Quick Big Brother Spoilers
Head of Household: Dee
Nominees: Mallory, Taylor, Yash, AShley
POV Players: Barrett, Melody, Dee, Mallory, Taylor, Yash
POV Winner: Mallory
Veto Ceremony: AShley nominated
Havenots: Chuk, Drew, Haley, Rick, Taylor

The first Power of Veto Ceremony is in the books. As expected, Mallory used the veto she won to pull herself off the block, forcing HOH Dee Valladares to name a replacement. Dee went with Ashley Trail — the “easy to put up” renom the house had been buzzing about all weekend — over the safer, more-connected options. That makes the final Week 1 nominees Taylor, Yash, and Ashley, and it leaves Dee’s original target, Mallory, completely safe.
Nobody’s locked in yet, though. This week runs under the returning BB Blockbuster, so one of the three will get a live shot to save themselves before Thursday’s eviction. Right now the house feels like it’s leaning toward Yash walking out the door, but with a Blockbuster still to come, that’s far from settled.
Quick spoilers: HOH Dee · POV Mallory (used on herself) · Final noms Taylor / Yash / Ashley · Eviction Thursday after the BB Blockbuster.

3:30 pm LALA and Taylor
Taylor names the short list of people she thinks would put her back up if they won HOH — and it’s only three.
Taylor: Drew gives me that he’d just do it — “you were on the block already, might as well go up again.” Ashley gives me that too. And Devins. Them’s probably my only three I feel like might put me up.
She wants to work with Devens but can’t get there — and it comes down to how he dodged committing.
Taylor: I’d love to work with Devins, but I don’t know if I can trust him. He knows how to play this game. Last night I told him “I’d love to work with you,” and he goes, “we don’t have to make a commitment right now — let’s just build trust.” That’s a smart thing to say… but that’s exactly why I’m scared of him.
If Taylor lands the next HOH, her targets are clear — the two returning players.
Taylor: Devens and Angela would be up on my run.
LaTrice: And that backdoor Haley. Who’d be your third?
Taylor: Haley. If you’re backdooring Haley, you put somebody up just to put somebody up — a pawn.
They land on who the pawn would be:
LaTrice: Somebody would have to be a pawn… probably Melody.
Taylor: Like Drew or Melody.
They think Mallory is a going to be a comp beast
LaTrice: That little sucker right there is a beast. She’s a sleeper. And the thing is, they’ll sleep on her and let her get far.
Taylor: She’s got a badass mentality, too. She ain’t scared. She’s proved herself enough to know she’s not going home — so we need to stop trying. Just leave it alone until later.
Taylor: If you put Mallory up, you know she’ll win the veto.
Taylor: Against Devins and Angela, Haley probably wins the Blockbuster — unless it’s a puzzle.
LaTrice: The Blockbuster is usually a puzzle, not a physical challenge.
Taylor: But Haley’s not good at puzzles — she’s good at physical stuff. So maybe Angela wins it. I can see Angela winning a puzzle, she’s into scrapbooking and stuff like that.
LaTrice: That’s what she won her season.
The “mama war”
LaTrice and Angela — Taylor calls it the “mama war.” LaTrice waves it off.
Taylor: And then, oh Lord, that’s when the mama war starts.
LaTrice: It’s not going to be a war, though. My whole thing, bottom line, is: I like you. That’s my rationale.
They turn to the current week’s numbers. Taylor’s tallying who she’s got, and LaTrice adds one.
Taylor: I feel like I’ve got Mallory, but I’ll double-check with her.
LaTrice: You definitely have Rome. I have no reason to lie to you.
Taylor: Rome might not be lying to you — I told him myself I’m not even going to ask you about it, I don’t want to put you in that position. But if I find out Rome lied to me, it’s going to be a problem. I think Yash is under the impression he has Chuk and Rome.
Taylor caught Devens giving himself away when she asked for his vote:
Taylor: When I asked Devens for his vote and he was sitting right there, he turned bright red. I’m like, why are you getting flustered? Like you’re in an alliance or something, and me asking just put you in a position. And Dee’s sitting there looking at him — because as HOH, you go with the HOH. He turned bright red.
She also coaches LaTrice on timing — don’t spook the votes early:
Taylor: Don’t ask Rome again until Wednesday, damn near Thursday morning.

4:28 pm Drew and Barrett
Barrett says the only person he’s solid about wanting to stay is Taylor. Neither of them want to win the Head of Household but Barrett brings up they will gather a lot of information if they did.
Drew – I don’t think we should risk it but I don’t think we should tell the three of them. They are more worried
B – They should be, especially Dee should be more worried she just put up four people she put up a quarter of the house.
Drew – who would you put up?
B – I think people would force my hand to put up Chuk, Haley and Kamu.. I don’t care to put up a Rome to be honest.
Drew – Me neither
B – I don’t see Lyric as a threat at all. She may be playing a great game for me to say that but I think she’s doing exactly what she planned on doing.
B – we’re in a good middle spot
Drew – you, me, Mallory and ….
B – mmmmhmmmm

5:00 pm A Slurpy Showmance

5:15 pm Happy Birthday to JUJU “happy 9th birthday” (Devens kid?)

5:17 pm Muscles
Rome – my dad’s biceps are bigger than mine.. it’s all genetics..
Lyric – wow
Rome – He’s a monster… Upper half.. (dad) not a big leg day guy
Rome – Like for my girl to be like educated… Yeah. That kind of is like my family’s mantra. It’s like, the women are women. Beautiful, beautiful ladies. And the men are like the handy guys. Blue collar dudes.

6:00 pm Barrett and Taylor
Taylor explains that when Dee nominated her, Dee was apologetic and felt bad about it — so much so that she let Taylor choose who she’d be up against.
Taylor: When she put me up, she was very apologetic. She felt really bad. So she was like, the least I can do is put you up against somebody you want to be up against. So she let me choose.
Barrett: She does what I asked her. So I was right, thank God.
Taylor also drops a key piece: the idea to put Melody up originally didn’t come from Dee — it came from Yash.
Taylor: I found out that the idea of putting Melody up was from Yash. It was Yash.
Barrett: When I was in here yesterday, that’s what you were talking about —
Taylor – Yash was the one trying to get one of them to go up.
Barrett – That seemed weird to me.
Where the vote’s heading
They walk through the block math. The read is that Yash is the one most likely to go Thursday, and Taylor’s hoping she doesn’t even have to sweat it.
Barrett: I think she was leaning Yash to go on Thursday.
Taylor: Between me and Ashley, it might be harder for people — so some would rather deal with me and Ashley than me and Yash. Or it might be Yash and Ashley. I’m hoping it’s Yash. I’m hoping I don’t even have to worry about it.
Barrett: Even if Yash wins, I don’t think you have anything to worry about.
Taylor: When I talk about Ashley, I don’t have much of a real relationship with her, and everyone else seems on the same page. At the very least, if I’m the one saying I’d do Ashley over you, maybe that sparks everyone to agree on it.
Working the votes
Taylor recaps who she’s touched base with. Melody started a conversation with her and seems inclined to keep her; Drew agreed to go with the house.
Barrett: I talked to Drew earlier — I pretty much said “anyone but you,” and he agreed.
Taylor: Really? I was a little worried about Drew. He’s like the little brother — you don’t know what he’s going to do, but you can’t even be mad about it, so you just let him do whatever.
B : I think he’s chill to go with the house this week. And I think that’s what the house wants. If anything changes, I’ll let you know.
B: I appreciate that. You my pay bae.
Taylor: Aw, you my bear bear.
The “cool kids” theory
The heart of the conversation: both of them are convinced the trio — the ones Mallory called the “cool kids” — have been running around dictating names, and that they’re the ones who started the “littles” trio talk to deflect heat off themselves.
Barrett: There’s some people that are real confident
Taylor – and because they’re so confident, they’re blowing their own game.
B – everyone is seeing that
Taylor: When you had everybody’s ears saying the same thing, nobody can trust you. There’s no sense of security when it comes to you for anybody. The cool kids .. them three
Barrett: That’s what Mallory called them last night.
Taylor: They’re cool.. they give like highschool.
B – when you are the cool kids trying to push people’s names and dictate
Taylor – I think they’re the ones who started that stuff with the “littles” — to deflect from them three. Put the eye on a different trio. But if anything, it just made it worse.
Taylor: Chuk was in my group, Haley was in my group, and Devens and Dee already had a connection from Survivor — so I think they probably did push me.
B – I wouldn’t be shocked at all. they hand out in the yard every damn day just the three.

6:08 pm Angela and Haley
Both of them read the house as roughly 50/50 right now — Angela literally counting heads when Haley walks up. The recurring worry is the numbers: one keeps trying to tally her side and coming up a little short.
“I feel like it’s half and half now. I see two halves.”
“I was trying to do the math and I was coming up short, short a little bit — and that was scaring me a little bit.”
Jason’s loyalty
Haley had a strong day-one connection with Jason, and he opened up to her in a big way — “he told me a lot, a lot, a lot.” Jason even told her she’s his first real person in the house and would never be his target unless a twist forced his hand.
Haley: He told me a lot today..
Haley says Jason thought Angela had gone quiet on him because he and Haley had gotten close — which Haley waved off hard Angela – “you can’t read into that, I’m so tired of that
Angela and LaTrice started on a warm first page, but Lala’s pulled back and gone watchful the last day or so. They chalk it up to her maybe just being tired — and to the general vibe that everyone’s watching everyone now.
Haley – I can’t believe I get to eat tomorrow
Angela – I know
Angela – I see it being half and half right now .. I see two halfs..
Haley – I know that no one’s really with Yash. It’s a facade. I think it’d be half and half between Taylor and Ashley. But I’d go Taylor — I already promised it, and I’m keeping that promise. I like Ashley more, though. She’s less of a threat in the game, not the jury house
Angela thinks there is a big alliance going on.
Haley – which end of the house
Angela – the people that like to work out in the gym alone.
Haley – I’ve clocked that.
Angela – People get summoned to all go meet at places… I watched it happen today. Unless I’m being paranoid — which I told myself, don’t be paranoid this time.
Angela – my goal is to have fun and make connections. Protect the people I feel will protect me.
Haley – You are my strongest girl, Chuk is my strongest guy, Kamu is my second strongest guy and DEE is my second strongest girl.
Haley tells her Dee is with her “But she’s kinda working the field a bit”
Angela – you already know I’m with you

7:30 pm they’ve been playing around in the backyard for awhile.
8:30 pm Chit chat throughout the house.
Alliances and Showmances
The vets’ group is being called the Crossovers (Dee, Rick, Angela, Barrett, Drew), and they’re deliberately recruiting “parachute” side-allies — non-vets to use as public shields and decoys. On the other side, a new group’s formed: Mama’s Angels — Rome, Jason, and LaTrice. And LaTrice going against Angela rather than working with her is turning some heads. Kamu and Chuk are floating in the middle, trying to keep shields around themselves and watching the gender numbers.
Rome and Lyric keep escalating, and Lyric knows the spotlight on them is a liability — she keeps saying she needs to cool it, but isn’t actually doing it.
Not who I wanted to be the renom.
An Ashley or Taylor eviction would be a wasted HOH week. Yash is the only HG who needs to be evicted ASAP.
Why ? You do realize Ashley and Taylor have no game in place at all and are just there to be on TV. People don’t want to listen to two females with poor emotional control running around the house screaming hysterically. It just looks bad.
Lmfao , no. Ashley or Taylor needs to go.
The Blockbuster is the worst twist. I think they were hoping it would add suspense or anticipation or drama, but in my opinion it does none of those things. The noms cannot or do not actively strategize or campaign for votes b/c to a degree it is a moot point until the Bb is decided which does not happen until literally minutes before the vote. It also further takes the element of strategy and planning away b/c the noms are too reliant on the thought of safety from winning it. Having the comp on eviction night does nothing to add to the show. They have to choose comps that are quick which only makes it feel rushed not suspenseful and exciting. (In fact if memory serves correctly there were actually a couple of times where Julie made comments that led me to believe someone was telling her time’s a ticking we gotta get this done.) If they want to continue with the Bb I think they need to have the comp sooner, like the day after Veto. That way they have more flexibility with comps, they can be longer, but they still have a comp segment to add to eviction night which they will have time to edit for maximum effect. Then we can watch the winner rejoice and gloat in their victory and the other two scramble for votes.
The Bb like many other twists they have done has the potential to create drama and impact the game, but it’s mishandled and misused so in the end it doesn’t really do much. The vibe too is also like whoever wins got default safety so it doesn’t really help them game wise. Just ditch it already and then maybe there will be some good game play again.
blockbuster definitely kills a lot of strategy, but also if you are nommed this early, you are dead man walking. even if you survive, everyone thinks your time in the house is tenuous and they aren’t looking at working with you long term. you need to win comps to prove your worth and blockbuster does allow you to do that.
so i view the blockbuster as a mixed bag. i don’t like how it makes backdooring impractical because the backdoor still has way too high a chance at safety, but backdooring was already way too overused as it was (if your plan a is a “backdoor” and your plan b is the backdoor’s closest ally, just front door them so one is guaranteed to go). but it does allow targets to prove their worth in comps without needing to resort to praying they don’t get backdoored while they’re put in must win hoh’s only to get backdoored the following week with no chance at safety if they do win hoh. i think the limited veto slots does necessitate some mechanism to earn guaranteed safety and the blockbuster accomplishes that, but i do wish players had to mauever to earn that safety based more on their understanding of social dynamics rather than an arbitrary comp (this doesn’t mean getting everyone to like you, but i’d be okay with players getting an edge for knowing everyone hates them).
You are right. They seriously need to consider ending the Block Buster. It basically stops you from completing a successful backdoor plan. I think the producers imagine that viewers watch the show for the competitions, but that is not what Big Brother is about.
When it comes to Blockbuster, I am no fan.
There is much less point in watching feeds for game purposes from Monday night to Thursday. Most weeks last season campaigning did not exist.
Want to pull a six finger plan or a backdoor? … well damn. Big oops. Want to get rid of a physical threat? Better hope it is word association or puzzle week on blockbuster and that threat can’t do it.
So it inhibits campaigning. It inhibits waffling votes. It inhibits strategic targeting. Yay?
Tinfoil me? don’t ask.
IF they are determined to have a Blockbuster, it should occur on Wednesday taped and be shown on the eviction episode so that there is at least a condensed flurry of campaign strategy and plotting. The here take five minutes to campaign to the house thing is weak sauce.
