok. I understand after last season’s debacle BB needs a successful season to continue it’s run, but by dividing the house you are trying to hard to adapt Survivor’s template but BB has something that works but is trying to over correct for a disgusting last season.

So they think splitting the house and allowing America to affect the game (glass house? Oh no please) will attract our attention even more? I don’t think so but we will see.

Also am I not the only one who noticed none of these HGs seem to know anything about BB with the exception of the girl who likes Howie, because the rest of them named the most well known and generic HGs of the past 5 seasons?

I hope I am all wrong, but this season in my opinion isn’t on a great trajectory at the moment and I just wish BB would cast people who love and understand the game rather than cast people with no BB culture and pray America will change the game.

    Fingers crossed !!!!!

  5. Ummm…Did Joey say GinaMarie was her favorite because of her great attitude? I’m already afraid of her thought process. Oh, and Donny loves Spencer? Speechless! But, wait, it gets worse…Paola is good friends with BB15’s GinaMarie. Seriously, wtf?

  6. These people look like walking stereotypes. That gay guy is putting a bad name on all gays just by the way he looks. Why can this show never just have a gay guy that isn’t extremely flaming

    1. Are you aware of the message you are sending to gay men. You are telling them to not be themselves as well as putting masculinity on a pedestal. Gay men are not defined by their “flamboyancy” but rather their character. It is not a stereotype to be the person you are and by empowering the ‘masculine gay man’ you are creating a divide within the homosexual community. Telling someone they are too “flaming” is denying someone the ability to truly accept themselves for a situation they have already fought over themselves with. Learn to embrace all personality types and the ability to judge someone for their character and not their femininity.

      1. Flaming is outrageous, No need to be overly dramatic and constantly on stage. Gives gays a bad rep. On a continuum flaming is outside the norm just as hard ass bull dog dikes.

    2. You’re right. The gay community shouldn’t promote weirdos who dress and act ridiculous (the flamboyant gays and we can also add the manly ‘butch’ lesbians to that), but instead regular people who happen to be attracted to the same sex. Just because someone’s gay, it doesn’t mean he should walk around with a pink feather sticking out of his ass or wave his hands like he was trying to fly when talking. And I still can’t explain the lisp some gay men get. This isn’t an anti-gay post, just anti-weirdo. Time to promote gay people who dress and act normally for a change.

    3. Amen!! I am sick and tired of BB only putting the most flaming gay men in the house. And “Get It Straight”, sorry, but I am sick and tired of CBS promoting the idea that we are all that stereotype. Some of us gay men are perfectly comfortable in our own masculinity. And it’s about time that CBS showed that there are more of us out there than just the pink-haired, nelly twinks.

    4. That is really messed up! You are really judging him on how he looks. Like it’s really upsetting you that he’s being himself! Also that “gay guys” name is Frankie. THINK BEFORE YOU TYPE BOO!

  7. Awesome cast .. but I say that every year.

Not really keen on people being cast that have family members with millions of fans. In a game where the fans vote not really fair.

  8. Is there any “chance” that with the 16 new players we get 16 returning vets also? And that the real twist about 2 Heads of Household each week is that there will be a HOH from the 16 new players and a HOH from the 16 returning players? And that they are playing simultaneously? That would definitely be an interesting twist on the idea IMO.

    1. Totally agree. We were about to cancel our DVR setting if they brought back players that have been on before. CBS has a bad habit of doing that e.g.; Amazing Race, Survivor. We didn’t watch the Amazing Race this season for that same reason and we have long stopped watching Survivor since people come back 3 & 4 times. It’s boring when you know peoples game play and the idiots on these shows that keep them around. I guess there is nobody else left in the country to choose from

  9. I feel like these people know nothing about Big Brother. They like Spencer, GM, and Hayden?? Oy. And this one chick “I wanna be the nicest BB player ever”. lol. Girl, we don’t want nice tho. And am I the only one who finds it extremely unfair that Arianna Grande’s brother is a Houseguest. Elissa Reilly 2.0. Especially if they’re doing public votes? Cringe. Not impressed thus far, but can’t judge a book by it’s cover. This COULD be interesting.

  10. 0-2 Superfans TOTAL in this cast…

Answers to who their past fave house guest was:
    – Howard….I really don’t feel like he’s merited being anyone’s favourite. He did throw that HaveNot comp once, that was funny.
    – Britney…someone watched season 12 in sequestered
    – Hayden…someone else watched season 12 in sequestered
    – Howie,Boogie and Helen…Finally someone who has seen pre-season 10
    – Jeff…You’ve got to be frickin kidding me
    – Dan…acceptable answer, pretty generic though
    – Hayden…BB12 was watched by many in Sequestered
    – Spencer…a joke, surely.
    – Britney…BB12insequestered
    – Hayden…BB12insequestered
    – Rachel..dare I say BB12insequestered? She did come back to win, so I’ll give them that
    – GinaMarie…oh HELLLLL NO.
    – Dan, Ian and Jordan…acceptable until she mentioned Jordan
    – Didn’t even answer the question, at least not according to this post…
    – Admitted to have only watched BB Israel, not BBUS…i think it is an absolute travesty that someone who has never seen the game gains a spot in the house over the thousands and thousands of fans that apply each year. What is this girl even DOING here?
    – Andy…Dawg get ready to start writing ‘Zach enters the conversation’

      1. Means if they are booted they remain “cut off” from the outside world. Giving them the opportunity to re-enter the game. Like Survivor’s redemption island. I like the twist. Win a challenge and re-enter. Could make for some interesting scenarios.

      2. Means if they are booted they remain “cut off” from the outside world. Giving them the opportunity to re-enter the game. Like Survivor’s redemption island. I like the twist. Win a challenge and re-enter. Could make for some interesting scenarios.

      3. What he means is that HG’s are often sequestered in hotels by themselves for several days before they enter the house. They cannot watch regular TV, so production usually supplies them with past seasons of the show to watch. I, too, think they must have given them Season 12 to watch.

  11. Frankie may be a great guy but WHY would they put him in a season where they are proclaiming that “America has an influence like never before”. Seriously, search on twitter/tumblr and you can see how many Ariana Grande fans are already stating that they’ll be rooting/voting for him. She has millions of fans so as much as I did like Elissa last season, it’s going to be another Elissa situation. He may not win but Frankie has America’s favorite in the bag 100%, and any other America voted twists will be in his favor as well.

    1. I know right! Like, did they not think of this????? Frankie is going to win every single fan vote. And probably on a much larger scale than even Elissa did last season.

  12. Well at least more than half of the cast is above 25 years old. I hope it turns out to be a good season. The added twist sounds odd but only time will tell.

On a side note, I really love this site but I don’t know if I like the changes you’ve made. Why are the post so large and spacious?? I liked being able to see several comments on one page.

  13. So excited for this season to start! I’m rooting for Derrek because he is from my home state of Rhode Island AND Frankie Grande!! <3

  14. The chick and dude who cited GinaMarie and Spencer as past favorite players have lost credibility already……. hope they go immediately, something’s up with Frankie Grande, wonder if he’s gonna be America’s player or something like that ; otherwise unfair advantage

    1. Agreed. If they purposefully use Frankie as America’s player then all is well. If they put it up to some BS vote week after week, then no.

  15. I’m sorry but this is really pathetic casting. Maybe 1 fan in there, while the rest are just complete idiots going in there with no idea what is going on. I hate this so much because the people who have seen only one season, don’t know anything about the game, and don’t know anything about strategies that you can play.
Don’t get me wrong, i do like some parts of the new season like the new house layout but i already have a feeling that this cast is going to be lame.

  16. Time will tell, but based on the ad I just saw, they all look more like cartoon characters than people. So…wannabe actors, most of ’em? (I haven’t read the bios yets).

  17. OK, just read the bios. At this stage, it’s Derrick, Paola or Caleb for me – they read as the most interesting and smart. The rest seem ‘airheady’ and vacuous.

  18. Rooting for nicole; she is from my very small hometown! So awesome. I met her once before. Was at the same homecoming as her or something like that. I am hoping she will surprise people.

  19. I am really loving a lot of the houseguests! But TBH I’m already not liking Zack, I mean really he calls himself a con artist. But they’re probably keep him to the end or be the first one out either way I’m not a fan. Poala is probably going to be my favorite houseguest she seems fun but reminds me a lot of GinaMarie, can’t they get any different houseguests! But it is pretty good so far. <3
    -Yass Boo!

  20. I am already annoyed about Frankie. He has a really unfair advantage because he is going into the house with a fan base and not one of BB status. He also has his sisters fans voting. I don’t know, I like some twists and such but not to change the game so much that its not BB anymore. You know what I mean. You are not even safe as the HOH, that sucks .Okay enough whining….

I think this looks good so far. We have only met these people for 5 minutes and haven’t seen their personalities when the other people come in the house. Then I am sure we can see the dynamics of the house and start our BB judgement of them all lols 😛 .
Looking forward to this season and reading all about it. 🙂
