Chelsie won Big Brother 26, taking the jury 7-0 in the first perfect game ever played by a woman in the US series. The season is remembered for the AI Arena — a live eviction-night save competition that put three houseguests on the block every week.

Who won Big Brother 26?
Chelsie won Big Brother 26, beating Makensy by a unanimous jury vote of 7-0 on 13 October 2024. Every juror — Quinn, T’kor, Leah, Angela, Kimo, Rubina and Cam — voted for her.
She did it without receiving a single eviction vote all season. That combination — never voted against, then a unanimous win — is what the show’s audience calls a perfect game, and Chelsie is the first woman in the US series to play one. She also tied the record for most Head of Household wins in a single season with four.
The finale turned on a decision that was not hers. Makensy won the final Head of Household, and had to choose between taking Chelsie or Cam to the end. She took Chelsie — the strongest player left and, on most reads, the one person in the house she could not beat.
Makensy, asked afterwards whether she regretted it
“None. None whatsoever. I played the game I wanted to play and taking her, to me, was a testament to that. And I’m OK taking second to an amazing player.”
Chelsie did not see it coming either. “I thought it was going to be 4-3 Makensy, to be honest with you,” she said the same night. “The fact that it was unanimous, honestly, I am shocked.”
Who was in the Big Brother 26 cast?
Sixteen houseguests, all new to the show. In finishing order:
- 1st — Chelsie. Four Head of Household wins, no votes against her all season.
- 2nd — Makensy. Called MJ in the house and on the feeds all season. Won two AI Arenas, OTEV, and the final veto.
- 3rd — Cam. Evicted at the final three by Makensy’s Head of Household decision.
- 4th — Rubina. Won the last AI Arena of the season.
- 5th — Kimo. Won the very first AI Arena, on Day 10.
- 6th — Angela. Two Head of Household wins, and the season’s most divisive houseguest.
- 7th — Leah. Won the nine-hour-plus endurance comp that opened Jankie World.
- 8th — T’kor. One of only two houseguests who never played an AI Arena.
- 9th — Quinn. Held the Deepfake HOH power. First juror.
- 10th — Joseph. The last houseguest evicted before jury.
- 11th — Tucker. Won two AI Arenas, the season’s chaos engine, and America’s Favourite.
- 12th — Brooklyn.
- 13th — Cedric. Week 3 Head of Household.
- 14th — Kenney. Nominated three weeks running.
- 15th — Lisa.
- 16th — Matt. First out, 8-3.
There was also a seventeenth name on the season, and she was not a person. AINSLEY — Artificial Intelligence Network Self Learning Entity — was introduced on the premiere as a possible sixteenth houseguest, voted on by the cast, and then revealed as an AI construct. She hosted competitions, delivered rules, and glitched on cue for the rest of the summer.
What was the AI Arena in Big Brother 26?
The AI Arena was a live competition held on eviction night, in which three nominees played to save one of themselves. Whoever won came off the block, and the vote was then held between the two who were left.
It changed the shape of the whole week. Instead of two nominees, the Head of Household named three. If the veto was used, the Head of Household named a replacement to bring it back to three. Those three went into the Arena live on Thursday, one walked out safe, and only then did the house vote.
The practical effect was that nobody could count votes until the show was already on air. A houseguest could spend three days locked as the target and be safe by nine o’clock. It also meant the Head of Household’s plan could be undone by the person they were aiming at, in front of a live audience, with no time to rebuild it.
Every Arena was themed around fixing one of Ainsley’s malfunctions, and the names followed:
- Week 1 — Glitch in the System: Kenney, Kimo and Matt studied looping video screens and picked which houseguest appeared most. Kimo won.
- Week 2 — Security Race: gears and layered puzzle pieces. Tucker won easily.
- Week 3 — Data Dump: grab twenty red balls out of the air and get them into a tube. Tucker again.
- Week 4 — Upload, Download: roll balls up a shallow ramp, land five, knock them down the other side. Makensy won.
- Week 5 — Digital Decryption: Chelsie won.
- Week 6 — Puzzling Password: a ten-piece puzzle, then the matching ten-digit sequence. Makensy, her second.
- Week 7 — Bandwidth Boosters: untangle a rope using your own body until it reaches the target. Rubina won the last one.
It ran for seven weeks and then stopped. Its reach was narrower than it looked — with the same names going up over and over, only two houseguests, Leah and T’kor, never played one at all.
Production liked it. Executive producer Allison Grodner, asked about it after the season: “I think the AI arena was a big success.” The format returned the following year under a new name and a new theme — the BB Blockbuster.
The rest of the AI package
The Arena was the centrepiece, but the AI theme ran through four other twists:
- Deepfake HOH — Quinn. Once inside the first four weeks, he could secretly make the nominations through the real Head of Household’s AI avatar. He used it in week 4, taking over Angela’s reign. The house worked out it had happened.
- America’s Veto — Makensy. She could pull one nominee off the block, with viewers choosing the replacement. She used it in week 3 to save herself; viewers put Quinn up in her place.
- AI Instigator — Tucker. Viewers voted him the power to spread rumours through other houseguests’ AI avatars in week 6, then voted a second time on how much cash it was worth. They gave him $20,000.
- Jankie World — week 9. JANKIE, the Junior Artificial Neuro-Kinetic Intelligence Entity, took over the house. The cast spent the entire week living outdoors in a dystopian carnival built in the backyard.

Lisa won Spelling Bee and used it on herself. Angela named Matt.
Kimo won Glitch in the System and came off the block.

Cedric, in AINSLEY Land. Nominated Angela, Kenney and Tucker.
Tucker won Recharge My Core and used it on Angela. Cedric named Makensy — who immediately played America’s Veto to take herself down.
Viewers chose the replacement. Over five million votes were cast, and they put up Quinn.
Tucker won Data Dump, his second in a row.

Week 4 · Cedric evicted 6-3 8–15 August · Deepfake HOH
Angela won Bad A.I. — but Quinn played Deepfake HOH and made the nominations through her avatar. Cedric, Makensy and Tucker went up.
Tucker won Binary Bridge and used it on himself. Quinn, still hidden, named Rubina.
Makensy won Upload, Download.

Week 5 · Brooklyn evicted 8-1 15–22 August · the wall comp
Tucker won Firewall, the season’s wall endurance competition. Nominated Brooklyn, Cam and Quinn.
Tucker won Hide-and-Go Veto as well and used it on Quinn. Chelsie went up.
Chelsie won Digital Decryption and took herself straight back off.

Chelsie, in Ding Cam. With the Arena finished she named two: Angela and Kimo.
Makensy won OTEV the Trash-Talking Trash Panda — in a single round — and used it on Angela. Quinn went up.

Week 9 · T’kor evicted 4-1 12–19 September · Jankie World
The house was locked out into the backyard for the entire week.
Leah won Getting Toasted after roughly nine and three-quarter hours, when Angela stepped down and handed it to her. Nominated Kimo and Rubina.
Too Much of a Good Thing awarded two. Angela won the Golden Power of Veto; Leah, as runner-up, got the JANKIE Veto — but had to win a separate task to activate it, and failed. Her veto was dead on arrival.
Angela used the Golden Veto on Kimo. Leah named T’kor.
T’kor, 4-1, over Rubina.
Week 10 · Leah 4-0, then Angela 3-0 26 September · double eviction
Makensy won Eye Candy and nominated Angela and Kimo. She won The Wild Robot veto too, used it on Kimo, and named Leah. Leah evicted 4-0.
Chelsie took Warning Messages on a tiebreaker and nominated Angela and Kimo. Kimo won Eye in the Sky and used it on himself. Rubina went up.

Week 11 · Kimo evicted 2-0 26 September – 3 October
Makensy, in Killer Keycard. Nominated Kimo and Rubina.
Makensy won BB Comics and did not use it — ending a run in which the veto had been used every week of the season.

Chelsie, in Hidden Agenda. Nominated Cam and Makensy.
Makensy won Passcode Protectors, the last veto of the season, and used it on herself. Rubina went up automatically as the only eligible replacement.

What were the alliances in Big Brother 26?
The season began with one enormous alliance and spent the rest of the summer breaking it into pieces.
- The Collective. The early super-group: Angela, Cam, Cedric, Chelsie, Joseph, Kenney, Kimo, T’kor and Quinn. Far too big to hold.
- The Pentagon. The five inside it who actually ran things — Brooklyn, Cam, Cedric, Chelsie and Quinn.
- The Core, or CCC. Cam, Cedric and Chelsie. Named for their initials, and the only piece of the original structure that mattered at the end.
- The Visionaries. Quinn, T’kor and Kimo.
- Sixth Avenue. Formed out of the wreckage once the Collective and the Pentagon blew up: Tucker, Joseph, T’kor, Kimo, Rubina and Angela.
- Friendzzzz. T’kor, Kimo, Rubina and Tucker.
- Golden Girlies. Angela and Brooklyn’s final-two deal.
Chelsie is in three of those and was never evicted from any of them. That is most of the answer to how a player wins 7-0.
What is Big Brother 26 remembered for?
Four things, and they are not all the ones the show would have chosen.
The perfect game. Chelsie became the first woman in the US series to go the whole season without a vote against her and then win unanimously. The label had previously been attached to two winners, both men. “Winning Big Brother was obviously a dream,” she said afterwards, “but being a record-setter winner was not something that I anticipated.”
The finale decision. Makensy had the choice and took the wrong half of it, and the coverage has never stopped arguing about it. She has never backed away from it either.
The AI Arena. Three nominees a week, a live save on eviction night, and a format the show liked enough to bring straight back the following summer under a different name.
Tucker. Loud, chaotic, gone at week 6 — and then voted America’s Favourite by a landslide. He is the first pre-juror ever to win it, which tells you how much of the season he carried before he left.
