7:57pm Backyard Hammock – Devens and Barrett
Barrett – I don’t know if I was talking about this with Drew or maybe it was Dee this morning, but it’s like I was thinking about all of these players that I’ve loved over the years and thinking about some of them and being like, oh sh!t, I’ve lived in the house longer than they did. And that’s like not, I don’t think I’ve understood that yet either. Devens – Like that’s
crazy, like, we all outlasted Tucker.

8:15pm Backyard – Upper Level – Dee, Angela, Taylor and Lala
Lala talks about how she can’t go back to work at the store when she gets out and how she needs to do some collabs because she needs money.

9pm – 9:30pm Bathroom – Melody and Drew
Melody – I am so mad you f**kers kept Taylor over Mallory. F**king hate you guys.
Drew – Who are you mad at?
Melody – All of you.
Drew – Everyone that voted her out?
Melody nods.
Drew – You should be at everybody, not just me.
Melody – I am. But its different from you.
Drew – I unfortunately didn’t matter when.. I wish I voted to keep her. I wish it was 5-3. Do you believe that?
Melody shakes her head.
Drew – why?
Melody – Because you didn’t do it.

Drew – Do you just miss Mallory? Melody nods. Drew – Now you get to talk to Taylor, Yash and Lala. Melody – I like Taylor and Yash. They’re cool to talk to but they’re no Mallory. Drew – What about the tall guy and the other one. Melody – they’re cool. Drew – But you don’t like talking to them? Melody – No I do but they just don’t like talking to me. Drew – what do you mean? Drew – the tall guy loves to talk about you all of the time. He has so much fun. I can’t speak for the other one though.
Drew – are you going to be this sad when I go?
Melody nods.
Drew – No, you’re not. You’re going to celebrate.
Melody – Yeah I am. Who am I going to talk to.
Drew – Yash and Taylor. Your squad.

10pm Backyard – Drew, Devens and Barrett
They’re talking about the beginning of the season and about Chuk. Drew – My favorite, I have two really good Chuk stories.. like day 2 or 3. He comes up to me and goes can I talk to you upstairs? Let’s play some checkers, because that’s when you know he’s going to talk strategies. When you’re playing checkers with him and he goes a lot of people didn’t like you those first two days because you were really loud and annoying but you’ve turned that around. I want to be the first to tell you. Good job ..and I was like.. Thanks, man. Really. Thank you means a lot.

10:40pm The house guests are hanging out and chatting about random things like survivor and tattoos. Taylor says that she will get her future husbands name tattoos on her lower back (tramp stamp) Lala – NO DON’T! Taylor – I would. Yes, I am. Lala – Don’t do that!

I hope everyone realizes that Devens leaving is only at about 20% realistically, right?
If he wins block buster… safe.
It is Monday and d/r has said something to Barrett that pissed him off earlier today.
He left a d/r in a grump.
If it happens… expect Dee to somehow take credit for it. I mean it was the plan as of a week ago, and Devens was the specific target Barrett had in mind in his convos about rebellion with Drew over a week ago…. but nothing on this season can happen without credit being given to Dee or Devens. Roll the tapes of the episodes. The edit is so pro Dee and Devens that they have 20-45 d/r more than their closest competitors in count… and Dee has 100 d/r more than LaTrice. If that doesn’t tell you just how tipped the season is…nothing will.
Dee is already noting that if Barrett flips…. it is Drew’s fault. Because of cooooourse she is. eyeroll.
Drew and Barrett know the full bribe. not sure HOW but they both know the bribe covers the three stuntcasts.
I’m not sure what Melody knows of the bribe. I thought she was told by Yash. I KNOW Mallory was told by Yash.
A rancid case of entitlement today. Angela noticed the toilet was dirty. She brought LaLa in to see how dirty it was. Angela then USED the facilities, and left it dirty for LaTrice to clean. Think about that. just for a second.
We’ve definitely had a prodonotes meeting regarding the WAY in which the Entitled Bash the Nobodies. There is still some insult happening… but it is sanitized now. Definitely cleaned up by prodo. Even Drew is saying… less.
Note. for the first time all season, nobody is flocking in the HOH room unless they HAVE to. In fact, the HOH has to seek out people to talk to elsewhere because ain’t nobody want to be in that room this week. Why does THAT happen? An HOH is not a valued houseguest when the HOH room isn’t the room to be in anymore.
Minority opinion: Melody has not been an NPC in the game.
She was the first one to get the lowdown on the big alliance from Ashley. She used that information to her benefit. While Ashley leaving wasn’t optimum for her… neither was being the bottom of a 10 person alliance like Ashley wanted her to be. (Sidenote… The Tools turning on Ashley still makes no sense, because Ashley did what Drew, Dee and Angela instructed her to do. She just didn’t get the result they wanted so blamed her for the result). Anyway. Melody. what has she done in game? She pushed for the alliance of Giggle Girls to form, quickly realized Lyric would flip and pivoted to getting closer with Mallory to Drew and Barrett. Melody was the driving force for creating FAP.
SO… WHY is Melody a non-entity? Because of WHO she trusted. Every pivot she attempts ends up with her being bused by an ally. She aligns with Rome… and Rome outs their alliance to Devens. When she was trying to pull in Taylor and LaLa as a pivot… Taylor instructed LaLa to bus Melody. Taylor herself drove three buses over three week in the Melody express. Then there is Drew. Bused her interim allaince with Jason. Drew is her final 2. Her blindspot of alllll blindspots. 75% of everything he ratted to the stuntcasts was Melody related so that it looked like he was working hard in his ratting.
Dee told Melody this. Barrett told Melody MORE.
So. Not NPC. Bad Intuitive game that has sunk her weekly. Bad Judgement. Spent so much time on the bottom she doesn’t actually strive to be above bottom.
Can I support her? no. Why? At this point… she’s a dinghy with a slow leak bobbing in an ocean of sulfuric acid. She’s still saying too much to people she knows will sell her out.
BAD PLAYER, NOT NON-PLAYER.
devens realistically should only stay if he wins blockbuster. which makes it a 67% chance he’s leaving. the vote should be 4-2 with barrett and melody pretty hard sells to get to flip because of how badly dee bungled the mosh pit alliance. yash and taylor/lala i don’t see flipping.
still barrett and melody have to keep their intentions on the dl until post-blockbuster because if devens wins and an icon wins hoh they would become the target.
I’d put the percentage higher expecting the blockbuster to be something Devens is familiar with.
The blockbuster will be an intelligence comp. First person with 3 correct answers wins. Question- “Name Deven’s favorite Survivor winners”
Hahahaha, good one.
IF Grod DOESN’T meddle in the Blockbuster: 67%.
IF Grod MEDDLES in the Blockbuster: 0%.
Grod: Macy’s is hiring.
It is Monday. We have watched votes and targets shift EVERY week. With this particular cast… It is never simple. That has to factor into the equation.
Given Blockbusters… and short quick comps being more survivor style this season… and given that Devens is a stunt… That has to factor into the equation.
Time until vote, game pattern of targeting, blockbuster being Grod’s playground, and then a successful vote where ONE of the two next to Devens has a higher chance of not keeping the votes? I stand by the current call of 20.
As time passes and every avenue for shifting decreases, that humber can go up.
I find they all talk a big talk during the week but when it comes to voting, the cave to the weak little people they are. They have to vote the way of the head of their tribe is telling them and that is Dee and, she lets Devens THINK he has some power of persuasion. Barret was probably grumpy because production probably told him under no circumstance is he or anyone at all allowed to vote out their (Jeff’s) precious Rick Devens. Devens went on Survivor TWICE and LOST twice
Spot on. Will they have the guts though. Jealous Barrett rubbing his hands together as he lives in Melody’s friend zone while destroying his BB game. He may do it as he already hinted at it to her.
For Devens to survive an eviction vote, no one can claim it’s not because of production rigging it, there will be no mask to hide behind.
Exactly!
i like devens but i still kinda hope he goes this week. dee really screwed the icons by turning on mosh pit, but it was informative for understanding the differences of how alliances work on survivor vs. big brother. on survivor an alliance is a voting bloc aimed at a specific target. on big brother they’re shields to bus when you don’t have power. dee made the mistake of busing shields when she had power and is now becoming increasingly exposed.
ultimately though i often find the first juror sets the tone for the overall bitterness of the jury, and to this end i like devens as a first juror way more than taylor or lala because i don’t think he’ll be all that bitter.
What game moves have Devens and Dee made that did not involve production or using threats and intimidation?
Exactly!
None.
No f**king kidding ! Jeez.
Hopefully Devens doesn’t win the block buster and gets voted out. That would finally open up the game to the non-icons. I liked Devens and Dee on Survivor, but on Big Brother, with a lot of help from production, they’ve acted like entitled mob bosses. I also wish they would quit letting former players play with newbies. It always affects the new player’s games. They always, for whatever reason, idolize those from past seasons. And, if they want former Survivor players, why not have a season with 16 former Survivor players. That could be interesting.
IF the cast were ALL Survivors or Amazing Racers, that would be a fair fight worth watching.
About to crash.
Anyone ELSE weirded out?
The current cast OUT OF 9:
3 Stuntcasts (Dee Devens Angela)
2 alternates (Taylor and Yash).
who left the clown nose in the glove compartment?
Gen Z problem-solving:
Step 1- get upset.
Step 2- cry about it.
Step 3- blame someone else.
Step 4- do absolutely nothing to fix the problem.
Step 5- wonder why the problem is still there.
Sad, but true.
Melody making cruel comments about Angela’s appearance is pretty rich when Angela is +1 in comps and she is -1. Maybe worry less about someone’s face. The scoreboard doesn’t care how much you swear.
The -3. What exactly do you think insulting someone’s appearance is? Apparently calling out the insult is worse than making it. I feel sorry for you if this is what you find acceptable.
Me too.
Who knows about the bribe deal? Do Drew and Barrett know that it’s a save for all icons or just for Dee?
Yash will have more incentive to win HOH than anyone realizes, because he can control his own safety while keeping the deal. If he doesn’t win, someone will decide whether he is useful. The problem?
Solution ownership. We need to get an Icon out > But what if they stay? > What if they come after me? > Maybe someone else should do it. > repeat, but…
Barrett is a radical in the circular paradox because of his strange obsession for Melody and Mallory.
If Devens doesn’t win Block Buster – Melody, Barrett, Yash and the winner of the Block Buster NEED to vote him out.
Bad for Barrett
IF they want to have ANY chance at winning this thing, they SURE DO!
Do I care if he wins? Not really, as long as he played a great game. This decision coming up is pivotal. I think the key flaw in wanting Barrett to vote out Devens right now is that people should be looking at what actually gives Barrett the best path forward, instead of who should be evicted. Barrett doesn’t need to vote out Devens to have the numbers. If he keeps Devens, the Icons have the majority and Barrett can continue sitting between both sides. If Devens goes, Barrett has openly betrayed the Icons, and if Dee or Angela wins HOH, he’s an obvious choice. That’s a terrible risk when all Barrett has to do is not vote out Devens and preserve his middle. Unfortantely, he can’t get his mind off the Mellory!
On the big move of taking out the Icons because he thinks that’s his jury moment. He doesn’t need it. Keep Devins and he can get to F2 with someone like Melody, Taylor or Lala and he can argue he played both sides all season without ever exposing himself and win it. Even against Yash, he may have a shot. Against Drew he could even win because Drew has pissed everyone off. Does he win against Drew and Dee? I would say so with all his friends he didn’t piss off in the jury house. He’s in the best position here.
If he votes Devens out its all gone. He loses that protection and suddenly needs to win comps against guys like Drew, Yash and Dee. He was warned not to go against the Icons and with Devens in the jury alongside possibly Dee, Angela, and the others? Barrett is dead in the water. This is the biggest opportunity he has had to set himself up, and he’s either going to look terrible or a much bigger player. If you’re a rare Barrett fan, this is why it’s bad for him.
Drew is getting completely sucked into Melody’s gold-digger behavior and doesn’t even realize she’s playing him. Sure, it’s a game, but the knowledge to use this tactic comes from someone who’s clearly used it many times to get what she wants. With others who deserve the praise, I could take my foot off the pedal, but coming from one of the most unlikeable people in quite some time, it’s pretty easy to find her disgusting.
“pretty easy” indeed.
Even if she could be called pretty, the constant cursing, meanness, flirtation strategy and general nastiness completely cancel that out. She even admitted she’s not a nice person. I’m honestly baffled by what type of person could like her.
Simon, If Yash wins HOH & nominates a professed icon, does the bribe go back to Dee & she can use it again on someone else?
Well, the show called her an icon first so she could profess this… Good question!
It’s a lock that Grod will enforce the agreement he made when he accepted the bribe. That means production will not allow him to nominate any of the 3 vets, the next time he wins HOH, unless numbers force him to do it.
It’s their game, and they make the rules, no matter how often they want to change them to benefit their stuntcasts. I wish he could “take it back”, but as soon as that fake gold coin changed hands, you knew there was no way production was going to let him do that. It is just way too sweet of a deal to protect their golden children.
He can’t go back on the bribe, once he accepted and by the rules of BB you can’t go back on it. BB will hold him to it.
Analysis:
who this time?
Let’s do…. LaTrice.
Intro to LaTrice for us is in episode. She wants the stunts out, especially Angela.
Feeds come on with multiple houseguests complaining about LaTrice. The complaints seem to stem from… her taking over kitchen duties as her realm of the house and her volume when speaking. So the house was mad she was designated cook… but didn’t just cook for themselves. Fine it’s an entitled asshole thing mixed with microaggressions about not knowing her place (3 houseguests in a talk calling her mammy and saying she didn’t know her place was enough for me to say…. oh we’re doing THAT this season?)
Statistically she has won the wall and a ridiculous veto that people are calling a major physical comp (it was 5 minutes of selective exertion… get a grip people calling this a demanding physical comp).
Strategically: She began with a love/hate going on with Taylor. I note this because Taylor was already saying she didn’t feel like putting up with LaLa one hour into feeds. LaLa’s next game relationship was with Rome and Jason. She was a true believer in the LaLa’s Angels ‘get the icons out’ propaganda…. while Rome was selling them out to Devens constantly and consistently. Once THAT debacle ended, she formed a bond with Angela (her most threatening? Icon for house positioning), and joined in an alliance called the Honor Society. It failed when Dee and Angela, greedy with positioning and unable to see personality clashes that had already formed, tried to shoehorn Haley into the group. She has not been in an alliance proper since. That was… early week 3. It’s week 8.
What does LaTrice do with power?
As HOH, LaTrice put NONE of her initial targets on the block. Remember her first impulse was get Devens out. She was talked out of that and into get Haley out by back door. She was talked out of that by Kamu, a potential nominee because ‘religious reasons.’ She was talked into nomming Chuk who was safe because of ‘racial reasons.’ She was talked out of Drew nom to put Haley up from the jump no backdoor.
So with Power…. LaTrice does what others tell her to do and does not do what is strategically in her own best interest.
What does LaTrice do with information?
As house chef and kitchen goddess… she should have a finger on the pulse of house movements. She should know who is with whom where at all times. Think Jun in 4. That is WHY she posted in the kitchen. God knows the food and the 25 pounds she gained in season weren’t the intent. So LaLa underutilizes her tools to gain insight.
When she IS given information? She runs it to the subject like a squealer, then tells the author of the information she has squealed. She fails to understand why people don’t want to give her full access to information due to this habit.
So.
Can I support LaTrice? no. She fails to use her chosen stategy (kitchen marm) to any advantage, she doesn’t know how to use the information she has, she fails to be vital to anyone’s plans and have a hand in MAKING those plans. When she has power, she lets others determine how to use it…. and complains when her choices aren’t followed. For weeks she was one of those ‘have to follow the HOH’s plan’ players… while she had no power or connection to the HOH. Winning a couple comps but has zero game insight or strategic plan. HOW can I support that.
I say this as someone that empathetically feels most for LaTrice because of how she is treated in the house. In terms of emotional, i support her BECAUSE she is the subject of so much house vitriol for no damn reason. BUT… in a game sense she’s a bit of a nincompoop.
That all may be true, but I still hope she wins BECAUSE of how horribly the rest of the cast have treated her(Angela & Drew—especially the 2 of you).
well… if she got her head out of her ass long enough to learn not to run to the opposition and tell them the plans…. she might feel more like a deserving winner. But alas… just like when she snitched her own rebellion meeting, she’s snitching the vote flip to Angela. So… what can I say? I feel bad for her… but play better.
Question about THE BRIBE: Does it just preclude Yash from nominating an Icon during initial noms, or can he also not renom an Icon after Veto?
the wording seemed to be keep all 3 safe for the week. meaning none touch the block.
i’ve attempted to loophole in my head and come up with a few viable semantics… but i doubt Grod lets that happen.
I mean…. okay. Today Drew asked Barrett if the the time capsule was rigged. Barrett mouthed the word yes. like we weren’t aware, but now have confirmation.
He can’t nominate them for the entire week he is HOH. So not initially and not after veto either
Oh shut the f**k up Melody.
BB’s finale is on October 1st. Thank God it’ll be over !!!!!!
