Who won Big Brother Canada 2?
Jon won Big Brother Canada 2 on 8 May 2014, beating Sabrina 6-1. Allison, Heather, Neda, Adel, Arlie and Canada voted for Jon. Rachelle, Sabrina’s closest ally, was her only vote.
The decision that won it came first. Jon took parts one and three of the final Head of Household, with Neda winning part two, and had to choose between Neda — his partner for most of the game — and Sabrina. He cut Neda. She voted for him anyway.
Jon’s habit of calling the prize money a hundo stuck to him all season, and the network used it in the announcement of his win. Our finale-night write-up called him Big Jawn.
Who was in the Big Brother Canada 2 cast?
Fourteen houseguests moved in, and Canada added a fifteenth in week 2. In finishing order:
- 1st — Jon. Won the final Head of Household and cut Neda, his closest ally.
- 2nd — Sabrina. Half of the Gremlins with Rachelle. Nominated six times, more than anyone else that season.
- 3rd — Neda. Won part two of the final Head of Household, then was evicted by Jon’s decision.
- 4th — Heather. Evicted on Jon’s sole vote at the final four.
- 5th — Adel. Evicted 2-0 in week 10.
- 6th — Rachelle. The other Gremlin. Evicted 3-0.
- 7th — Allison. Canada’s pick from the War Room. Found the secret veto. Out 4-0 in the instant eviction.
- 8th — Arlie. Evicted 5-0 after two vetoes were used at one ceremony.
- 9th — Kenny. Evicted 5-1 in the second half of the week 6 double eviction.
- 10th — Sarah. Evicted 4-3 in the first half of the double.
- 11th — Andrew. Nominated by Canada and evicted 7-2.
- 12th — Ika. Took $5,000 and shredded the house’s letters from home. Out 8-1.
- 13th — Paul. The first Head of Household. Evicted 6-4 two weeks later.
- 14th — Kyle. Evicted 9-1 in week 2.
- 15th — Anick. First evicted, 11-0.
What were the twists in Big Brother Canada 2?
Big Brother Canada 2 gave the audience a seat inside the game more than once, starting before the fifteenth houseguest had even arrived.
The War Room. Three candidates spent the first week in a secret room watching the house. Canada voted for one of them to become a houseguest, and Allison walked in after the week 2 eviction. She could tell the house anything she liked about her late arrival — except the truth.
Canada as Head of Household. In week 5 the houseguests found the backyard empty and learned that Canada was Head of Household. Canada nominated Andrew and Sabrina, both of them from the First Five, and Andrew was evicted 7-2.
Allison’s secret veto. Allison found a hidden Power of Veto that could be played after the regular one. In week 7, straight after Jon used the regular veto on Rachelle, Allison used hers on Sabrina, and Adel went up beside Arlie.
The instant eviction. In week 8 Neda won Head of Household and had to nominate on the spot. There was no veto. Allison was out 4-0.
The double eviction. Sarah went 4-3 and Kenny 5-1 on the same night in week 6 — two of the First Five gone in one night.
What were the alliances in Big Brother Canada 2?
The First Five were the first five houseguests through the door — Sabrina, Arlie, Sarah, Kenny and Andrew — and they agreed on night one to work together. Canada’s nominations broke them: Andrew went in week 5, then Sarah and Kenny on the double eviction the following week.
The Gremlins were Sabrina and Rachelle, a pair the rest of the house kept nominating together — three times. Jon and Neda were the partnership that ran the back half of the game, right up to the moment Jon ended it.

What is Big Brother Canada 2 remembered for?
Ika and the letters. In week 4 Ika took $5,000 for herself and shredded everyone else’s letters from home. It is the single most-remembered moment of the season.
Kenny. Kenny came out to Sarah first, in the house, and later to everyone. Those two conversations are among the moments the season is best remembered for.
Sabrina. Nominated six times and still standing at the end. Our own finale write-up guessed that a quarter to a third of the season’s post titles on this site came from something Sabrina had said or done.
The cut. Jon choosing Sabrina over Neda at the final three was argued about at the time. The jury backed it: Neda voted for him, and so did everyone else but Rachelle.
Did Big Brother Canada 2 have live feeds?
Yes. Big Brother Canada 2 had live feeds, free to watch in Canada on the show’s website, with After Dark on Slice overnight.
