Summary – Veto is being used on one of the girls. Rome is going on the block. If Rome wins blockbuster Jason goes.

11:49 pm Kamu and Devens HOH
Kamu: “You’re still down for the backdoor, right?” Devens: “If he’s up, we vote him out. Yeah, I think that’s the best move.” He’ll warn Rome without fully committing: “I’m going to give him a heads up that that’s probably going to happen. I can’t tell him it’s definitely going to happen.” On the broken promise: “He’ll be like, Devens is a liar. He lied to me, which is true. I had told him after I won HOH, like, you’re good. I’m not nominating you, even on renoms. And I believed it — at the time, when I said it.” His plan is to own it directly: “I’ll tell him, dude, you’re right, it’s a lie. I’m sorry. It doesn’t matter if I changed it. But this is what it is.”

Vote math: eight in Tool Shed, Devens can’t vote as HOH, seven left — majority once the two nominees are removed from the other side’s numbers.

Who goes home — Jason or one of the girls
Early instinct was keeping Jason since “he has nobody.” Kamu turns it: “With the exception of Rome, who will be up there, who is most likely to win power? It’s Jason.” On how close he came to the veto: “He had the puzzle figured out. He stepped back and looked at everything.” Devens: “Rookie move.” Kamu, on what Jason could do with power: “I could easily see him being like, screw those guys, I want freaking Devin, Haley, Kamu.” Devens: “Jason is the only person that poses a threat. Why would we keep him?”

Kamu lays out the rule: “Rome first. And then Jason.” Devens: “I agree.” Rome loses the Blockbuster, he’s gone — “the easiest thing in the world.” Rome wins it, the guy still goes over the girl either way.

Melody, Lyric, and Rome
Melody, per Kamu, broke down in the hot tub with him and Dee: “I just feel so stupid. I’ve just been getting played… I want to play Big Brother.” Kamu: “Lyric told me last night that she was planning on completely disassociating herself with Rome altogether. From any sort of showmance, but even from any sort of game.” He walked in on the two of them directly: “I went to walk into the Have Not room, and Rome was laying down, and Lyric was sitting up, and Lyric was just crying… I opened the door and then I closed it. I was like, I’ll give you guys space.” Lyric found him later in the shower: “I feel really bad because… he’s got like nobody, his whole game is blown up and now I’m telling him that I don’t want to be associated with him anymore.” Kamu, the next day: “Today though, they seem like nothing ever happened.”

On Melody: “She’s got a mean streak.” Devens agrees, and the two shift to Mallory instead — veto winner “in a landslide” last week, a strong score in the opener too. Devens: “Let’s say I were to win HOH, I’m definitely throwing Mallory up next week.” Kamu: “She’s earned it now.”

Use the veto on? Lyric or Melody
Early: “I think Lyric is the easiest to address to me. She just doesn’t do anything, man.” Later, reversed: “I think I’d rather take Melody off. Because that means she’s coming back no matter what. I’d rather have her on my side… I’m much more threatened by Melody than Lyric.” Kamu had already coached Melody for the pitch — come with real names, not vague promises.

Closing
Devens: “I don’t make a decision until Monday. I don’t have to commit to anything.” Kamu confirms Drew’s solid. On the alliance name: Devens, laughing — “We’re the Tool Shed? Thanks, Drew.” Kamu: “Dude, I appreciate you so much in the game.” Devens: “I love the dude.”

12:30 AM – Kamu and Lyric, Backyard

Kamu opens directly: “Where is your head at game-wise, though? If you were to win HOH, for example, who would you target? Not you.” Lyric lays out her actual position — no formal alliance, just an understanding with Mallory and Melody: “We’ve never said a name, but we’re girlfriends.” On Rome, she’s careful to separate his feelings for her from her own game: “I’m flattered if a guy comes to me and tells me he really likes me and wants to keep me safe… but also remembering that I’m here for me, and his wanting to protect me and saying my name to Devens is the reason I’m sitting here having to fight for my life.”

She confirms, in her own words, what Kamu had already relayed to Devens: “I told him in a calm way and I felt really bad and I started crying… I have to play my own game… being around you and being associated with you is what got me in this position.” Rome’s reaction, per Lyric: “He’s totally fine with it. He’s like, do your thing, girl… it’s gonna suck, but, like, do your thing, girl.”

Kamu pushes her past just reassurance. She’s already told Devens she wouldn’t put him up if saved — “I told Devin, I’m like, look, I would not put you up. And I truly mean that. I am not a liar” — but Kamu wants more: “This is a game of give and take. You have to give him a little bit… if he asks you who you’d target and you say, I don’t know, you’re not giving him anything.” His advice: have another conversation, and this time bring real strategy, real names, real alliances — “let him know where your head’s at… that way he feels like he can trust you.”

Lyric names her wider circle — Chuk, Kamu, Angela — as people she’s stayed close with on both sides. Kamu’s blunt about what that’s worth: “Those are also people who wouldn’t vote to evict you.” She admits the real fear underneath all of it: “I don’t want to be left to vote, Kamu. I don’t.” He gives her one piece of real comfort — the seat next to her is Jason’s, not a stronger opponent’s: “If there’s one person right now that you should feel comfortable sitting next to, it’s probably Jason. He’s kind of upset everybody… it could be worse.”

They close warm — a shared Hawaii connection, mutual thanks, “Thanks, Kamu” — before he heads back inside: “If there’s one thing that Hawaiians know how to do, it’s fight.”

12:43 am Lyric, Melody and Mallory

Lyric names the source of her frustration plainly: “Rome is the reason that I am up on this block.” Someone in the group reads Devens’ whole approach as calculated — “that’s exactly what he wants,” framing his target as the one turning on people rather than himself. Melody, more quietly, admits the instinct underneath all the group solidarity: “But honestly, to save myself, like…” Lyric circles back to Rome again later: “Rome can’t keep his mouth shut. He can’t. That is why I’m sitting on the block right now.” Melody’s hope is blunt: “That’s why we need him to use this veto. He has to.”

The venting session that follows is the loudest moment in the clip — imagined, not said to his face: “You’re gonna fucking sit here and act like you’re switching up the game, and you’re gonna blow up everybody’s game, but you’re gonna take Jason out, and then who else are you gonna put up? You’re gonna put up Rome, okay? But still, though, why did you take one of the girls out? That’s a lame move… extra f**king lame when you sat there and said things are gonna get dicey. Congrats, bro.” Melody joins in — “What the fu(*k were we gonna do to you? You’re obviously beating us at competitions” — and the frustration lands on the size mismatch: “You’re two little girls who have been here for two weeks.”

Melody: “I feel like every single person is lying to me except for you two guys.”
Mallory: “I don’t trust anyone beside you two, like, literally anyone.”
Lyric: “I feel the same way.”
Mallory: “I thought I trust Barrett, but I don’t at all. I kinda trust Taylor.”
Melody: “Yeah, but what does she and Jason do, you know?”
Lyric: “No idea.”

12:51 am CHUK, Haley and Kamu

The three run the numbers on next week and like what they see — the other side’s targets are thinning to “Mallory, Lala, or Jason,” with Kamu already thinking two moves ahead. He lays out the veto plan cleanly: “We save the girl. We use the veto on Melody to get in our good graces… and she has a lot of influence over Mallory. And then we take out” the guy. Chuk, quick to claim it: “I said it, I said it, I said it.”

On Mallory, the read is sharpening into a real target. Haley: “When Mallory speaks, she looks at Melody for confirmation. She’s also getting sharper with her responses.” Kamu builds the case: “Mallory has proven to be a good competitor, and she’s got a mean streak, and she has no interest in working with us… we can’t wait for her to win a competition and put us up. We gotta take the shot again.” He’s clear this time it won’t feel bad the way her first nomination did: “Now we know that she is absolutely against working with us.”

Chuk turns it into open appreciation for how the week broke: “Everything you just mentioned is exactly how we wanted it to go and how we spoke with Devin. I didn’t know we were gonna have the house this ostracized this early… shout out to Devens. Amazing HOH, and then winning the veto. Flawless week. We owe him a big one.” Haley’s relief is personal — she’d dreaded winning the veto herself: “Before I went up there, I was like, if I fucking win, I’m in the hot seat for two weeks.” Kamu names the engine underneath it all: “Every time we win an HOH and take out somebody from their side, our chances of winning the next HOH increase because they have fewer and fewer numbers.”

On Rome, the read is more conflicted than cutthroat — they genuinely like him. Chuk, thinking out loud about the current state of the house: “Especially today, as it was so divided, Jason’s looking for his legs back. Rome is just so… he’s not a mean guy. I like Rome.” Kamu agrees he’s a great guy, then names exactly why that’s the problem: “It’s because he’s likable that he managed to influence half the house to join him. That’s way too threatening. You can’t keep somebody like that in the house.” Haley clocks his current play — “crocodile tears” — and Chuk reads it as desperation working against him: “He knows he’s in trouble. It is beautiful to see. Everything I’m seeing is beautiful to see.” He’s less sure about Rome and Lala, though — whether they’ve actually made up, and if it’s the same as before: “If you cross her, I don’t think she’ll forever trust you again.””

Kamu closes by confirming the plan straight from Devens, and the reason for it: “He’s cool with — if we’re taking out Jason, I want to save Melody, because between Melody and Lyric, Melody is more likely to win or to influence people to turn on him. So he’s not worried about Lyric.” The mechanics, one more time: “Save Melody, put up Rome. Whoever wins comes off the block, and the loser sitting next to Lyric goes home.” Then the actual reason he pulled them aside: “He wanted me to talk to you guys to make sure you’re cool with that.” Consensus was immediate — “Yes, of course.”

1:00 am Mallory and Melody Kitchen
The conversation started with strategy before turning much more personal and emotional.Mallory suggested feeding information to Drew if the other side gains power.

She proposed telling him that their side wants to target Jason
Mallory: “Like, that we want to target Jason. We all want him out. And then if they get power again, we all want to target Yash or something.
Just people that hurt us.”Melody then recapped her earlier conversation with Devens. She said Devens told her he felt bad about the nominations and acknowledged her difficult position
Melody: “He was like, ‘I know you’re kind of in a tough spot with, like, two of your friends up there.’”
When she asked if there was a specific target, Devens told her no.
Melody said she was careful not to push him on using the veto.Mallory’s frustration with the returning players was clear
Mallory: “I wish he wasn’t in this cast. I wish they didn’t bring back anybody.”Melody agreed, adding that an advantage in Big Brother should come from knowing the game itself, not from having played Survivor. The conversation then shifted into much more vulnerable territory.

Melody opened up about how mentally and emotionally draining the game has been
Melody: “It was way harder than I thought it was going to be… I never knew the extent of how fucking intense this is.”She described feeling disconnected and struggling with being alone
Melody: “I don’t even want to be alone, to be honest. Because when I’m alone, I literally feel weird. And that’s so unnatural for me.”Melody also admitted to zoning out and feeling strange throughout the day
Melody: “I legit feel like I am on drugs… every single day, multiple times, I’ll just be like, ‘Am I legit on hard drugs?’”She mentioned needing some kind of distraction just to get through the day.Mallory expressed confusion about Barrett, wondering if he was upset with her or simply didn’t want to spend time with her anymore. She also voiced strong suspicion toward Drew’s position in the house
Mallory: “Why is he the one that’s cool with them? Why was he not on the block last week? He’s the youngest one in the house and he’s in with the older crowd. I just hate when he talks to Dee.”On Rome, Mallory was skeptical, noting that he’ll likely say anything to survive. She mentioned that Rome told her he hopes he goes home, but she’s unsure if he actually means it or would throw the Blockbuster.Toward the end of the conversation, Mallory reflected on how weak their side’s connections actually were
Mallory: “We never formed an alliance.”She worried about how the show would portray them
Mallory: “In the Big Brother intro, they probably have an alliance name against everyone else… like a stupid ass alliance, like Big Dogs or something.”She even turned a critical eye on herself:
Mallory: “If I was watching myself play this game and it wasn’t me, I’d be like, ‘I don’t like this girl.’”

1:24–1:47 AM — Mallory and Barrett
The conversation began casually and warmly. Mallory and Barrett talked about Barrett’s hometown in Arkansas, states they hadn’t visited, Mardi Gras stories, and post-show travel plans. Mallory mentioned wanting to visit Lyric in Hawaii, Albuquerque, and do a Denver + Wyoming trip with Melody. The tone was light and unguarded, with easy banter. At one point, unprompted, Barrett said “I love you too.”

Eventually, Mallory asked how Barrett was handling “12 days into this game.” She was candid about how rough it had felt:

Mallory: “I was on the block last week, and then two of my really good friends were on the block this week… so maybe I’m not good at this.”
Barrett immediately pushed back:
Barrett: “I don’t think you’re bad at this at all, Mallory.”
Mallory opened up about her concerns with Dee and the rumor that had gotten back to her (“I heard that you hate me”). Barrett said Dee had never brought it up with him and reassured her that Dee hadn’t spoken negatively about her. Mallory was more worried about how the rumor could be used against her:

Mallory: “I don’t want her to think I didn’t keep that private… I feel like that’d be a reason to put me up.”
She then shared her read on the larger house structure:
Mallory: “I don’t like that the three icons and the three big dogs are all working together… the three icons are just going to get powers. Devens is going to get it next week.”
Barrett offered a different perspective, suggesting their underdog positioning could actually play well with America and playfully called her “the pipe queen.” They joked about Devens potentially landing a bad punishment from a future power (“Let him be the fucking Lord of the Latrine”).

Both admitted to feeling exhausted and missing normal life — missing home and constantly feeling watched. Barrett let a flash of his own frustration show without naming anyone:
Barrett: “I hear you talk about your views on life, and I’m not a fan.”

From there, the conversation shifted into Mallory asking for Barrett’s honest reads on her safety.
On Dee:
Barrett: “She’s never even said anything about you in a negative light at all.”
On Haley:
Barrett: “I get the sense that Haley is irritated with other people that are not you.”
When discussing the veto, Barrett believed Devens would use it on Melody. Mallory questioned the logic of Devens publicly going after Rome if he wasn’t actually planning to backdoor him. Barrett agreed that was likely the exact reason he would do it.

They touched on Rome’s potential targets if he won power (“the three icons”), before the conversation drifted into whether anyone can really keep everybody safe — it’s unclear at this point whether they’re still talking about Rome or have shifted to Devens. Either way, Barrett reassured her: “He has a hit list and you’re not on it.”
They confirmed their current plan: whichever guy (Rome or Jason) wins the Blockbuster, the other should go home. Mallory said she’d rather keep Rome over Jason if it came down to it.
The conversation stayed warm and supportive until they eventually headed inside.

(Uses the fruit to describe the positions of the southern states)

2:03 AM — Rome, Camera Talk (Hammock)

Rome heads out to the hammock alone, and what starts as venting turns into the most revealing look at his game all week. He opens tired and off-balance: “This thing’s getting rickety… it’s not nearly as relaxing anymore.”

Then he names the bind he’s in out loud: “This game is very tricky, because on one hand you want to be in charge and powerful and strong… and then a five foot two brown-haired singer walks in your life and makes you all emotional and sensitive. So now you have to figure out what to do with the rest of your game that doesn’t sacrifice your game. That’s the hard part. Because even though I like her, I need to make sure I’m still good as well.”

He gives Kamu his due for the position he’s in — “well played, young buck, well played” — and sits for a while in something genuinely raw: “There’s so many emotions all the time. You never stop being on… You want to love all these people. You do love all these people in here. But you also just feel so hurt when they backstab you.” He goes quieter still: “The emotions and the connections you make in this house are so real, so quickly, that it just hurts the most… How do you come back from your whole game shattering around you?”

His own answer is to get to work: “You go out and you win. You rally the people around you, keep them tight. Form new alliances. Plant some seeds, get them around the other side.” And then the plan sharpens into something specific — and it puts Lyric squarely inside it. “I could use Lyric’s ability to gain Kamu’s trust to wedge them,” he says. The mechanics: have Jason plant a rumor with Kamu — “oh, I saw you and Lyric outside together, are you going behind Rome’s back? Are you going after Rome’s girl?” — and let it spread, ideally until “Haley gets a sniff of it too.” The goal: “Makes him look dishonest. Makes him look distrustworthy. Like he’s working behind people’s backs.”

He catches the contradiction in it himself, and doesn’t fully resolve it: “Such a nice guy, though. I don’t really want to go behind his back. But… that’s my girl.” He walks through the sequence one more time — talk to Lyric first, then have Jason plant the seeds, then “they can stop trusting Kamu, they lose a number, he comes to us” — before landing on it plainly: “That’s one play.”

putting rome up as a backdoor rather than just nominating him initially was probably an unnecessary risk, cuz if he got selected for veto and won, it really could’ve thrown a wrench in things. but i like that they have a plan going into blockbuster.

Buck-I-Watcher

I saw that HoH convo live and immediately thought saying Mallory won in a “landslide” is at best an exaggeration and at worst a lie. Yash was close behind her. But then again, it is not the 1st time someone has incorrectly used the word landslide inside or outside of the house.

Like I said in the previous thread, I know and have known Mallory has no shot at winning the season, but still, obvious exaggerations or lies annoy me.

Again, we have ppl (in this case Devens) saying (paraphrased) well, she (Mallory) was nom’d last week and this week we put up ppl close to her so naturally, she’s upset then basically complain she is upset at them so put her up because (as per Kamu) “she’s earned it now” … when it is really THEY EARNED her dislike, which basically, Devens admitted to the grp AND to Mallory’s face. They forget she doesn’t like Jason and if he stays this time they could use her to get him out.

Ppl and their “NOBODY is allowed revenge on us and if they do WE WILL GET REVENGE ON THEM” BECUASE WE ARE THE ONLY ONES ALLOWED TO FIGHT BACK AFTER WE START A FIGHT!”.

The only upside/fun part to these large alliances is when they start cannibalizing each other via nom’s.

It would be fun to watch Rome get himself saved with blockbuster, Jason get evicted, then Rome win HoH (even though I really don’t like him) AND THEN nom all 3 main stunt-cast members, him win POV, leave nom’s the same and by some miracle Angela (UGH) wins blockbuster then it would be survivor 3.0/survivor vs survivor. Then there would have to be a house re-set.

BUT if my wishes were horses, I would have a ranch and I could also have enough space adopt all the kitts and pups from the feeds!

i don’t think the non-competing houseguests had a very good vantage point on yash.
