8:40pm – 9:30pm HOH room – Barrett talking to the cameras – After Today’s veto meeting I think I am like royally f**ked if the people that .. the person that wins HOH is not named Drew or Melody. Like seriously. But like I could have guessed that.
Its been really fun being HOH. Its been really fun destroying a final five alliance that could have definitely made it to final five. Its weird as that is to say.. but I don’t know if I wanted to get to the end of this game, I didn’t want to get there that way. And that might sound really dumb but I have to be happy with the game that I played. And sticking with the ICONS the entire season wasn’t going to make me very happy. But now Dee or Devens .. hopefully .. unless something happens .. something really weird will go this week. And I can feel pretty good about that. But then got to hope Melody or Drew wins HOH because anybody else and I might be f**ked! Angela wins HOH, I am f**ked! Dee or Devens wins HOH, I am f**ked!
If Devens has to go the the jury house with LALA that is going to be really fun but if I go during the double its not going to be funny anymore.
Barrett talks about how he wishes he knew if Dee’s power really does protect Angela and Devens. I should have just bluffed and said I knew what the power was.

There’s that whole ceasefire where all the newbies are not gonna target each other. I don’t believe that for a second especially if Yash is here. I’m not going to agree to the ceasefire. Well, I’ll agree to it, but I won’t honor it. Which makes me a liar. Again. Wwhat’s new. This week’s been tough, honestly not ideal but it’s not me. I’m Top 7, trying to be top 6 at this point my winner pick is Yash. It sucks cuz I’m playing this game with it another winner pick
You gotta play this game week by week. Don’t count the kid out, kids still trying. Could have been an easy week. Right now majority alliance is the icons, 1 of them going plus Taylor and Yash, they definitely have like some sort of deal going on which isn’t ideal. So I’m stuck with Barrett and Melody who, get really close in competitions, as do I not and we don’t win. That’s a problem if you want to stay in this game.

So glad an “ICON” is guaranteed to go home. Dee’s being such a bad sport about it and I hope it’s her butt going out the door. She sure is a sour grape for someone who has already won a MILLION DOLLARS on Survivor.

Barrett make it clear he didn’t put up the icons as as game move. In fact admits keeping them was better for his game.. He put them up because he knows they are better humans than he is and was jealous. Barrett proved he is not a person that can be loyal or trusted because he has emotional issues about his self worth.. Weird guy. He really screwed up what was a decent season with his personal issues. Him and mean girl Melody. I guess I’ll just have to come to terms that BB will never be what it once was. Lower my expectations.

Oddities.
Taylor believes she orchestrated the flip in week 4. looks left, looks right.
No no sweetie, you were supposed to be the cover vote. LaLa was supposed to be the vote they used to hide their own votes. You inadvertantly created the situation where the Red Corner split up…. but you didn’t orchestrate that intentionally. Barrett got you to vote to evict Lyric over Melody on behalf of the xovers. You orchestrated nothing.
Shakes head. If she’s pinning her game moves before jury on that she’s going to get really confused crickets from the jury.
She COULD have used LaTrice’s HOH as making a move without having power… but she let Kamu comandeer that away from her.
She COULD have used getting LaTrice to bus Melody to Haley during Haley’s HOH as a move… but Taylor STILL ended up on the block. All she did was save LaTrice from sitting next to her.
I’m cognizant of what she’s done for the last weeks. I’m just looking at the game from the perspective of… what does that buy her in a jury that has already formed the impression that she’s a sleepaway camper emphasis on sleep.
The impression the jury has of a houseguest plays a lot into jury vote favorability. Given most of a jury Taylor would argue in front of thinks she’s had the urgency of a pillowcase… isn’t going to help. And putting out her perspective which is wrong to that jury, given they made the moves she claims… not good.
yeah, i have a lot of difficulty finding a scenario that taylor wins this season, but i said that about ashley last season so never say never. i think if she goes to the end with barrett or melody she probably still has an outside shot as while i don’t think taylor’s doing a good job making friends, barrett and melody are putting themselves in a position to make enemies which could cancel that out. i still think barrett or melody win over her though, and it seems very unlikely she could beat yash, drew, or any icon.
All that aside, Taylor’s jury votes will still be ok, as long as she’s sitting next to Angela in the final 2 chairs.

So which of them is comp beasting out to get to final 2? Given I don’t trust Block buster as anything more than Production manipulated drama with predetermined outcomes…. and Taylor’s veto was… a bullshit comp. I really gotta wonder…

i don’t think it’s in taylor’s best interest to put him up either, but i feel like it’s possible the icons pull her in.
ultimately yash is still throwing. devens and angela really haven’t proven themselves at comps (nor has taylor). so that leaves drew, melody, and dee as the only possible hoh winners with dee possibly not even there. so i don’t think barrett’s situation is that bad.
That’s a lot of assumptions.

Half of my brain expects a reset button to fall through the ceiling. But.
The other half of my brain knows storyline has one winner that needs a jury control.
I seriously still believe one member of the Icons was supposed to leave in Haley’s spot.
There is no way 2 2 hour episodes were used to honor the passing of Haley. That makes zero sense. Just like a 3 day feed block (cancelled after less than 2) makes no sense for a Haley turfing. If it smells wrong from a production standpoint… It’s wrong. So I still contend the pink pages were drafted because Haley was given a heads up that her behavior might be highlighted in d/r. I think she quit by competition. Do I have proof? No. Does it make more sense than 4 hours to bid HALEY a farewell? Yup.
So we’ve been righting the course ever since. And HERE we are. With 2 more 2 hour episodes coming up next week…. one being the double… the other being whodafuq knows.
I’m partially shocked they cancelled the 2 hour that was supposed to be THIS week and moved it to NEXT week. That to me indicates the pink pages and storyline alterations have been going on since they announced the episode list and the episode list changes. So… in my mind the first Stunt was to leave in Mid-Evil times necessitating a 3 day feed block and 2 2 hour episodes…. and the second was SUPPOSED to leave next week with 2 2 hour episodes. Does that not sound MORE like something a writing department and storyline editors working under Grod would do? OF course it does. But here we are.
Right now we have:
2 stuntcasts staying and targeting Barrett and Drew.
5 newbies in a Ceasefire alliance that is actually only 4 newbies… and an Icon sycophant.
3 members of the ceasefire are targeting each other. Drew is after Yash is after Drew and Taylor wants Drew out.
(Classic take out one of the 3 heads of the hydra… then turn your back on the other 2 mentality that usually happens in protect a pet seasons).
FAP has a final 3. Yash and Taylor have a final 2. Yash is pushing for a final 2 with Barrett. Gotta tell you… I have NEVER been a fan of multiple final 2’s. Why? If I’m a juror that had a final 2 with a finalist and my ass is sitting in the jury house… guess who doesn’t get my vote if i find out I wasn’t the ONLY final 2. Is that petty? No it’s accountability.
Thus far Angela is safe in a vote. Thus far more people would vote out Devens than Dee. OF COURSE THEY WOULD. Sideye. ALL THREE ARE NOPE SO I AM NOT GIVING OF THE SHITS ABOUT IT.
From a STRATEGIC Gamer perspective… keeping Dee and Angela or Dee and Devens together is stupid. That means Dee should be the one cut if i’m putting myself in the shoes of any houseguest looking logically at how the three move and are tied together.
That’s just reason.
But hey, the vote is being driven by a misogynist only comps matter guy (Yash… what you forgot of his bro-down opinions about women? I didn’t) and it is being seconded by people with zero game relationship to Devens. No really, Taylor and Devens have had ZERO relationship since she saved him on LaLa’s HOH, and he didn’t save HER on the Dee HOH. And Melody? She has not forgotten that she was promised a veto used on her, the promise was backed out on… because Lyric flirted with babyvoice. Oy Gevalt. He has built nothing with her other than giving her a nickname she hates (Ody) because he couldn’t be arsed to remember anyone’s names for weeks. No really, that’s why he called Mallory Pipe Queen and why we heard him calling LaTrice LULU for two weeks. But he remembered the name, hobbies and particular hates of every bro. I’ve always thought there was a reason EVERY single hate-on and borderline ism comment was said with complete comfort around Devens. It’s like the bro-down types just know he’s safespace for trash behavior. Just think about it a second. Who is the audience predominantly when the trash flies out of a houseguest’s mouth. Devens nine times out of ten. And he joins in much of the time. mmhmm.
So looking at this week. The houseguests expect a double on Thursday. Nope. not until NEXT Thursday. So does that change the mechanics of what anyone is planning? It is shifting, but originally the plan of Yash, Melody and Taylor was get out the other Survivor in the double. Then the plan was Yash and Taylor target Drew after the Survivor is gone. WAS the plan. It is shifting. Barrett and Drew are the target of the stuntcasts. Nobody is targeting Angela. Taylor’s current plan is to nom Drew and Dee and if one wins veto, renom the partner of the one still on the block. What could go wrong? Actually plenty could go wrong. They think 3 noms ends this week. not sure about that.
Taylor told Yash the plan is Dee and Drew. Melody or Angela renom… and if they have to do 3 noms Barrett. How’s that Ceasfire look on a Taylor HOH?
Yash plan if he doesn’t throw HOH is Drew, Melody and Barrett renom Taylor. Again… Ceasfire problem. right before a double. Sideye. And that’s how a couple stunts squeak through to the final five. Considering how long feeds were down for their party today… i’m wondering if there was a production notes meeting before the festivities. SHHHH. We’re aware they have production notes meetings. Season 21 taught us that. Of course season 21 also taught us that an addict in full cold turkey withdrawal isn’t a problem for production… they’ll just keep pumping in watermelons, and turn the have not room into a rehab suite. blink blink.
Your theory about Haley’s leaving makes so much sense. It was a perfect way for her to leave on her terms as well as a fun way for production to punish her without the public knowing that they were punishing her. I’m not referring to her having to compete 3 times to be sent home but to compete 3 times in that horrible heat. You could see she was really struggling during the second comp, the third was worse & that’s when it was decided not to even have the third & let the winner decide who went home. Either production decided that making Haley compete one more time was too dangerous and an insurance liability problem or Haley finally just gave up. Either way she was out.

For what little it is worth: don’t forget Drew has already said he will out the ceasefire deal if he has to to save Deven..standard Drew behavior.
Although, it’s not impossible, but Taylor winning a comp for HOH or anything else..highly unlikely. Melody would like to win a comp before she goes but she does not need to since Drew or Barrett will save her and all three of them know it. Maybe Melody was right.. “it’s written in the stars” she will win or written in production notes…
Think about what Drew proposes. If Daddy is in danger, I’m gonna tell on the neighborhood kids. What does that do? It doesn’t save Devens. It just cements that everyone including Melody targets Drew. Drew seems to think that because his game is built on fear of playing in the open… so is everyone else’s. At 8… cards are pretty much on the table. Drew squealing just proves Drew is not down for the cause and cements him as public enemy number one.
There is no way I see a Melody win. She would have to win HOH and target Drew to get any respect from Dee as a juror. She would have to win HOH and target Dee to get any respect from FAP as a juror. Most of the jury would still think it was someone else’s plan and she was coerced. The perception of jurors is hard to overcome.
While I think she has had good reads of what was going to happen weekly… and she’s had reasonable at best ability when it comes to socially networking… not enough to win based on being a social gamer.
Her best bet to a jury btw would be to be dragged for 2nd place and tell the jury her strategy was to suck so bad she got dragged to second place. Think of a jury having to weigh that she got her other finalist to do all the heavy lifting while she consciously sucked. got zero blood, and not once had to even try to win a comp. How she could pull this off is she had Barrett telling her who the alliance’s target was every week. When it was Drew she knew. Anyone but me throry suggests she used her social connections to her advantage while putting forth zero effort and letting the other finalist take the heat. THAT is her ONLY argument at this point… and even then it’s 70/30 at best.
Maybe production writes for the stars.
I think production wants a survivor to win in order to increase their fan base.. A survivor sitting next to a newbe fight to the finish final two keeps surfacing.. Maybe Dee and Yash. The smart person to get rid of is Dee. But these newbe floaters are way too busy with their emotions to allow game play to mess up their victimhood entitlement’s excuse to win the cash. Maybe why they were picked to play.. I agree the Haley exit was strange.. I think she was suppose to stay but Barrett messed it up sending in Yash. If I’m right then we can expect a twist this week to save both survivors and Angela goes to jury.

Melody has been a disappointment. She gives Drew a hard time about being spineless and not standing up to the icons. What about her? How come she never gives the icons any pushback at all herself? She spends all her time badmouthing Drew to anyone who will listen (Taylor and Yash). She’s made Drew and herself bigger targets than the icons.
She’s using her sex appeal to play and use Drew. She admitted it. He’s young. Easy for him to be fooled by a pretty girl who shows an interest in him.. . Lyric also used sex appeal to try and control. Guys do it to so I guess it’s fair.

It’s not premature, because Angela and Dee for sure would have target a male anyways. Yash can not win HOH. Melody and Taylor have won nothing. Barrett should start kissing up to Devins, because if he can convince him with Drew and Devins are his ideal final three. Then he just has to worry about Angela if Dee goes home. Angela hasn’t been much better than Melody or Taylor. He needed to strike first and he needed to make a move to win. Now was the time. But yes Barrett being HOH puts a target on you from someone….relax.

Dee plans to play more selfishly. sideye. Is that physically possible? She rambles off things she has done to poor Yash… and part of me thinks she could place ANY houseguest’s name in there if she were truly taking accountability for backstabbing. She isn’t. This is just another Dee trying to corrective reset her image camera talk. IMO her image wasn’t good to begin with but hey, you be you toots.
To Yash she plays up that she can win comps and help Yash to get rid of the big bad Barrett and Drew. SO who gets rid of her? Nobody. mmhmm. Buses Drew.
Devens is campaigning to Yash and Taylor. He once had a good relationship with both, but dpov and treating the Taylor alliances as a joke sorta screwed that for him.

Big bully D, and that Devens guy who LOVES to hear himself talk, oh, and don’t forget about their lap dog with his furry little head -I would be climbing the walls and ready to self-evict! I think those newbies who are left should get double their stipend for putting up with their self-inflated egos all summer, especially since there is less of a buffer without the other houseguests. Gone are the days when this show was decent to watch. Bummer
Now that it is assured that one of the icons is leaving, I hope it is Angela who gets the boot. She’s a do-nothing whiner who has been protected by Dee and Devans this entire game. I would like to see competitive players who are capable of winning challenges during the final weeks, not crybabies with no resume to present to the jury. There are some good competitors fighting for their BB life. Let’s get rid of the deadweight (Angela).
