Mallory – if its the spelling challenge ..if it’s the spelling one it’s not the one where you eliminate letters. I think I’m gonna do “decompressing”. If it is the one where you eliminate letters, I’m gonna do “exfoliate”. Barrett – exfoliate yes!
2:15pm Kitchen – Devens and Drew
Drew talks to Devens about what kind of veto comp he wants. He says he doesn’t want Mallory to win, because he feels like they’d want him gone #BB28 Devens tells him to win today, so he doesn’t have to worry about block buster.
Devens – if you win today you don’t have to worry about it the rest of the week. Drew – yeah. I would feel a lot more comfortable if it was one of you guys that put me up. But maybe its better. Devens – yeah. Drew – If I win we’ll have to have the Crossover .. just like talk because I have a plan. I have a plan that I think would be funny. Devens – that sounds right up my alley. Drew – its very stupid. Devens – say no more. Devens leaves. Melody joins Drew. Drew – If I win the veto, I am going to wear that motherf**ker all week like I’m an 80’s rapper! Please remove your necklace. Hell no, Hell no! Melody – Ok Flavor Flav!
2:25pm Havenot Room – Drew and Kamu
Drew tells Kamu that the worst case scenario is if Mallory wins it because then she will take Melody off the block. Kamu agrees. He tells him to just go out and win. They speculate on what comp it will be.
2:35pm Havenot Room – Chuk and Kamu
Chuk – What the f**k am I going to tell Drew, because I am going into this to win it. Bro because I don’t want to promise anything. I am going in it to win it and I want to be able to keep noms the same. Kamu – This is what you should do.. if you win and you should try to win it. Just say Hey, you know what, Haley is HOH and really wants to keep the noms the same. So I am going to respect her wishes. And she told me to trust the Tool Shed and to leave everyone on the block because she doesn’t want to get any other blood on her hands. Chuk – perfect, because she doesn’t want to have to re-nom anyone else. Trust the Tool Shed. Chuk – perfect, its funny because I am not on the block but once you get picked to play it feels like you’re going into war. Dude I am not going into it for funzies. Kamu – if you win it, keep it because that way Haley doesn’t have to put up the four. Because she is probably going to put up Lyric and if we’re trying to pull Lyric in .. that’s bad.
2:45pm The feeds cut to the pound cam… the veto is likely starting soon but the feeds keep coming in and out a for a minute or two so who know..
3:14pm The house guests are sitting around in the HOH / downstairs bathroom chatting about random things while they wait for the veto to start.

3:30pm HOH room – Haley, Devens and Barrett
Haley – I think she is a little more isolated and she’s such a great player.. and I was telling her I was like yes you’re a great competitor but look outside the game, you’re beautiful, you’re smart, you’re witty, you’re intelligent you’re you’re kind, charismatic. And I was like so when you tile that together, take that with pride, you know and she really it was like a good receptive but I just still keep trying to outside of the game. I keep just trying to extend a hand but I feel like when we’re kind of dee into this but I think she’ll conversate but I would be OK with her doing it just sucks having a nominee to 4th and I have no idea what I would do. Devens – yeah. Haley – so I think that’s my hardest part because now we’re like, we’re dwindled, very dwindled with people. And I don’t want to blur any other lines and the chance of another person to go home. So I’m just gonna have to do it. Devens – Yeah. So time for you and Chuck to lock this thing up. That would be cool. Haley – yeah, whatever it is.
3:45pm Bedroom – Angela, Haley, Devens and Dee
Haley – Barrett told me that Mallory is taking Melody off (if she wins the veto.) Devens – ok. Haley – which only gives me one option. Devens – I think Mallory has the power. So I think we should, no matter what we do.. like still do Drew but like make her think its Melody. Maybe she pulls Melody off with the power or something. We can burn it (the power). Haley – so here is the thing I said Barrett, I know you know who has the power.
4:20pm Lounge Room – Kamu and Lyric are chatting about food and their faves they make in their homelife.
4:40pm Feeds right now..
5:58pm Still no veto.. looks like its a night veto..
6pm Bedroom – Mallory and Melody
Melody and Mallory talk about how late is and the veto hasn’t started. Mallroy – looks like it will be a night veto. Might be the one where you look for things in the dark? Melody – Ohh, fuck. What is that one? Mallory – It was an HOH competition last year. Melody – was that the one in the goop? Mallory – You had to look for pieces that fit. Melody thinks she would be good at that. Melody – I am going to win this veto, take myself off the block and then maybe my mind will start coming back to me. Mallory – yeah, its also just like we’ve been anticipating this all day.
6:25pm Everyone is still waiting around for the veto..
6:40pm Bathroom – Yash and Drew
Yash – talks about how there is now another power in the house. Its crazy there are two powers now. Based on what you know, do powers get used like during the nom ceremony, during the veto ceremony? Drew – I think it could be literally anytime.
6:50pm Bathroom – Melody and Drew
Drew – Taylor is playing the game right now, she is making everyone food. Come on now, you think that is out of the kindness of her heart? All it takes is for Taylor to say one thing that pisses everyone off .. and then you stay. I plan on making sure she does that by beating her today. She will be all mad. Make her feel a little nervous. But I won’t say anything but all it takes is one thing.
7:20pm HOH room – Haley and Kamu
Haley – I just really hope that.. Kamu – Noms stay the same. Haley – Mmmhhmmm. Kamu – me too. And that is best case scenario. Haley – and I don’t think that .. Mallory she would use it on Melody. Kamu – yes, yes, for sure she would. Haley – and I did not cut a deal but extended the offer you know like hey I am not going to put you up we’ll see how this week goes.. da da da da da Hoping that she runs it by me. Maybe that she runs it by .. but if she has the power and say she doesn’t and then uses it on her.. I don’t know. Kamu – I don’t know if she would. Haley – I haven’t told one person who the target is. Only the people we know its true but if Drew doesn’t go home, its not the end of the world. Kamu – no. Haley – I think it would be next Taylor. Kamu – you think Taylor over Melody? Haley – yeah. There is no bad blood, there’s not blood at all cause she does not have anybody else besides Lala. At least with Melody and say Drew turns on us or something.. she has Mallory. Kamu – interesting, that’s an interesting play. I thought for sure if it wasn’t Drew it would be Melody. Haley – Melody is not a threat. I think Taylor would be more of a social player because of the fact that she’s just cool with everybody. But she does spend a lot of time on her own and so when she does come out, she is cool, happy, cheerful and not really around a whole bunch of people. Honestly I really don’t care who goes home. I just really would want my nominations to stay the same. I think I could tolerate Melody’s fake-ness more than Taylor’s coldness with everybody.

I’m quite confused by the lack of external plot device in this week 4.
First time in… six or seven seasons.
Does that mean this is not a trajectory alteration week? Not at all.
Look… we’ve already got the 8 person alliance dying.
Is there adversity… not to the stuntcasts. but hey.
There is adversity for a member of the big alliance.
So if I’m hoping for any chance of chaos I’m pullin for Mallory to win veto yeah?Hoping that would spark a small shot at back and forth power shifts.
That isn’t really the point of the week four adversity.
The set up according to week 3 eviction episode is the distrust of the dominant side towards their two lowest hanging fruit, as well as the recognition or elimination of anyone that does not stand in line to follow orders.
How do they fare? What will the untrusted do, flip allegiance or attempt to regain trust.
Will the dominant cut their weakest link or cut one of the ones they can’t control.
Melody got a lot of air time as the malcontent.
Taylor got a lot of air as the not playing a team sport heart over head houseguest.
We saw that with noms.
With Taylor winning veto we are down to the adversity of the untrusted or the rebel at this point.

Mallory to Lyric talking about the other side “these people are so good and they’re all together “. Yes Mallory. That is the importance of alliances in this game. CRUCIAL. Unfortunately she made no effort as Drew did so she’s on the outs. If she had I believe D&D would’ve embraced her open arms. And I believe she wouldn’t have ruined the opportunity like Drew has.

So now Barrett might be renom if the veto is used.
A little Angela history:
season one she told Lisa she would die in the game without her and she was her person. One dream later Lisa was a r-word and a twit. some retells of what happened in the feedblock insinuated Angela instigated a physical confrontation… but hey.
But before that: Quinn was her number one. Quinn tried to gather an alliance to include his number one Angela. One dream later Angela was blowing up that alliance.
And before that even…. Angela saw 5 poc sitting by the hammock. She decided they were the cookout and they were the group to target she told Quinn. Quinn told the poc. Angela cried that she didn’t mean it as racial or targeting she meant the group she wanted to play with and Quinn misconstrued what she said so he must be the racist.
And this is the woman whose gut they are trusting.
I think if Angela misses just one of her meds then she is instantly on the train of paranoia. And that train quickly goes off the rails.
Meds can only do so much for someone with her issues. She needs therapy to recognize her distortions and paranoia, and learn how to regulate her emotions. That woman has deep levels of abandonment insecurity.
Her meds have nothing to do with it.
It’s simply who she is.

Before Jason’s eviction she saw Taylor hold up 5 fingers and spun it to everybody that Taylor was campaigning gathering votes for Jason. She also said Taylor needs to go because she has the face of a winner, and I can only speculate based on the last two winners what that means.

Devens compared some houseguests to some Survivor 50 players (did not watch it) with the insinuation that there was a tone to some of the survivors.

Everyone in the house is aware that there is a tone. If post season we get the i did not see it… we know.

I checked my review for the eviction episode.
I am waiting for the Sunday episode to see if my deduction is faulty.
I am not overly excited by the possible edit. It’s less choose your own adventure and more look at how they edited the last few sunday and wednesday episodes that has me a bit fearful.
The possibility that the entire edit could be sanitized beyond what we saw on feeds is there. It depends on how they choose to cut and paste the week in their timeywimey editing suite.
Hmmm…chuk telling kamu he’s gunning for the veto…I wanna see what he’s really got. Same goes for drew. I like to see the lay low fence riders compete. Not sneak dissin that strategy I just find it interesting. Who knows maybe it’ll be thrown.

Drew very intentionally stayed on the block thinking he was pawn knowing he wasn’t pawn he stayed on the block because he couldn’t get all three of Kamu Chuk and Haley nominated…. and it sounds like he decided for the fourth week that Melody leaving is an acceptable loss.
