The feeds went dark on Thursday night and came back on Saturday afternoon a day ahead of schedule, and the house that came back is not the one that went away. Haley is gone, her photo greyed out on the memory wall, and nothing on the feeds shows how she left. Drew won Head of Household and nominated Lala, Taylor and Yash. By the time the sun went down he had asked the Icons to handle Melody for him, and Zingbot had come and gone entirely behind the blackout.

Where the week stands: Drew is Head of Household. Lala, Taylor and Yash are on the block. The veto has not been played. Nine houseguests are left.

Haley is gone and nothing shows how: the feeds cut on Thursday and returned Saturday afternoon with her picture in greyscale on the memory wall. There is no footage of an eviction, a ceremony or an exit, and the house has not been heard discussing it on camera since.

Drew went from declaring for the Icons to running the week: the last thing he was heard saying before the blackout was to Devens in the gym on Thursday night — “now you guys don’t have to worry where I’m at.” Devens told him in the same conversation that it would be great if the next Head of Household were him. It was.

And he nominated two of the four people Barrett had counted: on Wednesday night Barrett and Yash counted a side — the two of them plus Mallory, Melody and Lala. Mallory was evicted on Thursday. Drew has now put Yash and Lala on the block. The only two of the five he has not touched are Barrett and Melody.

He has asked the Icons to handle Melody for him: Devens, in the backyard, relaying it to Dee and Angela — “and he wants us to do the dirty work with Melody.” Dee: “Oh, we will.” Devens: “First chance we get.” Melody is not on his block because Drew would rather somebody else took her off the board.

The Icons do not want Yash to go: Dee, just before six — “I think that he needs to stay in this game still. If one of us wins the veto and keeps noms the same, I pray that Yash comes back. It would be so stupid to get rid of him.” Angela: “I don’t want him gone.” They are protecting the man they paid $5,000 in Week 7. Asked to choose between the other two, Dee took Lala: “I would rather have Lala gone because she is a better competitor. We keep Yash as a shield.”

Devens has volunteered for the Blockbuster: “I’m a better competitor than her, so put me in the Blockbuster, since I’m totally safe anyway… it just builds more trust with them.” The same conversation had him turning on his own side — “you two scare me” — until Dee conceded she would at least think about cutting Melody, and Angela shut it down: “we can’t blindside them right now.”

Where the split is: the veto decides it. Drew, Dee, Barrett, Yash, Lala, Melody and Taylor were all reported as playing, and the Icons think Melody will use it if she wins — Dee, playing her out loud: “now I have the power to do something for my game.” If the noms hold, the Icons have the votes and Lala is the name. If Yash or Lala comes down, Drew picks a replacement, and the two people he has conspicuously not nominated are the two who voted to keep Mallory.

Still unconfirmed
How Haley left the house. Whether jury has started. What the Head of Household competition was. Nothing between Thursday night and Saturday afternoon was on camera, and the house has not recapped it out loud since the feeds returned.

Storage room – Barrett and Dee
Barrett – imagine the feeds just came back on after being off for two days. Dee – Two Days? Yeah because the episode would be tomorrow right? Today is saturday right? HOH and Zingbot? BB switches the feeds

Angela and and Dee
Angela – question, who is going up? Dee – I think Devens. I am not. Angela – I already did. You already did. Dee – figure it the fk out. It’s not my problem. And I already told Devens its a stupid a idea. Dee – you should never that. Angela – I said i was going to do that to the kids when they said they were going to save me but when it comes down to it .. Dee – of course not figure it out. Put your girlfriend in there (Melody)Because that is just saying you can use us as a pawn.. you can actually not..

5:55 PM — Angela and Dee

The feeds have been back for the better part of an hour without a word of strategy on them. This is the first.

Dee: “I think that he needs to stay in this game still. If one of us wins the veto and keeps noms the same, I pray that Yash comes back. It would be so stupid to get rid of him.”
Angela: “I don’t want him gone.”

“I pray that Yash comes back. It would be so stupid to get rid of him.”

— Dee

They work through what happens if somebody comes off the block. Devens has apparently offered himself as a pawn. Dee’s suggestion is that Drew put up his girlfriend.

Then Angela asks her to rank the two she is willing to lose.

Angela: “Are you saying you would rather have Lala or Taylor gone?”
Dee: “I would rather have Lala gone because she is a better competitor. We keep Yash as a shield.”

“I would rather have Lala gone because she is a better competitor. We keep Yash as a shield.”

— Dee

It is the argument Devens made about Mallory a week ago, with the names swapped: the better competitor goes, the one who is useful to them stays.

Devens comes in. Dee asks him whether he has a genius idea. He says no, and the feeds switch away.

5:57 PM — Drew and Melody (HOH)

Drew goes up to his Head of Household room for the first time since the feeds came back, to put his music on. Melody is in and out of it, lying on the bed, drinking his Coke.

Drew: “I’ve got a veto to win.”
Melody: “Yeah right, I’m going to win.”

“I’ve got a veto to win.” — “Yeah right, I’m going to win.”

— Drew and Melody

Four days ago she told him “literally, f— you” and refused to let him touch her. Two days ago she told Barrett that Drew had answered the question of who goes next by naming her and not him. She is not talking game in the room now, and she is not on his block.

The feeds cut away from the two of them.

Devens, Dee and Angela (Backyard)

They are working out what Drew’s resume looks like if he takes Devens out.

Dee: “You need to understand, he has nothing on his resume.”
Devens: “He does.”
Dee: “Other than winning an HOH.”
Devens: “Yeah, he won an HOH.”
Dee: “And then take you out. Boom.”
Devens: “Look up all the good things he’s done in the last 48 hours. It’s great.”

Devens: “And then all of a sudden he has you two after him. He has Lala and Taylor after him. So he has Melody and Barrett. Yash is after him. It would make no sense.”
Angela: “That’s truth. And we have to reiterate that.”
Devens: “And that’s the whole jury.”
Dee: “You better not f—ing do anything.”

Devens: “So I’m totally fine with you guys saying, oh, man. But then if you build me up as a big threat to them, it’s like you don’t want to put it in their head either. I don’t think that they would do it at this point. I think if it was this time next week, it’d be a lot scarier.”
Devens: “I think it’s going to be one of us no matter what.”
Dee: “Yeah, of course.”

Devens: “I’ll certainly float the Melody thing if it comes to that, but you guys can certainly feel free to promote that too.”

Angela counts the veto.

Angela: “It’s three against three in the veto. The competition.”
Devens: “Yeah, two against four?”
Angela: “No, it’s three against three.”
Devens: “Dee and Drew.”
Angela: “Drew and Melody.”
Devens: “No, Melody wouldn’t pull somebody.”
Angela: “She’d pull somebody off.”

Dee: “She’d be crazy not to. She would pull Yash. Of course.”
Angela: “No, Drew will tell her no.”
Dee: “It doesn’t matter. What has Drew done against her this entire game?”
Angela: “You guys really think that?”
Dee: “Yes.”

Devens: “Drew certainly thinks that she’ll pull somebody.”
Angela: “Oh, he told you that?”
Devens: “Oh, yeah.”
Angela: “Oh, I didn’t know that.”

Dee: “He didn’t tell me, but I would do it if I was her.”
Dee: “I’m working with you, and you lie to me, and you do all of this for your game, and now I have the power to do something for my game. And I’m not going to follow somebody else in the game.”
Angela: “Wow, I did not know that.”
Dee: “Oh, she absolutely will.”

“I’m working with you, and you lie to me, and you do all of this for your game, and now I have the power to do something for my game.”

— Dee, as Melody

Devens turns it into a pitch they can make to Drew.

Devens: “She’s not with you. Like, she’s between you and getting to the end. But then it’s just like us saying we don’t trust you and Barrett, which isn’t good.”
Angela: “But putting a little doubt by planting a seed of some kind would be good. We’ve done that and it’s worked.”

“Putting a little doubt by planting a seed of some kind would be good. We’ve done that and it’s worked.”

— Angela

Dee: “If we get there, like, you’re a better competitor than her, so you keep them safer than she keeps them.”
Devens: “But even this week, it’s like, I’m a better competitor than her, so put me in the Blockbuster, since I’m totally safe anyway.”
Dee: “You’re okay with it?”
Devens: “I’m okay with it. I think it’s got to be done. And it just builds more trust with them. Like, we got you. We support you guys. Thanks for getting Mallory out.”

Devens: “And he wants us to do the dirty work with Melody.”
Dee: “Oh, we will.”
Devens: “Yeah. First chance we get.”

“And he wants us to do the dirty work with Melody.”

— Devens, on Drew

Devens: “And that’s the other thing that scares me. You two scare me. If she went up instead of me, you’d probably vote her out. Then we’d totally burn them.”
Angela: “No.”
Dee: “No, I would keep it the same. No, I would do whatever.”
Angela: “No, now, are you kidding me?”
Dee: “Yeah, I’d keep it.”
Angela: “We can’t blindside them right now.”
Dee: “We need to stay with them.”

Devens: “If she was up there against Lala or Taylor, you guys wouldn’t be like, let’s get rid of Melody.”
Dee: “Listen, would I think about it? Yeah, I’d think about it. What kind of person wouldn’t?”
Devens: “Because we’d have the votes to do it. We wouldn’t need them. We’d be the three votes.”
Dee: “I know. So I think she’d be gone. Yeah, she’d be gone, but then they’d win something and we’re gone next.”

Devens: “No, because, again, they can’t jump over to the other side.”
Dee: “You don’t know that. They will go on the other side.”
Devens: “We literally just did that with Mallory under the exact same circumstances.”
Dee: “No, but they knew.”
Devens: “And you put up even worse. Don’t act like you wouldn’t do that.”
Dee: “No, I wouldn’t do it. The Mallory was a different scenario.”

Dee: “Why are you laughing? I don’t get it.”
Devens: “I’m just laughing.”
Dee: “Are you against me right now?”
Devens: “No, I just think you’re more cutthroat than you’re getting enough credit for.”

Dee: “Would I think about it? Yes. Would I do it? No.”
Angela: “Do I love it? Yes.”
Dee: “I love the idea of it. Yes.”
Devens: “I don’t know why you wouldn’t do it.”
Dee: “See, this is the problem. The little devil on his shoulder.”

“See, this is the problem. The little devil on his shoulder.”

— Dee, on Devens

Devens: “She’s more likely to do stuff with them than any of those other three that are going to go home.”

Angela notices they are being watched from across the yard.

Angela: “It’s so funny to have little eyes on us right now. Like, that’s what I thought. Look at them three over there.”
Angela: “Like, look at them three. They got this far. They already had their turn.”
Angela: “I’ve heard that a lot. I don’t care.”

Devens: “It’s so funny. Taylor came up and her speech to me last week was like, some people say they wouldn’t even give the money to Icons because you’ve played before. And then Mallory came up and said, you should know that Taylor says she would never give the money to the Icons. And I was like, wait.”
Angela: “I was like, that’s what Taylor said. Yeah, she told me the same thing.”
Devens: “And I believe it.”
Angela: “I do too. But you know what? That’s just one person.”

Somebody comes down into the yard in costume.

Dee: “Hey, buddy. Hey, y’all. What have you been up to?”
Angela: “In this costume? No, the peasant one again.”
Angela: “They couldn’t have given him a better handkerchief or bandana, whatever you call them.”
Dee: “And Melody’s is really nice too.”
Devens: “Yeah, I like that green that Melody has on hers.”

Devens: “Hey, partner. Howdy, houseguest.”

6:30 PM — Lala and Taylor (Backyard Couch)

Lala is on the block, Drew put her there, and she is not doing a good job of hiding what she thinks of him.

Lala: “But you’re stupid. You’re a stupid sucker. Weasel.”
Lala: “I can’t even stand to look at his face.”

“You’re a stupid sucker. Weasel. I can’t even stand to look at his face.”

— Lala, on Drew

Taylor lets her run.

Lala: “I cannot stand to look at him.”
Lala: “Just ugh.”

Drew called this one himself in the gym on Thursday night: “Taylor, Lala, Yash are probably looking at me like even more of a f—ing snake.”

A minute and a half of nothing, then somebody goes inside.

Taylor: “Bye. Bye.”

Yash won the veto

d...

yay! drew forced to pick a side, and the renom definitely becomes the target as either the icons control the vote or barrett/yash/melody do.

def think drew should’ve just made the icons the initial noms.

d...

feeds down and we lose haley? meh.

also drew sucks, and should’ve put up the icons.

Gan ainm

Yeah, this is supposed to be their big twist and they get rid of the least relevant player.

Bb fan

Lala and tylor act too hatefull for him tho.

fvrplaid

So there are nine HGs left, so that would suggest they are now in jury phase. 7 jury members and the final 2. I’m going to guess that Haley being gone was one of those the first one to fail in the HOH comp is automatically evicted. That way they don’t have to do a live double eviction. Either that or since no one is saying anything they either don’t know, she self evicted for some reason, or she was removed from the game and they have been instructed not to say anything so that it can be a part of the next show.
As for the game, it seems like Drew is playing but at the same time he isn’t. I believe he said at the beginning that he was going to be the one playing both sides. Usually those who play the middle try to be a friend to everyone. Strategizing is minimal basically agreeing with what everyone in the group believes or wants. So in that sense I don’t think Drew is accomplishing what he hoped to b/c he clearly sided with the icons and is now basically playing their game and doing the work for them. I think he could have proved himself as a player more if he had sided with the others and pulled a power play by nominating all three of them. The play he chose is safe and solidifies him with the icons, but what he fails to realize is that right now at best he gets fourth place. He could pull out a crucial win, but that is luck more than guarantee. Once again there was hope to see something good and unexpected and once again disappointment.

The Beef

25, 26 and 27 had 7 jury members with 24 being the last season with 9 members. Has there been any interviews yet with Mallory, as I guess it’s still possible both she and Haley could be in sequester as the first two members of a 9 person jury?

Drew is firmly attached to Devens’ backside and is “playing” the rat game for as long as the vets will allow him to do so. He has alienated everybody in the house, and has absolutely zero chance of winning the game, because nobody will vote for him to win.

As for Haley, I’m pretty sure Grod didn’t bring back all those other previous players just for that one screen shot, so I think they were somehow involved in a competition of some kind, in which Haley was eliminated, very similar to what happened to Rachel last season. I’m sure we’ll get the answer to that tonight.

Things i think i picked up:
Most of this info gets feed cuts or stop thats.

Yash defeated Haley after volunteering to go out when they were going to send Taylor.
Melody came in second in HOH.
In one of the comps Melody had 20 balls stacked and was about to win when production paused the comp and everyone had to start over.
Zingbot has indeed come and gone.
Devens has volunteered to be a pawn. Dee is not pleased that Drew would use a member of the alliance as a pawn. REREAD THAT. Mayor of Hypocrisy Hill strikes again.
Dee and Devens want to threaten / intimidate Drew into putting up Melody.
This might be part of why Devens is starting to get nervous.
Drew says Barr, Dee, Angela are locked in so there is no way Devens leaves.
Nobody has squealed about Barrett jumping ship.
LaLa is OVER Angela. bigly. LaLa is also only cooking for the people she likes now.
It’s day 54 and Dee has just today learned how to turn on the oven.
Subtly the Stunts are pushing a Melody renom.

un autre nom

Drew melody convo.
He does know that Barrett ratted. He also remembers Melody told him that between Drew and Mallory on the block she would keep Mallory (she said this after veto ceremony).
He says he can’t win over the icons in final 2.
The tone is weird in convo.
He has asked if Melody is one of LaLa’s people. She says she has never been in an alliance with LaLa (the current 5 is not locked in as an alliance).
Devens nervousing about his volunteer tribute plan and joking about Melody or Barrett renoms…. seems to be nervousing Drew.

ButtersMom

Dee is losing fans with her high and mighty attitude.. this isnt helping her image

un autre nom

I haven’t watched Survivor in years, and didn’t watch her Challenge season.
I got notes from friends that watch both. I asked for pos and neg critique.
When I listened to her talking week one…. I decided she is extremely easy to read, that she is not good at flexibility in thinking pattern, and that she was unwilling to play big brother, she’s more interested in playing Survivor indoors with food and beds.
I thought wow, Grod has her work cut out for her to keep this one viable.
Week 8 and we know Grod is tired because she’s carrying the season longevity of three stuntcasts on her back.

wolfwoman

Never watched Survivor huh? That’s how Dee always is!

Technotronics

Thanks for this insight! If true about stopping the comp when Melody was about to win- how is that even fair? I know it happens but seems so blatant this season- disappointing.

Do you think Drew will give in to the stunts?

un autre nom

considering the women are saying the medieval challenge stuff was harder for them because prodo put them in dresses and the costurme encumbered their movement in the challenges….. mmhmmm.

bb4eva

Not much left to say. It is what it is. Unless a miracle happens quickly, this season is headed for a massive crash landing. Too bad.
I don’t know about the rest of you, but I would have preferred to watch a fair fight among newcomers. Minus the stunts, the unfair advantages, the unfair privileges & the unfair powers.
I look forward every summer to a Big Brother fair fight.
Sure didn’t get one this summer.
Maybe next summer?

d...

just stop with the stunts. or better yet, make the stunts automatic week one nominations. give them a disadvantage instead of an advantage. if they’re truly such good players why does production always rig the game in their favor?

Paul Sucks

Expect the expected, predictable every year.

Another Dixie

Angela better figure out soon that when push comes to shove, Dee & Devens are sticking together & she is odd man out. She’d be lots smarter getting together with the others while they can & eliminate D or D.

d...

eh, angela knows that final 2 deals don’t mean shit. final 3 deals are really what matters and she’s positioned herself very well within their final 3 as both are likely to underestimate her and take her to the end. she’s also trying to build social relationships with the rest of the house instead of straight lying and backstabbing the way dee and devens are. her chance of success is questionable because she’s still not a particularly fun or pleasant person to be around, but her strategy mostly makes sense to me.

whywecanthavenicethings

The house loves Angela this season. She is very much the loving mom who might crash out every so often but then comes back to talk it out and hug. She has been mostly calm this season anyway. Even Haley forgave her. Lala upset now is about the icon’s ‘lack of character’ rather than personality.

d...

she’s positioned her herself well as the most likeable icon while simultaneously taking advantage of the fact that dee and devens are so focused on the game that they’re overlooking the social component to the point that they’re undervaluing it in terms of jury management and angela’s threat level in a final 2.

un autre nom

Not sure what is going to happen.
HOWEVER:
Drew and Barrett go to HOH to ‘listen to music and shower’ i say game talk.
Devens is of course there to talkblock.
Drew gets called to D/R.
make note of that D/R call. It might become important.
It MAY show us what production wants Drew to do.
Adventure choices: Mel on block like Dee wants. Mel or Barr on block like Devens wants… or Dev/Dee on block like the house wants.

Meanwhile…
Dee is subtly trying to turn Angela against Drew Barrett and DEVENS/
The only reason she was keeping Haley was she would beat her final 2.
Do you really think she’s honoring that Devens final 2?
She’s just looking for the how, not the if.

The Beef

I’m telling you, Dee is cutthroat as hell! She may not vote Devens out this week because there’s still a ways to go, but I don’t think she’ll allow him to make it to final 3 with her, if she gets the chance to backstab him before then.

There is not a loyal bone in that girls body. All she cares about is winning, and she doesn’t care what she has to do to get it done.

Dale

Do we know for sure that the big 1000th episode twist has actually happened? Based on comments here it sounds like they did that knockout comp from last year that got R.R. out–is that considered a twist? It certainly doesn’t sound like anything game changing happened.

un autre nom

Twist eliminations suck… even when it is Haley. But, I noped her last week, so I am back to 4 nopes. The stuntcasts and Drew (Drew was for bad gameplay strategically for weeks, no backup plan, no exit strategy, no endgame strategy and willfully selling out his only backup option toooooo much, most of his ratting was not asked for, not important, and much of the time two or three days out of date).

Don’t get your hopes up too much for a strategic week. When has Drew ever been a bonafide strategy guy? He’s all about pretending he’s a floater when he jumps from his side to the other in order to rat out the other. That’s not a floater game. That’s rat game.

Everyone seems to be eying Angela as the new HOUSE final 2 loser seat. She’s nope so I don’t like.

Dee is starting to turn on Devens. They’re both nope so carry on.

Brought up in at least 7 convos since feeds came on: the state of Melody and Drew (whether she has been playing him) BECAUSE OF THE ZING one of them got. Oh Grod, we see you.

Steveo

So the big twist happened and they got rid of the one person that wasn’t working with anyone? Lame.

un autre nom

The Stunts were considering her to replace Drew. Before the feed outage after the eviction, Dee, Angela and Haley made an alliance.
