Devens comments on how he is so psyched about the painting Angela did for him. Devens – I’ll probably get you to sign it at some point. Just like so they know who painted it. No, I’m super excited. I didn’t think you were going to paint me one. Angela – of course I would. You asked me to. Devens – It’s like a going away present. Like pipe queen. Angela – Stop it. Never! Never! Never! Devens – No I love it. Especially that its with M&M’s. Angela – if you know one thing about me from my season, I am very loyal. Devens – Oh I’ve got no doubt about you guys! I have no doubt about you guys and I feel really good about them so I think we’re all set. But I am also not going to give anyone the chance. So we are going to go get that DUB! And that will be fun. I haven’t gotten to do that yet. Angela – I think the main thing is just go in calm, cool, collected, hyped but in a good way like how Drew does. Devens – Totally. No I’ll be ready. Its just an immunity challenge. A very quick immunity challenge. Ready to roll! So that will be fun. Angela – yeah. And then the week starts all over again. HOH..
Devens – and once again, it’s our most important HOH. It always is. Angela – I know, I feel it. I feel like I can do it. I really feel like it’s going to be something tailored for me that I can do or maybe something I’ve never done before, but it just works for me. Devens – yeah, I’ll get that dub. Angela – I’ll try my best. Devens – You get that dub. We’ll have a smooth week, hopefully it’ll be just two people. Angela – I think so. Devens – Put up Taylor and Melody.. and backdoor Yash. Angela – It sounds just too easy though. Devens – I know, wouldn’t that be great? This is week 8. It’s pretty crazy. Angela – I know. Angela – The house is really quiet with this many people. Devens – And we still have more than half the people. Barrett joins them.
9pm – 10pm Kitchen – Dee and Angela are cooking. Angela – What are you putting the grease into? Dee – HUH? Dee – What’s wrong with pouring grease down the drain. Angela – Wait what? Dee – Why? Angela – You can use this, but we need a bowl. Dee – what’s wrong with the grease going down? Angela – The grease can clog it up. Dee – I’m glad you were watching over me. My two angels.

Melody – One more full day in your HOH room until its over and I take it over. Drew – you should, that would be really cool. Can I hang out up here still.. sometimes? You know right, I really do hope you take this.. you or Barrett. I would be really glad if Barrett did it. I don’t want it to be Yash. He is going to cook me. Melody – I don’t want it to be any of the icons. They’re all going to cook me. Drew – they’re all going to cook me. Melody – they are! I’m scared! Drew – Pressure makes diamonds. Melody – it better, I ain’t seen one yet. Drew – well you haven’t had any pressure yet. Not the right amount of pressure. Melody – I am going to tell myself that. I usually do perform really well under pressure. Drew – I just think there is just random stuff. Like it just depends on if you’re randomly good at something. Melody – yeah. But to be fair I think this is the most pressure I’ve ever felt under in my life. Like when you enter a competition like that and you know your life is on the line.

If Grod tailors the Blockbuster for Rick & the HOH for Angela, I’m afraid that will finish me for this season. I made it to September DESPITE Grod’s massive & constant cheating for her 3 expensive imports. I don’t think I can take any more of her bullshit this year. So, if Rick wins the Blockbuster & Angela wins the HOH, I’ll have to say hasta la Vista, baby!
There may be hope. If Dee is talking to Angela about Devens being evicted that means Prodo has told her which means it’s in the script rewrite and Dee will somehow get credit for it. We’ll see how they script it on the show.
it’s kinda hard to tailor the comp to devens. he doesn’t have an obvious skill set advantage over both taylor and lala. maybe just one of them, but both combined, it’s kinda hard to find a comp where he’d be obviously better as i think taylor is better than him at puzzles and lala is probably better than him at something physical.

All Grod has to do is give Devens the cheat codes, the way she gave Angela,(by far the weakest competitor of all),the cheat codes to beat 2 of the best competitors of all(Kamu & Hayley). Once Grod told Angela to sit on the vent,(which Angela repeated multiple times on the feeds),Grod’s desired result was guaranteed. If she can guarantee an Angela win vs Kamu & Hayley, OF COURSE she can guarantee a Rick win vs Taylor & LaTrice.
All Grod has to do is wish it so.
If grid did this she’d be in serious legal trouble. The courts give a lot of latitude to how much the producers can manipulate game actions, but competitions actually have strict specific language. It’s one of the few things production can’t significantly influence (the other being changing a contestant’s stated vote (how the contestant gets to that vote being another matter)).
They get around this somewhat by picking comps that favor skill sets, but production would have needed to provide Angela, Kamu, and Haley with all the same information. It’s very very likely kamu and Haley just didn’t listen and production preyed on their hubris
This is exactly why I don’t necessarily buy the production rigged the comp argument every time someone loses. There are actual federal rules around contests, and corporate responsibilities the company will adhere to this because of whistleblowers. Interestingly in all the reality shows ever made I dont recall ever hearing about a whisteblower (staff, or otherwise) saying they have proof it was rigged. Predetermining outcomes, with production choosing a competition that rewards certain skills is very different from secretly giving someone an advantage. Picking the template players (like the icons and log booms) as I suggested somewhere else, assist the producers to move the show in their direction. I agree, and sometimes the simplest explanation is that one person paid attention and the others didn’t.

As I said earlier, she already did this with Angela. Angela said so. On the feeds. Multiple times. I heard her say it. She said she “was told in d/r to sit on the vent”. She did. Hayley & Kamu didn’t. Because they weren’t told to. In d/r. Like Angela was. Which is why Angela beat them. In a comp she had no business winning. Because Grod wished it so.
It’s not the ONLY time this season that Grod has ordained the winner of a comp in advance. Just the most egregious.
She also did it in a mental competition between a rocket scientist, a corporate game show hostess & an idiot. Grod wished the idiot to beat the rocket scientist. In the mental competition. And
it was so.
Grod is in no legal trouble whatsoever for doing these things & many others too numerous to mention. Why? Simple. Because every contestant is required to sign legal indemnification documents BEFORE they are allowed to participate on the show.
Don’t confuse Big Brother with the Olympics. If Grod were messing with the amateur purity of competition of the Olympics, sure she would be in deep legal do-do. But, she’s not. It’s just a tv show. It’s HER tv show. She can & does whatever she wants. No legal jeopardy. Just a lot of frustrated fans who would rather see a fair fight than a “scripted reality competition tv show”, which is what BB, TAR, Survivor & the rest of them actually are.
So, once again, if Grod gives Rick(who I like)the Blockbuster cheat codes & Angela(who I very much dislike)the HOH cheat codes, I’m out til next year.

production does a lot of manipulation but the comps are actually one of the least rigged parts of the show. kamu and haley could otherwise legit sue and shut down production. their nda’s don’t matter if the contract was invalidated by illegal rigging.
Hold on.. as predicted from the start ( those of us who know Dee from Survivor) she plays to win and she didn’t get her reputation by playing emotionally. Dee is talking and has convinced Angela of voting Devens out if he loses BlockBuster as well. She said it was Devens own fault for volunteering. If that happens and it will if he loses, Dee noticing Barrett’s “change”flips everything. Drew will gravitate more to her and once again Dee gets closer to the win. As many predicted from the start, Dee will be in the top three or the winner. It all seems.. so ..well….predictable, which takes some of the fun out of the game. Who would be surprised that Dee would cut Deven first chance she could do so safely. Deven knows but he played her game anyway.. why?
Dee is definitely ready to cut Devins. He was an absolute idiot to volunteer. If he hasn’t learned what a backstabber Dee is, he deserves it. You can see her thoughts churning in her head – she is ready to chop, chop. I actually like Devins and wish it was Dee up there. But he was a fool and is going to face the consequences trying to ride all the way with her. He should have never offered his DPOV to her and kept it for himself. She would probably be out and he would have had a better chance to get to the end. Dee’s Mallory massacre last week really turned the tide, but somehow, no blood on her hands. WHY is she not on the block! I want her gone more than anyone. Devins, you fool.

Nope. It’s Dee and Devens til the end. Rick will not go to jury on Thursday, they will just pick off the others until they have to fight against eachother. It’s the safest way to the top 5. I really want Dee to go, I didn’t like her on Survivor and although she’s a little better, I don’t like her on BB either.

For those of us who DON’T know Dee from Survivor… did she get unfair advantages on that show as well?

Survivor doesn’t stack the deck in favor of anointed ones the way Grodner does on BB.
She was a combo beast her 1st time on Survivor: 1) comp beast & 2) cutthroat social beast. That’s how she won.
On Survivor50, her competition got rid of her early to avoid letting her have a chance to do it again.
Grodner made sure the new players had no chance to do that to her on BB, because Grodner wanted to get her money’s worth.
Dee won Survivor 45 by being cut throat. If you enjoy a cut throat style game play then Dee is just the person you pay attention t. If Deven loses the BBuster tomorrow it’s curtains for him becuase Dee’s “spidy sense” is up and she knows something is off . She has already worked Angela and they will vote out Deven too so no blindside but i hope it open up Drew and Barrett”s eyes more . Dee is safe because ,if by some miracle Yas wins HOH, he can’t nominate her. Like she told Angela,”if you have a chance to take a shot you take it,” and this is her chance to take a shot at Deven’s if he loses tomorrow night.
Well because the “icons” are all paid “actors”to be there and more or less given special treatment and given things to do and say.
The competition could have something to do with who can lust after Dee the best. Devens would win. He has forgotten about his wife. He mentions her when he goes to vote only to keep up appearances. He would never have used his DPOV on his wife, but he used it & saved his Dee even at the risk of needing it himself the next week. Dee is a younger, prettier, faster , hot & spicy latina, versus his plain Jane wife who resembles Gargamel from the smurfs & he feels like a hot young college jock when he’s around Dee.

This year’s interference by prod is the worse it’s ever been and they aren’t even trying to act like they aren’t involved. I’m not so naive to believe that there isn’t interference in reality shows but it would be nice to think there is some chance for it to turn out other than what they want. It must be so frustrating for players because they have to know the winners are predetermined or at least orchestrated.

It has not been in years. A state supreme decision (i think wisonsin) right when season 21 started took care of that. Big Brother and other reality entertainment competition shows are now listed as reality entertainment programming, not beholding to folllow game show rules. People that sign contracts to be on these shows are no longer considered members of the public, they are employees of the production.
Calls for fcc investigation since have had the same response. Reality entertainment programming is not a gameshow, therefore production has every right to manipulate and fix and rig anything they desire for storyline.

Devens. I half expect Devens and Dee will be showing distrust in Drew and Dee worried that the guy she targeted twice will come for her.

I know there is a lot of Icons haters, but seriously do you think: Melody, Yash, Taylor, Lala, Barrett and Drew deserve to win? Honestly at this point I was rooting for a Dee vs Devins finale and let the two giants fight each other out. I want people who are worthy of winning winning. Not people who hid in the grass all season long hoping the other side would not pick them off that week. Let last season’s winner.
Comments fool people. The loud minority posts, while the majority who like Dee or Devens just watch the show and move on. Reading comments it looks like the majority hate them when its the complete opposite publically. If you like a player you usually don’t keep repeating I like them.
Devens game is performing for the camera in D/R and cam talks while Dee keeps sabotaging her own game, they are not better players than anyone else in the house, they are just being promoted by production to convince TV viewers they are worthy.
Barrett’s game play is starting to gain my favor. He’s aligned himself with the right people (the alleged icons), but at the same time he’s refusing to stay loyal to them to the end. He’s walking a fine line, but if Devens does indeed get evicted, he may have set himself up very well. He’s played a low key game thus far, but now at mid point he really needs to make some moves and he seems to be willing to do that.
“Deserve” is a judgmental word. I choose to answer your query differently than you posed it.
I definitely don’t think that Rick(who I like), Dee(who I don’t like) & Angela(who I detest) have earned any victory they may receive. The advantages they have unfairly & intentionally received from production have nullified and made them “unworthy” of any “victory” they may end up with.
As a result, to me, the ONLY contestants that could fairly & truly be called the “winner”, when all is said & done, would be those who did NOT receive those unfair advantages.
If ANY of the previously evicted houseguests were to be brought back in, via a battle-back competition, they would be fairly called the “winner”, if they were to end up winning.
If ANY of the remaining non-icons were to somehow end up winning, they would also be fairly called the “winner”.
BUT, if Rick(unfairly), Dee(unfairly) or Angela(disgustingly & unfairly), end up being called the “winner”, it will be both a travesty & a mockery of what could have been fair competition.
To specifically address the names you raised, ANY of them would be more “deserving” & “worthy”,(using your terms), than either of the 2 you chose to single out as “the only worthy winners”, since those 2(and Angela)were the only 3 to receive massive & constant cheating from production on their behalf alone.
So, yes, ANY contestant, OTHER THAN THE 3 ICONS, would be more deserving & worthy than ANY of the 3 icons.

The only people I see who should be capable of winning are Devens, Dee and Drew. The rest of them are like gutter rats in the BB book.
I thought part of the reason Devens volunteered was so Dee and Angela wouldn’t have to go up. Won’t he be surprised when Julie says “ By a vote of 6 to 0, Rick Devens, you have been eliminated.”

Yash is considering eviction of Taylor in a LaLa Taylor situation because…. even when she is giving effort it looks like Taylor is not even trying. Don’t say but her veto. WE ALL KNOW THAT VETO IS BULLSHIT. Prodo pulls out that particular style of comp when they can’t come up with even an individual time comp that would be believable. ARE there comps Taylor could do well at… sure. Are those comps the others would do BETTER than Taylor at? Also sure.
Dee and Angela are ALSO considering Taylor over LaLa. Because they can manipulate LaLa too. So can Yash. So could Louise the cat. Manipulating LaLa is not the problem. Getting LaLa not to run what you said to the people you were talking about…. That is LaLa’s gift that keeps on giving to everyone’s lament.
As extreme as it may sound to say this, I would still rather have confused LaTrice represent this season’s cast as the winner THAN ANY OF THE 3 ICONS.

NO Fricken way is GROD endangering Dee this week. IT’S CALLED FALSE ADVERSITY. Like her one time on the block only being permissable because of the diamond pov. False Adversity. Like rigging the first contest in the Medieval Times to be a comp Dee excelled at on Survivor. Like only stunts being able to compete for first HOH. Like Devens HOH partner getting him through his first played round when the herd had been culled by 50% before he had to play… and then the sharp shooter taking a rather obvious dive so that Stunts could cement their hold on setting season game tone. The BUT Devens tried to throw stuff. sideye. Yeah…. then why did he shoot for a high hat after she threw off? It was just the two of them. when she flubbed he could have ‘accidentally’ aimed for the 6 lower numbers on the way to his winning number. no really 6 numbers in the same adjacent path were lower. lighter touch… even her oops is negated. He wasn’t throwing. That’s prodo feeding lines for drama and covering that of course the intent was for 2 weeks of stunt safety before the diamond pov was given… meaning at least one MORE week of safety…. and add the ridiculous bribe that c’mon now. who accepts 3 people safe or you’re going on the block against a bunch of people you’ve been beating in every comp for the last 3 comps running… threaten him with a good time… and… he takes the bribe that means the stunts are only in real danger at THAT time, from 3 people that have won a total of 3 comps out of 14 at that point in the game (blockbusters excluded).
Stunt seasons blow because when everything is lined up and looked at with rational logic and reason, removing all sentiment, the seasons are more manufactured.
