More than two decades have passed since the first Big Brother houseguests walked into the house. That is enough time for the people we watched scheme, fight, win HOH and get evicted to build entire second and third lives after Big Brother.
And some of those lives went in directions nobody watching the feeds could have predicted. A BB1 houseguest built a cosmetics company that sold for $1.2 billion. Another became a California judge. One of the loudest players of the early seasons now reads the weather on the evening news. BB3 produced a television anchor and a major fashion author. Dan became a full-time gaming creator. Jessie went into professional wrestling.
Then there is the other half of the story: a lot of the original houseguests simply went home. They got jobs, raised families and stopped living publicly — and twenty years on, that is still most of them.

Big Brother 1: Where are they now?
The first Big Brother cast entered the house in 2000, before the US show even had the HOH, veto and jury structure we know today. Twenty-six years later, BB1 may have produced the strangest collection of post-show careers of any early season.
Jamie built a $1.2 billion cosmetics company
Jamie has probably the biggest post-Big Brother business story in the history of the show. She and her husband co-founded IT Cosmetics, building the makeup company from the ground up before selling it to L’Oréal for $1.2 billion in 2016.
She later stepped away from day-to-day management and built another public career as an author, speaker, investor and podcast host. More than 25 years on, her few weeks on a strange new reality show are a footnote to a much larger business career.
Curtis became a judge
Curtis finished third on BB1. His post-show career took him about as far away from reality television as it is possible to get.
He became a prosecutor, then a judge on the Superior Court of California in Los Angeles County, where he hears unlimited-jurisdiction civil cases. He has also taught law for years as an adjunct professor. If you watched BB1 in 2000 and tried to pick which houseguest would one day be running a Los Angeles courtroom, Curtis was probably not the first name you reached for.
Eddie stayed in entertainment
Eddie, the first winner of Big Brother US and still one of the more unlikely names on the list of past winners, went into acting. His credits continued for years after the show and include film and television work well into the 2020s.
Brittany went behind the camera
Brittany also stayed in the entertainment business, but mostly behind the scenes. She built a career in film and television location work, with production credits continuing into 2025 and 2026.
Cassandra built a career in international affairs
Cassandra largely left reality television behind and worked in international communications, including senior communications work within the United Nations system. She died in 2019.
George stayed recognizable to Big Brother fans and returned for BB7 All-Stars. No current public record: Josh, Will Mega, Jean and Karen.
Big Brother 2: Where are they now?
BB2 in 2001 was the season that turned the US version into the strategic game we still recognize. Its cast produced one of the most famous winners in the show’s history — and, twenty-four years later, one of its warmest reunions.
Will stayed in medicine
Will continued his career as a dermatologist and became a major figure in aesthetic medicine. He is also one of the rare early winners who never completely disappeared from the Big Brother conversation.
He returned for BB7 All-Stars, and even in the years he was nowhere near the house his name kept coming up whenever fans argued about the best players the show has produced.
Hardy and Bunky found each other again after 24 years
The friendship between Hardy and Bunky was one of the things BB2 is still remembered for, and in September 2025 the two of them met up again for the first time since the house — twenty-four years later — and filmed a long conversation about it.
Hardy has spent his post-show career in mortgage lending on the East Coast and is married with stepchildren. Bunky settled in California and has kept busy with comedy, art and volunteer work. Neither has chased a television career in the two decades since, which is exactly what makes a 2025 reunion between two men from the 2001 cast the nicest thing to happen to BB2 alumni in years.
Monica is talking about BB2 again
Monica came back into the public Big Brother conversation in 2026 for a long retrospective interview about BB2 and her life after it. She has not spoken publicly about her day-to-day work.
Kent’s life after the house
Kent worked in television journalism and business after his season. He died in 2017 at 62.
Mike Boogie came back to win BB7 All-Stars years after BB2. His later public record became dominated by legal problems, including a felony stalking conviction in 2021.
Last known, 2023. Nicole had trained as a chef and worked as a writer and producer; Sheryl was working as a realtor in Jacksonville, Florida.
No current public record: Krista, Autumn, Shannon and Justin.
Big Brother 3: Where are they now?
BB3 produced several houseguests whose post-show careers are still easy to trace more than two decades later.
Jason became a television news anchor
Jason turned his broadcasting background into a long career in television journalism. He is still a news anchor in Central Florida and was on air throughout 2026.
Danielle came back to reality competition
Danielle never completely left the competition-TV world behind. More than 20 years after BB3 — and after returning for BB7 All-Stars — she competed again on The Traitors in 2025.
That makes her one of the earliest Big Brother players still actively competing on major reality television decades after her original season.
Marcellas built a career in fashion and publishing
Marcellas became a fashion and entertainment journalist, stylist and author. His work eventually included the Supreme Models project about influential Black models, followed by further books and media projects.
Lisa became a photographer
Lisa, who beat Danielle in the BB3 final, did some post-show acting work and later established a career as a photographer in Los Angeles.
Amy became a landscape architect
Amy works as a landscape architect, runs a business with her husband, and designs jewellery and fibre goods on the side. She talked through the whole arc of it in her own words in a March 2025 profile.
Last known, 2023. Roddy was running an independent film production company in Los Angeles; Gerry had retired from teaching in a Glendale school district; Chiara was working in marketing in New York; Tonya was in retail sales in Las Vegas; and Eric was still a firefighter in Milford, Connecticut — the same job he had when he walked into the house in 2002.

Big Brother 4: Where are they now?
BB4 is one of the harder early casts to update. Most of the Ex-Factor cast moved outside the reality-TV spotlight and stayed there — with one notable exception, who moved to the other side of it.
Jun built a life in Belgium
Jun, the BB4 winner, eventually moved to Belgium. Her post-show life has included restaurant work — the restaurant she once ran has since closed — and, more recently, professional work in content and brand strategy.
Erika ended up casting reality television
Erika went from being cast to doing the casting. She works in reality-TV casting and development, with credits on a long-running Bravo franchise, and is a principal at her own production company.
There is a nice symmetry to it. Erika sat through the process in 2003, came back for BB7 All-Stars and reached the final two, and now spends her working life deciding which strangers get to be on television. Alison also returned for All-Stars, and went on to compete on The Amazing Race.
Last known, 2023. Jack had retired from the FBI and written a book about it; Nathan had co-founded a film production company on the Gulf Coast; Michelle was a district sales manager for a medical device firm; Jee was working in customer success at a genetics company; Justin was leading technical recruiting at a crypto firm.
No current public record: Robert, Dana, David, Amanda and Scott.
Big Brother 5: Where are they now?
BB5 introduced the Twin Twist, Project DNA and the single most influential strategic move anyone has ever invented in this house. Its alumni are much harder to track now than they were in the first decade after the season.
Nakomis invented the backdoor
Nakomis has no current public record, and she has something almost nobody else on this page has: a move that outlived her season by twenty-two years and counting.
The Six Finger Plan was hers. Put up two people nobody wants gone, let the veto get used, and then sit the real target next to a nominee with no chance to save themselves — because the target never got to play for the veto in the first place. It got Jase out of the house, and it is now simply how the game is played. Every season since has run some version of it, and most of the houseguests doing it have no idea whose idea it was.
The backdoor is not a twist and it was never a production invention. One player worked it out in 2004.
Drew went into law
Drew, the BB5 winner, did some acting work after the show before moving into law. More recent reporting places his career in probate law.
Diane is talking about BB5 again
Diane gave a major retrospective interview in August 2026 covering BB5, her later All-Stars appearance and how that season’s strategy actually came together.
It is worth listening to. Big Brother history has a habit of blurring who did what once enough years have gone by, and BB5 is the season that handed the show its most-copied move.
Last known, 2023. Marvin was part-owner of a beach house in Myrtle Beach and presenting Big Brother recaps; Jase was serving as a volunteer firefighter in Decatur, Illinois; and Karen was working as a sports artist, with pieces in a baseball museum and in Jon Bon Jovi’s house.
No current public record: Nakomis, Cowboy, Will, Adria, Natalie, Holly, Scott, Lori and Mike.
Big Brother 6: Where are they now?
BB6 may be the first early season whose cast still feels connected to modern Big Brother. Several of its players returned for All-Stars, the Sovereign Six / Friendship split is still relitigated every summer, and one of them turns up on television five nights a week.
Howie is a chief meteorologist
Of all the second acts here, Howie’s is the one that would have sounded least likely in 2005. The loudest man in the BB6 house is now a chief meteorologist, forecasting the weather for a Northern California station, where he has held the job since January 2024.
It was not a stunt hire either. He worked his way there through stations in Texas and Alaska, and his station biography still mentions Big Brother 6 — which suggests the audience knows exactly who is reading them the forecast.
He has not let go of the show, either. In September 2026 he was in the studio audience for Big Brother’s 1,000th episode, and then went back to his own station and talked about it on air.
Janelle built a real-estate career
Janelle is one of the most visible early Big Brother alumni. Away from reality television she built a long-running career in Minnesota real estate and is still an active agent.
Her Big Brother life kept going too: BB6, BB7, BB14 and BB22 gave her appearances spanning 15 years, and she still turns up around the franchise.
Kaysar moved through technology and branding
Kaysar has had a long professional career outside television. He was widely described as a biotech executive around his BB22 return; his work since has moved toward branding and creative technology.
Ivette runs an events business in Miami
Ivette owns a full-service event planning company in Miami and works in real estate alongside it. She also came back into the Big Brother conversation with a long-form interview about her season and what happened afterwards.
Maggie chose privacy
Maggie is the opposite kind of Big Brother winner. Where other players turned reality TV into a permanent public career, she stepped away from it. Recent reporting still describes her as living privately and staying off public social media.
April and Jennifer have both resurfaced for BB6 retrospective interviews and appearances.
Last known, 2023. James was directing event marketing for a Las Vegas hospitality group, a job he had held since 2015; Beau was working as a creative sales consultant.
No current public record: Rachel, Sarah, Eric, Michael and Ashlea.
Big Brother 7: Where are the All-Stars now?
BB7 is the easy one: there was no new alumni class. Every member of the All-Stars cast had already played in BB1 through BB6, so their updates are with their original seasons above.

Big Brother 8: Where are they now?
BB8 gave the show a father and daughter who fought each other to the final two, and the only houseguest ever to play an entire season taking orders from the audience. It also turns out to be the easiest early cast to actually find — not through television, but through the ordinary working world.
Dick never really stopped talking Big Brother
Dick turned his post-show profile into Big Brother commentary and has kept producing his own discussion show around the series.
Daniele went back into the house twice, first in BB13 and again for BB22, which keeps her far more visible to later generations of fans than most of the BB8 cast. She married Dominic from BB13 in 2013 and they have two daughters.
Eric finally got to talk about America’s Player
Eric resurfaced for a substantial retrospective interview in 2025 about BB8 and the America’s Player twist that controlled so much of his original game. Carol also gave a BB8 retrospective interview the same year.
The rest of BB8 went and got jobs
Four more of this cast turn up in the most ordinary way there is — on the staff pages of the places they work.
Jameka works as a professional school counsellor for a Maryland public school district. Jessica is a physician assistant at a Kansas hospital, living near Wichita; her husband died in December 2025. Zach works in product design and now runs his own design studio. Dustin is development and communications director at a Minneapolis nonprofit.
And no, Joe did not die
A claim that Joe died has been circulating among fans for years, and it is wrong. It comes from a name collision: the man who died in September 2022 was a dance instructor from Missouri, born in 1948. BB8 Joe was born in 1983 and is from Chicago. Two different people, one shared name.
Once a mistaken death claim starts getting copied from one page to the next it is almost impossible to kill, so, plainly: Joe is fine.

Big Brother 9: Where are they now?
BB9 is the hardest early cast to trace. It is the only winter season the US show has ever run, it opened with a couples format nobody had asked for, and most of its cast left television behind for good.
Adam now works in addiction recovery
Adam had one of the most dramatic post-Big Brother lives of any winner. His years after BB9 included a criminal conviction and a federal prison sentence.
His public work today is a long way from that. He now presents himself professionally as an addiction-recovery consultant, mentor, speaker and interventionist, drawing on his own recovery and what happened to him after the show.
What happened to Neil?
Neil left the BB9 house within days. The official explanation was personal reasons, and nothing more has ever been confirmed. Fans have been speculating for eighteen years and none of it has been established. No current public record.
Amanda was not medically removed
Amanda had a frightening medical incident inside the BB9 house, but she recovered and went back into the game. She was evicted later, with Alex, through the season’s couples format.
That distinction gets lost in retrospective summaries, which tend to make it sound as though the medical incident ended her season. It did not.
Last known, 2023. Joshuah was an assistant manager at a Dallas property firm; Natalie was raising three children and selling her artwork online; Ryan was working in banking in Nashville.
No current public record: Sheila, Chelsia, Sharon, James, Matt, Allison, Alex, Parker, Jen and Jacob.
Big Brother 10: Where are they now?
BB10 is much easier. Several members of this cast still have very public careers, and a surprising number are still connected to Big Brother.
Dan became a full-time creator
Dan went from Catholic-school teacher to Big Brother winner, came back to finish second on BB14, and turned gaming and online content into his full-time career.
He has spent years streaming games and making video and podcast content. Rather than spend the rest of his career doing Big Brother appearances, he built an audience that mostly exists outside Big Brother — which has not stopped him coming back into the BB world whenever it suits him.
Memphis built a hospitality business
Memphis stayed close to the restaurant and nightlife world he worked in before BB10. He later founded a hospitality group involved in restaurant, bar and venue development.
OBB was following that career years ago, including an early post-Big Brother update on Memphis and his business projects.
Jerry is 93 and still doing well
Jerry entered BB10 at 75 and is still one of the oldest people ever to play the game.
Dan gave an update in August 2026 saying Jerry is now 93, active and doing well — having previously reported that Jerry had only recently retired. Nearly two decades after BB10, the fact that Dan is still the one giving updates on Jerry may be the nicest piece of continuity the early Big Brother era has produced.
Jessie turned his persona into a wrestling career
Jessie took the “Mr. PEC-Tacular” character straight into professional wrestling and has spent years performing in the industry.
His Big Brother career did not end with BB10 either. He came back as a player on BB11 and became one of production’s favourite alumni to bring back for cameos, competitions and jokes.
Libra teaches in Texas
Libra works in a Texas school district north of Houston, where district staff pages list her at one of the high schools. Michelle gave a long-form retrospective interview in July 2026 about her BB10 experience.
Renny went back to the salon, then into real estate
Renny was 53 when she played BB10 and spent years as a hair salon owner in the New Orleans area. She now works as a realtor for a major brokerage and still lives outside the city.

Why are so many early Big Brother houseguests hard to find?
There is a simple reason this list looks different from a modern reality-TV cast.
BB1 aired in 2000. Facebook did not exist. YouTube did not exist. Twitter did not exist. Instagram and TikTok were years away. There was no automatic career path where a houseguest walked out of the finale and started selling products to hundreds of thousands of followers the same week.
A lot of early Big Brother players got their television experience, took whatever came with it, and then went back to being ordinary private citizens.
That makes them genuinely hard to find twenty years on. An occupation in a 2003 cast biography tells you what somebody did in 2003. A social account somebody thinks belongs to an old houseguest proves nothing about what that person does today. And a fan post with a recent photograph tells you almost nothing beyond the fact that somebody took a photograph.
So “no current public record” is the finding, not a gap in the list. Sometimes it is the most accurate thing anyone can say. And where a job is marked last known, 2023, that is the same discipline in a smaller way — it was true three years ago, and nobody should promise you it is true today.
Who had the most surprising life after Big Brother?
Jamie is almost impossible to beat on scale. Going from the very first season of an experimental reality show to building a company that sold for $1.2 billion is a ridiculous trajectory by any measure.
But Curtis may be the better answer if the question is what nobody would have predicted from watching the show. There are plenty of reality stars who became actors, hosts, influencers or business owners. There are considerably fewer who became Superior Court judges.
The one that makes us laugh, though, is Howie. Anyone who watched BB6 and then found him calmly explaining a cold front on the evening news has had the same reaction. Jason quietly building a decades-long career in local news is the sober version of the same story, Erika now casting the shows she used to be cast in has the best symmetry, and Dan may have made the smartest move of all of them: he used the audience Big Brother gave him, then built a career that does not need Big Brother to stay popular.
The first ten seasons are old enough to have real second lives now
That is what makes looking back at BB1 through BB10 different from checking in on a cast three years after their season. The BB1 houseguests have had more than a quarter of a century. Even BB10 is approaching twenty years.
Some stayed famous. Some came back to Big Brother. Some built careers that made their reality-TV appearance almost irrelevant. Some ran into serious trouble. Some are gone. Two of them found each other again after twenty-four years. And a lot of them did the most normal thing possible after being watched by millions of strangers: they went home and got on with it.
