Big Brother 28 Just Dropped More Clues.. Twists will Shake up the Game from the Start!

CBS may have shown us the Big Brother 28 house this morning, but hidden in the official details were a few new clues that could tell us a lot more about where this season is headed.

If you were expecting the “Time Trip” theme to simply be a bunch of clocks on the walls and some retro decorations, think again.

According to CBS, the theme isn’t just decorating the house—it’s designed to shake up the game from the very beginning.

Don’t Expect A Normal Week One

One line in the official announcement immediately jumped out at us.

CBS says early twists will shake up the game from the start, with new powers and challenges capable of disrupting strategy and alliances before Houseguests have a chance to settle in.

That wording feels intentional.

Normally, the first week is all about finding your people, making quick deals, and hoping you don’t become the easy first boot. If production is throwing powers into the mix immediately, those carefully built alliances could be blown apart before they even have a chance to form.

In other words… don’t get too attached to anyone after Night One.

History Isn’t Just Decorating The Walls

CBS also says Houseguests will be transported through different moments in time during competitions—not just while walking through the house. The release specifically mentions inspiration from the ’80s, the Y2K era, prehistoric times, and even memorable moments from Big Brother history.

That last part is the interesting one.

Notice what CBS didn’t say.

They never mention returning players.

They never promise old competitions.

They never tease past winners.

Instead, they keep repeating one phrase: “history is rewritten.”

That’s a pretty bold choice of words.

One Hidden Detail Could Be Hinting At What’s Coming

There’s one small detail in the official house photos that fans are already dissecting.

Inside the futuristic Prototype Showroom sits a glowing lightbox listing eight different eras: Ancient Egypt, Medieval Times, Wild West, Jurassic Era, Summer of Love, the 1980s, Y2K, and the 23rd Century.

Is it just another clever piece of décor? Maybe. But Big Brother fans know production loves hiding clues in plain sight.

If the display is more than decoration, it could be teasing the themes for upcoming competitions—or even entire weeks of the game. Imagine a Wild West veto, an ’80s Head of Household competition, or a Jurassic-themed punishment. It’s pure speculation for now, but it’s exactly the kind of Easter egg that gets fans pausing every frame of the house tour looking for clues.

The Time Laser Is Back… Sort Of

Longtime fans spotted another familiar face.

The infamous Time Laser has returned—but before everyone starts preparing for another multiverse meltdown, it appears to be part of the house décor inside the Relic Lab rather than confirmation that the exact Season 23 twist is coming back.

Still, Big Brother producers rarely bring back something this recognizable without knowing fans will immediately start connecting the dots.

Coincidence?

Probably not.

So What Does It All Mean?

Right now, we have more questions than answers.

Could powers let someone reverse a nomination?

Replay a competition?

Change the outcome of a previous move?

Or is CBS simply having fun with the marketing while the actual twist is something completely different?

At this point, nobody outside production knows.

But one thing is becoming clear: CBS isn’t treating “Time Trip” as just this year’s decorating theme. They keep describing time itself as the twist, and that’s a very different message than simply giving the house a fresh coat of paint.

With the cast reveal still looming and premiere night just days away, the biggest mystery isn’t what the house looks like anymore.

It’s what happens when production decides to start rewriting history.

History is rewritten makes me think that former runners up will get a spotlight. Of course some runners up already played the game (both Danielle Reyes and Donato, Alison, Memphis, Paul, Tyler, and Cody they can still use many other notable ones or repeat some of those since I know many would like to see Danielle Reyes play again.

Only Cody has won after getting the silver medal too so seeing people like Monte, Vince, Matt, and Makensy play again for the first time since they got second place would be cool. I think they all would be down it is the older final 2 players like Nicole Schaffrich and Erika Landin who would be hard to get most likely. They are both in their later 50s but we need more people of that age to be represented. Ivette and Natalie would work too. Same for Lane, Porsche, and Liz.

I really don’t want GinaMarie back…but I guess if they had to then whatever.

And I would be shocked if Tyler, Paul, and or at least one former winner who also got second place in Cody or Dan didn’t get on if the pool of people was that small. I’d be expecting half the cast was returning F2 players and the other half is newbies. So obviously half men and half women.

So this is who I would think would work in a semi-realistic scenario that tries to cover a lot of demographics.

Danielle Reyes
Makensy Manbeck
Ivette Corredero
Liz Nolan
Dan Gheesling
Monte Taylor
Matt Klotz
Josh Souza (the original runner up lol)

I really think that could work and if so I am a miracle worker. Hopefully the newbies wouldn’t be completely useless like the Season 13 newbies who had the 8-6 advantage and blew it. Maybe swap out Liz for Porsche now that I think about it. Her being on both sides of this (as a newbie with a ton of former players and now as a returning player with half new players) would be interesting.

Season 13 was really an 8 vs 5 advantage they blew because of dick getting sick and possibly 9 vs 4 with dani flipping. However that disparity really put Brendon and Jeff in a serious hole slash major disadvantage out of their control that hardly ever gets talked about. With being the strongest in that house it put those two guys in a serious handicap that there was no way they could overcome. Especially after Danielle’s betrayal.
