Drew won the final Power of Veto on Big Brother 28, and with it the only vote that matters this week. Taylor is Head of Household and nominated Drew and Dee. At the ceremony Drew takes himself off, Devens goes up in his place, and Drew casts the only vote to evict — Dee or Devens, the two Survivor players. He took the win hard — emotional afterwards, talking as if to Melody, saying he knows what she would want him to do and doesn’t know if he can do it. Later, to Dee, he called it a telenovela: the kid in the house choosing between his dad and his big sister.
Both of them went straight to work. Dee told the cameras she would give Drew time to sit with his feelings, then pin every big move of the season on Devens — Rome, Kamu — and sell herself and Taylor as the easier opponents in the final Head of Household. Taylor is on her side: she told Dee that Devens has the best chance of anyone to win, that Drew takes first place if he cuts him, and that her line to Drew will be that keeping Devens is signing up for second. Devens spent part of the afternoon alone in the gym in tears, then laid out his own pitch. He is relieved he never had to decide whether to cut Dee himself, and plans to tell Drew he won’t get Devens’ jury vote if he sends him out — while admitting to the cameras he would probably vote for him anyway. His plan for the next day: “pull a rabbit out of a hat.”
Final four: Taylor (Head of Household), Drew (veto), Dee and Devens. Taylor and Drew are into the final three.
The block: Drew comes off at the veto ceremony and Devens goes up in his place. Dee and Devens are the final two nominees, and Drew has the only vote to evict.
4:20 PM — Dee and Drew
Drew: “Am I gonna be mad that you didn’t include me in that?”
Dee: “We couldn’t, like, sit there and say, here’s our whole alliance, you know what I mean? Because nobody knew that we were working together. I don’t think anyone suspected it.”
Drew: “Well, now they do.”
Dee: “I think it got to a point where we started hanging out publicly a lot.”
Drew: “That was during my HOH.”
Dee: “Yeah, at that point we couldn’t hide it.”
Drew: “And then it was pretty obvious once Barrett put you guys up. It was like, why are they so hurt? It’s like, oh — because they’ve been working since day two.”
Dee: “Dude, that sucked. I’m literally telling him exactly what’s gonna happen. He chose not to believe it. Because it could have gone very different had he not done that. We could have taken Yash out. I didn’t even choose Yash for the medieval times, you know what I mean? And literally what he was telling me is, I cannot put you guys up.”
The medieval comp, and Barrett.
Dee: “I wanted to choose you and Barrett. Until Haley came in and was like, oh, nobody’s going to choose me. And then we called Barrett over and he was like, okay with it. Did he feel bad about it?”
Drew: “He kind of felt weird about it. But also, I was like, dude, you should have, like, stood up.”
Dee: “Like, you didn’t say anything. He said he was cool with it.”
Drew: “But that’s the one thing Barrett never did, is Barrett never spoke up. Like, ever.”
Dee: “So the two people that cannot compete, that need to be saved — Melody and Angela.”
Drew: “Oh, the two blondes.”
Drew: “When Barrett was like, are you going to use it on me? And I was like, dude, you’re 28 years old. Go out there and win it.”
Dee: “He was in his bed, like, all down when you were outside. And I was like, Barrett, are you okay?”
Drew: “During your HOH, she was like, there’s a group of four in this house.”
Dee: “Who are the four?”
Drew: “It was me, Melody, Barrett and Mallory. Then she stopped herself.”
Dee: “Yeah, her and Melody always had, like, a little clash too. I was on Melody’s side, though, even though I was working with Haley. I understand Melody. I can feel her.”
Dee: “Melody eating cake and all.”
Drew: “I brought it to her. It was from her HOH. Because she was sad.”
Drew: “She was all sad, so I went into her HOH thing and I grabbed her the cake and a fork.”
Then Drew asks whether Devens took it personally when Drew put him up as the renom on his week.
Dee: “A part of him did, yes.”
Drew: “Really? That’s so sad.”
Dee: “I don’t think it was a personal thing. I think it was just more the possibility. It wasn’t personal.”
And then the question he actually came in with.
Drew: “I thought when he put me up last week that if Melody won it, you guys were going to vote me out.”
Dee: “No, hell no.”
Drew: “Even if Melody won it, you would put Taylor out?”
Dee: “Yes, because we were going to go to final three. Are you f—ing kidding me?”
She thought at first he meant the week Yash put Drew, Melody and Barrett up — and admits that one was different.
Dee: “Well, if Barrett had, like, stayed. It was a talk. For sure, that was that. But last week? F— no.”
Dee: “Was he telling you otherwise?”
Drew: “No, I’m just asking.”
She is glad he won the veto for himself, she says, but part of her wishes she had been the one to win it, so she could show him. “But everything works out the way it’s supposed to.”
Dee: “It was never even a thought. I promise. On him or me, none of us brought it up.”
Dee: “But even, like, let’s say even if votes weren’t there and Devens would have tied — he would have not sent you home last week. No, I’m telling you, it was not even a conversation.”
Drew: “I can’t wait to watch your guys’ mummy thing.”
Dee: “I just kept hitting this f—ing mummy. And at the end, I was like, all right, you’re going up.”
Meanwhile in the HOH
6:16 PM — Devens and Drew
Half an hour, most of it Devens’ pitch.
Devens: “Do you want me to cry and lay my head in your lap, just to give you a sense of normalcy?”
Devens: “That’s a lot. You had to do a lot of emotional… emotion management.”
Drew: “Yeah, it’s like, maybe I, like, should have started hanging out with Lyric. Because I didn’t feel like she was doing stuff like that.”
Devens: “Maybe just not with you.”
Drew: “So I’d walk out in the backyard and be like… I was like, I’m sorry. Just, like, beeline to the hammock. Stay in the hammock. I’m on the furthest possible part of the yard.”
Drew: “She’s like, Drew, you won the veto again. How dare you? You bastard. You make this game so hard.”
Devens: “Wait a second. Oh, no, I guess she thought you were… she thought you would go if you didn’t get it.”
Drew: “Yeah.”
Devens: “Because she didn’t ever understand… that we were… That still blows my mind.”
Drew had quietly told Devens he could mention him in his veto speech. He never told Melody.
Drew: “I never told her that I allowed — I was like, yeah, like, during your veto thing, like, if you want to mention me, go ahead.”
Devens: “You didn’t tell her that part?”
Drew: “Yeah.”
Devens: “So when I mentioned that, she’s just like—”
Drew: “She was like… she’s like, they hate you. I don’t think I said that to anybody.”
Drew: “Did you tell Dee?”
Devens: “No.”
Devens: “They thought I was really stupid.”
Drew: “Yeah, that’s really funny. And Melody thought I was really stupid. She was like… dog, can’t you see that? And I was like, I don’t think Devens is.”
Devens: “I guess here’s the Cliff Notes version of my pitch.”
Drew: “Yeah, I’d love to hear, like, a full—”
Devens: “I’ll give you the full one. We have all day tomorrow, right? But it’s pretty simple.”
Devens: “Like, the fact that even today, after the thing, we walked in on those two having wine in the room. Kind of weird, right? Secretly. Like, I think you peeked in, and someone was hiding. Pretty weird.”
Devens: “They’re definitely not going to take you, if you guys are the final three. I would take you. I think that’s been our plan almost all season.”
Devens: “And then if you’re in the final two with Dee, you’ll lose. I think so. Like, I think she gets everyone except Barrett and Melody.”
Drew: “Do you think I win next to you?”
Devens: “I don’t know if I win next to anybody, which is kind of sad. I think next to… well, first of all, I would take you. And then next to me, you also get Barrett and Melody.”
Devens: “Yash is a wild card for us. I don’t think he’s a wild card for Dee. Lala is a wild card for us. I don’t think she’s a wild card for Dee.”
Devens: “And then Taylor, I think, is also a wild card for you and I, but not for Dee. That’s what I’m saying. So do I think your chances are a lot better against me? Yeah.”
Drew: “Right now, I feel like I’m in a spot where, no matter if I do get to bring anybody, I think I’m second place at best. I don’t think I could beat any of you guys, which is tough.”
Devens: “Well, then all the more reason you should bring me.”
Devens: “When I walked in, she had the wine in her hand. I’m like, oh, you guys were just secretly having wine together?”
Drew: “But also, you didn’t put her up last week. I was, like, kind of sussed out on you. I was like, are you saving her?”
Devens: “The reason I didn’t put her up was because I still don’t know if you would take Melody over me. Because you could beat Melody. Like, if right now I was up against Melody, I’d be like, I am screwed. Because you can beat Melody. And you’re really close to Melody. That’s why.”
Drew: “No, I think that was a good… like, in a vacuum. I was in there going like, he’s not an idiot. That’s the right thing to do, to ensure the fact that I don’t do that, even if I would or wouldn’t.”
Devens: “It’s great that you won veto, but it’s also like, I couldn’t prove to you, because you won veto.”
Drew: “It’s like this whole game, all three of the Icons have never proven to me that they’re working with me. I’ve never had the opportunity to see it in return.”
Devens: “I think you know I’ve been the most.”
Drew: “I do think you’ve been the most.”
Devens: “And listen, like, 100%, Dee and I have been lockstep the whole game. Like, we’ve been a tight duo the whole game. We’ve done most everything together.”
Devens: “But I’m also not stupid. Her jury with you is her jury with me… She gets Angela, she gets Lala, she gets Taylor. Yash, probably. But Yash is such a bro. Melody over me.”
Devens: “I could not go to the end with Dee.”
Devens: “Yeah, Yash is a bit of a wild card. Because he will respect comps more than anybody else.”
Drew: “And, like, you and me are, like, the same. Like, actually, we have pretty much the exact same record.”
Devens: “So far. And then the final three favors you, I think.”
Drew: “Don’t really know. I could see you winning it. I could see Taylor winning it. Because the last part is, like, who knows the jury. And then we’re both screwed, and then she wins the whole thing. If she brings either of us, we lose. Yeah, probably, ’cause they’re gonna be like, you guys suck.”
Drew: “I would be so pissed if the four Crossover people that are in the jury don’t vote for somebody who’s in the Crossover. Like, I hope if it’s Taylor against either one of… can we just give it to them? But I don’t think Angela thinks that way. And I don’t know if Dee does either. I think Dee does. I don’t know.”
Drew: “But I also wouldn’t be surprised if Yash didn’t vote for Taylor.”
Devens: “I can see it going either way.”
Drew: “Everyone has a chance to win this whole thing. And I feel like I have the least, which is, like, annoying.”
Devens: “I feel like you and I are in very similar boats.”
Devens: “When I said I would take you, I would have taken you. And I still will.”
Drew: “It just sucks because I haven’t seen either of you guys do anything for me.”
Drew: “The one thing, like, that I was like, oh, cool, was, like, the Lyric–Melody flip. But, like, every other time, it’s like, I’ve just gotten myself out of it.”
Drew: “I honestly do feel like next to you it’s a crapshoot, which is, like, better than sitting next to one of them. Because it’s like, especially how close she’s gotten to her for the past two or three weeks.”
Devens: “But you’ve gotten close to her, too, man.”
Drew: “Taylor? But, like, am I as close to her as Dee? Like, not even.”
Drew: “Because I was like, oh, Taylor, I’ll talk to you about it. See where her head’s at… Oh, Drew would take me over Dee. I don’t know. I’m curious to see what she’s going to say.”
Devens: “But that’s my outline of the pitch.”
Drew: “Because you would have Dee, and you would have Angela. And I would have Barrett and Melody. And then… the three people I put up. Yash, the guy I voted out. Lala, who went home on my HOH.”
Devens: “It’s Yash, who I slimed twice… Diamond Power of Veto and the 5K tattle.”
Devens: “Lala, who… I’ve been told we didn’t have the best relationship. Hard to say. And then Taylor, who knows?”
Drew: “I could see her going either way.”
Drew: “And I do 100% believe that if you won that final HOH, you would take me.”
Drew: “I don’t know what you’d have done, genuinely, if you won this one.”
Devens: “I think I’d be insane. It would literally be the hardest thing I’ve had to do in three seasons of reality TV.”
Drew: “But I meant this one. Like, if we were swapped, and you had the veto… and I’m like, I don’t know. Because, like, you didn’t want to piss her off last week.”
Devens: “And dude, if Melody was here instead of Taylor, and I was in your spot, that would be really hard. Because I’d be like, Drew’s going to take Melody over me. That’s not good. But with you and Dee, I’m like, I think they would both take me. And one, I have a chance against. And one, I have no chance against.”
Drew: “Have you seen season 16? Like, what Derrick won?”
Devens: “Yeah, I did see that. He had to choose between Cody and somebody, right?”
Devens: “I don’t think you and me win against Dee. Like, genuinely.”
Devens: “Dude, we’ve been saying all season it’s got to be the two of us in the end. And that’s exactly how I feel about it.”
Devens: “Like, dude, I love Dee, but I’m not going to the end with someone I know I’m going to lose to.”
He plays out the call home if he took Dee and lost.
Devens: “I couldn’t bring home $750,000… I’m sorry… are you kidding? Yeah, and then you would be single.”
Devens: “I hope she wouldn’t care that much, but now I’d be in trouble.”
Devens: “That’s like, all season Dee said she’s gonna take me, and, like, I kind of believe her, because she knows she’d beat me. It’s easy. And so, like, maybe she’d take you to the final two, but she knows she’d beat you. So why wouldn’t she take you to the final two?”
Devens: “Of course I would not take Taylor to the final two. Because I think I’d lose to her.”
Devens: “But I would absolutely take you to the final two. And maybe lose, but I’d feel a lot more comfortable at that. And I feel like my chances are better, I mean, if I’m just being honest, because we pissed off the same people.”
Drew: “I think you’d probably beat me. But I’d know. I’d know. That’s why it sucks for me.”
Devens: “I would take you, and then we’d duke it out and see how hard this anti-Icon sentiment is.”
Drew: “I’m wondering if it’s going to be positive or if it’s going to be negative.”
Devens: “It’s been pretty negative all season.”
Drew: “It has. You don’t want someone to win. But if you go to the end, they might just give you props for being there.”
Devens: “I do not swear and promise on my kids. You know that. But, like, dude, I am… I would take you to the final two. It just makes sense. And it’s what I would want to do.”
Drew tells him it would be the most Devens move there is — bringing the youngest person in the house to the end.
Devens: “I love a good story. I mean, father-son at the end would be crazy. But we’d still have to make sure we beat Taylor.”
Drew: “And, like, that’s where I’m at. That would be hard to do… Do I want to, like, test my luck and see if I can win two more comps? Or do I want to have, like, a dude that would probably win at least one of the two?”
Devens: “The one I got picked for was the frickin’ pressure cooker. I still went, like, seven and a half hours. I was really impressed for me.”
Drew: “I just learned that it was 13 and a half. So you went, like, halfway, which is cool.”
Devens: “So I felt good about that until you guys went on and just did it so much longer.”
Devens: “We can talk about it again tomorrow. I’ll leave it at that for now. That was just my pitch, and I know you have a lot of talking to do.”
Drew: “I want to talk to all three and see what people say.”
Devens: “But I want to continue to needle you with it.”
Drew: “Yeah, we have all day tomorrow and then Thursday.”
Devens: “And it’s a huge decision. I mean, and again, you earned it. Like, it’s pretty freaking cool. And as we discussed, like, it sucks. Like, we all fought our ass off to get the worst decision of the whole season.”
Drew: “But even looking at the board… Dee was, like, working Taylor and Melody all week.”
Devens: “That’s like, when she tells me, like, she would take me over you, I do believe her.”
Drew: “Wait, what?”
Devens: “That’s like when she tells me — has been telling me — like, she would take me over you. Like, I believe her, because she’d have her own Survivor final two, and she’d win. Like, why wouldn’t you do that?”
Devens: “But, like, as you and I have discussed for quite a while, like, I know. I’m not trying to draw dead in a final.”
Drew: “And, like, I never watched her season, but, like, is she good at public speaking?”
Devens: “Yeah. She’s pretty good.”
Drew: “And I know you are too… And I’m like, oh s—. Like, I’m 22 years old. I could barely get my lines out for the veto.”
Devens: “Well, these will be your own lines. You’ll do great, whoever you’re against.”
Devens: “But yeah, she crushed Final Tribal. And that was against her showmance, Austin.”
Drew: “I’m just going to keep saying I don’t know. Because, like, I’m going to talk to everybody.”
Devens: “Sleep on it, talk to everybody. You got time.”
Drew: “It’s the one time, like — oh, I actually know. I had one with Yash and Dee. But that felt, like, kind of like a no-brainer.”
Devens: “This one. You already threw her a bone… throw me a bone.”
Drew: “Throw me a bone. I think I said that to you last week.”
Devens: “You might have. Maybe that’s where I got it from. I think I might have said that to you earlier in the season. When you were HOH.”
Drew: “Before or after you volunteered?”
Devens: “After. When I clearly regretted it. There was still a lot of time after I clearly regretted it. But you were like, no, you already said—”
Drew: “I was like, dude — no take backs.”
Drew: “You know everybody in that jury house wants to see you, though. Walk through those doors. Probably as much as they want to see me.”
Devens: “I have thought about that. How a crowd pleaser that would be, right? Smiles on their faces.”
Meanwhile in the HOH
Drew…who cares if you hurt someone’s feelings. Play the game in front of you, be selfish and make a possible game winning move….evict Devens !!!
No evicting Dee is the right move. Devens was more loyal to him. Dee almost voted him out a couple times already. Dee needs to go.
There are $1million reasons why Dee should go.
If he takes Devin’s he for sure loses. He gets second. I say kick Devin’s to the curb and ride with Taylor he has a better shot of maybe winning. But taking Devin’s he has 0 shot

YES!!!!! Now just get Dee out! Then hopeful Drew and Devans final 2. They gotta know the way Jury’s have been these recent years why they can very easily vote for taylor. But 1st let’s just hope Drew isn’t dumb enough to keep Dee. All he did was favors for her all game and she treated him like trash.
i haven’t been posting because it’s really hard to care about this season. it’s kinda bb13 all over again, but this group is easily more likeable than rachel, adam, and porsche (i was kinda fine with jordan). i don’t really hate anyone. i don’t really like anyone either.
whoever drew keeps probably wins. drew and taylor’s only shot is against each other and it still feels like they’re each other’s target. i don’t care about the outcome. i probably won’t hate it as no one remaining is that bad. but i’m unlikely to love it either. just a boring season.
Agreed that it is a boring season. I am shocked that Drew won the final POV but really don’t care who wins at this point.
For the first time, production didnt help the Icons. Without an twists to save them, the Icons ended up on the block because they couldnt win HOH or POV by themselves.
Joke asides best move to Drew is evicting Devans because he is only real treat to win final HOH. If I want this happening? Hell no. Drew is unlikeable player

I do not think i believe Yash is team taylor as much as many would believe. His game behavior… does not bode well. Truth: Yash considered Taylor the lay up. He’s the biggest justify your comp wins guy to contend with on jury.
Barrett did not respect Drew in his game. That is why he wanted to take him final 2.. to clean his clock in votes. Barrett didn’t think Taylor had a worthy game. She preferred to keep both survivors when she had the shot on Barrett’s HOH… so is he going to say you wanted them in final 2… pay the price.
Only things of a positive light: the ‘survivors already had their shot’ attitude of Melody and sometimes Barrett and sometimes LaTrice and sometimes Barrett…. but. big but. Attitude of houseguests about how they played the game says more than jury q/a. Most times the decision IS made before the round table.
Looking at that jury… HOW do YOU find a Newb winner?
By that logic, wait….logic doesn’t apply to this season…but anyway, by that logic if Drew hopes to have any chance at winning he will evict Devens because he is a better competitor for that final HOH, and then cut Dee should he win that final HOH. But I have no understanding of what Drew has been thinking all season, so…whatever.

Would have been Devens if not for production fouling up the entire game. Just way too many advantages to overlook and I’m definitely not down with that weasel/Vinny style game Drew played.

What if I were to tell you that realistically Dee is an even bigger weasel than Drew? Look at the number of alliances she burned weekly.
Look at her tendency to offer safety and then directly contradict that to target the person she offered safety. I expected her to say kick yer feet up every time she had any power whatsoever. iykyk.
So Drew is the obvious weasel of the season…. but Dee is the big weasel it’s just a conversation most people didn’t want to have all season.
I don’t completely disagree with weasel, I see it but I really associate her with sharks.
She’s real deal treacherous. Probably in life as well.
I find a Newb winner as follows:
1) Taylor needs to win Final4 HOH. ??
2) Drew needs to win Final4 Veto. ??
3) Drew needs to cut Rick.?more likable & better @ comps than Dee?
4) A Newb needs to win the Final3 HOH & take the other Newb to Final2.
THAT’S how we get a Newb winner!
P.S. And, if there’s ANY karma in the world, Taylor gets more jury votes than The Weasel & she gets the $750 k. I hate having to allocate ANYTHING to The Weasel, let alone $75 k. But, that’s the ONLY WAY to guarantee a Newb winner!

It’s hard to criticize anyone’s gameplay when we don’t know how things would have played out without the icon storyline. Who knows how the alliances would have otherwise formed. The first head of household often sets the tone for the game and the only possible winners were the icons. If that weren’t enough, they were given advantages. Their strategy was to align with the stronger players for protection until they had an opportunity to cut them. Laying low is a strategy when you know the stronger players are being targeted. Winning the critical HOH that takes you to the final 3 and gives you a chance to win is as worthy as how anyone else gets to the final 3.
I am both a Big Brother and a Survivor fan. However, I think it would be poetic justice for the BB newbies to Outwit, Outplay, and Outlast the Survivor players regardless of how they got to the final.
