Sunday morning, and the two sides of the house are having completely different conversations. On the block side it’s dread and guessing: Mallory tells Yash she doesn’t have America’s power and lands on the theory that it went to Devens or Dee — which, if true, means “we’re the villains and the losers.” Melody spends ten minutes alone at the bathroom mirror talking herself into a fight, high-fiving her own reflection and admitting the plan is to go out there and fake her goodness. Drew has her guess which two houseguests she can’t stand by rhyme, and “Buck and Bailey” gets it in one.

Upstairs, Haley and Chuk take the hammock and Haley finally builds the argument she couldn’t quite land in the meeting: Kamu preaches protect-the-HOH, then pushed her toward the option that puts more blood on her hands. “Why wouldn’t you try to protect me a little bit even more, if I’m supposed to be your ride or die here?” She tallies what she’s already spent for the group — blurring the alliance line in public, putting Drew up while keeping him comfortable — and decides she’s earned this one. Chuk’s read on the week is the sharpest thing in it: Rome and Jason were easy, everyone wanted them gone. This is the first HOH with real blood on it, and “everyone else truly believes that you’re not going home.”

Then Barrett walks out of that HOH meeting and straight to Mallory with all of it — that it’s between her and Lyric, that everyone said Lyric, that Haley wants to cut a deal. Including the part he wasn’t supposed to have noticed: “they didn’t tell me that the target was Drew. So they want me in the dark on that part.”

BB28 Time Capsule tally

The BB Time Capsule is a multi-week America’s Vote twist running Weeks 2 through 7. America votes one houseguest into the capsule each week, that person competes, and they either win a power or take a punishment. Each houseguest can only go in once.

  • Week 2 — Angela Murray: lost, and wore the Hard-Boiled Detective costume
  • Week 3 — Rick Devens: won the Diamond Power of Veto
  • Week 4 — unconfirmed: no result has surfaced on the feeds. (Drew is speculated)

Devens still holds the Diamond Power of Veto. The only person he has told is Dee

10:00 am – Mallory and Yash, storage room

Mallory is bracing to be the renom.

Mallory: “I’m so scared.”
Mallory: “I’m going to be the nom.”
Yash: “Yeah, I haven’t talked to her.”
Mallory: “I’m gonna—”
Yash: “I’m going to, too.”
Mallory: “I don’t think I can get the votes to stay if it’s me versus Melody.”
Yash: “Yeah, it might be tough.”
Yash: “Just because, like, if you’re the renom, that whole side is voting as one.”
Mallory: “We still have the majority, but Drew is going to vote to keep Melody.”

On the Time Capsule vote:

Yash: “Did you happen to win America’s vote?”
Mallory: “No.”
Yash: “For real?”
Mallory: “People think I have it.”
Yash: “Yeah, I mean, it makes sense why.”
Yash: “The last two days, I’ve been, like, hoping that it—”
Mallory: “For my sanity, I’m assuming it’s Devens and Dee.”
Mallory: “Like, that’s the only thing.”
Yash: “Because if anyone else got it over you, that’s shocking.”
Mallory: “That’s, like — that’s just so… Look, we’re f—ed if it’s any of them that have it.”
Mallory: “Because then we’re the villains and the losers.”
Yash: “Don’t say that.”
Yash: “Don’t say that.”
Yash: “Goddamn.”
Yash: “I was hoping you would have it.”
Mallory: “If I survive this week, maybe.”

10:08 am – Melody and Drew

Melody: “I think there’s something wrong with me.”
Drew: “Yeah, but I could have told you that when you walked in.”
Drew: “But what’s your discovery?”
Melody: “No, what the f— is yours?”
Drew: “I mean, Melody, come on now.”
Drew: “But why do you think something’s wrong with me?”
Melody: “I don’t know, dude. Like, why? Like, I just, I don’t know.”
Melody: “I just, like, don’t f—ing like anybody here.”
Drew: “There’s definitely a couple of people I’m not completely on board with.”
Drew: “But it should make it easier when you’re in HOH.”
Melody: “Yeah, that’s true.”
Melody: “I guess I should probably stop saying that. Like, it’s fine.”
Melody: “Everyone is likable to a degree, except for like two people.”
Melody: “I think I’m just, like, irritated as f—.”
Drew: “What do those people’s names rhyme with?”
Drew: “Guess.”
Drew: “Buck and Bailey?”
Melody: “That would be the one.”
Drew: “You’re funny.”

On the Time Capsule:

Drew: “Maybe Mallory has power.”
Melody: “She’s gonna be our savior.”
Melody: “I mean, that would be f—ing ideal, but let’s not get too hopeful.”
Drew: “Wait, that would never happen.”

Drew: “I mean, yes. Another good morning in the BB house.”
Melody: “At least the yard’s open.”
Drew: “Is it really?”
Melody: “Yeah.”
Drew: “What the hell are we doing here? The world awaits us. Sunshine.”

Drew floats a plan.

Drew: “Operation convince Taylor to use the veto on us. Right? That could totally play.”
Drew: “She would never. She would never not do that. She would love to give it to us, because she worked very hard for it — to save us.”

On the veto competition:

Melody: “I just feel like I’m their target, because Chuk came after me like three f—ing times.”
Drew: “Well, you have to think about the fact that I went for Taylor, and then he went for — who’d you go for first?”
Melody: “Chuk.”
Drew: “Well, they were just going for the nominees first, which is completely smart.”
Drew: “Why would they want the noms to change?”
Melody: “No, that’s true.”
Drew: “I don’t know if you’re the target or not. I don’t think so.”

Melody: “I’m going to have to be f—ing nice to her at least like twice.”
Drew: “Who?”
Melody: “F—ing Haley.”
Drew: “You don’t have to be nice to her at all.”
Melody: “Yeah… she’s the one telling Kamu and everyone what to do. Whatever the majority is.”
Drew: “True.”

Melody: “Maybe the sunshine will heal me.”

10:18 am — Melody, alone at the bathroom mirror

Melody gives herself a ten-minute pep talk.

Melody: “You can do this, girl. You can do this, girl. You can do this, girl.”
Melody: “Okay. Let’s hit some f—ing goals for the day. Today is Sunday. It’s a new month.”
Melody: “I’m gonna lie to myself all f—ing day. I’m gonna lie to myself all f—ing day.”
Melody: “I’m having a great time. Everything’s fine. Everything’s sunshine and rainbows.”
Melody: “I’m done complaining in my brain. No bad vibes.”

Someone asks who she’s talking to.

Melody: “Myself.”
Melody: “Because I’m f—ing like, I don’t even know. I’m crazy. And I need to, like, stop.”
Melody: “You came into this house crazy.”
Melody: “Yeah, but it’s just, like, making it worse.”
Melody: “That’s true.”
Melody: “Alright, I can do this.”

She high-fives the mirror.

Melody: “Sorry, I just got a hammer on the mirror, but I really needed to high five myself.”
Melody: “One last high five before I clean this other hand for now.”
Melody: “You can do this, girl!”
Melody: “I’m gonna high five myself. I literally do this at home.”
Melody: “Whatever works, bro. Whatever works.”

Melody: “F—ing seriously, like, stop. A little more bad energy.”
Melody: “I keep thinking bad things and only bad things are going to happen. That is not what I want to happen.”
Melody: “It’s all just a game anyway.”
Melody: “You’re not going crazy. You’re just stressed.”
Melody: “Think positive things. Positive things will happen. Duh. That’s like the first f—ing rule of life.”

The affirmations:

Melody: “I am beautiful. I am smart. I am caring. I am funny. I am strong-willed. I can do hard things.”
Melody: “I can go f—ing be fake nice to people. Come on. You can do this.”
Melody: “Do you want to look back, if you get f—ing eliminated, and be like, why did I just mope around? No. Do something about it.”
Melody: “At the end of the day, you literally have done a lot of things. Like, it’s fine. Figure it out. If you want to stay, work for it.”
Melody: “Nobody said it would be easy. I just needed to be aware of it. Day by day.”
Melody: “I’m still so blessed to be here. This is literally my dream.”
Melody: “And when have I ever stopped at achieving one dream? You can go achieve your dream of staying in this house.”
Melody: “I’ve literally survived a million other things that are way worse than this. I can stay. I can survive. I want to. So I will.”
Melody: “Today is going to be a great day. And so is tomorrow. And so is next week. And so is the rest of the f—ing month. It’s a new f—ing month.”
Melody: “You had your moment to be annoying and sad and depressed and whatever else. Okay. You had that moment. That moment’s over now. It’s go time.”
Melody: “I’m funny. I talk to people. I’m not scared. I want to be here. I’m ready to fight.”
Melody: “Things could not be better, actually.”
Melody: “So, if I want to stay, I’m going to have to put in some f—ing work. And not f—ing talking to anybody is not working. It’s just not going to work.”
Melody: “This is f—ing pathetic. I can name a hundred things off the top of my head right now that I’ve done that are harder than going and being fake nice to these f—ing people.”
Melody: “I don’t wanna go home, so I’m not going to. I’m not going home.”
Melody: “I love myself and I respect myself enough to fight to be here.”
Melody: “What goes up must come down.”
Melody: “I am positive. I attract positivity. Good things always happen to me.”
Melody: “I attract good energy because I give out good energy.”
Melody: “Now I’m going to go out there and I’m going to fake my goodness.”

She wraps it up.

Melody: “Thank you, universe. Thank you, Earth. And thank you to myself for not going actually insane. Completely.”

10:37 am – Haley and Chuk, hammock

Haley: “I’m over it. I just don’t want to be locked in that room all day again today.”
Chuk: “You’re going to be back to your outside self again.”
Chuk: “I suspect you shall do 20,000 steps today.”
Haley: “Well, I’m walking.”
Chuk: “I’m scared of how much f—ing you’re going to walk. Can we please at least feed you?”
Haley: “Yeah, I’m walking today.”
Chuk: “Just walk to the door. I’ll just have the food ready.”
Chuk: “I’m so scared you’re going to walk till your feet hurt.”
Chuk: “There’s this movie called — where they had to walk, and they got killed if you stopped. It was so good.”
Haley: “Oh my god, I would have won that game.”
Chuk: “I know you would. They were walking for days, though.”
Chuk: “I was talking to Devens before everyone got out there. I was like, dude, this is a f—ing long-ass game.”
Chuk: “And I was like, the fact that most shows are, like, wrapping up blows my mind that we’re just getting going.”

Haley: “I really need you to smooth it over with Taylor.”
Chuk: “I will. I’m going to talk to her all day. I’ll be around her a lot today. I’ll do that.”

On next week:

Haley: “Do you think next week will be a double eviction?”
Chuk: “I don’t know. You never know.”
Haley: “I think this is really crucial that we win it. Very crucial.”
Chuk: “Since we have one more extra person.”
Chuk: “If next week is a double eviction, it’s like, eat HOH.”
Chuk: “When I got poisoned by Melody, I was like, damn, bro, I’m about to get out of this game. I was so nervous.”
Chuk: “And then you’re nervous, and you’re also trying to be theatrical for the f—ing show. When you really just want to dial the f— in and do it.”

On Kamu:

Haley: “I feel like Kamu is, like, scared to talk to me right now. Like, he’s a little nervous to talk to me right now.”
Chuk: “You don’t scare a soul.”
Chuk: “Yeah, but he knows he’s walking on eggshells, because he came at me so hot.”
Chuk: “He came at me so hot, and then everyone in the room was like, no, Lyric’s the best decision this week. And it’s not like she’s the f—ing target.”
Chuk: “Blood off your hands, and we could easily smooth things out with her.”
Haley: “She did ask me a few days ago, would I ever be a renom?”
Chuk: “I told her, I don’t know.”
Chuk: “Yeah, everyone else is asking me where they are.”

Haley: “Me being angry last night didn’t help anyone.”
Haley: “I just walked downstairs. I was like, I’m good. I’m exhausted.”
Haley: “And the fact that, like, I didn’t even get five minutes by myself before people started. And it was like, that was a conversation. And I was like, f— that.”
Haley: “I just feel like it’s telling me what to do without telling me what to do. I’m not playing that game.”
Haley: “And I’m going to stand on integrity, and I said that.”
Chuk: “And that’s great to stand on. And you can stand on that this early on.”
Haley: “Like, again, if this was week seven—”
Chuk: “Things would be really different.”
Haley: “It would be a lot different. I ain’t f—ing promising nobody nothing.”
Chuk: “Okay, I’m glad you say that, because this early on, yes, you can still stand on it. By week seven, no.”
Haley: “Listen, I’m raw and true to who I am, and I’m going to keep my character intact, and I’m not going to jeopardize that. That was my whole thing.”
Haley: “I just don’t want to feel backed into a corner again like that.”
Chuk: “That was crap. And our alliance definitely is going to understand it. And yes, we’re all on board for it.”

The plan for next week:

Haley: “It just sets us up for next week perfectly. Because our target, again, is Drew.”
Chuk: “Because Mallory was not our target this week.”
Haley: “No, but she’s a good person to get out. Just wasn’t expecting it to be week four. Maybe week five or six. But if we can shoot at Drew now, let’s just f—ing do it.”
Haley: “Lyric’s a good game player, and so is Mallory. So they could all win the Blockbuster.”
Chuk: “Damn, it’s gonna be weird seeing Drew’s face if everything goes to plan.”
Haley: “He has no idea.”
Chuk: “He has, like, no idea.”

Haley does the vote math.

Haley: “So we have eight people in the Tool Shed. Six people can vote.”
Chuk: “Correct.”
Haley: “I can’t vote, Drew can’t vote, in case Drew’s still on the block.”
Haley: “We don’t have to say a damn word to anybody else.”
Chuk: “I think that’s it. Everyone’s on board with getting him out.”
Haley: “And as long as this whole thing with Taylor smooths over a little bit better, I think I’m fine.”
Haley: “But I’m not worried about her winning.”
Chuk: “No one’s worried about her winning the HOH.”
Haley: “So next week, my hope is I’m just so low out of the radar, I can just chill, because my first three weeks were f—ing terrible.”
Chuk: “Yeah, you’re due for a chill week.”
Haley: “Everyone’s kind of been like, yeah, you’ve been dragged through the mud, I’m so glad you won the HOH. But I’m like, yes, I’m glad I won the HOH, but it still sucks.”
Haley: “Taylor’s not going to give. I think she’d still come after me.”
Haley: “But it’s not like I put her up for no reason. I gave her three reasons why.”
Chuk: “You gave everybody a reason.”
Haley: “So I’m worrying for nothing. I’m just tired.”
Chuk: “This is where emotions now come in.”
Haley: “I was just annoyed last night.”
Chuk: “It’s okay. You can be annoyed.”

Why nobody pushes back on Kamu:

Haley: “I also don’t think anyone pushes back to Kamu at all. Because he’s such a good speaker.”
Chuk: “And I understand what you mean — sometimes when someone’s a good speaker, people believe, like, oh, you’re definitely leading the right way.”
Haley: “No, I’m still standing on business.”
Chuk: “Truly, Mallory and Lyric were great options. He had great points. You had great points.”
Haley: “His whole thing is he’s protecting the alliance. And I’m like, protecting the alliance?”
Chuk: “For him, he’s truly doing what we said we’re always going to constantly do.”
Haley: “But we have to look out for it. That was a week one fluff getting thrown out. That’s not a week two, week three, week four.”
Haley: “He wants to protect the alliance, but then why wouldn’t you try to protect me? His whole big thing is protect the HOH, protect the HOH. So why would I have two people running after me?”
Chuk: “Here’s the sad part, right? Him trying to protect the alliance by putting Mallory on — puts blood on your hands.”
Haley: “Where he already showed that he wasn’t protecting me at all.”
Chuk: “There was going to be blood on either hands, regardless. But it’s going to be less blood with putting Lyric on.”
Chuk: “Any HOH is going to have kind of like that double whammy. I’m going to either have blood, or just a little bit of blood.”
Haley: “Well, I’m just annoyed, because he was all about protecting our HOH the last three weeks.”
Haley: “Why wouldn’t you try to protect me a little bit even more, if I’m supposed to be your ride or die here?”
Chuk: “Just because we saw that Mallory is, like, a ginormous competition threat.”
Haley: “Lyric has done two good things just in the same area.”
Chuk: “For him, he’s like, she’s done good in comps. She won a veto.”
Haley: “Again, everyone’s talking about Lyric’s composure, and she’s great.”
Chuk: “She is. She’s truly great.”
Haley: “So what’s the difference?”
Chuk: “Y’all were both going at it, and it was like, yo, these are both great competitors. One has shown it, and one is showing it as we speak.”
Haley: “And she just jumped a complete ship from her entire friend group. You don’t think she’d jump ship from you? That’s what I’m like — how do you not see that?”
Chuk: “For him, I think he sees it as her willing to separate from Mallory. Like, she’s literally doing it in the house.”
Haley: “She’s only doing it because she lost her boyfriend and her male best friend. There’s no reason to stay.”
Chuk: “I think he sees it as she’s been actually making those strides, compared to Mallory giving us cold.”
Haley: “But she doesn’t give all of us cold. That’s also the other thing that he’s not seeing.”
Chuk: “Yeah, she gives me and him.”
Haley: “Again, same thing — Lyric hasn’t gone to everyone in the Tool Shed saying, I’m going to protect you.”
Chuk: “No, only me and him.”
Haley: “So why not have somebody on the other side that keeps Mallory a little bit more safe?”
Chuk: “Isn’t it crazy that both sides are the same thing? Like, she comes to just me and Kamu. She comes to just you and Dee.”
Chuk: “Mallory worries me too. That’s why I was going back and forth. I was like, dude, trust me, Mallory f—ing worries me.”
Haley: “We put her on the block this week, it’s just going to put more blood on everyone’s hands if she wins it.”
Haley: “Because if she wins HOH, she’s coming after one, two, and three.”
Chuk: “Dude, Haley also has to protect her game. We’re protecting our game, too.”
Haley: “So why would I jeopardize myself when you guys are doing the same shit?”
Chuk: “Because we know that Lyric would never put us up. So we’re definitely protecting our personal game.”
Haley: “So the push for me to do it is bulls—.”

On what she’s already done for the alliance:

Haley: “I’m the one that had to blur the line with that. And that could have taken a lot of heat, especially if it gets out.”
Haley: “Putting up Drew was a big move. You smoothed it over with him, and we had him feeling so comfortable. This could have went completely left.”
Haley: “So I feel like people are losing credit for the fact of, like, I just did two huge things. So yeah, I can be selfish with putting up my own renom.”
Chuk: “That you put up Drew, and that Drew totally is believing that you’re fine.”
Chuk: “I thought Drew was smarter than that. Before the noms, I just thought he was a little bit smarter.”
Chuk: “He’s funny, so, you know, people who are funny are usually pretty intelligent. But he is 22.”
Chuk: “Hey, good job, girl.”
Haley: “I think this has been really good. I just don’t like how he’s pushing back so hard.”
Haley: “Because no one ever pushed him back for his decisions.”
Chuk: “And I say, they didn’t have an easy decision, but they had a cut and dry decision.”
Chuk: “The whole f—ing house needed Rome out. The whole f—ing house needed Jason out. So it was a little bit more easier — but not easy, because those are some tough guys to get out.”
Chuk: “Everyone else truly believes that you’re not going home. And they all definitely believe that. And so that’s the sucky part.”

Wrapping up:

Haley: “Let me know what he says today. Because I’m going to kind of just be by myself a little bit more today and walk.”
Haley: “And there’s not alone time when you’re walking, because everyone’s out here.”
Chuk: “It’s going to be a wild day. It’s going to be a fun day.”
Haley: “I just want to relax. I don’t want this so much drama.”
Haley: “No drama.”
Chuk: “No drama.”
Haley: “I can win HOH next week so I can relax, dude.”

On Devens:

Haley: “Has Devens been so agreeable with everything I’ve done?”
Chuk: “Very agreeable. He truly is team — like, if I’m in a comp, I’m going to go in it to win it for you guys, for us. And I trust the HOH.”
Chuk: “He’s been so agreeable. No bounce back with him. He truly is like a team player and a strong player.”
Haley: “Right. That’s why when he got out early in the HOH comp, I was so surprised.”

Haley brings up Yash.

Haley: “Somebody told me that Yash was feeding Taylor.”
Chuk: “Yeah, I told you that. Didn’t I tell you that when you called me up there?”
Haley: “He was also feeding Mallory, and someone else.”
Haley: “Y’all was feeding them everything, and then I walked in, y’all stopped talking and didn’t feed me anything.”
Haley: “That’s why I said I’m not ever working with you.”
Haley: “Imagine two people in a room, he’s feeding them things, and he’s still in that room. I come in and he just stops talking and leaves the room.”
Haley: “And I knew that’s the same energy Taylor gave me with Jason, and I just didn’t care for it.”
Haley: “I think I told you Yash was feeding Mallory information that night. There was also someone else in the room, but I don’t know who it was. I could care less. But it was a mental note.”

Haley: “Alright, I’m going to go get my walking shoes on. I’m going to stretch first.”
Chuk: “Enjoy whatever’s in that cup.”
Haley: “Oh, it’s so bad. I took a drink of it and I was like, why does this taste so bitter?”
Chuk: “It looks like Loki’s poop.”
Haley: “It’s water.”

11:10 am Berrett and Mallory

Barrett has just come from the HOH meeting. He tells Mallory what he heard.

Barrett: “She wants to talk to you later today. She said something about just trying to cut a deal with you.”
Mallory: “Okay.”
Barrett: “I don’t know for what exactly. I guess just to see.”
Barrett: “But it seemed like it was going to be between you and Lyric.”
Barrett: “But nobody wanted to say you. Everybody just said Lyric was their preference, so that’s good.”
Mallory: “Okay. Why?”
Barrett: “I think I told you yesterday, it just seemed like Lyric is promising everybody safety up the wazoo.”
Barrett: “But it’s also like, I don’t know, I f— with her too, so it’s like, what the f—?”
Mallory: “I mean, if her deal is, I won’t put her up — I’ll make that deal. And keep it.”
Barrett: “I don’t know if she’s gonna talk to Lyric at some point.”
Barrett: “But she definitely reiterated again that she didn’t want to put you through that, being on the block again. So that was nice.”
Barrett: “I think just, yeah, probably just safety going forward, or working within some group, possibly.”
Barrett: “I was up there with Haley, Devens and Angela, with Kamu. That’s when it came out that it was between you two.”
Mallory: “Okay… ay caramba.”

What Barrett wasn’t told:

Barrett: “But either way, they didn’t tell me that the target was Drew. Still.”
Mallory: “It is Drew.”
Barrett: “I think it is.”
Mallory: “Okay.”
Barrett: “But they’re not telling me that.”
Barrett: “So they want me in the dark on that part until they want to tell me.”
Barrett: “Obviously, we never talked about this.”
Mallory: “Yeah, yeah. Oh, f—.”
Barrett: “We just gotta get to next week and f—ing get in that f—ing room.”

Mallory: “I’m really scared it’s gonna be me. God, I’m really scared.”
Barrett: “I don’t think it’s gonna be you.”
Mallory: “Why would it be me?”
Barrett: “I think it’s just process of elimination at this point for them.”
Mallory: “And she said in front of everyone, she’s going to try to talk to me.”
Barrett: “Try to talk to you, yeah. Because it was basically an extension of, oh, Barrett, you’ll feel good.”
Mallory: “I’m not going to have enough votes to stay if it’s me.”
Barrett: “That’s not true.”
Mallory: “Me versus Melody. I won’t have it. Drew’s going to vote to keep Melody.”
Barrett: “I don’t think that that’s true either. I think we can work it out.”
Mallory: “I would have everyone on our side except for Drew.”
Barrett: “It’s not gonna be you, though.”
Mallory: “Okay, hopefully. I’ll just talk to her and literally say anything that she wants.”
Barrett: “Literally just boost her ego. Just f—ing feed into it.”
Barrett: “I think that’s, unfortunately, what saves my ass, too.”
Mallory: “Like, what would you say?”
Barrett: “Just, like, you’re doing so good.”
Barrett: “It’s f—ed. I hate it. That seems to be the play with her and Kamu. You’re doing great.”

Mallory: “Damn, I really hope it’s not me.”
Barrett: “Nobody said they wanted you.”
Mallory: “Up again?”
Barrett: “Nobody.”

Why the room landed on Lyric:

Barrett: “Why do they want Lyric? Because Lyric is not with anybody. And I don’t think anyone feels like they have a solid connection with her.”
Barrett: “And they brought up again, like I told you yesterday, how she’s completely just trying to—”
Mallory: “Jump ship.”
Barrett: “How she’s latching onto all the people she can. They all see that. Which may or may not be true. Again, I would f— with Lyric before any of those motherf—ers. But that’s their reasoning.”
Barrett: “And again, there was a whole point where Haley was like, alright, who has Lyric said to that she would never put them up?”
Barrett: “And, like, everybody raised their hand. And they didn’t like that either.”
Mallory: “Yeah, that’s not great.”
Mallory: “When do you think she’s going to talk to me?”
Barrett: “Maybe at some point when you’re outside or something today.”
Barrett: “I was gonna say, seek her out when you can. But that’s all I got.”
Mallory: “Alright, thank you for telling me.”
Barrett: “Of course.”
Mallory: “I’m glad it’s not you.”
Barrett: “And I’m glad it’s not you. But I f—ing hate that it’s still somebody that you like.”
Barrett: “So probably not the target, but that still doesn’t help who the target is. It’s somebody that’s still somebody we like.”

Working out the Blockbuster:

Mallory: “And then if Drew wins Blockbuster, who do you think will go home between Melody and Lyric? I think that’s something that we have to figure out too during the week.”
Barrett: “Because he knows that him and Melody are viewed as a pair, and he knows that if Melody goes, it’s essentially like Rome going for Lyric.”
Barrett: “Even though they’re not a showmance. But everyone wants to see them as that.”
Barrett: “But even that is like, I don’t want Melody to go.”
Barrett: “That’s the thing. That’s the f—ed up part about this game — is when you have three people that you all f— with, it’s like, now you gotta figure out, okay, who can you f—ing lose?”
Barrett: “And the answer is nobody.”
Barrett: “Haley would prefer Melody.”
Barrett: “If Drew is actually the target, but Dee is telling me it’s Drew, then he would go if Melody won the Blockbuster — or actually even if Lyric won the Blockbuster.”

On Drew:

Barrett: “And I like him a lot, but — when I start hearing things that he’s saying that he doesn’t tell me about, it’s like, over and over again. Like I was telling you yesterday. Which is like, dude. Come on.”
Barrett: “Melody staying and getting her revenge would be fun.”
Mallory: “It seems like Melody is going to stay. Unless — hopefully, unless I’m the renom. Like, no.”
Barrett: “No, thank you.”
Barrett: “Again, if that changed today, I would love to know what happened. Because there is not one person that said they wanted you.”
Mallory: “Plus, she promised you.”
Mallory: “She said this week will be a breather for me. She never explicitly said, you’re not going up. But she was like, you need a break. This will be a breather for you.”
Mallory: “So she would be going back on something. And I don’t think she promised Lyric about the same thing at all.”

Mallory: “This sucks. I’m nervous what the deal is going to be.”
Barrett: “It may not even be a deal. It may just be a quick talk.”
Barrett: “But she definitely did seem like she wanted to loop you in on something.”
Barrett: “Or not throwing you under the bus, but not speaking highly of you and Melody. I’ve heard that from multiple people.”
Barrett: “But again, everybody can do what they gotta do.”
Barrett: “At least people are, like, showing where they are and not putting up their closest allies.”
Barrett: “And that’s what Haley kind of told me too. She’s like, and I get it. I get why you tried to do it. Like, it’s honorable.”

Come on Mallory, just win HOH and you won’t be seen as a “loser”. Make a move and get your game started.

Some thoughts:
The difficulty of a REAL floater game.
Measurement of what info to share and when can trip up float style players. If the finger on the pulse of the house is wrong, the info shared could worsen position depending on awareness of every game relationship.
Measurement of your perceived identity can trip up float style players. If anyone stops to assess that an informant that is friends with everyone is friends with no one… poof. There goes the strategy.
Measurement of being obvious can trip up a float style player. Think about this. If a floater very obviously works the men only… all it takes is one woman that has ever been in a bar on a weekend to say oh she’s playing the ho game. Come on. It is always another woman that recognizes it… and always another woman that will tear her down for it.
Measurement of value. a floater must always know the exact layout of the relationships in the house. If there is another float style player that could have greater value, they must use all of their collected info to get that person out of the way. Why? In a fluid environment the value of a floater is they are the ONLY one able to float. They have to be the only source to everyone in power. If someone else can do the job… the value ceases to exist and the floater becomes an acceptable casualty.

This is why a float style game in it’s TRUE definition is a mastermind social strategy.

I am curious why we don’t know yet what happen with the BB Time Capsule this week. I read some think it MAY be Drew who won the coin toss. Apparently in the coin toss the HOH flips a coin, and how it lands determines if the person who won can take over the HOH. If Drew won that would really change the game now.

Yep. BB has gone out of their way to keep this on buttoned up.

Thog needs to get over herself – and fast! She makes Christmas (and her BB19 HOH bloody reign) look like a garden party.

Give someone a taste of power and they’ll reveal so much about how they really feel. Still confused about how Hayleys last three weeks were so tough.
