Who won Big Brother Canada 4?
Nick and Phil won Big Brother Canada 4 on 12 May 2016, beating Kelsey 7-2. Canada, Mitch, Maddy, Nikki, Joel, Cassandra and Tim voted for the brothers. Raul and Jared voted for Kelsey.
Kelsey took them there. Phil won part one of the final Head of Household, Kelsey won parts two and three, and she chose to evict Tim and sit beside the brothers.
The brothers played under their own rules all season. They had one vote between them, would be evicted together or not at all, and took turns in competitions. Between them they won three Heads of Household and four vetoes, and they were only nominated once before finale night.
Canada held the ninth seat on the jury. Ramsey, who would otherwise have been a juror, had left the game in week 8.
Who was in the Big Brother Canada 4 cast?
Fourteen houseguests were announced, Nick joined as his brother’s other half, and Canada voted two international wildcards in on the first eviction night. In finishing order:

- 2nd — Kelsey. Evicted in the fake double, returned from the Secret Suite, and won the final Head of Household.

What were the twists in Big Brother Canada 4?
Big Brother Canada 4 changed who was in the house more than any season before it.
The brothers. Phil was cast, and his brother Nick was added to play alongside him as a single houseguest: one vote, one fate, one prize to split, and the competitions shared between them.
The international wildcards. Canada voted on four former houseguests from other countries’ versions of the show. Nikki, from Big Brother UK, and Tim, a Big Brother Australia winner, walked in on Day 7 and were safe for their first week.
The fake double eviction. In week 4 Kelsey was evicted 8-2 and Loveita 7-2 on the same night — and neither of them left. Both were sent to a Secret Suite, where they could watch the house. A week later the houseguests had to agree, unanimously, on which of the two came back. They chose Kelsey.
Canada’s Head of Household vote. In week 8 Canada voted on who would play for Head of Household. Nikki and the brothers went head to head for it, and the brothers won.
Ramsey’s exit. Ramsey left the game on Day 52 to be with his family. He was holding the veto at the time, so the brothers had to name a replacement nominee: Tim.

What is Big Brother Canada 4 remembered for?
The joint win. No other Big Brother Canada season has been won by two people. The brothers’ 7-2 result still comes up whenever fans argue about whether the format was fair to everyone else.
Nikki. Big Brother UK’s Nikki was one of the best-known houseguests the franchise has had anywhere. She died in April 2021, and Big Brother Canada 9 aired a tribute to her.
The Secret Suite. Two evictees watching the house for a week, then one of them walking back in with everything she had seen. Kelsey used it all the way to the final two.
The small stuff. Jared refusing to cut his hair in a veto competition, and paying for it on the double eviction. Gary from season one coming in to dress the house for the Big Brother Canada awards, where the nominations for favourite prank included Dallas getting Cassandra to smell a fart in a jar.
