Quick Big Brother Spoilers
Head of Household: Rick Devens
Nominees: Lyric, ROME, Melody and Jason
POV Players: Angela, Barrett, Jason, Melody, Devens, Lyric
POV Winner: Devens
Veto Ceremony: Devens uses the Veto on Lyric and replaces her with ROME
Havenots: Lyric, Barrett, Rome, Kamu, Jason
The plan is still Rome — but a full day on the feeds shows a week with a lot moving underneath it. Head of Household Devens holds firm (“if he loses Blockbuster, he’s gone”) and Angela agrees (“I need him gone”), while Rome coaches Lyric on surviving the Blockbuster and selling himself as a shield, and Yash and Chuk pump Melody up for the same comp. On the living-room couches, Dee floats the day’s most interesting off-script idea — “I think Melody should go… over Jason, everybody hates him.” And in the gym, the trio the winning side keeps writing off as harmless “giggle girls” runs the sharpest strategy session of the day: a plan to steer the fan vote, a count already at five, and Mallory sketching a future HOH built to take the vets out — with Melody’s locked vote resting on a Drew who, as Mallory puts it, “is in love with you.”

1:00 pm Rome and Lyric
Post–veto ceremony. Rome, on Devens’s move:
Rome: “I wouldn’t have put you in this situation if it was that way.”
Lyric: “I know, but how were you supposed to know he was going to backstab you?”
Rome: “I didn’t. He even admitted it — it was a lie. It was huge. Like, ‘I told you I wouldn’t put you on the block… but I took Lyric off.'”
On himself:
Rome: “That’s why I’m so bold about what I do. I’m just a bold guy. I call my shots. And if I miss, I miss. But if I call my shots and I make it, that s—‘s awesome.”
On the vote and Drew:
Lyric: “Jason just asked me if I would vote for you or him. And you know I’m always voting for the other person. You are my baby.”
Rome: “I’ll do whatever it takes to campaign to have the girls vote to keep me. But if Melody’s sitting there next to me, that’s going to be hard.”
Rome: “Not Drew. If Melody’s sitting there, Drew’s going to want to pick her. And Drew has sway with those guys.”
The pitch he’s coaching:
Rome: “Why would we kick out Rome when he’s such an obvious target? He can shield so many people. People are gonna have eyes on him at all times.”
On Lyric’s ceremony speech:
Lyric: “Was my speech really believable? Are you sure?”
Rome: “You overdid it. And at the end you’re like, ‘that’s why you should take me off the block’ — like, obviously, you already said that.”
Rome: “You want a hook at the end. Something that sticks with people. Just for next time.”

Blockbuster mindset:
Rome: “I’ll be all right. Don’t worry about me. Confident in my ability to Blockbuster. I think I have strong allies. But only time will tell.”
Rome: “Do I look like I did the day Devens f—ed me over? No. I’m actually good.”
Rome: “It just gives me a chance to prove that I belong in this house. And if I don’t prove it, then I go. That’s all it is.”
The fallback:
Rome: “You can use it to your advantage too. If you’re sad, you can use me as a martyr.”
Lyric: “I don’t want to think about that. You’ve always got a game plan, babe.”
Showmance:
Lyric: “Every time I kiss you I get butterflies. I haven’t felt that since high school.”
Rome – I have feelings for you and I’m in love with you
Rome: “Keep playing your game. Don’t waste it.”
Lyric: “I’m gonna keep playing for you.”
Lyric – I love you so much
Rome – I’m not afraid to say it.
Rome: “I mentally prepared myself so long ago, because I knew I’d be put on the block — not just once, but multiple times.”

1:12 pm CHUK, Melody and YASH
On whether Devens planned it:
Yash: “I do wonder if it was his plan all along. Because he initially said it wasn’t.”
Melody: “It’s like you blew up his game. Like what the f— else are you going to do?”
Yash: “During the meeting — the non-meeting — he did say ‘I’m not going to put you up.’ But then he put up everyone he was associated with. So I’m like, who knows? Was it an act?”
Chuk pumping Melody:
Chuk: “Go win that Blockbuster, because I don’t think you’re the target. That’s the worst part — when you’re not the target, but you’re up there.”
Chuk: “There’s just that consensus in the house that I don’t think Melody’s the target.”
Chuk: “This game ain’t physical at all. We’re big guys, but… Big Brother has never been a physical game.”

Yash on comp psychology:
Yash: “Let them feel the pressure of the moment, because realistically you’re probably not the one going home. Use that to relieve your pressure — even if it’s a lie in your head.”
Yash: “When you’re competing, let them feel like they’re going home if they don’t win. You need to feel like, ‘I’m good regardless. F— y’all. I’m going to go in here and compete.'”
Yash: “The game of panic is also part of the game. Let them feel the pressure.”

Yash on winning his Week 1 Blockbuster:
Yash: “I don’t remember looking at any of their faces. I went to my strat, they went to the other screen. I don’t care what they’re doing — I’m doing what I got to do.”
Yash: “I learned from f—ing Fuzzy Navel that it’s better to be wrong and first than right and last. If you’re right and last, it’s useless.”
Yash: “The second I thought the answer was Mallory, I was like, fine, go — I’m putting that s— in.”
Yash: “Once I started running, I saw Taylor start running in the Blockbuster — that’s when I knew it was a race.”
Yash: “Believing you’ll be safe regardless gives you a leg up. You gotta get any advantage you can in that situation.”

1:45 pm Melody, Lyric and Mallory
Melody’s read:
Melody: “That’s why I’m literally f— everyone right now. But I think I’m in a good position. I’m just going to lay low the rest of the day.”
Trio, to Melody: “Mel, you’re in such a good position. I’m not saying you don’t need to campaign, but I’m 100% certain you’re staying.”
Melody: “I do need to campaign, because if I never talked game, people would be like, ‘so you really think you’re comfortable?'”
On Jason:
Trio: “Regardless of numbers right now, we want them to stay. But if that can’t happen, we can’t be on the wrong side of the boat.”
Trio: “I love Jason, but I just don’t trust him. Too much of a wild card.”
Trio, on Yash: “The whole Yash thing was our first sign… but I think Yash is tight with us. At least us three. I think Yash is rocking with us.”

On the Blockbuster:
Trio: “Best case scenario is Rome wins the Blockbuster… I want Melody to win. We know you have to vote, but we don’t want to rely on the votes.”
Trio: “If it’s a memory game, we got this. It’s going to be a tough battle — they’re both super competitive. We all have a reason to be mad as f— and want to stay.”
Mallory: “Going into the veto, I thought for sure Dee was going to win, because she won Survivor. And I thought Yash was going to be super good too. And then I ended up winning. So you never know.”
Mallory: “Especially with these Blockbuster things, it’s not skill-based — it’s like 90% chance. I was racking Yash’s brain: ‘give me all the advice you can.'”

2:11 pm Devens, Angela and Haley
The prank:
Devens: “I put a towel in the toilet. A hand towel.”
Haley: “I put the soaked one in the corner, and she went to the laundry this morning. She was pissed.”
Angela: “I think she’s going to know someone’s f—ing with her.”
Devens (later): “I chickened out. Let’s wait a little while — let her do it. A few days. Don’t make it too obvious.”
On Rome:
Devens: “I think he thinks he has a shot to get off with the votes, but I don’t think he does. If he loses Blockbuster, he’s gone.”
Angela: “I need him gone.”
Devens: “I do too. We all do.”
Jason’s campaign against Devens and Angela:
Angela: “I guess Jason’s going around telling people I’m the person everyone’s listening to — that I basically took over your HOH.”
Devens: “He’s still doing it?”
Angela: “That’s what Rome said he did, but I don’t know.”
Haley: “Jason was trying to game up with Devens, and you wouldn’t let him team up with anybody else. That’s how he’s saying you threw it. But you guys got a 73 — that was the highest.”
Devens: “I don’t remember him trying to team up with me.”
Looking ahead:
Devens: “You feel good about everything? … Obviously it’s going to be who wins HOH — and who wins the Blockbuster. We have a good shot.”
Angela: “Why don’t we have a lot of numbers?”

2:16 pm Angela and Dee living room
Dee opens on the target:
Dee: “I think Melody should go.”
Angela: “You do? Why? Over Jason?”
Dee: “Jason — everybody hates him. Everybody’s pissed off at him.”
Angela measures it against the room:
Angela: “It would be a shocker. You’d have to work a lot of people, because I asked Barrett and he said he wants Jason out.”
On keeping Jason:
Dee: “The only thing with Jason that would worry me is that he would put up Rick.”
Angela: “I know. And me.”
Angela: “I would be a backdoor, probably.”
Dee: “Never mind then.”
Angela: “Then we gotta rule him out if he wins.” (Rome, if he takes the Blockbuster)
Angela: “He’s being nice right now because he wants a vote.”
On Haley and America’s Favorite:
Angela: [Haley] “made a comment… she’s going to be America’s favorite.”
Angela: “Why do people care about that?”
Dee: “I don’t know why. Just f—ing be you and play and have fun.”
Angela: “Who gives a f— if you’re not?”
Dee: “It doesn’t mean people hate you. It just means somebody else is a favorite, and that’s okay.”
Dee: “So I guess, as a game, we gotta egg that on.”
Angela: “Egg it on, baby.”
On their own standing:
Dee: “We are so f—ed. Like, they are seething to put us up.”
Angela: “Just because they want to outplay us… they’re probably biting at the bit to take out a Survivor player or a Big Brother player.”
On the vote:
Dee: “It’s a toss-up between Jason and Rome. If Rome and Jason are sitting next to each other, it’s definitely going to be a toss-up.”
Dee: “This game is getting gamey.”
On the trio:
Dee: “Pissed off the cool kids, so you don’t even know where the cool kids are going… Those three are staying together. Three on one.”
Taylor joins. Angela lays out a four:
Angela: “Me, Lala, you and Dee should do something. We should be something.”
Dee: “Like in terms of voting?”
Angela: “Everything. Like everything.”
Dee: “Yeah, I’m not mad at that at all.”
Dee: “I already talked to all three of y’all.”

4:17 pm Haley and Chuk
Chuk opens on the state of the board, and likes what he sees:
Chuk: “I never want to look at a nomination and be confused. Having Yash at arm’s length helps me always know what’s going on on the other side of the house. But the other side of the house — there’s not really anyone.”
Haley: “Dee and I are like, it’s crazy that neither Taylor or Lala or Melody or anybody has tried to talk to us game-wise.”
Chuk, holding court on Taylor like she’s standing right there:
Chuk: “Taylor, you’re not giving me anything to work with, love. You’re not showing me what you can do to be an asset. Taylor, I already have a whole team — I don’t need you.”
Chuk: “You had us in a have-not room. We’d be talking and she’s just going back to sleep. If I’m in a have-not room and two people are talking — what were y’all talking about?”
Chuk: “Taylor said all that BS. Everyone was like, ‘I’m safe this week, I don’t got to do anything.’ Well — guess what now?”
Haley: “You ain’t working.”
On the showmance that supposedly ended:
Haley: “I knew they weren’t broken up. Look — f—ing look at them.”
Chuk: “I don’t trust Lyric a day in my life.”
Haley: “Put her up next week.”
Chuk: “Who else would you? Lala now?”
Haley: “I was going to throw Jason up there just so it looks like whatever.”
Chuk: “He’s a strong player, actually. Let’s change that. But we’ll talk with everyone about it.”
Haley: “I truly feel like I could win that s— next week. Lala, Jason —”
Chuk: “Mallory. Mallory’s a lost puppy. Why is she following Lyric around? Of all people. It’s f—ing annoying.”

The victory lap:
Chuk: “Good job, team. We killed it. Every week, we should always know what’s about to happen.”
Haley: “Bringing Devens home was a f—ing amazing thing. That was me. I said, let’s bring in Devens — and you guys were like, OK.”
On the long game, and Kamu:
Chuk: “I think we can take this thing so far. Every time we’re in a group, I look around — who’s with me, who’s not.”
Haley: “I feel like Kamu’s working for the jury vote right now — without even having a jury yet.”
Chuk: “He’s definitely always looking ahead. It’s still so early — but you still need to be looking really far ahead.”
Chuk: “Before we ever look inward, we need to make sure everything outward is gone.”
America and the twist, out loud:
Haley: “I think America will vote the winner this year. What if they don’t even have a jury house — it’s just America? They get to vote the first six weeks.”
Chuk: “They love Devens. We all love Devens.”
Picking their mama — Angela over Lala:
Haley: “Aren’t you happy we got the good mama? I was on the fence at first, ’cause I love Lala. But Lala said she wanted Angela out first round — and I was like, yeah, f— yeah. Now I love Angela. Since she pulled me to the storage, I think you and I are her favorite. Hands down.”
Chuk: “I love Lala too. Her stories resonate with me, just like Angela’s. But — I’m sorry, Lala.”
Haley: “Lala’s only ever looked out for herself. She’s on the island by herself. She thought she’d be the mom of the house and piggyback off people.”
No passengers:
Chuk: “I don’t want no floaters this season. Anyone who just skated by.”
Haley: “Taylor will skate. Melody will skate. Drew and Barrett will skate.”
Chuk: “For sure.”
Haley: “I haven’t talked game with Melody. I don’t even know how.”
Chuk: “We’re so early, but people are already like — if we haven’t talked game together, I don’t know that you’re with me. Yeah, I don’t trust you.”
Haley: “And that’s fair.”

5:11 pm Some chilling going on

6:45 pm Angela roaming around

6:47 pm The Littles |
Rigging the fan vote — coordinating the Time Capsule:
Mallory: “Who should we get in on our voting idea? Should we do me, you, Drew, and Lyric?”
Mallory: “On Thursday we’ll say, everybody vote for [one person]. That’s the best chance we have to keep someone else from getting it — like one of the Survivor players. They’re probably going to get it anyway.”
Melody: “I can ask Drew — hey, who do you think will get the power? Do you want it? — before I tell him what to do.”
Mallory, on the risk: “A costume’s not bad. If it was automatic eviction, that’s not worth it. The punishments are always something stupid — like that time someone had to make a pie every time a bell rang. It’s never something that really hurts your game.”
Processing the target on their backs — Haley’s “giggle girls”:
Mallory: “I wish we knew if Haley was pushing the trio thing, or if it was completely made up.”
Melody: “A little of both. She told me, ‘I’d call you three the giggle girls.’ Knowing her, I don’t believe a goddamn word she says — but I don’t think she’s lying about that.”
Melody: “It’s not like ‘the pretty girls,’ right? Sorry — we laughed, we’re 24.”
Melody: “Name one time the final three has been all girls. You gotta talk to guys, it’s a game. But girl, please — you were the one not coming over to hang out. We didn’t exclude anyone.”
Melody, on her own arc: “Day one I was hella tight with Yash. And I did not f— with Drew the first few days — I was like, this dude is annoying as hell.”
Rome’s pitch, and the vote count:
Melody: “I’m worried Rome’s gonna convince the guys to keep him. He told me, ‘I’m gonna rally the guys and explain that if they keep me, I’m a shield.'”
Mallory: “Why is he telling you this?”
Melody: “I don’t know. But I don’t think it’ll work. Even if he rallies the guys, Drew would still vote to keep me. Me and Drew are tight.”
Melody, counting: “You and Lyric, Drew, Taylor, Lala — that’s already five. I think we could get Barrett. I’d need one more.”
Melody, on the wild card: “Kamu would for sure vote to keep me, but he’s tight with Rome. He’s smart enough to know Rome’s a huge threat to his game — unless they’ve got a secret final two, which I low-key feel like they do.”

Working the HOH — locking Devens:
Melody: “Devens told me this morning, ‘I’m going to use the veto on Lyric,’ and that he’s been telling people, ‘we should keep Melody.'”
Melody: “I’m going to talk to him again — when people come to you for input because you’re HOH, and they want to vote with the HOH, I need to know for sure you’re saying keep Melody no matter what.”
Mallory: “Everyone I’ve talked to says you’re good — but that’s only been Taylor, Barrett, Yash. What’s the benefit of getting you out? Why blow up Rome’s game just to not send him home?”
Mallory’s future HOH — coming for the Survivor players:
Mallory: “What if I put up Dee, Devens, and Kamu — and I tell Kamu, ‘I don’t want you to go home, but you’re the most well-connected person in the house, and I just want a Survivor player gone.’ Do you think he’d come for me?”
Melody: “Make a deal with him first. Say, ‘because of the Blockbuster I have to put up three, I only want Dee and Devens, and I’m not putting up one of my allies.’ He’d respect that. Then — ‘people like you more than they like Dee and Devens. That’s just true. Even if you didn’t win off the block, nobody’s voting you out. I wouldn’t.'”
Melody: “He’d have to give something in return. Or at least fake give something in return.”
Mallory: “I want him there on the Blockbuster. Devens could convince people to turn on Haley or Chuk — but I don’t think they could do that with Kamu.”
Going into Thursday:
Melody: “I’m ready to rock and roll. I want to win that f—ing Blockbuster.”
Mallory: “I want you to win it too. I just want all of us safe. I’m scared to win, though — you win, then lose at the end, and you’ve made an enemy.”

Melody and Mallory More Gym and Drew talk.
Gaming the powers — and flushing Devens:
Mallory: “I’m not sure about Devens, because I don’t know if he’s gonna get this power. We have to flush his power anyway. If he has an extra veto, let him just use it — I don’t want him to make it to jury.”
Mallory: “Six powers is crazy. Six weeks is so much — it’ll be hard to keep track. We won’t even know if someone who got evicted had a power and left.”
Why keep Rome — the shield logic:
Mallory: “I want Rome to stay for a little while. I don’t even know if I believe what he says, but I believe he’d just attack the other side and not care about the repercussions. He seems like he wants to get his back more than he even wants to win.”
Mallory: “He’s a target on this side that isn’t us. If Rome stays, he’s the target on our side.”
Melody, still stung by the backdoor:
Melody: “I just want to know what Lyric and Devens’s conversations are like — because I was pleading my heart out to this dude. I still trust Lyric. I don’t trust Rome.”
Melody: “If he hadn’t used that veto, I would’ve been like, genuinely — what the f— Devens, what’s your motive? To get out one of the smallest threats in the house? Me or Lyric?”
Roasting Devens’s aw-shucks act:
Melody: “Him being like, ‘I don’t know’ — shut up, why don’t you know? And yo ass was fighting for that veto too.”
Mallory: “Yeah — if you don’t know, why’d you need it so bad?”
Melody: “And then, ‘oh my god, I’m just not good at this game.’ Shut up. One HOH, one veto, pulled a big blowing-up-everybody’s-game move — like, what you mean?”
Mallory: “You have a bunch of people trusting you for some reason, somehow.”

Resenting the coasters:
Mallory: “I hate these two weeks. Some people have had weeks of just not being on the block — and their friends not on the block.”
Melody: “Like Chuk. That motherf—er.”
Mallory: “Chuk, Haley, and Kamu. None of their friends have been on the block. Same with these icons — their two weeks here have been straight chilling. Our lives are hard.”
Scared of an Ashley:
Melody: “I don’t want it to be an Ashley situation — where I feel like I have the votes literally the morning of, and then boom.”
Mallory: “Ashley had no one prioritizing her game. It’s awkward to tell someone ‘I’m not voting for you’ — but I’d vote for you either way. Even if it’s one rogue vote, I don’t care.”
Melody: “Because, b—-tch, you got me f—ed up.”
Rome’s too much:
Mallory: “Rome kind of talks too much. His heart’s in the right place, but — chill.”
Mallory: “I do want him here over Jason. He’s a good guy, but you can’t stay too long. If you’re not Lyric… good luck. Good luck, Charlie.”
The Drew of it all:
Melody: “That’s why I kind of snatched up Drew. I was like, I’m gonna need someone to help me.”
Mallory: “The thing is — he’s in love with you. That’s the only reason I trust him a little.”
Mallory: “I just don’t trust anyone who hasn’t been on the block. What the f— are you doing? Mind you, it’s only week two. It’s really hard to earn my trust.”
Where it stands
One day on the feeds, and the shape of the week is clear even if the ending isn’t. Rome is the name the house is built around for Thursday — Devens says it flat (“if he loses Blockbuster, he’s gone”), Angela’s locked (“I need him gone”), and the whole board bends around one question: does Rome win the Blockbuster and send Jason home, or lose it and go himself?
The real story is the gap between the two sides. The winning bloc — Devens, Angela, Dee, Chuk, Haley — thinks the other side is asleep: nobody’s working them, Taylor’s checked out, the trio is a harmless set of “giggle girls.” But in the gym, that same trio is running the most detailed game in the house — steering the Time Capsule vote away from the vets, counting votes to keep Melody safe, and Mallory drawing up a future HOH to backdoor Dee and Devens with a soft-landing pitch to Kamu. The bloc that thinks it’s coasting is the one being measured for a hit.
Underneath, the lines for after Thursday are already drawn. Dee is quietly floating a different target (“I think Melody should go”) even with the plan settled on Rome. Jason’s pushing an anti-vet line that Angela secretly runs Devens’s HOH. Chuk and Haley want Lyric up next week and have picked Angela as their house mother over an isolated Lala. And two showmances are doing real game work — Rome and Lyric, who never actually broke up, and Melody and Drew, whose vote she’s banked precisely because, as Mallory says out loud, “he’s in love with you.” Thursday’s Blockbuster settles the immediate question; everything else is already in motion.
Dicey Devens makes a dicey move saving ½ of the “Lyme” showmance. And somehow the other reality TV vets approved of this?
Rome is the target for now and rightfully so, but my focus is getting Jason to win Blockbuster or survive the vote. It’s time to make Melody the backup target.
She’s a number for Lyric and the Pipe Queen, and evicting her would undermine Drew’s influence in the game.
I hope Rome gets another big win by winning the Blockbuster or this season is going to take a turn for the worst in Week 2…
While I like Devens, Dee, Barrett, and Drew, that side still needs to have strong competent adversaries.
Mallory has proved herself, Jason did when he, like Rome and Chuk, won one of the four way challenges for safety Night 1, and so has Yash when he won his Blockbuster comp.
But Yash seems to be swayable so I wouldn’t call him a full on adversary to the power side of the house.
Hopefully next week we see someone from that side of the house win HOH to spice up the game.
Yep. Rome leaving will not be good TV. We need him in there even though I’m not a fan. I would be if I were just an episode watcher. With the feeds AND LYRIC, his arrogance and corniness are just too much.
I dig the summary Simon. Really nice for when you don’t have enough time to get through the full update (you guys are very thorough).
Melody: “Name one time the final three has been all girls. You gotta talk to guys, it’s a game. But girl, please — you were the one not coming over to hang out. We didn’t exclude anyone.”
It has only happened once with Janelle, Ivette, and Maggie on BB6 so we are very much overdue for it to happen again.
But to be fair the same can be said for an all dude final 3 since that scenario hasn’t happened much with all three guys either.
Dan/Memphis/Jerry from BB10 and Enzo/Lane/Hayden from BB12 were the only times it happened.
Although it does have to be stated that it probably would happen more if a strong duo of dudes didn’t just drag an easy to beat girl to the final 3 with them. Adam/Ryan did to Sheila on BB9, Derrick/Cody did it to Victoria on BB16, Josh/Paul did it with Christmas on BB19, and Jag/Matt did it to Bowie Jane on BB25…
I’m honestly rooting for a Mallory HOH win at this point.
I hope Rome wins BB and Mallory stays in the vote.
I would not mind her winning HOH either. Someone on that side needs to finally make the other side sweat.
AT THE MOST, I can ONLY (currently) see a max of 5 (if Dee is counted in that) to get Melody out over either one of the guys. The only way I can see right now for Melody to go is if 5 directly want her out over one the others and 2 decide to give hinkey votes to cause trouble with the thinking she would not actually go…then oops she goes. The odds of that scenario are miniscule.
