10:20 AM — Jason and Drew
The morning after his blowup with Angela, Jason’s in recovery mode, and Drew plays the reassuring ear. On the fight itself, Drew frames it as something Jason can’t walk back but can explain: “Technically you did, but the meaning behind it was different than what was intended.”
Jason wants to know who’s really running the other side. “Would you say that she’s kind of the mastermind over there, or is it Devins?” Drew points at Angela: “Because she’s played before… she’s calling the shots. She’s making moves, you know what I mean?” Jason takes it as a reason to stay close to her: “That’s kind of why I’m on her good side now, you know? I mean, I thought I was on her good side, so now that we have that out of the way…”
Drew keeps selling the upside of the explosion. “The good thing about what happened yesterday is like everything’s out there and there’s no more secrets… now you’re able to rebuild instead of like keep bottling things up.” Jason’s plan is patience: “That’s why I’m just laying low. Let’s see what happens at Vito and then I’ll start haggling if I have to.”
They talk through the veto. Drew reminds him he’s a threat in his own right: “You win comps, too, dude. You’ve won one already… You could win this one.” Jason’s not sweating it — “I’m not nervous” — and floats a best-case: “I feel like there’s a world, too, where me and Melody can be safe, too, you know?” On how Devens might play it, both game out the angles. Jason: “He could throw it, too, so he doesn’t have the blood on his hands.” Drew: “Or he might try to win it and keep everything the same so he doesn’t make more enemies.”
The conversation drifts to the HOH comp — Jason relays a rumor: “Someone was saying he was trying to throw the H-Wake to Haley… but then Haley just didn’t make it.” Asked if he’d have been okay with a Haley HOH, Jason allows it: “Maybe actually. I think I would have been fine before everything blew up. I still think she kind of likes me.” He lands on a read of the whole house that’s either optimism or denial: “I don’t think anybody hates anybody in this house.”
Drew keeps hammering the clean-slate line: “I’m telling you, I think the best thing ever was airing out all the laundry.” Jason agrees the secrets are gone anyway: “Everyone knew already too… It’s like, okay, let’s start over.” Drew: “Clean slate.” Jason, on the state of the game: “Everyone’s being dirty, so… you just got to own it and keep going.”
Drew closes with advice that sounds friendly and keeps Jason quiet: game out the veto, stay out of the next fight. “The veto can get used and then another fight breaks out… this time you’re chilling back and it cannot involve you.” Jason: “That’s the best case.” But Drew adds one tweak — don’t disappear completely: “I think you should pick up the chit-chat… right now you’re super quiet.” Jason admits he’s been hiding: “I was just isolating myself. People come up to me like, is he okay?”
The feeds cut shortly after.

10:47 am Chit chat while we wait for Veto competition to begin.

10:55 am pumping up.
10:57 am Melody dancing. She said earlier her big thing was festivals

11:16 AM — Angela and Yash
Yash sets the terms early: “When you’re talking with someone about personal stuff, I don’t think that’s the time for games to be played.” Angela agrees, and it turns into mutual reassurance. “If I’m ever up there, you’re never touching me,” Yash says. “You’re never sniffing the block.” Angela: “And I feel the same way about you.”
Yash says he read her as genuine from the start: “Even hearing how you talk to others, I’m like, she is real.” Angela: “I’m not going to lie to you.” She lays out where she stands: “I don’t want to be fucked over by people. When it comes to the end, do what you got to do. But this early…” Yash: “I’d rather get fucked by someone who I believe is real than someone who’s just playing a game. Playing too hard.”
They keep it off the books — no name, no label. “You don’t even have to have — it’s unspoken,” Angela says. “It doesn’t have to be a name or anything. We’ll just get each other as far as we can.” Yash: “Let’s do it… personal endgame.” Angela: “Even if I just look at you across the room, making that contact.” Yash: “We know. And I never doubt it. She is real.”
On Angela’s blowup the day before, Yash waves it off: “If you’ve been good 99.9% of the time and you slip up for maybe 0.1 — and I say slip up in quotes, because you were just explaining your side of it — I don’t think that’s enough to change most people’s entire view on you.” He says he’s been backing her up: “When I’m talking to people, I make sure it’s, like, she was just saying her piece.” Angela: “As long as I’m here, I have your back.”
On who else to trust — Angela: “You don’t tell them what I’m telling you.” Yash names Haley, says “I think she likes you a lot.” Angela floats “Bear” (Barrett) as another straight shooter. Yash: “You can go far solo, but you can always go further with people.” Angela sends him off: “You go circulate.”

Yash leaves and Angela goes into turtle mode.

11:37 AM — Devens and Drew (HOH)
Drew lays out the veto picture: “We got Barrett.” He’s precise about the terms — Barrett said he’d throw it to Melody, not hand it to her outright: “I don’t think he wants to give it to her. Throw it.” Devens on the seat opening up: “Any of those three will take you off. This whole thing was Angela’s idea.” Drew asks — “So we’re still going to go, like, the Rome route?” Devens: “100%. Like, to do all this and not take that shot?”
Drew relays what Rome told him: “If I were to win HOH, he would put you and Angela and Chuk, because he hates Chuk” — over Haley, which surprises Devens. Drew: “I think he’s also kind of backtracking about what happened yesterday, so he’s trying to channel energy somewhere else.” Devens: “I love the dude, I think he’s great, I’ve had so much fun with him in here. But… all I did yesterday was torch him in front of the entire house.” Drew: “That bridge is burned, unfortunately.”
Devens says he’d worried some of Toolshed would go soft — “keeping the nominations the same or trying to curry favor” — and names who floated it: “Kamu mentioned it.” His line back to the group: “I didn’t do all this just for us to do that.”
On future-comp threats, Drew floats that Kamu might quietly want Rome kept in the house — “he’s the next physical threat you look at” — to keep heat off himself. On the athletes: Kamu, “strong and lean,” good at endurance; Chuk, “so top heavy” that Devens figures “I might be able to outlast you.”
Then the veto stakes: “The only way is if someone doesn’t use it, because I’m putting Rome up.” Drew flags what Lyric asked — “Do I not use the veto if I win it?” — and Devens: “If she wins it and doesn’t use it, she’s out. I’m going to push so hard for you to go if you don’t use this.” On who they want to win it: not Jason. “We want Melody or Lyric to win it,” Drew says, “because then you put Rome, and it’ll be Rome versus Jason” in the Blockbuster.

11:42 AM — Dee joins (HOH)
Dee’s case against overthinking it — putting all three vets up would just hand Rome a better shot: “The risk isn’t worth the reward.” Devens: “If we can’t trust our people, then I’m screwed no matter what.” On being Rome’s target regardless: “I’m going up if he wins no matter what. I think I’ll be his target no matter what.”
On how little the ceremony blowup cost Rome: “As much as I tried to bury Rome, I really feel like I only scratched him. I don’t think he lost anyone.” Drew: “He lost Melody for sure” — and relays Melody’s spiral: “Like a 50-question multiple choice test, she’s like, I somehow went 50 for 50 wrong.”
Drew explains how Yash got flipped: after the explosion, he, Kamu, and Chuk cornered Yash on the couch and told him the truth about last week — “dude, you were going home. Rome rallied the votes against you because they didn’t want to piss off LaTrice.” Yash took it in, followed Drew to the gym, and came back changed: “I thank you guys for telling me this, I do not trust Rome whatsoever.” Drew: “He’s done with Rome as his number one, but he would still work with Rome. He’s just such a bro.”
Drew mentions, in front of Dee, that Yash had pitched a final three — “Drew, you and me go in there with Devens… let’s make a final three.” Devens jumps on the slip: “Why did you say that in front of Dee, dude? That could have been our final three. You just blew it.” Drew: “I just blew it.” Dee takes it in stride.
On the veto endgame, Devens wants Rome forced into the Blockbuster against a beatable opponent — “better to beat Rome at the Blockbuster.” On Angela’s America’s-vote veto: Devens assumes she’ll use it, since “this whole thing was kind of her idea,” but worries she might want to pull Jason specifically — “we would have to talk her out of that.” Barrett, per Drew, has offered a middle path: “I’ll throw it to Melody, but I won’t use it on Melody” — keeping up “the illusion that you’re not working with him.”
Devens’ preferred board if he wins it himself: leave the final three of Lyric, Jason, and Rome intact so Rome has nowhere to hide. On the cost either way: “Any one of those three is going to be after me.”
On Rome’s private state, Drew relays that Rome pulled him aside in the Have-Not room, “bummed,” and all but conceded: “Dude, love you a lot. I’m never going to gun for you. But if you’ve got to jump ship, just let me know — I’m not going to hold it against you.” Drew: “He feels like he’s kind of dead in the water. So right now is the week to do it.” He adds Rome “was crying like crazy.” Drew’s already told Melody “we’ll ride with Rome, but the second we jump ship, we just throw him under the bus.”

11:50 AM — Dee, Devens, and Drew (HOH, continued)
On Jason’s meltdown, Drew: “I don’t even know what they said to each other. I blacked out.” He clarifies the quoted line — Jason turned it on himself: “He called himself this bitch at one point… he was like, America, hate this bitch.”
Devens lays out the veto-day mechanics: play the veto today, ceremony Monday, eviction Thursday. On the plan: “Rome’s going up no matter what.” The only exception, repeated: “The only way he wouldn’t go up is if someone doesn’t use the veto” — and if one of the three keeps it on themselves, “I’m going to push so hard for them to go. Let’s set a precedent.” Drew relays Lyric floating exactly that to Rome — what if she wins it and doesn’t use it — and Rome shutting it down: “He told her, you’re an idiot. I can win the Blockbuster.” Devens: “To let her use that on him would be a strike to his manhood.”
On Angela’s veto, both assume she’ll use it but flag the risk she wants to pull Jason: “Angela would actually consider taking him off. We’d have to talk her out of that.” Barrett, per Drew, will keep his distance: “I think he’ll throw it. He’s not going to try to win this one.”
On Mallory, Drew tells Devens she’s turned on him: “She hates you now.” Devens: “I’m the one who was like, I’m not putting you up on the block, PQ.” Drew: “They’re all just like, Rome’s their ringleader. He’s a charismatic leader.” Devens works out that nominating Melody and Lyric hit Mallory’s people too, and that she’d expected the chaos to run the other direction — at Haley, Chuk, and Kamu. Devens: “It’s nice to have someone that hates me. Easy to put up.”
On his own move, Devens: “It’d be insane for me not to put Rome up. There’s no recovering at this point… it’s mission impossible either way.” Drew: “He fully expects that he’s going up.” Devens: “Why would I have blown him up in the meeting if I wasn’t going to put him up?”
~12:05 PM — feeds winding toward the veto
They look at the monitor — Angela’s out of the egg suit and off the floor — and game out the veto. Drew’s guess: “Somewhat physical, because the last one was mental,” figuring comps rotate mental, physical, endurance. Devens runs the player list — himself, Angela, Barrett, Jason, Lyric, Melody — and says: “I’m going to try to win.” Drew floats the scenario of Devens holding HOH and veto both: “Then you could wear both of them.” Devens jokes about doubling up the necklaces, “have them clinking together,” while the group pretends to plot against him.
Devens signs off with Drew: “No, I always want to talk.” Feeds drop for the veto competition shortly after.
12:20 pm Feeds go to the pound.
Bottom Line: The house is still headed toward a Rome backdoor, but Angela/Yash’s new trust pact and the shifting opinions on Mallory could create chaos if the veto gets used. Feeds are down for the competition now — expect fireworks whenever they return.
Devens Won Veto
Some thoughts.
Kamu. Seems to be playing a different season in his head than what we are seeing on feeds. In his version there is some big build up of an eventual cage match between Kamu and Rome. That really doesn’t exist in the episode edit or tbh in the house dynamic. For some time Rome seemed to have the same delusion.
Wellll… there is also the fact that go to for Kamu is target the woman.
in a true back door: the target does not play in veto. The target does not have any type of option to save themselves. The target has to be the initial planned target from the jump. It can’t be a post veto play renom shot for the fences that wasn’t going to be taken.
Thus far they are following the canon definition backdoor… but blockbuster means if Rome is renom he has an option to save himself with Blockbuster. THIS is why a TRUE back door cannot be done in a Blockbuster season.
Early Veto.
How long has backyard been closed? IF the veto is not yard played but studio played or individual timed…. what was the point of closing the yard? Sideye. Oh. A nowhere to go post nominations scenario. Tinfoil me would be having a field day.
Reminder. I will still likely kvetch to high heaven every time an individual time veto is played. Houseguests considered comp beasts that have multiple individual time veto wins? Not real comp beasts to me. Cookie crumbled.
As I said elsewhere, I never said that he would never put up Mallory because in BB people constantly change their minds (which, IMHO, the ‘powers that be’ love AND at times encourages). I don’t get where Mallory says she actually hates Devens…now Dee is a different matter. I think Mallory may not trust Drew much either and maybe Drew has picked-up on that and so is throwing shade/exaggerating things.
AND again, as I said elsewhere, when there a 2 ppl being loggerheads there can be the old “lets align because nobody would see it coming because they see us as enemies” nonsense…99.99% of the time I hate that especially early in a season. I hope that neither Devens or Angela backdown from targeting Jason and Rome let alone ‘cuddles up’ to them.
Devens had dropped lower on my list of who I wanted out ASAP, however, if he backs down from pushing for either Jason, Rome or Melody to go out (regardless of if it changes to Mallory or anybody else), then he would shoot back up on the list.
I highly doubt Devens will back down. Dude is GAME.
As far as Angela I think the odds of her winning anything are very low. She’s basically just a vote in there. Anything can happen though.
I wasn’t really thinking Angela would win POV…but as we have seen many times in the past, the person we think has the lest chance to win a comp DOES win one. Sometimes, that happens under the “crap happens” or they “luck out”. I was/am more worried thar she will verbally backtrack and try to save Jason by getting in peoples heads…and if Jason stays she could possibly decide to work with him in some capacity.
BTW, I saw/heard Rome floating the “nobody would see it coming” collaboration idea that I referenced earlier.
Side Note: I wish the animals feeds would show the 2 pups I’ve seen that are all alone (a Staffie and a Shep-Mix?) get a pal because they look so sad and lonely. Again, good thing I live so far from them ’cause I want to bring them home too and my current Menagerie is ‘kinda’ at the max amount already.
I agree. The pups need friends. I also love the kittens. My 14 year old cat likes watching the kittens, too.
My Menagerie does not really react to tv animals unless they hear them 1st then they watch the screen. We were watching a wildlife program once that had a peacock on it and it was making their signature cry and all of sudden the furbabies went bananas. So I did a little test, I went on the computer and looked up an audio file of one to see if the same reaction would happen…yepper, they started investigating the computer! But we don’t get to hear the furbabies on the feeds only see them. Today 1 of the gray ones had their face right-up to the camera and I could see that it was meowing but naturally we can’t hear the meowing.
I like the “cat races” and the 2 pups together on their backs and pawing the air over and over again together…reminded me of Drew on his back fluffing his hair! BUT I’d rather watch the pups laid back antics than Drew antics version of it.
Last night in the have not room. Rome and Lyric having pillow talk with people literally in arms length (mostly Jason). It’s a room with zero background noise and they’re not allowed earplugs,,,cringy. Who does that?
