Big Brother 28 spoilers: LaTrice “Lala” Verrett won the Week 5 Head of Household on The Wall, outlasting Kamu heads-up, and the BB28 live feeds ran past 4am with the house rearranging itself around her.

The queue formed before she’d even seen her room. Yash and Mallory got to the pod room first and staked their claim as the ones who were with her before it was worth anything. Devens went to Taylor for permission to name-drop her as an ally. Drew was already telling Melody and Mallory he doesn’t see Haley going up.

Then Lala and Taylor sat down alone in the HOH room and did the actual work. Two hours later there was a working three – Drew, Barrett and Kamu – a backdoor plan behind it, Haley as the name they both keep landing on, and a decision to tell every nominee they’re safe.

Downstairs in the have-not room, Haley, Kamu and Chuk were still trying to work out which of their own people flipped the vote.

12:53 AM – Yash and Mallory (Pod Room)

Yash tells Mallory they’re good.
Mallory: “I think I’m still going to talk to her.”
Yash: “Oh, for sure.”
Mallory: “And just if she wants to bounce anything off of me, you know?”
Yash: “Yeah.”

Yash: “But now all of them are going to be kissing her ass, get ready.”
Mallory: “And we’ve been rocking with her since the beginning.”
Yash: “Uh huh. Exactly. I wonder who she would put up.”
Mallory: “I would think Kamu, because he put her up.”
Yash: “But they talked about it when they were up there.”
Mallory: “And neither of them dropped on purpose.”

“She said, we gotta get this one, Yash, we gotta get this one.”

Yash: “Yeah. Like it wouldn’t be Angela, Yash, then Devens. He’s voting with us.”
Mallory: “Yeah, I know.”

Yash: “It’ll be really interesting to see who really knows, what she’ll figure out. F— yeah. F— yeah.”
Yash: “She said, we gotta get this one, Yash, we gotta get this one. I was like, let’s f—ing do this shit.”
Yash: “That’s f—ing crazy, she beat all of us.”

Taylor: “We’ll see what she’s saying.”

Devens: “Should I not name-drop you as someone I’m working with? Do you want to keep that on the down-low?”
Taylor: “You want me to tell her? You can tell her too. You can tell her.”
Devens: “I would love anything you could do for me, certainly.”

2:40 AM – Lala and Taylor (HOH Room)

The two of them dance and twerk their way into the room.

Lala: “Taylor, we done flipped the vote. Child, this week done flipped the house upside down.”
Lala: “Bruh, they shaking in they boots down there. They don’t know what to do.”
Lala: “They did not want me to win either. I know they didn’t want me to win.”
Lala: “Because every last one was trying to throw me on the f—ing bus. Every chance they got. Everybody went, oh, put Lala up. I’m like, huh?”

Taylor: “Who on your mind?”
Lala: “I had a whole nother vision of it.”
Taylor: “It hit different once you’re here. It hit different once you sit here.”

Lala: “Because my main thing was, I wanted Devens out. Because I just feel like, you don’t let Devens go to the end, and he’s gonna end up winning. Because he’s a fan favorite and because people be fanning out over him.”
Taylor: “You still want him out? You going to let him wait?”
Lala: “I don’t know. Because I’m thinking, the longer I let him wait, the harder it will be to get him out. And I’d rather – why not take my shot now? You know what I’m saying?”

Taylor: “Well, I’m going to tell you now, he came to me. To my pod. Put in a good word for me, and this, that, and the third. I was laying in my pod just before you got your key. And he was like, hey, Tay. And he was like, what you thinking?”
Taylor: “I said, I just know that she’s not a big fan of probably putting up the same people who’ve been going up every week. If you look at the wall, it’s slim picking.”
Taylor: “And he was like, yeah, I’m not feeling too good. And then he was like, how do you feel about me throwing your name, that we’ve been working together? Like me and him. Just me playing the game.”
Taylor: “And I was like, do what you got to do. Do what you got to do. And I said, I don’t have no problem confirming – which I am right now.”

Lala: “See, the thing about it is this. The way he rolled with Rome. And the way he lied to Rome’s f—ing face.”
Taylor: “What, he lied? What he said?”
Lala: “Because he told Rome he was not going to put him as a renom. Oh, no, I’m not going to put you up. I won’t put you up as a renom. And he said it. Well, I told you I wasn’t going to.”
Taylor: “And still did it.”
Lala: “And still did it.”

Taylor: “So would you put him up up front, or would you backdoor him?”
Lala: “I don’t know, because he might win the veto.”
Taylor: “Yeah, he’s a good competitor. He might win the Blockbuster, too.”
Lala: “He might win the Blockbuster, too, but then guess what? I took my shot. And I took my shot and I had a reason for taking the shot. So it’s not like I just wanted him out just because.”
Taylor: “But you’re taking your shot at him because of Rome. Rome not here no more.”
Lala: “I’m not taking the shot because of Rome. I’m taking the shot because he’s a good player, and because he’s a fan favorite, and because he gets too far and you won’t be able to get him out. That’s why I want to take him out.”

Taylor: “But you remember Jason said even he couldn’t beat him. And he said Devens is a player that you probably won’t be able to get out until Blockbuster is over.”
Lala: “Until you can backdoor him. Yeah, I thought about that, too.”
Taylor: “And he’s on the block, definitely, and there’s no way for him to get off the block. I thought about that, too. And he has a power.”
Lala: “I’m sure he does. I’m sure he has a power, and I’m sure Dee has a power.”

Taylor: “So that’s something to think about. Because even Jason said it. He’s somebody you can’t get out till Blockbuster’s over. You got to put his ass up with no way out.”
Lala: “Because you’d have to do a sure backdoor.”
Taylor: “He’s good at puzzles. He’s good at freaking everything.”
Lala: “I know. He’s a good player. He’s a good player.”

Lala: “But the only other thing I was thinking about was – because I didn’t want to put Barrett up, but whoever’s put up against Barrett, I know Barrett would be okay.”
Taylor: “Yeah, and if you tell him now, he’ll understand.”
Lala: “Because I was thinking about putting Barrett up as a pawn.”
Taylor: “Truly a pawn. And whoever wins veto – you win the veto, just take Barrett off.”
Lala: “Correct.”
Taylor: “You can let Barrett know that, just know you’re here as whatever.”
Taylor: “I think Barrett will be okay with that. It’s like, I understand.”
Lala: “I just made you a have-not and I’m putting you on the block.”
Taylor: “No, that’s horrible.”
Lala: “Yeah, that would be horrible.”

Taylor: “I already know Haley gonna come up here and tell you how Melody said your name.”
Lala: “I can’t even listen to none of that.”
Taylor: “Remember Melody said that she would put you up if she won HOH?”
Lala: “Yeah, I know. I know.”
Taylor: “Haley working hard.”
Lala: “Haley working real hard.”
Taylor: “You heard that in the kitchen? She was like, you can pick me if it’s only three and Taylor.”
Lala: “Haley plays this game. And that’s how she’s playing.”
Taylor: “Yeah, she’s playing alright.”

Lala: “Okay, this is what I was gonna do. This is what I was doing before. I was gonna put up Haley, Kamu and Barrett. And then if one of them pulled themselves off, I was gonna put up Devens. But make a good point by getting him out when there’s no other chance to get him out – when I can make a sure shot at him.”

Taylor: “So I’m thinking – he has a lot of social influence in the game.”
Lala: “Correct.”
Taylor: “He has a good chance at becoming HOH again as well.”
Lala: “Correct. Correct.”
Taylor: “So I’m thinking, because I really want to get Haley. You’re gonna make her the target this week right now?”
Lala: “I really want to get Haley out.”

Lala: “See, you know what pissed me off about her? When she came up in here for her HOH and all that bullshit she was talking. Don’t come up here and eat my snacks. You talking about stuff.”
Taylor: “She said don’t take a shower. You realize I ain’t take a – I always take a shower in the HOH from the last night. You know that, right? I always take it the last night before. And I ain’t eat none of her snacks. She made me drink that wine, though. I sure drank that wine.”
Lala: “You are so freaking funny.”
Taylor: “She brought it downstairs. She said, I can’t bring you this.”
Lala: “I ain’t gonna be like, girl, no.”
Taylor: “Okay, I’ll drink it.”

Taylor: “But you might have to backdoor her, too.”
Lala: “I know.”

Taylor: “When it comes to Kamu, though – did you make a promise to him up on the wall?”
Lala: “Mm-mm.”
Taylor: “Oh, you were just covering yourself?”
Lala: “Mm-mm.”
Taylor: “Because he probably thought that you was about to let go. So what you going to say to him for putting him up?”
Lala: “He put me up as a pawn. I’ll put you up as a pawn.”
Taylor: “But didn’t he say – did he tell you, if you need to put me up if you become HOH, it’s okay?”

Taylor: “Y’all gonna say what you want to hear. But see what information you can get. Honestly, you can have your mind made up on who going up. You honestly use this as a way to get information on people. Play a game and save yourself next week. This is the time for you to make those alliances. To, you know, solidify some stuff. Get information on who’s saying what about who, doing what, moving what. It’s really for insight. Because you get up here, you know who the hell you putting up.”
Lala: “Yeah. But right now I don’t.”
Taylor: “And that’s okay. But you don’t want to put up nobody who’s been constantly on the block.”
Lala: “Correct.”
Taylor: “So probably not Melody or Mallory. They’re the only two who been rotating the most. Everybody else only been up – me, Melody and Mallory. Two times at least, each twice.”
Lala: “I know. And that’s the whole thing then. Then it’s like going towards the other side of the house.”

Taylor: “So you have to sprinkle in – you might have to sprinkle in a Drew or a Yash. Or a Barrett, just to, you know.”
Lala: “Correct. Barrett’s easy for me to put on the block without me feeling bad about it. Because it’s not me trying to get him home. But I’m trying to think of who I want to go home this week, though.”
Taylor: “You know what I’m going to say, but it’s not my HOH.”
Lala: “Who?”
Taylor: “Haley.”
Lala: “Oh, no.”

Taylor: “And the house is already flipped upside down after this vote. That was perfect. That was perfect. They don’t know. They can’t trust each other no more.”

Lala: “Because Dee is like, f— you. And lied to her face. Like, lied.”

Lala: “She said, does Taylor have a problem with me? Because when you were saying about friends or something, putting something up, you were saying something. She was talking about the situation. I said, she’s not talking about you at all. Taylor loves you. No, she’s cool. All is well.”
Lala: “She’s like, okay, I was just making sure. She was thinking it was you talking about her and me being friends or something like that. And I was like, oh no, no, no, no, no.”
Lala: “What I’m saying is, the fact that Lyric came up here and threw Mallory under the bus.”
Taylor: “She did it in a way to save her ass.”
Taylor: “Sometimes you got to. Perfect example, when me, you, and Jason was like, okay, we’re separating so we can go get information. And I told you, I said, I’m just going to go around and be like, yeah, because I’m here. Lala’s driving people crazy.”

2:55 AM – Lala and Taylor (HOH Room)

Taylor: “She came up here and sold out.”
Lala: “Sold out. That’s so not cool.”
Taylor: “Not cool.”
Lala: “At all. Damn.”

Taylor: “I say put her up against – when it comes to next Thursday, make sure she’s sitting up. Once you backdoor her ass, make sure she’s sitting up next to people who can compete with her in a Blockbuster as well. Who’s good. Who’s good.”
Lala: “And I don’t know if Barrett’s that one. See, you may have to put Drew back up. I might have to put Drew back up.”

“I’ll tell Kamu he’s not my target. That’s what he told me. I’m going to play him the same way he played me.”

Lala: “You’re not my target, but I need you to sit there.”
Taylor: “Big Boy, I need you to know you’re not my target.”
Lala: “I need you to sit there.”
Taylor: “I need you to sit there. And we haven’t had time to talk. And trust me. Play game and, you know, build trust. And I heard some things, but just know you’re not my target.”
Lala: “Correct.”
Taylor: “You’re not my target.”
Lala: “And then I could say the same thing if I put up Kamu.”
Taylor: “Kamu, I’m just putting you up because you put me up. And I know we made a deal out there, but it’s honestly because I was about to give up and I was scared that you would put me up again, because you put me up before.”
Lala: “Correct. And you are not my target.”

Taylor: “And you can also tell them, always also say, I just also have to put you up to show that there are consequences for putting me up.”
Lala: “Correct.”
Taylor: “Because Mallory taught me that. She taught me that. I said, huh? She said, sometimes you got to put people who put you up, just to show them, show other people that you can’t just put me up and think you’re going to get away with it.”
Lala: “And it’s going to be okay.”
Taylor: “And the fact that you just showed your ass out there, you’re proving that you’re a competitor. So now people are like, maybe I shouldn’t just put Lala up. If she’s not the target, I’m not going to just put Lala up, because Lala can win.”
Lala: “Correct. And Lala can win big.”
Taylor: “Thank you.”

Lala: “So, if I put up Drew, Barrett, and Kamu, knowing that they are not my target – one of them come off, or I win the veto and give the veto to them, or one of us win the veto and take somebody off.”
Taylor: “Drew, Barrett. So you don’t want to put up Devens right now? You just said don’t. Yeah, because if you put him up, that might give him a reason to put you up later. And if he’s not the target right now, just leave him alone.”
Lala: “Correct.”

Taylor: “Who else could you put up there who’s a better competitor than Barrett, though?”
Lala: “Devens.”
Taylor: “Yeah, I guess.”
Lala: “But we also don’t know what Barrett can really do. Barrett was in one competition.”

Taylor: “Turn up, but don’t be solidified. Just hear everybody out.”
Taylor: “Haley already know what’s going on.”
Lala: “Yeah. Because she’s been trying to be so – it’s so funny. That damn voice. It’s so funny how she was a stone cold bitch. And even when she called you up, you’re talking about, what, one, two, and three? Bitch.”
Lala: “Ooh, I almost slapped red out her damn head. Okay, but then when you got to me – I said, don’t at me. Okay, see? But then when you got that video, what happened?”
Taylor: “Completely. Don’t play with me. She lucky I’m on national television. I keep saying that. Because if we was outside this house, girl, I don’t care how much bigger you are than me, child, I will. Yeah, she playing a game, but the way she switched like that, I was just like. But she gonna go home.”
Lala: “Oh, yeah. Oh, without a doubt.”

Taylor: “And if she don’t go home, unfortunately, Kamu might have to go home, because he’s a good competitor, too.”
Lala: “He’s a very good competitor. He’s a very good competitor. So Kamu go home. And they’re going to start coming after me, because now they see I’m a good competitor.”
Taylor: “Yeah, they’re going to come after me, too.”

Lala: “But Angela is a good shield, and Dee’s a great shield.”
Taylor: “In what way?”
Lala: “For us. To help divert attention.”
Taylor: “Because as long as they’re here, people are probably – we could just say, why y’all letting them slide under the rug?”
Lala: “Correct.”
Taylor: “I can see that.”

Taylor: “So, Drew. Kamu. And Barrett.”
Taylor: “But don’t tell none of them who the target is.”
Lala: “Don’t tell what?”
Taylor: “Don’t ever tell them who the target is.”
Lala: “No, not at all. I’m just going to say, you’re not my target.”
Taylor: “You’re not my target. But just know, they’re all going to talk and they’re going to all say, well, she told me I’m not a target. Well, she told me I’m not a target.”
Lala: “Then I’ll tell Kamu he’s not my target. That’s what he told me. I’m going to play him the same way he played me.”
Taylor: “And just tell Barrett the plan is to pull you off with veto.”

Lala: “Keep going back and forth. That boy, he just be doing -“
Taylor: “I think he going to calm down.”

Taylor: “Alright, now listen to everybody tomorrow. Just listen, because you might hear some information that might be like -“
Lala: “Correct.”

Lala: “I’m not washing my hair tomorrow. I don’t have the energy to wash my hair.”
Taylor: “You ain’t wash it?”
Lala: “I just rinsed it. I don’t have the energy to do it.”

Lala: “I’m going to go downstairs and get the rest of it. I’m just bringing my bag upstairs.”

Lala: “You sure you don’t want to sleep with me?”
Taylor: “No, I want you to enjoy your bed. Because I definitely thought, I said, that’s why I didn’t want you to be on half nights. No, I want you to enjoy your bed. Stretch out, butt naked.”

2:53 AM – Haley, Kamu and Chuk (Have Not Room)

Haley says Angela voted out Melody.

Haley: “I know that for a f—ing fact.”
Haley: “So my very first vote, when I had to vote somebody out, I got twisted. I voted Ashley out. I see how it could get confusing.”

Haley goes on about Lyric being nervous that morning, and thinking she got a penalty vote for eating.

Haley: “I guess you’re panicking. I was a little nervous. Well, she was panicking a lot. But why else would you go tell Mallory all these things that you said, if you thought you were going to stay? When we all confirmed her.”
Haley: “I think maybe she got a penalty vote on accident. Which would make sense. I really do. I think she voted Mallory.”
Haley: “Or she got something with, like, not a power, but maybe she was the one that got something. And it was, like, the one, the bad one. I don’t know.”

Haley: “But I do not trust Devens at all anymore. And I f—ing don’t trust Barrett.”

Chuk says Barrett’s excuse for the vote was that someone changed it last minute.

Haley: “I don’t trust Barrett.”

Chuk: “And I told him. No sense.”
Haley: “I told him and I said, if it doesn’t come from me, that’s not true.”
Chuk: “And I put Devens on the spot in front of Dee, because I just wanted to say, hey, Devens, you usually know who told you what. Like, who was it? And he kept saying, the other side of the house. And I had to tell him, dude, there’s only three people.”
Chuk: “And don’t give me that bull crap saying, I thought that’s where you guys were going. You know how we operate. We talk about everything.”
Chuk: “If it was like they had six people, then I understand.”

Chuk: “So I was downstairs with y’all, upstairs with y’all playing checkers, rehashing everything, and he was pointing down at Angela and Dee, and he said, they’re all f—ing lying, if they voted to pick Melody. And then he talked about a Yash convo two, three days ago, saying Lyric – you mentioned Lyric.”
Chuk: “I’m gonna say that to everyone. That’s all of us.”
Haley: “But he was in the room. He wasn’t in the room when you said it. It was Barrett. It was – I can tell you, it was Devens.”
Haley: “Devens, Dee, Barrett, Angela, you, me in the bed.”
Chuk: “But needless to say, basically, I’m telling you, I heard him out. I bring things to your attention. I always make sure I bring things to your attention, right? Just because if someone feels, hey, this motherf—er’s lying, it ain’t swaying my mind at all.”

Kamu: “Dude, I was honestly really pissed though. I was like, everyone thinks I’m gonna be, like, the first one down because I’m a stronger guy.”
Chuk: “Dude, you lasted a long time, bro.”

Chuk: “But if that’s what we’re gonna vote on, let’s do it. But the fact that we had another vote, and someone from our core went on the other side, that brings up the stress. That’s the fear.”
Haley: “Yeah, I’d do that right now, but I have no idea. You know what makes sense, is we all threw it out there.”

Chuk: “She ain’t going to sleep anytime soon.”
Chuk: “Yeah, I need to sleep on it. Sleep on it. Because, like, everybody says something different. All I know, like, the only thing that I know is how I voted.”

Haley: “I think she’s gonna press you for people about who said what about me to put me on the block.”
