3:35pm Lounge Room – Lyric, Chuk and Yash
Chuk – So people aren’t looking at certain things and so I think you should feel good. Lyric wishes she had done things different in the veto comp. Yash – You don’t want to get off your gameplay and I’ve been there. Don’t look back on it and think what you could have done, like learn from your mistake. I don’t think you made any necessarily, but I’m sure maybe you think you did learn from them for your next competition. Learn from before the blockbuster. Don’t look back and think, I wish I did this, I wish I didn’t that because that can’t help you now. Look at it. Learn from it. Bring it into the next one ’cause you are competing in five days, four days. You want to be like, use this as a way to feel even better going into that comp. That’s what I did. Like, you lock the fuck in! Lyric – I am and I was since yesterday. But it’s like it’s tough too. I wanted to look at his puzzle and I didn’t and I need to stop dwelling on that. You know!? Yash – it doesn’t even matter if you looked at it, by the time you figured it out, he would have already had it. Lyric – you don’t think he (Rick) would take Melody down and put Rome up do you? Yash – I don’t think so but I don’t know anything. I am just happy to be here.
3:45pm Bedroom – Dee and Kamu
Dee – are you down for Rome to leave? Kamu – Yeah I think Rome is a big threat. Dee – I agree, I agree. He’s cool. Kamu – There is a good change he might win. Dee – Correct. Kamu – the block buster. Dee – right. But Jason is a good competitor to go against him. Kamu – its a win, win, win because either Rome leaves or one of the two that he is closest with leaves. Dee – Exactly. Correct, yes! Kamu – I think that’s the best move as Devens like I’ve already attacked him so hard. Dee – that’s the thing. You might as well go for it. And also that way somebody else doesn’t attach him, you know? In case he (Rome) does come back its one person (Rick) is attacking him. Kamu – so are you cool with that? Dee – I am super cool with it. Kamu – ok! Dee – I am cool with whatever. If you guys were down for someone else, I would have been down too because at the end of the day, nobody in there is in our alliance. So it doesn’t matter. Kamu – exactly. Its a real big threat. Dee – Correct. Especially for him as a man for you guys it is tough. Kamu – Of course getting out someone who is a good competitor and who is influential. Dee – Correct, correct. Kamu – He would have half the house to go with him. Dee – yeah, crazy. And he is good enough to rebuild the relationships. Kamu – for sure. He told me this morning, I would never put you up. Dee – yeah he’s trying.
4:25pm Storage room – Mallory and Angela
Angela – I’m so happy everything is going the way it is for you. Mallory – I’m nervous about the vote and stuff. I’m friends with Melody and Lyric. Angela – I know you are. I know you are. It’s really, really tough and unpleasant for sure. I think you shouldn’t worry. Mallory – Yeah, I hope. Angela – I don’t know too much because I didn’t know for sure. Not you, he didn’t want to. Mallory – That’s right.
4:40pm Storage Room – Mallory and Melody
Melody – you do what’s best too. But like I just don’t want like go in there and be like and not verbatim but even like maybe use it on our melody, maybe use it on Lyric, cause, you know how people work like they don’t want to do anything that isn’t their own idea. Mallory – Mm-hmm. Melody – like, I want them to think that using the veto on me is his own idea. Mallory – maybe I just won’t talk to him. I don’t even want it’s like, read my face or anything. Melody – yeah Ok, ’cause I think I’m going to talk to him, and I’m gonna be like, and I’m just gonna be straight up with him, because I’m actually on the block. I’m going to be like hey, are you thinking about keeping the nominations the same? So you don’t get more blood on your hands. Are like, are you considering taking someone off the block to potentially put someone else up? Like, I’m just asking genuinely. And then, of course, I’ll be like, selfishly, if any point you want to use it on me, I’ll be like, yeah, I’ll be eternally grateful and bla bla bla bla bla
Mallory – yeah, I think that’s good. Like, if you really want to hurt Rome it would make more sense for Lyric to go. Which obviously I don’t want. But between you and her, like, that would be what I think. Melody – What would be cool is that, if he does take me on the block, he puts up Rome… Mallory – either one will go home. Melody – Rome wins the blockbuster, and then its Lyric and Jason, because Jason is going to go home. Mallory – I think, yeah, if Rome and Jason go up with Lyric, I think Lyric is staying. Melody – Yeah, like whoever Lyric is up against if she’s on the block, Lyric will stay next to Jason. Mallory – I would want it to be Jason that goes. Melody – I think everybody feels that way. But it depends because yes Jason is messy but he kind of killed all of his connections in the house. So it wouldn’t be a terrible thing to keep him from their perspective because he is just another person to get out. Whereas like Rome, I don’t think they want Rome to repair anything with anyone. But you know what I was thinking about too? I’m like what if Devin’s is like really, really smart? Or wants to like be like, hey, no one would suspect us working together to Rome. So that they have a secret alliance you know what I mean, because I heard him talking about it. Mallory – you heard what? Melody – I heard Rome talking about that. He was like, I wonder if Devin will do that. Mallory – I don’t think so .. what would be the benefit of having a 2 person alliance right now. Melody – yeah well selfishly I just really hope that I am off the block.
5pm – 5:40pm Lounge – Drew, Yash, Rome, Kamu, Chuk, Melody and Lyric are all chatting random things and hanging out. Meanwhile in the living room – Haley, Devens, Lala, Barrett, Taylor and Jason are chatting.
6:15pm – 6:35pm Kitchen – Mallory and Lyric are making slop cupcakes. They head to the storage room and chat. Lyric – I hate the possibility of me and Melody going up on the block but you know I got you and I hope that you choose me. Mallory – I will keep you. And if it looks like you’re the one to go, I will tell you. Lyric – okay. Mallory – but I am going to advocate for you the best that I can. I’m going to say like Umm you’re someone that Rome would sacrifice his game for so if people want to wreck Rome’s game, keeping you is better. Like he would sacrifice his game for you. Lyric – HMmmmhmm. Mallory – but I am going to do everything I can to keep you. Lyric – thank you! Does this sound terrible but like tonight I am going to have a talk with Devens and obviously I want him to use the veto on me. But I don’t know if Rome is going to go up there and do the thing of put me up instead of Lyric. Mallory – Ahh.. Rome might honestly. Lyric – He told me he loves me. Mallory – well he should! Lyric laughs and then says I have to fart.

It would be awesome if this site could put a “like” text filter so I don’t have to read every other word that is “like”. Every now and then sure, but OMG with this amount already. how do they pass English class in HS if that is how they speak?

haha I know what you mean. I actually cut out a lot of the likes but I feel like it also shows the educated / intelligent HGs versus the ones that say like for every other word. If I cut them all out you might think that house guest speaks well and is a strategic thinker .. when they’re really not.

To be fair a LOT of people do that more than you think. I am in my mid-50’s and grew up in the 80’s where adding “like” as much as you could in a sentence was cool. Of course I grew out of that, but having said that in some cases I end up doing it quite often. Mostly it comes out due to nerves, stress or frustration. At those times I don’t even realize I’m doing it. I don’t watch the feeds, but it could be the same type of thing. It becomes a frequent filler in those situations. I imagine there might be a few others such as, “you know”, “basically”, & “just saying”. I also work at a HS and hear many a student & teacher overuse “like” in speech as well as the others. As for how they pass English, that is about written language not so much spoken. I think Speech teachers give leeway for idea and content vs. what comes out frequently due to nerves.
Does anyone ever think about how a showmance can be a positive thing for one’s game? In theory it is believed that a showmance is dangerous b/c the couple will vote the same way. However, can that not be a reason to bring them into your alliance b/c that suggests that you will have two votes guaranteed? The couple wants to remain on the show as long as possible, so by guaranteeing their safety you get their loyalty and votes. In theory a win/win? This works until you get down to 5, then it’s still to your advantage b/c you just have to be part of the dominant trio whereas they will just be two. Possible? I get why everyone always wants to break up a showmance couple, but I think there could be strategy in keeping them too.
yeah, a showmance is numbers plus a pretty easy shield. it’s way less bad than people think. in the mccrae/amanda season a lot of players actually realized this and tried to use it, but every other season people treat showmances as bad.
I’ve been having a tough time watching Chuk talk game…it’s always a little off somehow.
