The renom is official. At the veto ceremony Taylor used the Power of Veto on herself, and Haley named Lyric as the replacement — Drew, Melody and Lyric go into Thursday’s BB Blockbuster.
The aftermath played out in small rooms. Lyric sat alone after the ceremony, told the camera it was looking at her, and by 1:13 was in the storage room telling Mallory she doesn’t want to play with Chuk — while Mallory answered that he’s probably a good guy who wants her out. In the bathroom Haley walked Drew through the wording that made it all work: she told Lyric and Yash she wouldn’t nominate them, “but that doesn’t mean the renom isn’t up for grabs.” Nobody caught it. Meanwhile Mallory is untangling a misquote that’s been chasing her for days — she told people she wouldn’t put Taylor up, Taylor overheard it as would, and the house ran with it.
Around the house: Melody gave Taylor the official story on the renom — Lyric went up for leaking on the girls — and Taylor took it with a “so she outed us,” adding that Drew is “not credible with me anymore.” Angela, up in the HOH bed with Haley, loved the move and figures it cracks some of Lyric’s connections; And upstairs at the weights, Barrett and Devens ran the next-week board — Kamu the biggest threat in every category but weirdly the one Barrett trusts most, a Yash win survivable, and Lyric’s renom target probably Haley. Devens, quietly holding the strongest power in the house, declared himself done for the week: “There’s really no reason to say anything. I’m just here for a good time.”
BB28 Time Capsule tally
The BB Time Capsule is a multi-week America’s Vote twist running Weeks 2 through 7. America votes one houseguest into the capsule each week, that person competes, and they either win a power or take a punishment. Each houseguest can only go in once.
- Week 2 — Angela Murray: lost, and wore the Hard-Boiled Detective costume
- Week 3 — Rick Devens: won the Diamond Power of Veto
- Week 4 — Dee Valladares: BB Bribe power. This allows her to offer one houseguest $5,000 in exchange for performing an action that benefits her game.
1:00 pm Feeds return after the POV Ceremony:
Taylor used the Power of Veto on herself, and Haley named Lyric as the replacement nominee — exactly the plan the HOH room settled on. Drew, Melody and Lyric go into Thursday’s BB Blockbuster, and Drew still believes he’s the pawn.

1:06 pm – Haley and Drew Bathroom
Haley: “It’s just so much pressure, too. And then I’m like, ugh.”
Drew: “No, the good thing is, like, you only have two people mad at you. Like, maybe Taylor. And then it’ll be one of those two.”
Haley: “We’re good now.”
Haley explains the wording she used with the people she promised safety.
Haley: “I could tell her and Yash, I said, yeah, I won’t nominate you — but I was like, that doesn’t mean the renom isn’t up for grabs.”
Drew: “Yeah.”
Haley: “Like, nobody knew.”

1:09 pm – Lyric alone in the Pod Room
Lyric: “The camera’s looking at me.”
The feeds cut. When they return, Lyric and Mallory are in the storage room.

1:13 pm – Lyric and Mallory in the Storage Room
Lyric: “Chuk is a good guy.”
Mallory: “I’m sure he’s a good guy.”
Lyric: “Yeah, but I don’t want to play with him.”
Mallory: “I’m sure he’s a good guy, but he wants me out.”
Lyric: “Wait, let me go get the bowl. Let me just make it in here. Actually, no. I should go out there. I don’t want to.”
Mallory: “I might go lay in my pod. I don’t feel like talking. Maybe I’ll come out in a little.”
Mallory: “I’m going to lay for a little, wait for the kitchen to be less crowded, and then maybe make another cup of coffee.”
Lyric: “Okay, sounds good.”

1:11 pm — Barrett and Mallory in the pod room
Mallory is still dealing with a misquote that went around the house.
Mallory: “She said that to everyone, like Dee — I would put Taylor up. Lyric and I were talking about how she said I would put Taylor up. But I wouldn’t. Taylor was down here and heard would. I was saying I wouldn’t.”
Barrett: “So people were trying to use that shit against you.”
Mallory: “Yeah.”
Barrett: “That’s f—ed.”
Mallory: “Like, I just gotta figure out what to do, but… oh well.”
Mallory: “I’ll go to the gym later. I’m just gonna digest now and lay and contemplate my life.”
Barrett: “Digest in every way.”
Mallory: “Yeah, digest everything.”
Later — Drew and Melody
They’re waiting on the bathroom.
Drew: “Oh boy. Maybe I could jump in there first.”
Drew: “Are you going to stink it?”
Melody: “I’m not going to stink it.”
Drew: “I’ll be real quick.”
Drew: “Those shots will look cool, though, because it’ll be like me in the middle in pink, and then you right here in pink.”
Melody: “Wow. On some Romeo and Juliet type shit.”
Melody: “Wow. That really is poetic.”
Melody: “You seem so bored.”
Drew: “I’m not.”
On the food:
Drew: “I mean, because a lot of people here, like, don’t. Like, Mallory doesn’t like red meat. There’s have-nots. Like, Haley eats pretty healthy. Chuk eats pretty healthy.”
Melody: “Chuk eats healthy, but Chuk will for sure eat one.”
Drew: “Yeah, that’s true.”

1:36 pm – Barrett and Devens, working out upstairs
Devens: “I only ever want to lift a weight when I’m all alone. Because I’m so intimidated.”
Barrett: “I’m very comfortable with my routine, and if anybody wants to, like, correct me on it, I’m just going to crumble.”
Devens: “And that being said, this was the first time I picked up a weight. So it’s not like I’ve been secretly doing it or anything. But I was like, oh, I’m in here alone. This is nice.”
Devens: “I don’t have to read the comment section on this video.”
Barrett reports what Mallory told him.
Barrett: “Mallory just told me — like, Mallory’s being way too soft on Lyric right now. So she’s like, Lyric just told me that Chuk had been interrogating her about who she might want to put up, or who I would put up. And she had mentioned that at one point I had said Chuk’s name as someone I would put up. And then I guess Chuk ran with it, or whatever.”
Devens: “I was just excited my name wasn’t in any of the four. I was like, damn. Mallory’s even cooler in my book now.”
Barrett: “No, she was very much like, you don’t think Dee and Devens actually think I would put them up, right?”
Devens: “I’m getting further and further away from that idea.”
Barrett: “No, she was very concerned that y’all would be like, no.”
Devens: “I really like Pipe Queen.”
The feeds flip. When they return, the talk is next week.
Barrett: “Others call it HOH-itis.”
Devens: “You know, it’s not even worth talking about till there’s a new HOH. That’s what’s so frustrating. It’s like, you can’t really get ahead.”
Barrett: “And if it’s the wall HOH, it’s just like, just f—ing give it to Kamu again, I guess. Like, damn.”
Devens: “I don’t know, man. I definitely think he’d be a big contender. That’s when I can see Lyric or Mallory pulling it out. They’re small. Center of gravity is at their hips.”
Barrett: “At this point, I’m like, who the f— would Lyric put up?”
Devens: “I would think Haley.”
Devens: “That could be good for us, that she was so blunt.”
Devens: “But no, I don’t know where Lyric’s head is at. Like, just this whole, anytime I have an ally in trouble, I bail on them thing is not — like, that’s the exact opposite of how I play things.”
Barrett: “It just seems like a lonely way to play.”
Devens: “It does.”
On Drew:
Devens: “It’s like, Drew has become a problem for us. If he wasn’t — you know, it’s not because we feel attached to him. It’s just because he’s all over the damn place.”
Barrett: “Yeah, he threw out you and Dee’s name so easily. He threw out y’all’s name so casually and easily.”
Devens: “Disappointing. When he full-on knows y’all are in an alliance with Haley.”
Devens: “Now, we’ll see. We’ve gotten so lucky with the Blockbusters the last two weeks. He could easily be back next week. And then — who wins that HOH?”
Devens: “Especially with Kamu back able to compete. He’s a much bigger threat in every category than Chuk at this point.”
Barrett: “Yeah. Easily. But he’s also weirdly the one I would trust the most out of those three.”
Devens: “True. True.”
Devens: “It’s like, let’s get a Yash win. Just go totally wild. I could see him winning that one. I don’t know who he’d go with, but I think we’d be okay.”
Barrett: “I mean, the way he sounded last week, he sounded like he wanted Chuk and Haley up there.”
Devens: “He’s apparently — you were telling me that he’s got Chuk issues, right?”
Barrett: “Yeah.”
Devens: “So, that’s good.”
Devens: “But I think for the rest of the week, I’m just checked out. There’s really no reason to say anything. I’m just here for a good time.”
Barrett: “Yep.”

1:43 pm – Melody and Taylor whispering in kitchen
Melody gives Taylor the story behind the renom.
Melody: “I feel like I have a fighting chance. Because, I don’t know — like, allegedly, I heard — don’t say anything — but I heard that Lyric was basically leaking information about us to Haley before this. That’s why.”
Taylor: “She didn’t want to go out first.”
Melody: “And then that’s why. That’s why she’s going up.”
Taylor: “So she outed us.”
Taylor: “She’s the reason we’re up. Because she went up telling them everything we were saying.”
Melody nods.
Melody: “That’s what I heard.”
Taylor: “From who? Haley?”
Melody mouths no.
Taylor: “Drew?”
Melody shakes her head.
Taylor: “Because he’s not credible with me anymore.”
Melody: “Just saying, friend.”
Melody: “No, but I get it. But I totally get it.”
Taylor: “But from a source.”
Melody: “I think she just started playing really aggressively and tried to jump ship, even though she wasn’t on the block. And then, like, it rubbed Haley the wrong way.”
Taylor: “It’s like, you jumping on your friends.”
Melody: “Kind of how I felt last week. I said, I can’t do that. She basically did.”
Taylor: “Damn. It’s not a good look.”
Melody: “They were in a room, and I guess Lyric was promising to, like, everybody. And everyone was like, what the f—? Like, on the other side of the house.”
Taylor: “Damn.”
Melody: “Allegedly. I don’t know. That’s what I heard.”

2:08 pm – Mallory and Drew Kitchen Counting votes
An hour after the ceremony, the two of them start counting votes.
Drew: “Then we should keep you, me, Barrett, and Melody, if we can. You know what I mean?”
Drew: “Lyric’s already jumping ship to the other side. So, like, low-key, if she’s on there, like—”
Mallory: “I’m going to be honest. I don’t think you have the votes. But if you do—”
Drew: “I don’t have them.”
Mallory: “Do you think the whole other side is going to vote?”
Drew: “Do you think, like, if I don’t win Blockbuster, I’m going home?”
Mallory: “Did you talk to the other side before?”
Drew: “Yeah.”
Mallory: “I’ve been under the impression they put Lyric up because they’re all gonna vote to keep her.”
Drew: “Or maybe.”
Mallory: “That’s just what I assumed.”
Drew: “So, like, me or Melody are leaving this week?”
Mallory: “We just have to talk to our side. I think we can get Lyric to go. I think.”
Mallory: “I want you both to stay. If everyone on our side votes for you against Lyric, then we’re good.”
Drew: “But do you think the other side’s voting me out?”
Mallory: “Yeah.”
Drew: “Really?”
Mallory: “Just because Haley put you up.”
Drew: “Yeah. She also put up Melody.”
Mallory: “Yeah — what if it’s you versus Melody?”
Mallory: “I don’t know.”
Drew: “No, like, if it’s me versus Melody, I would hope you vote for Melody.”
Mallory: “I’d vote for Melody to stay, but—”
Mallory: “If our whole side votes to keep you, we have the majority.”
Mallory: “Have you talked about votes?”
Drew: “I haven’t talked to them yet, because I was waiting for the renom.”
Mallory: “I feel like Barrett would know where their head is at.”
Drew: “Yeah, we’ll see.”
Mallory: “But even if everyone on our side votes to keep you, you would be good.”
Drew: “That’s over, like, Lyric, right?”
Mallory: “Yeah.”
Mallory: “I want both you and Melody to stay, and if the votes are there, I’ll vote to keep you. But I don’t know.”
They count the other side.
Mallory: “Who on the other side would want you over Lyric?”
Drew: “Like, Devens. And Dee. I’m like, maybe Kamu.”
Mallory: “I don’t think Kamu. I feel like he has a crush on her.”
Drew: “Yeah.”
Drew: “If I get those three, plus, like — Yash. Barrett. Oh, and you.”
Mallory: “And Melody.”
Drew: “And Melody.”
Mallory: “I’m nervous relying on the icons. Because they told me I would be safe too, and they turned on me.”
Drew: “Oh. Yeah.”
Mallory: “But I think we could convince our entire side.”
Drew: “I’d be curious to see what Lala and Taylor want to do.”
Mallory: “She’s just too wishy-washy.”
Mallory: “This is tough.”

2:23 pm – Angela and Haley, HOH room.
The feeds later flip to Barrett and Drew working out, then back.
Angela: “Such a difference from your last encounter up here.”
Haley: “Well, the last one I was involved in — a much bigger difference.”
Angela: “I don’t know that she’d put you up now.”
Haley: “Nope, not at all.”
Angela: “Wow. How did you do that?”
Haley: “She might go one for one.”
Angela: “So good. I listen to you, master. Wow.”
Haley: “I really think that after all this, everyone’s looking at me like, I did not see this coming from me.”
Angela: “Nope. It was just like — you were just back straight up. This is what. I’m not aggressive. I’m laying back. I’m chill. This is what’s going on. This is what I’ve observed. This is how I feel. I have no apologies with that. You want to talk? Let’s talk some more. Amends? Sounds good to me. Hey, this is who we’re putting up. This is the target.”
Angela: “I mean, like, you’re sharing it with her. So she feels a part of it. So smart.”
Angela: “I have to learn from you.”
Haley: “I just also don’t ever want to feel like I’m walking on eggshells either.”
Angela: “No, absolutely not.”
Haley: “So I told Chuk, and I said, if it’s ever going to be a decision where I’m getting sent home, just f—ing tell me. I’m not going to do any boo-hoo-y, like, sitting on the couch crying.”
Angela: “Why did you say that to Chuk?”
Haley: “Because he keeps telling me he’s going to send me home.”
Haley: “In these things where it’s like 13 to zero, 14 to zero. Nobody voted for Jason, right? It was a wash.”
Angela: “I didn’t vote for him. I don’t think anyone voted for him. Did he have one vote? No.”
Haley: “No, the last three were 14 to zero, 12 to one, 11 to zero.”

The Drew what-if:
Angela: “Barrett doesn’t—”
Haley: “Know. You can’t tell him.”
Angela: “I’m not. I’m telling you, my feelings are out of this. I’m so over it. I was happy to be here, but I am over it for a couple weeks.”
Angela: “Let’s just say he comes back. He doesn’t know that he was the target.”
Haley: “Who?”
Angela: “Drew. Let’s say he comes back because he wins the Blockbuster. He doesn’t realize he was the target — but now a couple other people do know that he was. Which could make him vengeful.”
Haley: “I don’t think anyone would tell him.”
Angela: “You don’t? Not even Yash?”
Haley: “Yash wanted to put him up.”
Angela: “A long game.”
Haley: “I don’t think Yash would.”
Angela: “And he knows it wasn’t just my decision, though.”
Haley: “Yeah, he knows that wasn’t my decision.”
Haley: “He knows that collectively everyone heard the same shit. So it was like a majority. It was a collective insult. And I just so happened to be the one put up.”
Haley: “Honestly, if somebody wants to come after me, come after me.”
Angela: “We don’t want that.”
Haley: “I know, but at the end of the day, it’s so silly to sit here and be like, you’re not going to get put up eventually.”
Angela: “I’m not saying that. I’m just saying it’s a reason somebody holds on to.”
Haley: “Well, it’s the same thing that Yash said — and I heard that I was the target all along. I’m like, no, you’re still here. Sorry. People like to talk shit.”
Haley: “And I said, I’ll say, ask Angela, ask Kamu, ask Chuk. There you go. They ain’t gonna lie to you.”
Haley: “But at the end of the day, this game will eventually end. This is a long f—ing game.”
Angela: “It really is.”
Haley: “I still can’t believe we’re in here for this long.”
Angela: “It’s like you almost have to pace yourself a little bit too.”
Angela: “But I feel like the HOHs, except for Ashley’s, have been very, very good. Because we’ve gotten out some pretty big hitters. Some people that were definitely playing super, super hard and too fast, and would have definitely jeopardized our staying here.”
On a possible returnee:
Haley: “The only thing — if there is a power to bring somebody back, I don’t think anybody in this house would bring back—”
Angela: “No.”
Haley: “No, I think if somebody were to bring back someone, they’d bring back Ashley.”
Angela: “I think so also. But they have to play something in order to come back. They have a challenge to play.”
Haley: “You don’t think Ashley could do it?”
Angela: “Yeah, they’d make it fair, that all of them could be capable of winning.”
Angela on the wall comp:
Angela: “There’s only a few games I feel like are not totally fair game for all players. Like, for instance, the wall. God knows I’m not holding on that wall for very long. They know it and I know it. You’re gonna do great this time.”
Angela: “I’m jumping on my own free will.”
Haley: “No, I’m not gonna let you, girl.”
Angela: “I tried last time and I still was the first to drop. And it was scary, because I wasn’t prepared. I just dropped like dead weight. Dead weight.”
Haley: “I’m not going to let you drop. We’re going to talk through the whole thing.”
Angela: “You don’t understand, Haley, how it goes. Well, it goes back up. It goes back up. It waits a minute. Like, it waits.”
The feeds flip downstairs.

2:29 pm – Barrett and Drew, working out
Drew: “Now I’m scared. They ain’t going to win again.”
Barrett: “Hopefully not.”
Drew: “They can’t. They have three weeks in a row of power. I’m going to f—ing scream.”
Barrett: “Because Kamu can play. He can win it again.”
Drew: “Kamu could win that wall easily.”
Drew: “Chuk keeps coming up to me and he’s like, dude, you’re chill. He’s like, you want me to talk to Lala for you too? So I’m, like, somewhat hopeful, actually, that Chuk is going out of his way to tell me I’m okay.”
Barrett: “Thanks, Chuk.”
Drew: “But is that — I’m still scared. Because are they just debating my ass?”
Barrett: “Why would he need to talk to Lala if he’s voting to keep you?”
Drew: “I don’t even know. I don’t even know. What are we talking about?”

The feeds flip back to the HOH. Haley is describing a tuna fish smoothie, and wanting to go on Fear Factor.
Haley: “It sounds nasty, but I feel like that would be — because I want to go on Fear Factor. I love Fear Factor.”
Angela: “And they revamped it.”
Haley: “They’ve had two seasons.”
Angela: “No, thank you. Because I hate that stuff.”
Haley: “What about the one where they had the conveyor belt and they just had to keep eating everything?”
Angela: “Yeah, no. I don’t want to, like, eat a bunch of shit.”
Angela: “Well, I’ll watch you from the sidelines and root you on.”
Angela: “Actually, if I’m given that opportunity to play in something like that, I’m going to do it. But it is the wall that only scares me, that I know I can’t hold on. Which is fine. That’s just not my thing. But everything else, I’d give it my all.”
They rank the house on the wall.
Haley: “I think Kamu and Mallory would battle.”
Haley: “And Yash, I think, would be good.”
Haley: “I would drop eventually. You’d be up there a long time.”
Haley: “Chuk would drop. He’s too dense.”
Haley: “Lala might — if she doesn’t wear her nails, she could stay up a while. No, I think she’d drop, because all the goo and shit would get her. And then she’d freak out and drop.”
Haley: “Taylor would stay up there a while.”
Haley: “Drew would drop. Melody would drop. Devens is dropping. Devens is dropping.”
Haley: “Dee would make it — more than half the other people that I just named would drop.”
Angela: “Showdown between Kamu and Mallory and Yash.”
Haley looks at the memory wall.
Haley: “Let’s see my little memory wall. Oh, is that Devens?”
Haley: “Yeah, I want her to keep talking to people.”
Angela: “She likes Devens, so that’s good. But at the same time, if she says she’s putting his ass up — I just don’t think she said that. She doesn’t strike me.”
Angela: “I mean, I sat with her in the hammock, had a very pleasant talk. And I told her that I was proud of her and everything, and, you know, winning herself off.”
Haley: “Yeah, I don’t make a lot of promises to people. I feel like saying, if you don’t put me up, I don’t put you up, is a pretty fair promise. I feel like that’s fair.”

2:41 pm Chuk and Lyric play ‘Cheskers’.
This is the smoothing-over conversation the alliance assigned him.Chuk: “Do you know how to play Cheskers?”
Lyric: “Cheskers?”
Chuk: “I said Cheskers. Did I say Cheskers?”
Lyric: “Yeah. Yeah, I do. Let’s do it.”
Chuk: “She made up this crazy rule, bro. Her rules were crazy.”
Lyric gets to it.
Lyric: “Chuk, you would tell me if I was in danger, right?”
Chuk: “Who’s coming up? Who’s coming up?”
Lyric: “No, no, no. Melody.”
Chuk: “I would.”
Chuk: “I would, for real.”
Lyric: “You would? Okay. Thank you.”
Chuk: “I want you to be completely honest with me.”
Lyric: “No, I’ve been nothing but honest.”
Chuk: “The house is just crazy. Everyone’s different, right? Some people believe people, some people don’t. And it sucks.”
Chuk: “I think it’s just going to get harder and harder each time. It’s almost like, who do they believe? Do they believe this person? Do they believe this person?”
Chuk: “What did she tell you today?”
Lyric: “What did she tell me? She told me that people are spreading different stories — saying that I’m going around saying different stories. And that’s not true. I’ve been saying the exact same thing to every person. To you and Kamu, the exact same thing.”
Lyric: “It’s okay. People can choose what they want to believe. Roll the tapes. You know, my story is the same.”
Lyric: “It’s gonna be okay regardless.”
Chuk: “But I understand everyone hears things differently and takes things in differently. And so people also have to look out for themselves.”
Lyric: “I get that. I just think, like, me being with Rome and Jason — it’s kind of like, they’re gone already, you know? So I’m kind of like a free agent, in a way.”

They keep playing.
Chuk: “It’s okay. It’ll be okay.”
Lyric: “Yeah, it’ll be fine. It just sucks that I have to, like, campaign for myself. Like, that sucks.”
Chuk: “I know. That has to be so annoying.”
Lyric: “Again, like, it’s me. This is shit, but it’s okay.”
Chuk: “You always look at things so positively.”
Lyric: “I try to. What else am I going to do? Am I going to pout? Am I going to grab a teapot and start banging? No.”
Chuk: “Don’t, please.”
Lyric: “Nobody would expect it from the little girl.”
Lyric: “My biggest fear in the world is that one of them has an HOH takeover.”
Lyric: “Would they put noms up, like, immediately? So I put my noms up, and then they take it over?”
Lyric: “Well, actually, on 23, they put noms up first. Because it was, like, Tiffany won HOH, and then Claire took it over, and then just nominated the exact same people.”
On being on the block a third time:
Lyric: “Third time. I think I have the most out of everyone in this house.”
Chuk: “I hate it, because you’re so sweet. And the block queen.”
Chuk: “The BQ.”
Chuk: “Your mom’s heart rate.”
Lyric: “That damn showmance.”
Chuk: “It’s okay. It’s no regrets. You know, you loved and you loved. We always talk about — you’re a lover girl.”
Lyric: “Yeah, I definitely am.”
Lyric: “I screwed up my whole game.”

Drew walks through and reports upstairs. The feeds flip to the HOH at 3:05 pm — Drew with Haley and Angela.
Drew: “Am I allowed to come?”
Haley: “Yeah, just hanging on the bed.”
Drew: “Right now, like, Lyric’s crying with Chuk.”
Haley: “No.”
Angela: “What did you say?”
Drew: “Lyric playing chess with Chuk.”
Angela: “Oh, I thought you said crying.”
Drew: “Yeah, she’s crying.”
Haley: “Oh.”
Drew: “But I think you handled it well. I know it’s tough.”
Haley: “I mean, I gave her the reasons why I was putting her up. So I’m like, you can’t just jump ship and act like you’re safe.”
Drew: “Sorry, what?”
Haley: “Yeah, she jumped ship.”

Back outside at the chess table 3:06 pm.
Lyric: “It’s real, right? These are real people, so that’s why it feels so real.”
Chuk: “You know, when we were coming here, it was, like, easy. It was not real. No one’s real, you know? It’s easy to convince yourself no one’s real, but then you start—”
Chuk: “I tried my best to not get personal when I came in here. And, I mean, you just can’t help it. I spent so much time trying not to.”
Lyric: “I feel like you’re expected to be strong, right? To walk around with a badass face. But, like — you can’t help but think that, like, people are out to get you, you know?”
Chuk: “Oh, I know. I’m sure that feeling is probably the worst.”
Chuk: “Actually, no one is out to get you. No one is out to get you.”
Chuk: “Maybe it had to be made to get someone else. And sometimes someone needs to sit there until that person that is trying to get out, is out. And so sometimes people are caught in the crossfire because they’re trying to get someone else out.”
Lyric: “Who is it? Who is it you’re talking about?”
Chuk: “It’s either or. She wants either or. I don’t know for sure.”
Chuk: “Don’t worry. Trust me, you are in a good spot. Don’t worry.”
Lyric: “I just feel like I can’t trust anyone.”
Chuk: “I know.”
Lyric: “Can you trust me?”
Chuk: “I think so. I want you to. As long as, like, we help each other.”
Chuk: “I want you to trust me.”
Chuk makes the case.
Chuk: “If you were supposed to go home, wouldn’t you have just been nominated automatically?”
Lyric: “The backdoor is the best way to get someone out.”
Chuk: “You’re not Jason. You’re not Jason. You and Jason are complete opposite people. That was needed because Jason kept winning. Remember, Jason just kept winning Blockbusters and music. He was very good at coming back. So that was needed for Jason. This is a completely different week, completely different situation.”
Chuk: “And remember, I was supposed to win to keep it the same. But I didn’t.”
Chuk: “If we were trying to backdoor you, I would have tried my best to throw the cup as much as possible. But I truly wanted to win, to keep noms the same.”
Chuk: “And she told you too — she wanted to keep noms the same. So that should give you some good thing. If we wanted to keep noms the same, and you weren’t the original noms, that means you were not the person whoever is trying to go for.”
Chuk: “Now, if I had done the comp and I was elated that I didn’t win — yes, let’s go, I didn’t win — then that’s when you should probably have been worried.”
Chuk: “So hopefully that reassured you just a little bit.”
Chuk: “I was so mad that I didn’t win that. I was like, f—. I didn’t want to put her in a bad position. She’s in a bad position too — she had to renom. So she wasn’t happy. And I really wanted to take care of her.”
Chuk: “Please still trust Haley. She’s doing the best she can for HOH. She’s in a tough position this week.”
Chuk: “This week four HOH is probably the hardest. It’s just going to get harder. Whoever’s next week, I’m so sorry for them. I think Haley’s the start of it getting hard. Because these people are now your family and friends.”
Chuk: “And trust me, she did not want to have to put up a renom. She really did not.”
Chuk: “If I had won, none of this would have happened. This ceremony would have never happened. I would have said, no one’s using it. I would have played like this: no one’s using this veto.”
Lyric: “Thanks, Chuk. I feel really good, okay?”
Why she’s actually crying:
Lyric: “It’s not the fact that I’m sitting on this block that I’m sad. It’s just, like, truly, when you’re at your lowest moments, all you wish you could do is talk to, like, your family. And I just wish I could talk to my family.”
Lyric: “And I feel really bad too, because by, like, telling you what Mallory is telling me, I’m going against her. And she is someone who I think is looking out for me in this game. So obviously that makes me feel like a shit person. And that’s so out of character for me.”
Chuk: “I needed that to build trust with you. That was a trust-building moment, and we needed that to build trust with each other.”
Lyric: “And I hope America and Mallory watch it back and think, like, she was advocating for herself, you know? I hope she doesn’t think it’s malicious in any way, because that’s not who I am.”
Chuk: “No, it’s a game.”
Chuk: “Remember, everyone’s friends after this.”
Lyric: “I don’t know if Rome and Jason are going to be friends with people in here.”
Chuk: “Those two are special.”
Chuk: “My goodbye message to Rome was very interesting. I was being funny, and at the time I was like, let’s go.”
Chuk: “Like, Rome handled it pretty good. He was like, fair game, you guys got me. Not taking things personal, which is good.”
Chuk: “That’s how people in this game are going to see things and forgive each other. Like, okay, you were a strong player. You made a strong player move to get this person out. It’s fair.”
Chuk: “But you’ll be okay.”
Lyric: “Thanks, Chuk. Okay?”
Chuk: “It’s food time. Give me a hug before I go.”
Lyric: “Yeah, of course. Thanks for making me feel better.”
Chuk: “Yes — feel better?”
Lyric: “Yeah, I do. Thank God. Thanks.”

3:16 pm — Mallory and Taylor, pod room.
Lyric and Melody drift in and out over the next hour.
Mallory is clearing up a story that went around about her.
Mallory: “Yeah, like, I have a hit list. There’s plenty of people that are on it.”
Taylor: “No, I didn’t believe it. I want you to know that.”
Mallory: “Yeah, I wanted to clarify anyway, because I know you heard your name.”
Taylor: “How do you feel about that — about Lyric going up there and basically just selling out all of us?”
Mallory: “Like, I don’t know how true it is. What Lyric said to me is, like — let’s say Chuk would ask her, would Mallory ever put me up? Lyric would be like, I mean, you know, she said that, but I don’t know.”
Mallory: “So it’s not, like, malicious. It’s just silly.”

Lyric joins. Taylor gets on her soapbox.
Taylor: “This is not the time to play like that. This is the time where you stick with your people, not give them up. You know, when it gets slim pickings — when it’s literally us three left. But you don’t play like that early in the game. Because when you play like that early in the game, you lose your credibility.”
Taylor: “That’s kind of like how I felt last week. I was like, if I vote against Lala this week, nobody would ever trust me. Because that’s my girl.”
Lyric: “Yeah, but then also, like, it’s wild, because you’re left in the dark. Like, last week, I had no idea Mallory was going home for sure if she didn’t win the Blockbuster. Like, people were lying to me. People were saying they were going to vote to keep me.”
Taylor: “I got to the point where I was like, I don’t believe nobody. But whatever happens, happens. I just know where my vote is going. I really had to, literally — because my mental health was starting to get really bad.”
Taylor: “All I can do right now is be honest and stick to what I’m saying. That’s it.”

Melody arrives. The block compares notes.
Taylor: “Anybody who’s on the block, you feel like you’re the target. Because people tell you you’re not the target. But somebody’s the target. Somebody’s f—ing lying, because there ain’t no way we’re all on the block and all of us was told we’re not the target.”
Melody: “Like, somebody’s going home. So who the f— is lying?”
Taylor: “One of y’all said it — this is the thing with being put on the block. You’re basically saying you’re okay with me going home. And that’s what hurts your feelings the most.”
Lyric: “And instead of getting mad, you have to walk around this house and act like it doesn’t bother you.”
Lyric: “This is my third time. And I have to go up and freaking fight for myself again. Like, really? I just feel so powerless. Like, genuinely, if I’m lucky enough to make it to next week, I can’t wait for the moment that I get to look in all of your eyes and say, you guys are safe. Because I haven’t felt that way with a single person in this house yet.”
Lyric: “If I leave, just know that you can’t trust a lot of people in this house. You guys have to stick together. As many times as you guys get put up — do not give them what they want. Stick together.”
Taylor: “You’re not going home.”
Lyric: “I pray to God. I pray you don’t go home, too.”
Lyric: “It’s a nasty game. So nasty and so rude. People don’t give a f— about you until they’re in jeopardy and they need your help.”
Production calls Lyric to the Diary Room.
Lyric: “How many times do I have to go to the diary room today? They gotta catch some tears. They’re like, hold up, hold up — she’s crying. I love you guys.”
Lyric leaves. Taylor keeps going.
Taylor: “I just think the thing that hurts me the most is, like — Haley said herself, you’re the only one who came up here and didn’t talk shit about somebody. And then you learn that people was talking shit about you. I try to keep up integrity in everything that I do, and it still seems like it doesn’t matter.”
Taylor: “Even I told Haley, I said, everything I said about you, that’s justifiable. I said, if anybody needs to gain trust, you probably need to gain trust with me. And she was like, you’re right. I am the one who has been trying you.”
Taylor: “So when I say Haley’s hurt my feelings, I don’t like the way Haley has made me feel — that’s not talking about her. That’s telling the truth.”

3:37 pm — Mallory and Melody Pod Room
Mallory walks Melody through the Lyric leak.
Mallory: “It would be, like, Chuk would ask Lyric, is Mallory gonna put me up? And Lyric would say, well, she’s said that in the past, but I don’t know.”
Melody: “It’s like, bro, why would you say that?”
Mallory: “I don’t know. It’s got me in a pickle.”
Melody: “Because it’s like, Lyric — you’ve never said a single person’s name. So what the f— are you doing?”
Mallory: “But that’s what she just told me. I’m assuming Haley told her.”
Mallory: “She told me that she wouldn’t put up Chuk or Kamu. But that’s the only people she promised safety to.”
Melody: “Are you f—ing dead ass? And Kamu put you on the f—ing block.”
Mallory: “Yeah.”
Melody: “So, okay — but you still, like, trust her.”
Mallory nods.
Melody: “Yeah, that just makes me nervous.”
Mallory: “I think we can get the votes for you to stay.”
Melody: “This f—ing sucks.”
Mallory recaps her vote talk with Drew.
Mallory: “Drew was talking to me about, like, voting too. He was like, I’m assuming you would vote to keep Melody and me up there. And I was like, yeah. And I was like, I honestly don’t think you have the numbers — but, like, if you did, I’d vote to keep you.”
Mallory: “I would assume, since Lyric was the renom, that they don’t want her to go home. Like, Haley didn’t want to make a fourth nomination. And then he was saying, I feel like, from that side, I’d have, like, Devens, Dee, and Angela. And I was like, I wouldn’t rely on that, because they lied to me.”
Melody: “I don’t want Drew to go either.”
Melody heads out. Taylor comes back, and she has questions.
Taylor: “Why would she tell Lyric that Lyric did this, that, and the third — and that’s why I’m putting you up — if Lyric didn’t really do it? Why would Haley say that to her if she didn’t actually do it? Because she didn’t deny it.”
Mallory: “I think it was just me, and I don’t think she did it on purpose. Like, I think people were just asking her who I’m gonna go after, and she would just be like, well, you know, she said this, but who knows? I think she just talked too much about what stuff I said.”
Taylor: “Probably just talking too much to the wrong person.”
Mallory: “But, like, the only person I think that got screwed by it was me. If she stays, I’m gonna have to tell her, like — you can’t tell anybody.”
Mallory: “She’s upset. She feels bad about it. She’s remorseful.”

Taylor floats her other suspect.
Taylor: “I really think Drew is the one making everything—”
Mallory: “I just think he is smarter than that, to be like, Mallory said she would do this. I feel like they were told it by accident.”
Taylor: “Out of all of us, he’s the one I talk to the least amount. So of course I’m like, maybe it’s him. But I trust that you guys feel confident in him, so because of that, I’ll feel confident in him as well.”
Taylor coaches Mallory on the vote.
Taylor: “I’m guessing whoever’s sitting next to Drew, they’ll have your vote to stay. Like, if Melody’s sitting next to Drew, you keep Melody. The only thing you have to think about is if the two girls are sitting next to each other. What would you do?”
Mallory: “I don’t know. I’m just gonna, like, vote with everybody on that. It makes me too sad to decide.”
Taylor: “Because it ain’t no saving it. It’s two of your close friends. So at that point, you might as well just go with the house, because it doesn’t matter regardless. You’re going to be heartbroken.”
Taylor: “If I were you, I would just pray that one of the girls wins, and that way you don’t have to worry about it. And if you do — I guess I’ll chat around a little bit and let you know where the house is going, so you’re not blindsided. Maybe Thursday morning or something.”
Taylor: “Unless you want to give a sympathy vote. And that says a lot about you as a person as well. Nobody’s going to care, because you can’t control it. But I gave my girl a sympathy vote — all you can do is respect it.”
Mallory: “Yeah, this is a cool HOH. It’s very cool.”
Mallory: “We need to win next week.”
Taylor: “We say that every freaking week now.”

On the powers:
Taylor: “One of us needs to get the power. The only thing is, you don’t know what the powers are. It could be something that ain’t worth nothing. It could be something that’s worth a lot.”
Taylor: “For my own sanity, I’m, like, assuming Dee and Devens have it. Maybe Dee — because I’m going based off who already has a fan base.”
Mallory: “If any of those three have them — like, are you f—ing kidding me? Just so I don’t go on a rampage, I’m just pretending they don’t.”
Taylor: “And if you get one, don’t tell nobody. Don’t tell a soul.”
Mallory: “Yeah, I won’t.”
Taylor: “And then I’d be watching, and I’m like, damn. America not f—ing with me. I’m like, you’re not f—ing with me. I’m not entertaining enough.”
Mallory: “I’ve just been complaining a lot, and in duress.”
Taylor: “Well, because we’re stressed.”
They talk out the wall comp — being small is the advantage, and the other side is heavier.
Taylor: “We’re hungrier for it, though. That hunger adds a different level to it.”
The last thing before the feeds cut away:
Mallory: “They don’t know how bad the block is.”
Taylor: “They don’t. And it takes a toll on you.”
Mallory: “And that’s why they’re so strong together. We haven’t been able to, like, really form anything.”
Taylor: “Because we’re too busy trying to—”
The feeds cut.
4:30 pm – 6 pm – Pacing, Bible reading or sleeping.
Haley manipulates her reason for nominating Lyric after telling her she wouldn’t nominate her. Now claims that didn’t apply to “re-noms.” What a load of bs. Haley seems to be a bit of a control freak type. My hunch Lyric was to having to much of an positive impression on Kamu who Haley wants to control as a person to protect and get her to the end.
I agree.
FYI, Recap to date:
Group 1 to enter the House:(In#-Gone#):
Ashley (3rd-1st), Rome (4th-2nd), Jason (1st-3rd), Kamu (In 5th) and Taylor (In 2nd).
Taylor broke the cycle.
Be clear.
Devens change of heart on Mallory is because he believes she got the power this week.
He wants to make sure he is painted as liking the people the viewers like.
Most inauthentic thing he’s done.
The stuntcasts are nopes. I’ll call them on every turd they try to float as authenticity until everything flushes down the pipes.
Devens 100% is concerned that she may have a power. I do believe that he genuinely likes her. If only they had teamed up early on.
As far as I’m concerned they can take the stuntcasts and toss them onto a deserted island that doesn’t have tv cameras and call it a day. Angela included.
1-Hundo
Amen! Preach.
devens knows he has to flip on dee eventually. what allies can he do that with? it’s basically just drew and barrett and he needs more than that.
Devens is not planning or plotting a Dee overthrow.
Dee however, has chosen the exact day she turns.
Devens couldn’t strategize his way out of revolving door.
Well put. Again.
Again, thanks for hitting another nail on the head.
On last night’s episode, Dee received the power. She won $5000 to bribe anyone. And she said she’s not telling Devens.
Yup. Very weak on her part. She is as cutthroat and intelligent as they come when it comes to these games. Devens is likely going to get got by her. I still love watching her navigate through the chaos.
Hotty Harmonies otb again, nothing new, they will Survive!! Bye Drew!!
Not if Drew wins Blockbuster.
Simon & Dawg: You need to update the Time Capsule Update for Week 4 since we saw Dee win a power.
Thank you very much I totally got caught up copy pasting from the previous post.
I don’t remember, can someone remind me…
In the Adam & Eve Tether, who gets to pick the 2nd person of the pair? The HG who was in the TC comp OR does production?
the punished player picks their partner iirc. so you can basically use it to socially isolate someone and hurt them far more than you.
Thanks. Can you pick the HoH?
Week One.
Stuntcasts have a 1 in 3 chance at HOH. They are repeatedly called Icons. they don’t have to fight for safety.
Week Two
The stuntcast gets a 1 in 8 shot at HOH instead of a 1 in 16 shot. shockingly the woman that has had the highest shot on the previous shots…. flubs it. sideye.
The other stuntcast gets proof of poularity by getting a punishment that gets her tvq points with the audience and house sympathy.
Week Three
stuntcast wins popularity contest good for 6 weeks.
Week Four
Stuntcast wins popularity contest good for the whole game. meaing at final 2 she can bribe a juror to vote for her.
And you wanna know why I say nope.
Again, amen.
Horrible season- I am DONE with big brother. I’ve been watching since season one and it just gets worse each year. I’ve been reading your posts all these years and you’ve done a good job, but I can’t take anymore of the shitty show
yeah, this is the most boring season in ages. i’ve been frustrated watching in the past because one side was steamrolling, but usually i knew they’d combust because they were arrogant morons. this year there are a fair amount of dumb players in the dominant alliance but most of them are competent and it makes for a dull season.
My OBB name says it all.
But, I understand your feelings and I appreciate your thoughtful post. Your contribution will be missed.
On a bit of a Devens rant day.
Don’t hush my flow on this. I’m going to do it anyway cus screw him.
Four weeks.
in four weeks Devens is so invested in the social game aspect that he doesn’t know half the houseguests names (La Trice is LuLu to him, and Lyric is Larkin to him).
Hell this asshat doesn’t even know his own alliances name (threehouse for the 12th time).
He comes in, pumps out ‘i was on survivor’ stories and gets all the braindeads to agree to a zombie lemming walk off the cliff because stuafuqers gonna starfuq.
Sleeps when he wants during the 10-10 hours in the contract. No call outs.
Gets leg up over leg up from production because somebody in corporate decided nobody will watch unknowns fight for the money… where is your big name? You damn well KNOW that is why we keep having Stuntcast seasons. Corporate and Production have become so lazy and jaded that they can’t come up with actual story lines and seasons that aren’t just watered down regurgitations of their last seasons while tossing more and more supposedly ‘big names’ at the viewers hoping nobody will notice they just aren’t trying anymore. I’m completely surprised they still have writers and storyline editors and it hasn’t all just been Grod asking an AI ap how to do her job.
Admittedly haven’t watched a full survivor series in years. got notes. watched a clip montage recently and gotta say… people like this asshat? really?
Strategically as a BIG BROTHER houseguest he is sub 50%.
In terms of my desire to see him on screen? nah. Like maybe 10%. In terms of his d/r as voice of the season… get laryngitis douchecanoe.
I don’t see the hype. So he’s some asshat that Probst and co flung a bunch of idols at to play chaos gremlin for giggles on Survivor. Never cared. Might as well just call all of his Big Brother plots produced by acme only Grod makes sure he catches the road runner. Eyeroll.
In terms of BIG BROTHER players…He’s less likeable to me, and almost as BB fluent as Cliff from season 21.
And yeah, I said that shit.
Who came up with the initial game strategy? Dee. Who came up with his HOH? Angela of all fricken people. And his contribution? i’ll wait.
Once and only once with feeling: There is ZERO difference between a Survivor Blindside and a blindside. Quit trying to choke on your own cred egomaniac. Just another celbutard neverwas trying to pretend the clock isn’t ticking on his fifteen minutes.
devens is not playing a very good game and has just lucked into riding dee’s coattails. she’ll likely cut him at jury when his best use for her is a jury vote.
lucked? Here is my take. The two recently went on a trip together. It was said on feeds. in my notes a friend sent me it said some man/woman name rizzo leaked that the two were thick as thieves during their post vote out before the finale (sorry i don’t remember the survivor lingo for that).
We gotta be aware enough to know when one was approached they suggested the other to be on as well.
There is no coincidence in casting. And yeah, this means the ones that get neg press during a season for a word or view or stance…. production knew beforehand they’d get press about it.
You’re right. CBS even had a promotion video with the two of them. They acted like they had no clue about each other being there once in the game. Obviously BS.
So, production casts them BECAUSE of their controversial opinions?
Are you saying he’s fits the definition of a FLOATER?!?!
Nah, say it isn’t so! (sarcasm ended).
B/C Angela is a BB vet, D&D naturally are using her for her BB knowledge (even though she has gotten somethings wrong and or lied in some cases) as well as a # for them. They had to do that b/c their BB knowledge is very low…
I think they need to do a season of ALL SUPERFANS! In addition to the other tests they have to take (IQ, medical, etc), all applicants would have take a BB Knowledge test of say 50 questions and who ever gets a grade lower than a B would be OUT. I know they ask them some about their BB knowledge but I mean an actual test. AND THEN once the season starts, definitely add some new twists/rules!
AND ANOTHER THING…ANY APPLICANT THAT USES THE WORD ‘LIKE’ INCORRECTLY/EXCESSIVLEY WOULD BE OUT!
He’s the definition of an asshole. Not a floater. There is absolutely nothiing about him i find endearing or entertaining. THAT is the biggest sin. He’s not, in and of himself, good tv. He has always needed a production prop or tool or power. On his own?
He’s a wet fart.
Ouch. Again.
I like your suggestions.
Sounds like the making of a Big Brother makeover.
Have to get rid of Grod first.
Otherwise it’s never gonna happen.
And don’t think for even a second I don’t have a HUUUUGE rant running around in my head about Dee. It just so happens today is the designated Devens is an ass day.
And ONE MORE DEVNS RANT.
the REAL reason DEVENS HATES LA TRICE:
She called him out for not lifting a finger to clean up.
She had the nerve to call out mr. I was on survivor i’m a star…
and his fragile ego couldn’t take it.
He’s totally fed into his own “celebrity” such as it is.
Not worth much to me.
Wow!
Now you’re starting to make me regret ever liking the guy.
Still, he did singlehandedly(with the Beast’s $ of course)add $1,000,000.00 to the Survivor 50 prize money, doubling the pot from one million to two million with a single flip of a coin.
So, there’s that.
Can’t wait for your Dee rant day.
Ouch!
I actually like Rick.
Nevertheless, I am unable to refute any of your negative points about him.
