BB28 · UPDATED MON 21 SEP, 2:07PM
Most recently evicted: Melody
Still in the house: 4 houseguests
Veto ceremony still to come.
Five houseguests are left in Big Brother 28. Devens is Head of Household, Melody and Drew are on the block, and Drew has won the Power of Veto. This page is the week-by-week record of how the season got here — every Head of Household, nomination, veto and eviction, taken from the live feeds on the night it happened. For today’s updates as they come in, follow the live feed coverage on the front page.
Who is still in the Big Brother 28 house?
Five, after a double eviction took the house from seven to five on 17 September.
- Devens — Icon. Head of Household this week. Two Blockbuster wins.
- Dee — Icon. The last two Icons are the last two Survivor players.
- Drew — nominated, and holding the veto. Won the Pressure Cooker after 14 hours 19 minutes.
- Melody — nominated. Won the Week 10 Blockbuster and the Head of Household that followed it.
- Taylor — on the block five times across the season and still here.
Both remaining Icons are still in. Three of the five newbies who ran the house after the merge — Barrett, Yash and Angela — are in jury.
Who was evicted in the Big Brother 28 double eviction?
Barrett went first, then Yash — the two newbies who had held the previous two Heads of Household, gone inside the same hour.
Melody won the BB Blockbuster and took herself off a block that had held her, Taylor and Barrett. That left Barrett next to Taylor, and the house did what it had spent all week saying it would do. Devens, Dee and Drew voted Barrett out; Melody was the only vote for Taylor. Barrett evicted 3–1.
Melody won the Head of Household that followed and nominated both Icons, Devens and Dee. Devens won the veto and used it on himself, and Melody put Yash up in his place. Devens and Drew voted to evict Yash, Taylor voted to evict Dee. Yash evicted 2–1, three weeks after a $5,000 BB Bribe had made him the most protected player in the house.
Who won Head of Household and the veto this week?
Devens is Head of Household for the first time, and by his own account walked into it sideways: “I didn’t even realize I had to nominate people.” He nominated Melody and Drew, the two newbies who put him and Dee on the block during the double.
All five houseguests played in the veto, which at this stage of the game makes nominations close to decorative. Drew won it — his second veto in two weeks — and told Taylor the plan out loud.
The veto ceremony has not happened yet. When Drew comes down, Devens names a replacement, and the block is set for Thursday.
When does Big Brother 28 end?
Julie Chen read the rest of the season out at the end of double eviction night, and it is not the usual Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday pattern. Two Friday episodes inside eight days, and the final three in place by the 25th.
- Sunday 20 and Wednesday 23 September — The Pharaoh’s Curse, which in Julie’s words “sets off a special Egyptian eviction.” She gave both nights and no further detail.
- Thursday 24 and Friday 25 September — a two-night eviction event that “will leave the final three in place.”
- The three-part final Head of Household and the finale — no date announced.
How many houseguests go in the Egyptian week was not stated. Five are left and three must be standing by Friday the 25th, so at least two more evictions are coming in that stretch.

How the Big Brother 28 twists work
Two things have shaped this season more than anything the houseguests decided.
The BB Blockbuster puts three houseguests on the block instead of two. On eviction night one of the three wins their way off and the remaining two face the vote. It has saved Devens twice and Melody once, and it is the reason a nominee this season is never quite dead. How the BB Blockbuster works.
Icons versus newbies split the house from the start. The Icons ran the first half; the newbies took over after the merge and then spent three straight weeks nominating each other. Both surviving Icons are still in the game, and the newbie bloc is down to three people who have all now put each other on the block.
Why the feeds are ahead of the show
Competition results reach the live feeds hours before they reach the broadcast, and often days. A Head of Household won on Thursday night is not shown on CBS until the following Sunday. Nominations happen Friday and air Sunday. The veto is played Saturday and aired Wednesday.
We cover all of it as it happens, around the clock, from the feeds themselves. This page holds the season’s record week by week; the front page carries the updates as they land, hour by hour.
