Havenots: Lyric, Barrett, Rome, Kamu, Jason, Barrett
By sunrise, Rome had made his rounds — Devens, Dee, Angela, his own allies — apologizing for the doorbell blowup and trying to read where he stands. He got closer to the truth than anyone realized: he’s worked out he’s the actual target, telling Jason flatly “I’m the backdoor,” and is already bracing to win the veto to survive it. What he hasn’t figured out is how far off his other reads are — he’s still coaching his allies to work on Barrett and Drew as if either is gettable, and he’s telling his own side they hold the vote majority when they don’t. Meanwhile Devens has spent the entire morning delivering the same “it’s going to get dicey” warning to nearly everyone in the house, Mallory’s been fully locked in as safe, and the misdirection is working exactly as intended — the house has pegged Haley as the real ringleader, and Jason’s about to blame the wrong person entirely once nominations go up. Both sides are running on no sleep and just want it to happen already.

8:50 am Lyric, MAllory and Melody
Lyric opens by telling the other two she wants to spend the day with them, careful to add she doesn’t want Rome getting worked up about it. Talk turns immediately to the doorbell — all three already know it happened, and Mallory pokes at the excuse: “I feel like no one’s that dumb to just not let someone in… is anyone that stupid to just be like, oh, actually, we’re having a conversation and you can’t be a part of it?” Her read is that it wasn’t an accident, it was a meeting.
Lyric presses Melody directly on whether Devens gave any indication she’s a target. Melody says no, promises it, and reasons he’s too smart to tip his hand that directly. She recounts her own sit-down with him from the night before, unprompted, and it lines up with what actually happened in that conversation — no safety, no promises, just “I appreciate you talking to me.” Mallory, for her part, tells Lyric she’d already made her own case to Devens: if she’d won HOH, Lyric wouldn’t have been anywhere near her list.

9:06 am Rome and Devens
Rome comes to Devens to apologize for how he reacted the night before, framing it as unfit of his character, and gives Devens the play-by-play of his own morning: Haley bursting in and waking Kamu in a panic, the group deciding to get away from the room, then watching Angela quietly pull Barrett upstairs. Rome followed, rang the HOH doorbell, got no answer, and heard the room go silent — “so people are hiding.” When the room did surface, Haley’s parting line to him was pointed enough to sting: “you guys better get some rest because it’s going to be a big day tomorrow.” Rome says it rubbed him the wrong way enough that he went and repeated it back to her in her bed, more as a jab than a warning.
The tone shifts from there — Rome tells Devens he still trusts him specifically, separate from “those other people” he’s now watching closely, and frames the two of them as having had an open line since day one. Devens doesn’t deny anything’s changing: “I think it’s going to get kind of dicey… the game’s about to pick up.” He apologizes for the doorbell, calls it a sucky feeling to be shut out, and asks Rome directly if he wants any kind of heads-up. What follows is a warmer, messier stretch — both talking over each other, repeated “I love you”s, Devens telling Rome he’s “just a big dog” who has to “be that dog.” It reads like two people who both know where this is heading and are trying to keep it personal-friendly anyway.

9:16 am Rome and Jason
Rome recaps his own conversation with Devens for Jason, working through it as he retells it — Devens telling him “shit’s going to get dicey,” softened with “I gave this game… personally, I love you.” Rome catches himself mid-recap, correcting his own memory out loud: Devens framed him as the only real competitive threat to the other side, and Rome corrects “us” to “them” — “he didn’t say us.” Together the two work out what it means. The house is losing a number for certain, and Rome says it plainly: “And I’m the backdoor.” The plan settles into: win the veto, keep the block clear.
The conversation shifts to damage control from the night before. Rome tells Jason the doorbell scene wasn’t an accident — he wanted it to look like he was unraveling, specifically because it would put Barrett’s clean reputation in question: “Barrett’s a sweetheart to everyone… everyone would start seeing that Barrett’s not the sweetheart they think he is.” He also mentions telling Lala what happened, including a claim that Angela’s “been playing” the house. The clip closes on breakfast — oatmeal, low stakes, morning routine.

9:30 am Dee and Rome
Same apology tour, third stop. Rome opens with the same complaint he gave Devens — he doesn’t care if people talk game privately, he just wanted the door answered: “if you guys are having a private conversation talking game, fine… open up, hey, private conversation, I’m out.” Dee doesn’t argue it. Rome draws a clear line for her specifically: he still trusts her, still trusts Drew (“I love Drew”), but “I don’t trust the rest of the crew.” He makes his case directly — he’s “the last physical, threatening, challenge person” on his side of the house, which makes him the obvious smart target once competitions start mattering. Dee doesn’t confirm or deny, just deflects: “well, you never know.”
Dee reveals she’d already talked to Devens herself, separately from Rome’s own conversation with him, and got the same guarded read: “Devens was keeping a lot of cards close to his chest.” Rome pushes harder, telling Dee flatly he doesn’t know where she stands anymore, and turns it transactional — “what are you going to offer me is the real question… if I get nothing in return, it starts to diminish.” Dee doesn’t really answer that either.
The two also revisit their day-one bond, with Rome recalling he told her early on he thought they could go far together, and Dee agreeing but pointing out they’d barely spoken since. Rome relays, directly, what Devens told him: “Devin’s told me, he’s like, shit’s going to get dicey today” — a fourth separate account of Devens using that exact word this week. He offers Dee a clean out — cut ties, no hard feelings, “I’m going to love you all after this game” — and Dee turns it down: “I don’t think so.”
Then Rome goes for the real question. He asks her directly about the “mega alliance” perception — “you and that group of people… the vision, the perception is like this mega alliance.” Dee doesn’t deny it exists, but doesn’t confirm it either: “I’m not that close… there’s not, like, a handshake agreement on what’s going on.” Rome accepts the deflection at face value — “yeah, that’s scary… understandable” — while telling her plainly he now expects to be gunned for and plans to “compete my ass off.” He closes by pitching her on staying close regardless of what’s coming, and Dee’s response is warm, relieved even: “when you came into the room and said that, I was like, thank God.”

9:45 am Melody, Lyric and Rome
Rome runs the doorbell story again — his fourth telling of the morning — before shifting into lockdown mode: “I want you to know that I’m solidifying all of us on our side,” warning that if a specific ally swings to the other side, they lose the vote. He tells the group flatly that they still hold vote majority — worth flagging, since that directly contradicts the seven-vote bloc already locked against him on the other side. He repeats the Devens “dicey” line for the third time this morning and makes his case for being the target: “I’m a big physical dog… if I’m gone, then it becomes like you’ve got Kamu, Chuck, Haley, who are all physical threats up against me.” He also names Melody as a possible co-target, worried Devens doesn’t like her.
After a gap where the audio doesn’t pick anything up for about two minutes, Rome relays something Jason told him — that Devens has been open enough about targeting Rome that it’s close to common knowledge, tied to “something that happened at the line dancing.” Rome recounts a version of Melody’s dance-partner mix-up from the HOH comp — though this whole stretch is tagged as Rome talking throughout, so treat it as his retelling rather than Melody’s own words. He coaches the group not to reveal where their information is coming from, and to keep working on Drew and Barrett specifically.
He closes on a personal note, framing his Have-Not sign-up as protecting someone else from having to do it — his own version, distinct from the read elsewhere that he did it to be near Lyric — before the scene drifts into breakfast.

10:10 am Deven and Mallory
Mallory opens by making clear she’s not fishing — twice over the course of the conversation she repeats some version of the same offer: “I wasn’t going to try to get any information out of you, but if you want someone to talk things through, I’m here.” Devens reconfirms everything from the night before holds: “You’re 100% safe the whole week. From me and from renoms and all that stuff.” He previews the same warning he’s now given to nearly everyone in the house — “it’s just going to get dicey… it’s going to get a little weird around the house” — and Mallory validates it from her own experience: “even when Dee put people up, the vibe changed after.”
He tells her he’s planning to “air a lot out” during the nominations speech, and drops the one genuinely new piece of information in the conversation: “I think there’s a group that would rather you go up than other people go up.” Mallory doesn’t press for who. The two sit with the tension of the format itself for a moment — Mallory reflecting, unprompted, that “all my closest friends have a closer friend,” a rare moment of real vulnerability about how precarious trust is at this stage — before both agree they just want the day to be over already: “I wish nominations were, like, five minutes from now.”
It closes on the callback that’s clearly stuck from overnight — Mallory jokes about Devens badmouthing her to get her out, and he deflects instantly: “I would have said PQ’s the worst.” Confirms the nickname’s fully in rotation now, not a one-off.

10:14 am Jason acting goofy telling people vote for Rome, Taylor or Jason to win the power. “We Need Power”

10:25 am Angela and Devens
Angela reports that Jason confronted her directly, asking if she threw the competition — she denied it, and both of them dismiss the idea outright. She mentions Rome came and apologized to her too, extending his morning apology tour to a fourth person. Devens recaps his own version of the Rome conversation, matching what Rome told Dee and Jason: “He was like, you and I have always been good, if something was to happen, that it would get dicey. And I was just like, dude, it’s going to get dicey.”
Devens confirms directly what the last two conversations already showed — he reassured Mallory by name: “Mallory, PQ, Pipe Queen, and all of that… you’re not going up no matter what.” Angela’s reaction is personal, not strategic: “I’m so glad you did that because she’s been walking around looking really sad and I don’t want that for her.” The two share an oddly vulnerable moment about the house’s social math — Devens admits he has a lot of friends but doubts he’s anyone’s actual first choice, and Angela tells him she feels exactly the same way.
Then the real value: Angela walks through how badly the house has misread the situation, and why that’s working in their favor. Jason, once he’s nominated, is expected to go theatrical and blame her specifically for throwing the HOH competition — meaning suspicion lands on the wrong person entirely. Bigger than that: the house broadly believes Haley is “the ringleader of all of this,” which Angela calls flatly “so good for us,” and even Lala apparently thinks she’s got leverage over Angela because of it. None of it’s true, and none of it points at the actual architects.
Angela previews she might retaliate if Jason gets too theatrical during his reaction, threatening to expose something about him publicly and leaning on her identity as a mother of four teenagers to undercut him — “I see through the bullshit.” She doesn’t specify what exactly he’s done to her, same as previous mentions of this thread. The conversation winds down with real exhaustion showing through — Angela’s running on about an hour of sleep, a tired bit about Dee’s snoring, then a slip where Devens accidentally calls Angela “Drew,” which she waves off entirely. Both agree they just want the ceremony over with; Angela admits, a little gleefully, that “it is kind of fun watching them squirm a little” before Devens heads off to shower and get dressed.

(The ugliest showmance)
10:25 am Jason starts crying
I wonder how long it will take for Drew’s floater tactics to get caught out? If I was working with Drew I would not like the fact that he gets told information by the other side of the house and comes to back to tell everything. If I was Dee et al, I would start to think he is doing the same thing to me with the likes of Jason and Rome etc. It’s going to get juicy.
Can’t say they weren’t warned.
Timeline:
by the time feeds aired 1/2 the house thought Dee was in with Kamu/Haley/Chuk because they were in her HOH constantly (from what various houseguests said).
The entire house clocked Dee Devins and Angela as, of course, working together.
Most of the people probably seeing the block this week clocked that Devens Drew and Barrett were chummy (except Jason).
The cuddling. Barrett and Dee. Like nobody has noticed.
Now we get to Wednesday:
Ashley tells Melody.
Melody first tells the other two girls, then tells Rome, then directly goes to Drew and Barrett (this is what caused the kill the plan…. too much exposure of the spies and the HOH that wanted to play defense in the house split).
So.
A working brain already knows the lay of the land.
And then there is Rome.
Rome who spills all info with zero filter.
Rome who doesn’t believe anyone unless it fits into his view of the game.
Rome who sold almost everyone he is aligned with down the river.
Yeah.
Can’t say they weren’t warned.
So. Why are they surprised?
Biggest evicted danger in my estimation is actually Melody.
Drew, yesterday before feeds cut for Eviction, told Devens he was ready to cut Melody loose. He is her definite blindspot.
Devens has had a minor hate boner for Melody since feeds came on. Not a full blown hategasm…. but not yippeeskippy by far.
La Trice and Taylor are not pro Melody. Why? From what La Trice said before Veto, Melody gives her the impression she’s a comp beast and La Trice doesn’t want to compete against that. I sideyed it too.
Of the other side, she is the ONLY one that the stunts consider an actual gamer (threat to their domination).
She didn’t follow their proposed script of what she would do if shown the lay of the land. (yes, i will die on the hill that Ashley was told to do what she did… the result isn’t what they expected so… Ashley’s fault).
Her cut and run on a 3 day friend move last week was viewed as sketch. Execution will lead to her bbexecution.
Set in stone she is boot number 2? No. But given her jump in d/r… that would be a good set up / introduction that makes her second evicted feasible.
Angela won time capsule fan vote.
Angela lost the comp and gets a punishment.
Angela will get a full clip on the episode for more airtime.
Newbs were kept from competing in yet another comp because of the presence of stuntcasts this season.
Even if they don’t win the time capsule prize and get the punishment…. the stuntcasts still win.
Mallory could use some makeup on that face of hers. Even when the feeds arent on & she’s in bed sleep or just piddling around the house . No one should have to look at that canvas in its natural state.
She’s like a version of Christine from a few years back , can’t remember the season number !
same thing with Melody, shes scary without makeup
Barrett looks like he smells like cat piss ??? Hopefully he is kicked out ASAP I cant stand his gross nose piercing and goofy rat hair.
Happy that Yash won the BBB! All the insecure pretentious racist haters are seething so hard. Dee is such a fake bimbo can’t wait until she is kicked to the curb.
If sweet sweet Melody wore bangs no one would ever know that she has a huge forehead, the size of a Koala bear.
#1, Koalas are NOT bears.
#2, Please do not compare Melody to Koala’s for it insults Koalas!.
Drew resembles Liza Minelli
He will really soon. I’ve heard him several times speaking on his eagerness for doing all that drag stuff with Jason. He said something about making all the dudes in the house question their sexuality with his transformation.
Not counting the 3 main stunt cast members (Jason would be the 4th), my preference to go are Jason, Melody and Rome.
KITTIES on right now…SO here it comes….
BTW, it is a good thing I live so far from CA OTHEREWISE, I’d be soooo tempted to take ALL the kitties home, especially the one that likes the most to climb onto the open door of the one cubicle. Good thing because I have ALMOST too many furbabies already!
I miss the days of the house having house pets like the hamsters (not fish so much)…I think they need a kitty or puppy in the house. A kitty would be better because of the lock-downs and a puppy couldn’t get outside.
Dee looks like a mentally ill hooker. Hoping she gets booted ASAP
I watched that entire Rick Devens new HOH/F-you Rome plan come together last night. It was so good. I wish there was a way to replay or even rewind this stuff.
In the end when everybody was high-fiving and backslapping each other, Angela ruined it by immediately trying to shift the whole gathering to her beef with Jason. She wouldn’t let it go. Everybody was basically ignoring her.
Huge casting mistake with her. BB is doing her a huge solid by how they’re portraying her on TV episodes. She is such a hot mess in there. She doesn’t have the mental fortitude for this.
Speaking of high-fiving and backslapping, I’m sure the BB producers were doing the same over their decision to put Rick Deven’s into the game this season. I don’t think he is a smart as Dee but I do think he might be better. We’ll see.
I hate Barrett since he looks so gross. Dee is just a airhead that needs to be kicked out ASAP.
Simon, in the Tool Shed recap there was a quote in there. It was” This is the best Big Brother show I’ve ever watched”. Just curious, was that your personal quote?
nope
I was just curious cause it definitely was some of the best BB I’ve seen yet. That thing up there last night ended with that entire group bowing down to Rick. That has to be a Big Brother first.
As much as i am annoyed by the stooge game with no backup exit strategy plan Drew is playing…
Here is why I am not annoyed by his ‘doing too much’ today.
Last night is the reason.
a) Haley tells him point blank she told Devens to put Drew on the block as a pawn.
b) Angela has been crackpiping on Drew for-evah. She was in fine form last night telling him people are targeting him but refusing to name names.
c) the oddity of the first half of his convo with Devens. It was… quite obvious Drew was out of grace. Why? Angela mixed with the 4 season reveal. Barrett and Devens did not know of that alliance. Drew told Dee. The info never went to the rest.
So why is Drew doing such walk the edge damage control today?
Burning Haley and Angela isn’t unfounded. They have made it quite clear where he sits with them.
Protecting Devens the current HOH from heat. Uuuuvv course he is.
sidebar. Glad Angela’s fake tears d/r got her enough sympathy that she is in an egg costume and can’t get a prizepower week 4 when the scheduled possible adversity should be happening. At least until Dee or Devens pulls the Allison butt vetoes and coup d’etats out of their butt cracks. sideye. oh we were all thinking it. Only way a stuntcast leaves before prodo has gotten their money’s worth for the special contract is if they can’t be convinced NOT to leave by the voice of Grod.
With multiple comments about looks here…let me say this…
WILL SOMEONE PLEASE TELL DEVENS TO STOP MESSING WITH HIS STASH. It is so annoying..him stroking his stash which also causes him to touch his lips and the underside of his nose with the same fingers THEN HE GOES ABOUT TOUCHING THINGS with the same fingers that others touch, like doorknobs and food packages.
Then there was Rome and Lyric in the storage room with Lyric sitting on the center block WHERE PEOPLE PUT FOOD while they fooled around. UGH! Yeah, they were not naked BUT STILL! NOBODY should be sitting on a surface where food is put, even if they are by themselves at the time.
i wouldnt mind where Lyric sat
