Devens, Barrett

A slow morning before a loud afternoon. The houseguests got to sleep in, the backyard is closed and nominations come later today — and the only name anybody expects to hear is Drew’s. He spent the morning at the kitchen table doing the arithmetic on how much of the house Yash gets to put up, without appearing to notice he is the answer.

Where the day stands: Yash is Head of Household. Seven houseguests left. Backyard closed, nominations later today, and this week’s veto is the Pressure Cooker.

Drew is the target, and he does not know it. Taylor set the board with Yash in the storage room overnight — Devens is safe on a handshake, Barrett and Melody get told they are not the target, and Drew is the name at the front.

At the kitchen table he worked out the shape of it anyway. Drew: “Let’s have Yash nominate half the house.” Devens: “And with the renom — literally more than half.” Then the vote math — four votes and a tiebreaker — which Drew confirmed without flinching.

Barrett has removed himself from the house. Lying down in the have-not room, avoiding everybody, and telling Melody she is the exception: “You’re like the one person I care to be around.”

8:26 am Houseguest got to sleep in.

Backyard is closed and Nominations are later today. From what I gather Drew is the target.

10:00 am waking up

10:04 AM — Taylor, Drew and Devens (Kitchen)

Taylor is at the sink. Drew, Yash and Barrett are around the main table.

Taylor: “It’s usually, like, one or two more until jury, so hopefully that was the last one.”
Drew: “You hope this last one was the last one?”
Taylor: “It’s usually, like, one or two once you make—”
Drew: “I could see them being like… one more.”
Taylor: “Another one.”

Then Drew, with Yash sitting at the same table.

“Let’s have Yash nominate half the house.”

— Drew

Taylor: “Right. Like, why the f—?”
Devens: “And with the renom — literally more than half.”
Drew: “I could see that just being, like… especially the way that things have played out. I can see them being like, hmm. Look what we got in store.”
Drew: “And then Thursday being the double.”

Devens: “Is it four votes and a tiebreaker? Is that where we’re at?”
Drew: “Yeah.”

11:05 am Everyone milling around

11:30 AM — Yash, Barrett and Melody (Bathroom)

Yash: “I was talking to Melody a little bit just now, because Devens is listening to music up there.”

Yash goes into the stall. Melody walks in.

Melody: “How are you?”
Barrett: “Oh, just dandy.”
Barrett: “I’ve been just in the have-not room, lying down. It’s been nice, though. I don’t really want to be around people.”

“Well, I’ll be around you. You’re like the one person I care to be around.”

— Barrett, to Melody

Barrett: “But I’ve been trying to think about everything that’s not this. It has been helping a lot.”
Barrett: “What you up to?”
Melody: “Drinking coffee.”
Barrett: “Yeah, I was thinking about grabbing more of that.”

Melody: “What time is it? I haven’t checked again. Maybe 11:30?”
Barrett: “It is exactly 11:30.”

The longest competition in Big Brother history
What is the Pressure Cooker?

Eight houseguests, one button each, and a rule that you can only leave in groups of three. In 2005 it ran for close to fourteen hours — and ended with a deal that got the most popular player in the house evicted a week after America voted him back in.

Ok so yash can’t nominate dee or devens but can he re nominate them if veto is played

Gizmo

We’ll see I guess or production will make up something lol

Sobriquet

Taylor could be nominated. So if Taylor wins the veto and takes one of his nominees down, then he has to put up either Dee or Devens.

D'Angela McDevens

Ideally Drew, Barrett, Melody on the block. Taylor gets picked for veto & wins. Taylor takes Melody off the block. Devens is replacement nominee. Drew gets evicted unanimously in a turkey or chicken outfit from whatever farm themed competition is played.

Racinjunki

What’s the official word on who Yash can nominate? AND renom if someone comes down during the veto? From what I see, he’ll nominate Drew, Barrett, and Melody; Taylor would have to go up as the renom since he still can’t nominate Dee or Devins. Or am I misunderstanding the bribe?

bon Hurley

Yash seems to think if for example Taylor was not on the block and won veto and took Melody down then he could put up Dee or Devens. But that’s not what Yash agreed to So no idea how it would work. Dee or Devens could sue BB for breach of contract. My hunch is it will only be two houseguest put up and no more blockbuster.

the deal said if mathmatically possible, so yes if Taylor took down Melody Dee or Devens would have to go up

Zoe803

It is what he agreed to. He agreed to not nominate them unless there was no other choice.

The Beef

Sure it is! They agreed he wouldn’t put them up “as long as it made sense mathematically”. If Taylor wins Veto and therefore has immunity from being a re-nom, why should she be punished for a bribe agreement made between Yash and Dee? In that case she is just as immune from being nominated as the HOH is, and there’s no way production can take that away from her logically.

My guess is she just wouldn’t use it, but if she does that, she’s just throwing more gasoline on the bridges that are already burning between her, Yash, Melody and Barrett.

Icons need to go

Where do you get these ideas? Your comment doesn’t make any sense. Sue big brother for breach of contract? Hilarious!

The Beef

The way Dee seems to think it works (the “as long as it makes sense mathematically” stipulation), if he makes the nominations you suggest, and anyone but Taylor wins and uses the veto, then Taylor goes up. If Taylor wins and uses it, he HAS to be able to put up either Dee or Devens, since they are the only two players left.

That’s why they said “as long as it makes sense mathematically”. They cannot override Taylor’s Veto protection if she wins, based on a bribe agreement she wasn’t a party to.

Ribbet

How is Drew going to last for any time without his hairbrush!

Backseat Driver

I hope that little worm goes next. Useless….

Chichi

Little worm, HA! I just spit out my drink in laughter! Thanks, I needed that!

Hinky Vote

Oh, the horror.
