Quick Big Brother Spoilers
Head of Household: Rick Devens
Nominees: Lyric, Melody and Jason
POV Players: Angela, Barrett, Jason, Melody, Devens, Lyric
POV Winner: Devens
Veto Ceremony: ?
Havenots: Lyric, Barrett, Rome, Kamu, Jason
The house wakes up to a veto Devens won himself, and the whole day becomes a slow march toward one outcome: Rome on the block, Rome going home. Behind the HOH door, Drew and Devens work through every angle and keep landing in the same place — “it’s gotta be Rome” — while Drew makes his own loyalty unmistakable: “I don’t give a f*** about anyone besides the Crossovers.” He also reveals the Rome/Lyric breakup may have been his idea, floated as a strategic move. Out in the house, the plan does its work for them: Melody comes to Devens ready to deal, pledging her vote against Rome and writing off her old side entirely — “there is no way Rome does not go home if he’s on the block.” Kamu, Chuk, and Haley cross-confirm the whole thing, marveling that Lyric has now told half the house she wants Rome up. By the time the sun’s high, Toolshed is locked, Melody’s flipped, and the only real question left is who sits beside Rome in the Blockbuster.

9:47 am Houseguests up milling around.

10:12 am Berrett and Taylor
Taylor’s been struggling with how unreal the house feels — dreaming about home, feeling watched everywhere she turns: “Last night I was going camera crazy. Everywhere I looked, it was something, somebody looking at me.” She tried to disappear that morning: “I was, like, on the couch kind of trying to hide, because I don’t like people in my face all the time.” Even Kamu noticed — “he was like, you came on the wrong show.” Taylor: “It’s always in my face. Can’t get a second. God dang. No privacy. There’s nothing you can do about it.”
Both are running on empty. Barrett: “I’ve slept like collectively two hours the last three days.” Taylor: “Yep.” Barrett: “Sleeping last night, waking up crying.” Taylor: “It hit me like that too, like second night. It came out of nowhere.” Barrett: “Mad I got to play an HOH off of that shit.” Taylor: “I thought I was being dramatic. Then I realized I’m not being dramatic. Watching y’all go through it, it’s making me realize I wasn’t being dramatic.” Barrett: “That bed’s so fucking awful.” Taylor: “All night you’re waking up. Because you can’t get comfortable.”
On the slop — Barrett: “I ate so much slop yesterday. I don’t want to eat anymore today. I’m done.” Taylor: “Those muffins seemed like the hit.” They trade survival notes — pickles this week, protein powder when nothing else works. Taylor: “It’s fun until it’s not. First day is cute.” And a bit later: “You just feel like a ghost.”

Taylor: “People are starting to get annoying.” Barrett: “Thank you for saying that.” Taylor: “Love them. But they’re annoying.” Barrett: “Love them, but we’re living with them.” He gets at the fan-to-houseguest shift: “As a fan, when you start watching people just laying in bed all day… you’re like, why are you like this? And then you get in and you’re like, oh, I fucking get it. You ain’t got nowhere to go but live with these people.”
Barrett: “I don’t know what I would do if you weren’t here.” Taylor: “Same.” Taylor: “Seems like nobody knows how to sit in silence around here.” Barrett: “Yeah, it’s very uncomfy for some of them. Who the fuck talks all day every day?” Taylor: “I’m used to listening. So maybe that’s why.”
Barrett asks what she’d be doing at home right now. Taylor: “If I was home right now, my mom probably would have yelled at me because I wasn’t getting ready for church fast enough. So I probably would have been going to church for sure.” She walks through the rest of it — coming out of church, finding something to eat, sitting in bed, scrolling, the backyard, waiting for her dad to finish dinner, maybe going to see her grandpa. Barrett: “That sounds a lot better.”
The two drift into lighter territory from there — some wrestling talk and horseplay — before winding down

10:16 AM — Kamu, Dee, and Haley
Kamu brings Dee up to speed on his late-night talk with Devens, and she’s steps ahead of him the whole way. He lays out the plan — “he’s going to use the veto… on Melody, and whoever doesn’t win the Blockbuster between Rome or Jason goes home.” Dee, flat: “We already talked about this.”
Kamu walks it through anyway: “I talked to Devins, and initially it sounded like he was leaning towards using the veto on Lyric, and then keeping Jason. But he said, hey, if the plan is to evict Jason or Rome and save a girl, then I’m gonna use it on Melody — because I think it would be more beneficial to use it on Melody and get in her good graces than Lyric.” The reasoning, one line: “Because Melody’s more threatening.” Dee: “Yeah, I’m down.”
He passes along the last piece — Devens wants to bring it to the group directly: “He said he’ll talk to you guys too… are you cool with that?” Dee: “I’m cool with that.” Then the button on it, pure Dee — she’d been hoping for something better than logistics: “I thought you were going to give me some good, juicy tea.” Kamu: “No, that’s why I said I can talk to you later.” Dee, waving it off: “I don’t give a fuck.”

10:32 am Working out

11:10 AM — Melody and Barrett (HOH)
Melody opens up about how much harder the house has been than she expected: “I was crying so hard the night of nominations… even when I’m alone, I still don’t feel okay. I almost feel worse when I’m completely by myself sometimes.” Barrett: “Anytime I’m by myself here, it’s so nice. But you don’t want to be seen as the person that just doesn’t want to talk to people.” He’d rather be doing this — “I would much rather be just fucking sitting up here with you… I can do this all day” — than “playing the game of Yapper McYappington at the dinner table between seven people.” Melody: “And somehow I’m in zero of the conversations.” On what she misses: “All I wanted to do was put on my favorite music and just dance it out, rage it out… it’s totally not the same.”
On the veto — Melody: “What do you think Devens is gonna do? Do you think he’s gonna keep the nominations the same?” Barrett: “No. I don’t know why he’d do all that shit in his speech and not do that. I don’t know why I’d be dragged up to the HOH room at 5 in the morning to hear him basically say that and then not do it.” Melody: “So you put up two small girls in the house, blew up everybody’s fucking game, especially his, and then not do anything about it? Like, what the fuck?” Barrett: “I think he’s gonna follow through with it.” Melody: “I would honestly respect that on so many levels, but especially because hopefully I’m the one off the block.” Barrett: “Let him get all the blood on his hands, though.” Melody: “100%.”
Melody: “I just want you to know I’m not in the same boat as that” — separating herself from Mallory, who she says “is mad at fucking everybody right now.” On Rome: “I already don’t trust Rome, especially after that. He fucking threw my name out there. And so did Jason. Like, what am I supposed to do, keep rocking with those people? Fuck no.” Barrett: “Win HOH.” And on how the game moves: “Just because one week there’s one plan to go after this person… don’t mean next week it’ll be the same thing. That’s what’s great about this game.”
Barrett asks if she’d have a preference between Rome, Jason, and Lyric if she comes off the block. Melody: “At this point, low-key, no.” On Lyric: “Lyric’s my girl, but also every day I keep finding out that she’s not telling me anything and she’s telling other people more shit when we’re supposed to be tight.” On Rome: “I thought I had something with Rome… he literally, instead of saying my name to keep safe, he said his. Why, though?” On Jason: “I thought I could rock with him and I trusted him, and he’s over there telling Devens to put me and Lyric up.” Where she lands: “I hope all y’all go and I’m safe.” Her slight lean, if forced: “I want to say Jason is my preference… at least Jason kind of played everybody. He really was playing double agent.” On Rome, the sharper cut: “You literally told me to my face we were cool and I was a priority in your game, and then you completely bailed on that right away. So what was the point?”
Melody: “I’m gonna go talk to Devens actually really soon here, as soon as I leave… tell him everything.” Barrett coaches the pitch: “Just make him think any reason that it would be beneficial to pull you off the block to have that bond or relationship.” Melody: “I’ve been telling him the truth… now I’m just gonna tell him the truth again, but make it more of a, like, let’s make a deal.” She heads off to find him — “Thanks for talking with me” — Barrett right behind her: “I’m gonna head down with you too.”

11:08 AM — Drew and Devens (HOH, Dee briefly present)
Drew comes in with a readout on Rome. “Rome told me this morning that him and Lyric broke up,” he says — but he reads it as tactical: “I think it’s a play to separate herself from him, because he wants you to use the veto on her.” He relays Rome’s position: Rome went to Devens, laid everything out, and came away believing “you told him you’re not going to backdoor him” from before the blowup. “So right now he feels like you guys have that. And if you break your word, then it’s free game.” The upshot: “He’s not gonna go up here, he’s not gonna pitch himself to not be on the block.”
Dee, on her way out: “I was just shitting my life. But I’m also hungry.” She leaves them to it — “Okay, well, you guys talk, I’ll go eat.”
Devens frames the real question: “I’m trying to figure out who we’re trying to target if Rome wins Blockbuster. I think that’s the big thing.” Drew relays where Melody’s head is: “Melody’s telling me right now that she feels completely burned by Rome and has nobody. The only people she trusts are me and Kamu.” His logic on the veto: “No matter what, Lyric will always be a vote for Rome to stay.” And if the target ends up not being Rome: “Jason is what I would love. Because Jason almost won HOH, has won a competition, almost won the veto.” Devens initially reads Jason as harmless to their side — “Jason is not coming after anyone in the Crossovers” — but Drew corrects him: “No, he’s coming after me. And Angela.” Devens: “I didn’t know he was going after Angela.”
Drew makes his case for saving Melody over Lyric, and it runs several layers deep. On Melody: “She’s someone who’s so easily persuaded to flip… she could win HOH next week and put all of them up and not put you up, especially if you’re the one to use the veto on her. Then you could be like, clean slate, you were never the target.” On Lyric: “She’s such a nothing player that it’s not worth saving. She’s not going to be mad at you regardless if she’s on the block, and she’s not going to be happy and loyal to you if you use the veto on her.” He owns his own bias directly: “You could see it from me and be like, oh Drew, you spent a lot of time with her and she’s loyal to you, so that’s why you want to keep her — which is very true. But I could convince her to vote the ways we want. Because at the end of the day, I’m with the Crossovers. I don’t give a fuck about any of these people besides the Crossovers.”

Then the breakup reveal. Drew: “I told him after everything blew up, the greatest thing you could do is you and Lyric do a public breakup. And he was like, yeah, that’d be really funny, actually not a bad idea. And then a day or two later they do it.” Devens: “So it’s probably just bullshit.” Drew: “He told me in the morning, I’m not gonna tell anybody, I’m just gonna see if it spreads word of mouth. So part of me feels like he’s testing me, seeing if I give you information. He’s like, you’re the only one I’m telling this.”
Devens lays out where his own head is, and it’s all consensus-building. “I want Rome out so bad. I think we’re locked in that he goes up, and if he’s there, he goes home. Period.” The open question is the secondary target: “It all comes down to who our secondary target is to me as a group. Because obviously I want this to be a consensus. This is our first Tool Shed vote. I want everyone on the same page.” His breakdown: if the group wants a girl gone, take Lyric off and keep Melody up; if the group decides Jason’s the bigger threat “because he can win stuff,” then pull Melody off and keep Lyric up. His preference is the olive-branch play: “If we’re getting rid of Jason, Melody’s a bigger threat. I would much rather give her an olive branch, take her off the block, and try to develop something.”
He’s adamant about one thing above all — no drifting off Rome. “What I don’t want to do is pull Melody off, and then in the next couple days people are like, we’ve hurt Rome so much, we should get rid of Jason. The second someone comes to me with that shit, this whole thing’s blown up. It’s gotta be Rome.” Drew agrees completely: “If Rome’s on the block, he needs to go.”
Devens surfaces something personal on Lyric, too — he doesn’t like how she’s handled the breakup: “Whether it’s a ploy or whether it’s real, I don’t appreciate the way Lyric’s treating Rome. I know that sounds weird coming from me who dogged Rome, but he didn’t do anything to you. I’m sorry he tried to keep you safe.”
They close on the psychology of the Blockbuster itself. Drew: “It just matters who he’s up against. If he’s up against Lyric in a competition, he’s gonna be more frazzled than against Melody — there’s no emotional connection to Melody. Psychologically, you fuck with him.” And the throughline they keep returning to: Melody’s reachable through Drew and Kamu, Lyric isn’t reachable by anyone. Drew: “No one has any sort of connection with Lyric, and she’s not going to make any new ones. Because if Rome’s still here, she’s just going to follow Rome.” Devens sends Kamu out to take the house’s temperature and get the Tool Shed to a real consensus before he decides.

11:19 am Melody and Devens
Melody comes in direct: “I’m really glad that it happened now rather than later, because now I know where I stand with people.” On Rome: “He told me I was almost a priority to him in the game. And then to hear that I really wasn’t… I don’t like it.” Where it leaves her: “I fuck with Rome, but me personally right now, I don’t trust him. I just don’t.” On Jason: “I trusted Jason. Not a good idea.” On Lyric: “I thought Lyric was my girl, and I keep hearing people say Lyric’s been talking to them about Rome and all these other things that she won’t talk to me about.”
On her old side: “Me, Lyric, and Mallory still never had anything official. So we were literally being seen as grouped together in an alliance with no benefit of an actual alliance.” And: “I want to play against people who also want to play Big Brother. That’s what makes it fun.”
Melody: “You’re not someone I see as an enemy or someone I’m gunning for. If I were to win HOH next week, you’re not going.” Devens: “I obviously love to hear that.” On where he’s at: “I’m trying to figure out what I’m going to do with this thing. To use it, to not use it.” And: “Personal relationships are going to be involved. But then there’s the game. I want to play the game. Games are supposed to be fun.”
Devens: “If I pull you off, what do you see me doing?” Melody: “Putting up Rome.” She frames it as a read, not a demand — “not that I’m telling you to do that” — then: “Rome, you told me you were going to protect me over other people, and then all of a sudden it’s not like that. And then you make a huge rookie mistake and list off like 10 people’s names to the HOH, knowing Devens is a good competitor and is smart.”
Devens on why now: “Rome is just a different breed of player. He’s a baller. Especially now that he’s this underdog, he’s a huge threat to get the time capsule advantage. Now that there’s a fire under his ass, he’s a huge threat to win HOH. The second he wins HOH, all that power is consolidated again.” Melody: “Now is the time.”
Devens: “That’s a big thing, to pull you off the block.” Melody: “If you do that for me, I will trust you and I will give you my word. You’re not ever going up on my HOH, period. If you end up on the block because of someone else, you have my vote to stay. And if you pull me off and put up Rome and he doesn’t win the Blockbuster, he’s gone — you have my vote to do that. And I know Drew would vote the same way.” Devens: “You can show me something this week by voting out.”

Devens: “I put you three up and blew up Rome, and then I still like them all a lot. I go up when you guys are at the table and I’m like, they’re probably super pissed I’m even here. Do they think I’m rubbing it in? Because I’m trying to do the opposite of that.” And: “I’m friends with all the people that were hardcore after me in these other games.” Melody: “There’s no official enemies this early.”
Devens: “If I put him up and he lost that Blockbuster and stayed, it’d just be like, what was all this for?” Melody: “There is no way Rome does not go home if he’s on the block. If he’s up against Lyric, Rome is going home. If he’s up against Jason, that would be a little harder for people — but you got mine for Rome, and I know Drew would vote to get Rome out.” On Lala: “Her, Taylor, and Jason are really tight,” but “Rome did mention for Lala to go up,” so “Lala might even sway to get him out too.” On Mallory: “I feel like Mallory might get Rome out too, because if he did that to me, who’s to say he’s not going to do that to her? She’s smart.”
Devens: “Two are on, so that’s 13 people, you need seven.” Melody: “That’s already seven people.” Devens: “Jason can keep painting a target on his back — let somebody else do it. But Rome, if he stays…” Melody: “Fuck.” Devens: “He’s a charming dude. He’s got a great relationship with me personally, I love the guy. Yash loves him, I think Kamu and Chuk love him. He’s a dangerous guy.”
Devens: “I feel good about just even our ability to talk game.” Melody: “Just know I’m in your corner. If you do something for me, I got you 100% the rest of the game.” Devens, on the wait: “In Survivor I can make a decision and then do it. Now it’s like I make a decision and there’s 48 hours.” He promises her a heads-up before the ceremony either way.

11:34 am Kamu, CHUK, Haley
Chuk relays a hot tub conversation where Lyric came to him and Yash fishing for reassurance: “Lyric came to us just asking, how do we feel about her? Do we feel like she’s good?” And then the part that’s spreading: “Lyric mentioned that Rome should be up for nominations because he’s the one who put her in that predicament. But she still feels bad because the whole house attacked him during the nomination ceremony, and he’s so down right now, and she doesn’t want to kick someone while they’re down.” Kamu: “She told me all the same things last night” — that Lyric “suggested to Devens he put up Rome and use the veto on her.” Haley cuts to it: “You know Devens is going to use that to his advantage. Your girl wanted your ass up.” And on Lyric telling everyone: “Why does she keep telling everyone her game?”

Haley’s surprised Lala escaped the block: “She’s a great social competitor. Nobody wants to rock the boat with her. I was about to make her a Have-Not.” She and Chuk read Lala as untouchable socially — “nobody wants to rock the boat with her.”
Kamu addresses the elephant directly — the house perception that his group is tied to the vets: “One thing they did say to me is that people think the three of us are working with the three icons.” His cover story to the house: “I said, the whole house voted together last week. We may end up voting together this week depending on how things play out. But there is no alliance.” He explains the distancing is deliberate: “That’s why I’ve intentionally tried to distance myself from you guys, just for the appearance.” Chuk backs it: “Keep working the house and do what you do. But know that I’m obviously locked.” Kamu: “We are as locked as we’ve ever been.”
On Devens’ cover, they like how isolated he looks: Haley — “Devens doesn’t really look like he’s working with anybody.” Chuk — “He doesn’t look like he’s working with a soul, which is great.”

Chuk sizes up the stakes: “If we could get Rome out so early, that changes the game tremendously.” Kamu frames the long game: “We just have to keep doing HOHs. We have to take out people most likely to win HOHs. This week it’s Rome or Jason.” On next week — Haley: “I’d still throw Melody up there again.” Kamu: “If Melody’s not going after us, there’s no real threat.” Haley pushes back, citing Dee: “She’d go after the girls before the guys.”
The back half drifts personal — a long tangent about Taylor being “too hot and cold.” Haley says she told Taylor directly: “When you’re locked in on something, say you’re cooking, you’re focused — you can’t hold a conversation at the same time.” Chuk’s blunter: “I’m not the biggest fan of her. She’s too hot and cold. You just can’t be hot and cold in this house.” They close relaxed — Chuk: “This is a week where we can relax.”

12:45 pm Jason and Devens
The conversation opens as a mutual apology. Jason explains his pre-nomination moping wasn’t strategy: “It was less about game stuff and more about me feeling like America hates me. Because Angela just got her thing… that’s why when I was fighting with Angela, I was like, hate me, America, even more.” Devens waves off any blame: “I blacked out during most of what you and Angela were saying. I was like, oh my God, this is my fault.” Jason: “That’s not your fault. That was literally my fault.”
Jason apologizes for the “liar” outburst at the ceremony: “I’m sorry I called you a liar in front of everyone. In the moment I felt attacked. But looking back, I didn’t talk strategy to you. You came to talk strategy to me. And I can own that.” He credits Devens for how he handled it: “What I find so clever and awesome about you is that you never lied about anything I was saying. Of the words I said to you, that’s what you said out there.”
Jason explains why he’d kept his distance all game: “The three returnees in the house — you guys are the ones. I saw that early on, so I was like, I’m gonna stay away. And I’ll be honest, I was the one pushing that in the beginning, but I saw slowly how everyone didn’t care. And I felt very ostracized from that idea of even now coming up to you.” He lays out how thoroughly his game has collapsed: “My game’s completely blown up. Rome was my truest one I had. The thing with the girls is all out on the table. I don’t have the girls at all on my side. I don’t have the votes.”

Both get openly warm — Devens: “Dude, I like you so much.” Jason: “There’s maybe no one in the house I want to hang out with and bag with more than Rome” — but he understands why Rome has to go: “He’s a huge threat. I’ve been talking to Rome about this since everything happened. He’s been so good about it, a good sport.” He confirms Rome’s own posture: “Even to me, he hasn’t talked shit about you. He’s just been like, dude, he’s good. He’s really good.”
Then Jason’s actual pitch, and it’s total surrender. His read on why he can’t come after Devens: “There’s no way to backdoor you. A, you’ll win veto. B, you’ll win Blockbuster. That would just be awful for me.” So instead: “Let that be an asset to you. If that means knocking out the girls or knocking out anyone you need, I’d be willing to do that. My back’s against the wall.” He goes further: “I told Angela, if you guys want me to be a little minion for you guys, I’ll be messy in that way and I’ll do it.” His goal is modest: “All I want to do is at least get to jury. That’s my dream.”
He owns the meltdown squarely: “I’m 35. My whole crybaby moment is that I’m the oldest guy in the house. That’s why I was crying with Angela. But I’m not a kid. I can own up to it.” Devens marvels at how fast Jason and Angela squashed it: “I came up here to hide. I go back down and you guys were holding hands. It was almost therapeutic, it seemed like, for you guys to just release all that crap.”
Then Devens opens up about the veto in a way he hasn’t with anyone else. He’s blunt that keeping noms the same is easiest — “the easiest thing to do is just not change anything” — and confirms what he told Rome: “I told Rome, I’m not putting you on the block, and I’m not going to backdoor you. And I meant it when I said it.” But he lays out the real problem, using Jason himself as the key: “The problem with that, for you, is that you’re the baller. You are the one that could knock him off in the Blockbuster.” And the crux of his hesitation: “Once I do the veto, I’m done. I don’t have a vote, and I don’t even have a tiebreaker.” So he’s stuck weighing two paths — “I don’t know if it’s better for you to not veto anybody and go against the girls, or to pull someone off and replace Rome, and then you’re going against Rome.”
Jason makes a genuinely clever counter-pitch — that Rome is more likely to actually go home if Jason isn’t sitting next to him: “I think there’s better chances of him going home if I’m not next to him on the block. Melody or Lyric against Rome, the girls are all gonna side with Lyric or Melody over me to keep them here.” His read on the two girls: cutting Lyric “would put a fire on his butt,” or keep her “as a pawn against him.”

Then Jason drops a real piece of intel — floating Melody as the veto save specifically to test Drew: “I know there’s someone on your squad who has a crush on her” — naming Drew directly. His pitch: “To prove Drew’s loyalty to you guys, have him vote Melody instead of me. That would solidify his trust with you guys.” He backs it with history: “I tried to start an alliance with Drew and Melody like day two, day three. And I think that got them excited and they went and started an alliance with Rome and Lyric behind my back. But then I knew he was working with me — the Four Seasons.”
Jason makes his safety pledge emphatic: “If I have the chance to stay, I will not put you up. And I mean that on my mom’s grave.” And confirms Rome’s target list: “Rome said he’s targeting you, Dee, and Angela, the three reality stars. So if Rome does stay, he’s gonna go up and do that.” He commits to the backdoor if he wins: “I would be willing to put Rome up. I don’t have to tell him beforehand. I can keep that to myself and let him battle it out.”
Jason cops to the paranoia that had kept him away: “My biggest fear was that he’s been working with you this whole time, and I’m the target.” Devens confirms the secret Rome connection existed — “he and I had our secret under-the-table talks” — but that it went nowhere trustworthy, because Kamu had the same setup: “Kamu’s like, hey dude, I’ve got kind of a secret under-the-table thing with Rome. And I’m just like, Rome’s just playing.”
They close on a long, genuine bond over playing hard. Devens: “I’m doing everything my smarter friends told me not to do. They’re like, don’t win HOH early, don’t make a big move, pace yourself. And here I am, not doing any of that.” Jason: “I come to play hard. I try to do it in a nice way and have fun.” Devens: “I see myself in you and vice versa.” They agree the whole week has proven nothing about anyone’s real loyalty yet — Devens: “No one’s shown each other anything. No one’s had power to do so. And it’s all gonna blow up, and there’s gonna be opportunities for everybody.” He leaves the door wide open: “No matter what, as ballers, we can keep that door open. Mi casa es su casa.” Jason: “Thanks, Devens.”

1:30 pm Lyric and Devens
Lyric comes up to make her pitch directly. “I just wanted to reiterate that I would really like it if you would use the veto on me. And I think because I was put in this position by Rome, I would like you to put him up instead of me. Anyone but me kind of thing.” She goes past self-preservation into strategy: “At this point, Rome has a huge target on his back. It’s not a good idea for me to be associated with him. I can’t work with him anymore, which is really hard for me as a person.”
On the pivot: “My mom is probably shaking her head at me being like, Lyric, why on earth would you trust someone like this in this game where it’s blown up in your face? You need to pivot.” The offer: “If you choose to use this veto on me, I will be loyal to you. I will never put you up. And I will work with the people that you work with to achieve the goals that you guys want. I don’t want to be protected by a guy that has now lost my trust because I’m on the block because of him.”
Devens defends Rome’s move: “I feel so bad for Rome. He wasn’t trying to hurt you in any way. It was a pretty normal game move that he was just trying to look out for his allies. I don’t want to misrepresent it.” Lyric holds her position: “He didn’t hold his cards close, and that’s why he’s ended up in this position, and I’m the collateral damage that came with that. I appreciate Rome so much for wanting to protect me. But I got me. I came here to play my game.”
On the veto decision, Devens doesn’t commit: “I appreciate that. I see where you’re coming from with everything. I’m still trying to figure it out. You know how stuff is in this house — it’s like, okay, this is what I’m going to do, and then an hour later, oh good point, this is what I’m going to do.” On the ceremony taking the decision out of his hands: “The second that veto ceremony is over, I can’t do anything. I can’t vote. There’s not even going to be a tie break. We’re seven and six this week. So it wouldn’t be a tie even if it was as close as it could possibly be.”
On the risk of the plan getting away from him: “I could have best laid plans, and then after tomorrow’s ceremony, it could just get hijacked away from me and turn into not what I want. And it’s like, why’d I do all this? Why’d I take all this smoke for this?” On Rome as the target: “There’s the big alpha guy. He’s super charming. I’ve got to take a shot at him, or at least to weaken him.” On Lyric specifically: “It’s not like you did anything that I’m like, this is the reason you’re up. It’s certainly nothing personal.”
The close. Lyric: “I have to play this game for me. My parents taught me to fight and to be strong, and this is me being strong and advocating for myself. I know Rome and I will be friends on the outside of this, but I need to make the moves that are best for me. I don’t want it ruined by my association with a guy.” Devens, on next week: “I’m confident you’ll be here next week. However things play out.” Lyric makes her own pledge: “When you win that HOH — I promise you, you will not go up.” Devens: “I’ll take that.” He leaves it open: “I’ll try to figure it out, and I’ll try to give you kind of a heads up too.” A “mi casa, su casa,” and she heads out.
*Where it stands
Lyric is cutting Rome loose, publicly and privately, and lobbying to be the one Devens saves — pledging loyalty and a spot in his group if he does. Devens hears her out, defends Rome’s move as strategic rather than personal, owns that Rome is his target, and stops short of promising the save, pointing to how little control he has the moment the ceremony ends.

1:54 pm juicy time on the feeds

2:00 PM Devens, EGG , Dee, and Barrett (HOH)
Devens lays out where he’s landed, with the caveat that it keeps moving: “Last night I was in a totally different place, and knowing that this evening I could be in a totally different place based on what I’m hearing from everybody. But right now I take Melody off and Rome goes home first, Jason goes home second.”
Angela questions the logic of saving Melody over Lyric: “If you take Melody off and not Lyric, how is your deal gonna go with Rome if he stays?” Devens doesn’t think the Rome deal is real anyway: “I’ve openly lied to him, so I feel like in his mind he can openly lie to me. I can make this promise to you, go into the confessional and say, he lied to me, I lied to him, it’s not true — and then just stab me in the back.”
Dee presses the same Melody-vs-Lyric question. Devens is direct about it: “I would want to get rid of Melody.” Barrett backs the read on why: “She scares me.” Angela agrees: “Yeah, me too.” Devens frames the veto save as the only real reason he’s protecting Melody: “The only reason I’m saving her is because she’s scarier. At least I gave her the veto, and she’s not the one going home.” Dee pushes back that a veto doesn’t buy loyalty — “She’s not going to be on your side just because you gave her the veto” — and Devens concedes it, but takes it anyway: “She’s not, but at least it’s something.”
Dee floats the alternative — keeping Lyric on the block since she’s “not a threat at all.” Barrett agrees leaving Lyric up would be its own kind of safe: “Leaving Lyric on the block would also be a guarantee, because I don’t think anybody would be that willing to vote out Lyric. It would be an easy vote.” The group settles the fixed points regardless: both girls come back no matter what, and it’s Rome or Jason going home.
They close aligned. Dee: “I trust whatever you’re discussing. Everybody in there is good for all of us.” Devens lands on the dream version: “Hopefully Jason wins that blockbuster and we just vote Rome out.” Angela: “That’s amazing.” Then someone’s at the HOH door — Barrett: “I’m going to open the door. We have to.”

2:08 pm Drew and Devens
“They still think I’m with them 100% — which is wild” (what a weasel)
Drew on what Rome does if he stays. “Even if he was here next week, which I hope he isn’t, he would put you up regardless, whether or not you put him up or not, as a renom. But I think he wants to use it as fuel to call you a liar.”
Devens says he’s already defused it. “I’ve already told everybody that I did that. Like literally, like Melody, Jason, and I’m like, listen, I told him that I wasn’t going to put him up, but… I probably will. Oops. So I’m taking a lot of the steam out of that anyway.”
On the pawn scenario: “If you put me up, I know I just have to win something. Or I’ll go home and that’s… Whatever. We’re playing a game. If you can get the Blockbuster and the HOH, like, good on you. Now I’m in the hot seat. That’s what I signed up for.”
Drew lays out his own game. “At the end of the day, I want you to make your own decision, but my whole game here is to just talk to the other side, get you guys prepared for conversations beforehand so that you have at least time to process it before.”
On where the other side thinks he stands: “And they still think I’m with them 100%. Which is wild. And they’re like, oh, what was going on up there? And I’m like, well, what do you think? And every time they say something, I’m like, that’s kind of the vibe. I haven’t given them anything.”
Drew addresses the loyalty question directly. “Sometimes I feel like you guys are worried that I’m going to switch sides.” He answers it: “I wouldn’t leave a majority to go to a minority.”
Devens on the order of targets. “We still have this trio, extra trio that’s the tool shed to worry about after we worry about them.” He names the eventual move: “Not the tool shed, if we go after Red Corner, which eventually we’ll have to.” The sequence he lays out: “Dude, if we can get rid of Rome, Jason, Mallory… It’s time to take out the red corner. And then we’re in great shape.”
Drew names the core he trusts. “At the end of the day, I’m cool with you, Barrett, Dee, Angela. I don’t think us five are going to be persuaded.” Devens: “If us five are trying, we’re going to see everything coming.”
Devens on the timeline: “Three or four weeks when we win, all three of them go up and we take complete control of the game.”
They close on the alliance. Drew: “The second you walked in, for some reason I was like, I’m rocking with this guy. Dude, we’re going to have a hell of a lot of fun.” Devens: “I’m the best shield in this game right now.” Drew: “He wins comps. He does big shit.” Devens: “Why wouldn’t you want to work with me?”
Where it stands
Drew and Devens confirm they’re solid inside the five (Devens, Drew, Barrett, Dee, Angela). Drew frames his contact with Rome and Jason as controlled — they think he’s fully with them, and he says he’s given them nothing. Devens is pre-empting Rome’s liar accusation by openly admitting the backdoor to Melody and Jason first. Both look past this week to a Red Corner target once Rome, Jason, and Mallory are gone, with Devens putting “complete control” three or four weeks out.

2:20 pm Kamu and Devens (
Kamu brings up what Rome is about to pitch. “So he’s going to talk to you about pitching you the idea of using the veto on Lyric and then switching it out with him.” Devens: “Sacrificing himself for later?” Kamu lays out Rome’s framing: “As, like, a trust, like, a peace treaty, I guess. Like, hey, if you do this, if you save her, then at least I’ll be able to go and, like, fight it out. But at least my girl, essentially, will be protected. And if you do use it, I’d rather not be up there competing next to her. I’d rather her be off the block.”
Devens’ read on Rome: “Bro forgot he was playing Big Brother, and he’s just in love.” Kamu: “It’s like, dude, she lives in Hawaii, bud. And she does not feel the same.”
Devens questions the whole showmance. “I don’t know how much of their stuff is real versus fake. Like, how much is him being like, Lyric, go tell them that we’re dead. Like, I can see him totally being the puppet master behind everyone turning on him.” He adds where his conscience is: “I didn’t mean for it to be like this. If they really are turning on him that quick, I feel bad about it.”
Kamu on defending Rome to Lyric: “Lyric is pissed. And I even told her to her face. I was like, hey, all he did was try to get me to protect his ally. It wasn’t bad.” Kamu on Lyric’s regret: “My mom is going to be so upset because my mom told me, Lyric, do not get in a showmance.”
Devens tells Kamu he wouldn’t hold a blown-up move against him. “Like if you went, if Rome was HOH and you went and you were like, dude, I would love it if you could protect me and Devens. And then he used that and blew it up. I wouldn’t be like, Kamu, you’re such an asshole. I’d be like, Kamu, dude. You tried, bro. I get it. Obviously, they were coming for us anyway.”

Kamu passes along Rome’s plan to flush out double agents. “He did say this, and I want to let you know. He goes, I want to see who’s playing both sides of the house. He goes, so I’m going to tell people… And he had the same exact conversation with Chuk. He talked to Chuk before he talked to me. He said, I’m going to tell people that if I win HOH next week, I’m gunning for the three icons.” Devens: “And Jason already did tell me that.”
Devens confirms he’s already prepped Jason for the backdoor. “I basically told him, I don’t think you’re coming off because either I’m not going to use it or I need you there to take out Rome. I was like, I haven’t decided to use it, but if I use it, it would probably be to backdoor Rome, and I need you there to do that. And he was like, that sucks, but I get it. Like, he was cool about it.”
Devens on the lie Rome will weaponize. “You know, I lied to him. I told him he wasn’t going to go up on the block. He said it twice. And he’s going to try to use that big time. But, like, I’m already telling everybody, like, yeah, that did happen.” On defusing it ahead of time: “It’s not going to be, like, a big explosion. It’s going to be like everybody knows that, yeah, Devins did lie to him.”
Kamu relays Rome’s own verdict on Devens. “He’s like, Devins is an amazing player. And he blew up my game. He goes, but… He wasn’t dishonest. Everything that he said, he’s like, it was true. It was a private conversation that he made public, but he was honest.”
Devens’ rationale for taking the shot. “I would have liked to be, because I don’t like to lie like that, but it’s like, I believed it when I said it, you know what I mean? And then it was like, you know what? Why am I wasting this HOH? Especially when it’s like… for us, like it’s for such a big group. It’s like, let’s take this shot, and then we’re in just such a good position, dude.”
Kamu points to the next target. “Especially if we’re able to take out Jason next, because I think he’s the next biggest. If I win HOH or anybody, and the Tool Shed Alliance wins HOH, we can take him out.” Devens: “And you guys have the biggest shield in the world, like it’s only them I’m worried about.”
Kamu gives Devens the intel on who’s naming him. “I don’t hear a ton of people talking about you. I hear more people upset with Rome and Jason.” On the exceptions: “Mallory, she said you and D. I don’t know who the third would be. Those are the only two people, Rome and Mallory, who I’ve heard bring your name up.” Devens: “Right, and they all have an excuse to put me up, which is the hardest thing to find.”

On Melody and why she comes off. Kamu: “Melody, I don’t think is interested in attacking you. I think she was more interested in working with you, which is why I want to pull her off.” Devens: “She, again, mentioned you and Drew as people that she likes to work with. So I think she’s being legit with you guys. I think she would rather fall into whatever you guys have going on, then fall back to that other side.” Kamu: “I walked in on Drew and Melody in the bathroom this morning… Melody goes, you guys are like the only two people that I really trust. I think she’s actually riding with us.”
Devens on the veto move itself. “I’ve got to play it on somebody if I’m putting Rome up. So it’s like, yeah, whatever. Take the shot. Hopefully it helps. If not, then… Whatever. She was never the target.”
Devens’ bottom line at the close. “The most important thing to me, as I keep reiterating, is like, dude, if Rome’s there, we’ve got to take out Rome.” On holding the line: “We’ve got to just stay locked as an alliance. We put this beautiful thing together, we haven’t done one thing, we have to see it through.” Either way, the target is fixed: “It’s Rome, Rome, Rome.”
Where it stands
Kamu comes up to hand Devens two things: a warning that Rome is about to pitch a veto-on-Lyric / put-me-up-instead “peace treaty,” and intel that the only people naming Devens as a target are Rome and Mallory (“you and D”) — everyone else is upset with Rome and Jason. Devens has already prepped Jason that he’s staying on the block as the vote to take out Rome, is pre-empting Rome’s “he lied to me” campaign by admitting it to the house first, and frames the shot as worth burning the HOH on for the group. Melody comes off the block as a trust-building move — both read her as riding with Kamu and Drew now. Jason is the agreed next target. The bottom line, repeated: it has to be Rome.
2:30 pm Feeds

The corny whirlwind romance with Rome and Lyric is not what it seems. I don’t know what her deal is but she is doing Rome wrong in there. I can’t say straight up that she is playing him but he for sure is being disrespected by her. Last night was very eye opening.
If/When Rome is evicted on Thursday, how long does it take Lyric to be in another showmance? Friday? Saturday?
She damn sure knows how to work her wiles. I pity any man she gets her hooks into. Poor Rome. She got him.
with who? i don’t really see her and drew happening, and the other guys have less sex appeal than taking a cold shower.
It looks like any dude with a ripped up body from this small sample size. She’s shameless.
I say she’s shameless because she’s just spent the last couple three days telling Rome how much she LOVES him while openly, flirting, and even getting handsey with Kamu and Chuk in front of Rome.
I dont think Rome will be evicted on Thursday night. Why? Because he’s the only person worth watching from the underdogs side. The entire house is an alliance together against him. America can’t stand unfairness and mob bully mentality. The diary room will find ways to plant seeds of doubt in the minds of those with power who have the ‘evict Rome’ frame of mind. You’ll see
Melody on Jason last night: “I don’t believe a thing that mofo says. He could say he loves his mom”.
This week on Survivor, Tribe Icon once again wins immunity sending Tribe Houseguests to Tribal Council where one will be voted out of the tribe. Who will survive? Tune in this Thursday on Surviv-err I mean Big Brother!
I’m not gonna lie. Dee and Rick in there definitely have everybody else at a disadvantage. They’re too good/smart/experienced. The house may get them in the end. We’ll see.
It’s not because they’re ex Survivor players, It’s because they’re two of the best survivor players ever. And that’s really saying something. The average Survivor player would probably have a minimal advantage if any.
The only thing they have going against them is numbers, but as is ALWAYS the case, the newbies are so busy worshiping them, and wanting to work with them, they don’t realize the best thing to do for their OWN games would be to align together against all three “icons” and get them out first. Of course in order to do that they would also have to overcome production’s attempts to protect the stuntcasts, which they clearly are doing by basically gifting them the first HOH, and then doing this America’s Vote deal, where they know “America” will vote for the stuntcast to win probably the first three weeks in a row, providing (possibly) even further protection.
“The House has spoken”
In my studio working tonight, so I will most likely not have any review for anyone that missed the episode. Sorry. Gotta pay the bills.
