2:20 pm The feeds return Devens has won the Power of Veto. It was a puzzle and some people found it “really hard”

2:24 PM — Rome and Drew (Bathroom)

Rome opens with the real question: “Does Devens take someone off the block to put me on? Or does he just leave it the same?” Drew: “I have no idea.” Both agree Jason isn’t going anywhere — “not a chance” — which narrows it to Melody or Lyric.

Rome works through the logic for pulling Melody specifically: “I guess he and Melody aren’t close… if he wants to really coordinate his strategy, he’ll pull Melody. And then he’ll put me up there with those two.” Drew agrees that puts Devens “in a really tough position,” and Rome follows the thread: “So then one of the three of us would have to go.” Drew offers the alternate read: “If he wanted to rebuild that bridge with you, he’d take Lyric off.”

Then Rome’s real theory — the one worth building the piece around. He floats that the entire public war might be cover for something nobody would ever suspect: “Devens is clever enough to say, hey, no one would ever suspect us working together now after what I did to you earlier in the game… it would also benefit me because no one would think I would be working with him.” He walks out what that would actually look like: “Take Melody off. Put me on. So then it’s the three people that I chose to save. And then let us fight it out.” He’s careful to hold the opposite possibility too — that he really is the target and none of it was a partnership: rebuild the relationship by taking Lyric off, leave Jason on the block, and put Rome up in her place.
They close with a shared shrug at the uncertainty: “Devens is definitely a wild card. You never know what he’s going to do.”

2:32 pm Melody and Dee

Melody finds Dee to decompress after the veto competition, and it opens as a tired, mutually supportive exchange — both admitting they needed to get away and clear their heads. Melody names the feeling plainly: “it’s just like disappointment in yourself” — not at the outcome itself, but at not being the one who won it.

She starts working through what’s still ahead of her: “There’s still Blockbuster. There’s still veto [ceremony]… maybe I can convince Devens. I don’t fucking know.” Dee doesn’t wait for her to ask: “I have no intention of voting you out. I don’t know what the heck Devens is going to do, but I have no intention of voting you out.” Melody: “No, thank you.” Dee adds she doesn’t need Melody to work her for it: “You don’t have to make round with me… or so you can be less stressed or whatever.”

Melody talks through her own read on the competition result, and lands somewhere close to relieved rather than defeated. She flags Jason as real competition — “obviously Jason is like a good competitor too, so that’s the scary part” — but says she’s genuinely glad it’s Devens who won rather than someone else, since it leaves her a real shot at making her case before Monday: “I’m honestly thankful that Devens got it… this is another chance… worse things could have happened.”

They continue to talk about their apartments for another 10 minutes.

2:52 pm Rome and Lyric
Rome – I love you
Lyric – I love you to.
Rome – I want one of us to make it far the best we can .. OK…
Rome – we’ll see what he does OK
Lyric – he’s going to keep noms the same
Rome – you think so? you think he’ll stick to his word?

Dicey Devens has all the power this week.

With the full “Lyme” showmance expected to go OTB, Jason’s odds of surviving are better.

We now take you inside Grod’s office to watch her inner turmoil between advancing a stuntcasts game stats or unleashing the pickleball blockbuster comp.

i feel they’ll try to push devens into keeping melody on the bloc and ultimately somehow convincing the house to vote her out. her personality isn’t that distict and she doesn’t have a showmance. bb generally wants showmances to last longer. the ideal is that they get split up such that one’s in jury and the other either exits prejury or goes the distance so they can advertise the finale as their reunion.

“Devens is clever enough to say, hey, no one would ever suspect us working together now after what I did to you earlier in the game” Yep, I saw/heard that live and I said “there it is, that didn’t take long. UGH!” I have news for the HGs, I bet that I am not the only one that could/would ACTUALLY see/be worried of that kind of deal happing and be on the look-out for signs of it. But then again, I have seen time and again people falling for it.

BTW, don’t forget that Lyric has been “working” on Dee since Dee put Mallory on the block week 1.

Apparently, Jason almost won POV, he lost by seconds.

Although I like 2 of the 3 “stuntcasts” & enjoyed their Survivor gameplay, I don’t approve of Grod’s blatant favoritism of them. She rigged the season at the start by allowing only the stuntcasts to compete for the 1st HOH. So far, it’s as if they are the only ones in the house. Dee wins 1st HOH. Rick wins 2nd HOH AND 2nd Veto. Awful Mrs. Murray wins America’s vote to win a power. Even tho she failed to earn that power, she was the only one who got that opportunity. It feels so far that this season is an all-star season with only 3 houseguests.
I wish Grod had let the newbies play the season out competing only against each other. I like ALL of the newbies. I can’t say the same about the stuntcasts. Oh, well. What’s done is done. I prefer a fair fight vs. Grod’s rigged playing field. At this point, I have no choice. Gonna have to root for the newbies to overcome the stuntcasts’ unfair advantages and have a newbie, ANY newbie, win this thing! I am officially Team Newbie.

AT THE VERY LEAST, they should NOT have had 2 from survivor, let alone 2 that know each other. IF THEY FELT THEY MUST HAVE 3 (well really, with Jason being in RPDR he is a 4th but he didn’t get the extras the other 3 got) they could have AT LEAST had the 3rd be from TAR instead.

But Grod is known for this nonsense! If Rachel had not been basically a ‘fake-out” this season and was actually playing, I would already be out for the season. I NEVER WANT TO SEE HER AGAIN, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, 3 seasons of her actually playing is enough.

Grod should just do a full season with ONLY stunt cross-over players and be done with it. But she probably won’t do that because it would be too expensive since those types are paid more than 100% reality-tv newbies.
