Kamu has written a speech. He runs it past Dee line by line at 1:04 pm — the warm open, the applause break for Lyric, the applause break for Jason, and the two words where the whole thing turns. Dee directs the pause. Kamu plans to take a sip of tea in the silence. Let the tea party run thirty minutes, hand Jason a round of applause for how he handled last week’s blowup, then read out every deal Jason has made in both directions and ask him in front of everyone which one he was going to honour. Dee spends most of the hour trying to get her own name out of it, and wins. Kamu confirms Mallory told him Jason promised her the veto, says he still hasn’t spoken to Lyric, and reveals that Drew and Yash know a house meeting is coming but not what’s in it. Earlier, Devens brings Dee two things she didn’t have: Taylor has been laying out a final five with M&Ms and wants Devens and Kamu in it, and the other side wants Mallory to stay and Lala gone if Jason wins the Blockbuster. Tea party is at five.

1:01 pm Devens and Dee

Devens: “Taylor wants Kamu and I in this alliance.”
Devens: “She was pointing it out in all these M&Ms and stuff, of who she wants in it and how we each have our tether. But it’s a final five.”
Devens: “It was really like, damn, she’s been doing this.”
Devens: “But the only thing noteworthy to come from it for you is that she’s like, I think Angela and Dee are running the whole house. And that they’ve got their little puppet, Haley.”
Dee: “Yeah, they’re trying to spread that narrative. Because the other day, right before noms, Lala was pulling in everybody, and she goes to me and Angela — people are saying that you two are running the house.”
Dee: “And I was like, oh God, that’s so dumb.”
Dee: “What they’re trying to do is obviously cause the divide. Because they don’t have numbers. Which is smart. You should do whatever you can.”

Devens: “And Angela’s so obsessed with Drew. Which I don’t think is a bad thing. But I talked to her in here after and I was like —”
Dee: “You want to go after him next week? I don’t care. Yeah, same. You could do it.”
Devens: “Yeah, I’m into it. But I’m trying to keep them close, because they can flip the house anytime they want.”
Devens: “They’re kind of wanting, if Jason wins, they want Mallory to stay. And they want to vote out Lala a little bit.”

1:04 PM — Kamu and Dee,

Kamu: “I did talk to Mallory. Jason did tell Mallory that if she were to pick him, that he would use the veto on her.”
Kamu: “All I have to do is have a conversation with Lyric, and I’m just kind of waiting for the right time to do that.”
Kamu: “But I’m blowing up the tea party.”
Dee: “Oh my God, dude.”
Kamu: “This is going to be so fun. It’s going to be awesome.”
Dee: “Okay, well, I’m down. Are you going to give a heads up, or no? Just go for it.”
Kamu: “No, I’m going to do it. I’m just going to do it.”
Dee: “Yeah, just go for it. Like when we’re all together.”
Kamu: “You and I talked to Devens. You guys are the only ones that know.”
Kamu: “I was talking to Drew and Yash, but I never told them. I never told them. I just said, hey guys — if Jason does stay, I may need some backup.”
Kamu: “I can’t play next week.”
Dee: “Oh my God, we got you. Are you kidding me?”
Kamu: “And that’s what they said, too. They said the same. But I didn’t tell them that I’m going to blow his whole spot up.”
Kamu: “I’m going to end that man’s whole career.”

The shape of it:
Kamu: “Basically, what I’m going to do is I’m just going to freaking ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, and be like, hey, guys. I’m going to start off positive, because I’m so positive.”
Dee: “And then go to the negative?”
Kamu: “Yeah, but the negative will be towards the end.”
Kamu: “So I’m basically going to be like, yo, hey, first off, I just want to say, I love this group of people. There’s no other group of people that I want to play Big Brother with. To be here with all of you guys is incredible.”
Dee: “And everyone’s going to be like, yes, this is so great.”
Kamu: “And then I’m going to be like, hey, shout out to Lyric for winning the veto comp.”
Dee: “Yo, yo, let’s go, Lyric.”
Dee: “Okay, that’s good to know, so we can clap, so we know how to guide.”
Kamu: “And then I’m going to go into — since Lyric won, I want to address the elephant in the room, and that’s that I have to nominate a replacement.”
Kamu: “And I’m just gonna tell everybody, I came into this house wanting to play an open, honest game. And that’s how I’ve conducted my HOH so far.”
Kamu: “And I’m going to let everybody know, I’ve had conversations with the three nominees. I told them that I was considering nominating all of them. And I told them why, so that nobody was surprised when they saw their faces on the wall.”
Kamu: “And I’m going to say, what most people don’t know is that I also had a side conversation with Jason as well, before the nomination ceremony. And he and I made a deal with each other. And I’m going to explain to them what the deal was.”
Kamu: “And then eventually I’m going to get into the issues. I do want to talk to you a little bit though, because I want to put him on blast.”

On naming names:
Kamu: “And I want to say to him, like, dude, you’re telling — I’m not going to say your name. I will not say your name.”
Dee: “But you also can bring up the three-three. Is that what you’re planning on doing?”
Dee: “Why would you put more attention on us?”
Kamu: “That’s why I’m going back and forth. There’s a part of me that says I want to, because it’s almost like if I draw attention to it, it takes away the power. That’s kind of how I look at it.”
Dee: “That’s an interesting way to see it.”
Kamu: “If I say to the whole house — dude, I am hearing from one group of people that you’re talking about targeting me, the HOH, the dude who has the power to put you up on the block. And you’re also talking about nominating Chuk. I put it all out in the open where it’s no longer secretive anymore.”
Kamu: “And I feel like when you do that, sometimes it no longer is a threat, because it’s so public. It takes the power away and nobody cares.”
Kamu: “I’ve had several people come up to me telling me that you are saying that Drew and Barrett are at the bottom of the house, and that the house views them as being expendable and wants to target them next.”
Kamu: “You’re also telling one group of people that you’re targeting me. If you were to stay, you would target me, but not only me — also Haley and Chuk. A separate group of people, you’re saying you want to target the icons. You want to go after Dee, Devens and Angela.”
Kamu: “The way that I see it in my head is if I throw it all out there, it’s like, bro, now there’s no more power, because it’s all out in the open. It’s not secretive. Everybody knows your game. Everybody knows what you’ve been saying.”
Kamu: “It’s the things that we try to keep hidden under the rug that end up becoming more threatening to the other houseguests. But if we’re like, dude, this is what’s being said, and we are so upfront about it — I could see a lot of people being like, oh, well, if they were all working together, then they probably would have kept that under wraps.”
Kamu: “That’s my thought process, but I haven’t decided.”

Dee pushes back:
Dee: “No, I love the idea, and I agree with the fact that not having it be hidden is powerful. But at the same time, you’re putting Chuk and Haley and Devens, Angela and myself in a position where Jason’s going to come after — you don’t know who he’s going to come after.”
Dee: “Just like when Angela and him were fighting, or even before they fought, he mentioned you, Chuk and Haley. Why did he even have to do that? So we’re going to catch strays.”
Dee: “And I think that can give power simultaneously to everybody else who’s not there.”
Dee: “They’re already going around building multiple lines to try to target all of us, 100%.”
Dee: “Like, I’m already getting weird vibes from Taylor, which is crazy, because she wanted to solidify a four with me, Lala and Angela. And what the f*** am I going to say? No. But is it true? No.”
Dee: “I’ve been getting weird vibes from her, so I feel like she’s trying to rally people to target.”
Kamu: “To target you?”
Dee: “Yeah, I feel that. That’s what I feel.”
Kamu: “My mind was not made up. It was just kind of thinking I could air it all out. Because if I did that, I would be blowing up his whole spot. Because that’s his pitch right now.”
Kamu: “It’s: you keep me in here, I will take the shots that you guys are scared to take. That’s his whole thing.”
Kamu: “So my thought process was, dude, if I just air it all out, I completely destroy his whole game and his whole pitch. Because after this, he’s probably even more so gonna be like, dude, now I’m not working with Kamu at all. Let me stay here. I will gun after the icons. I will gun after him, Haley and Chuk.”

Kamu: “But if I throw it all out there, it’s almost like Eminem at the end of 8 Mile. When he freaking dissed himself, and then he’s like, here, tell these people something they don’t know about me. And the bro had nothing.”
Dee: “Nothing to say.”
Kamu: “It was like he ratted himself out. And then the dude was speechless.”
Kamu: “And there’s a part of me that’s like, if I do that, the house may respect it and be like, shoot, dude — if he was really hiding something, he probably wouldn’t have said all that.”

Dee: “The only thing I disagree in is naming people. Because when you generalize something, it gives people more of an option to start thinking of, oh, are there other alliances? Which there obviously are.”
Dee: “Like, okay, these are the non-hidden — but what about the hidden ones?”
Kamu: “Totally. But let them think about the hidden ones. If we air our alliance out and then they go, where are the hidden ones? Now they’re not thinking about the ones that are aired out.”
Kamu: “People are already talking about us. So I don’t think it changes anything for us, because people are already saying the three icons, and Haley, Kamu, Chuk. They’re already saying that. All this does is destroy his pitch to people.”
Dee: “Isn’t that so funny? What a pleasure. Yes, talk about us. Yes, please.”
Kamu: “Well, it makes sense. We’re the first three HOHs. So we’re the only ones who have nominated people. We’re the only ones with any sort of blood on our hands.”
Dee: “No, but I kind of meant more so like you three and the three icons. Talk about us. It gives us — you know what I mean?”
Kamu: “Doesn’t it feel good? Because at least they don’t look at us as floaters. That’s the worst thing. I would never want to be seen as a floater.”
Dee: “Me either. Absolutely not.”
Kamu: “The worst thing in the world.”
Dee: “Because if I’m riding with you, I’m riding with you.”

Dee: “I am telling you, I think that naming is wrong, because by you saying this group and this group and insinuating, it’s the same thing as naming.”
Dee: “Energy flows where attention goes.”
Dee: “So you’re giving it attention. And it’s more of a reason — anything in this house, people will stick to. Anything. People are already stuck on us. Why not f***ing make them think other things?”
Dee: “You got to understand, some of these people don’t have that groundedness that we do as a whole. And they’re kind of trying to either make their own alliances to target us, or try to make us target each other.”

Kamu: “Can you do me a favor? I would love to talk to Devens and you at the same time.”
Dee: “Oh, that’s gonna be hard.”
Kamu: “I was hoping that maybe he’d be on the hammock or something and could sneak away.”
Dee: “He was outside for a long time, but I was walking with Barrett and Melody. Have you talked to him already or not?”
Kamu: “Yeah, I did. He’s all about it. He’s like, absolutely. And he goes, let me know — if you want me to say anything, if you want me to chime in, let me know.”
Dee: “Wait, I don’t want to be the only one that says no. What the heck?”
Kamu: “No, no, no. I didn’t tell him about my speech. I just told him about blowing up his spot at the tea party.”
Dee: “No, definitely ask him. And I think you should also, if you’re planning on saying names, you definitely should talk to Chuk and Haley. Because if someone did that and said your name, you know what I mean?”
Kamu: “I’m not blowing up our spot. I’m blowing up his pitch. Because his pitch is, I will take the shot at these targets. I will take the shots that you don’t want to take. But people are already looking at us.”
Kamu: “That’s why I’m like, dude, I’m not blowing up our spot. People know our spot. I’m blowing up his spot.”

What happens after:
Kamu: “What if I don’t get a reaction? What if he sits there? What if he walks up and leaves? What if he sees the writing on the wall and he leaves? That’s telling. That’s all we need to know.”
Dee: “I feel like with him, you never know. Whatever, I’m down for whatever.”
Kamu: “If the house blows up, the house blows up. If it’s super low key or anticlimactic, then it’s still telling — like, bro, he’s been dishonest.”
Kamu: “Either way, the goal here is to show everybody, hey, I’m playing an honest game and he is not. Any sort of relationship that he started to build back up, I want to destroy.”
Dee: “He would come for you hard this week if he were to win, or anyone that he’s close to.”
Kamu: “He’s already going to. I’m going to put him up as a replacement. Either way, he’s coming after me anyways.”
Kamu: “I love this though.”
Dee: “It’s the best.”
Kamu: “It’s so fun. And it’s like we had the blow up last week. We’re going to have another — hopefully a little bit of a blow up.”

Dee: “I hope he doesn’t stay quiet.
“Dee gets her name out of it:
Kamu: “Yeah, I do want to run my speech by Devens.”
Dee: “Yeah, you know what? Maybe listen to him, because he’s more of like — you guys are more out there.”
Kamu: “I don’t want you to be upset, though.”
Dee: “No, no, no. I won’t be upset. But you do have my thoughts on saying my name, for sure.”
Kamu: “If I do end up going full send, do you at least understand where I’m coming from?”
Dee: “I do understand it. But I do also think it puts me in a position where it’s telling that he came and told me. Because at the end of the day, we are just thinking that he also told Devens and Angela. I don’t know if he told that to Devens and Angela.”
Dee: “So at the end of the day, it could come back to me. So that is what scares me.”
Dee: “But I haven’t talked to Rick, so we should talk to him and see if Jason has even told him. Because if Jason hasn’t told that to Angela or Devens, that puts me in a bad place.”
Kamu: “But don’t you think that he expected you to tell? Did he tell you, like, don’t tell anybody?”
Dee: “He didn’t tell me not to tell anyone. He didn’t come to me and say don’t. But that doesn’t mean that I should go out and f***ing tell you.”
Kamu: “But it doesn’t even have to come from you. You could have told Devens — hey, Jason had a conversation with me, he wants to protect us and he wants to go after the other three. And you could have said the same thing to Angela. So it doesn’t necessarily fall right back on you.”
Kamu: “Because if I tell him, dude, I’ve had multiple people — now it’s like multiple people. Maybe Dee told Angela, maybe Angela told Kamu, or maybe Angela told Devens and Devens told Kamu. Like, I just want his mind spinning.”
Dee: “But at the end of the day, it still puts me in a place where I do have to have that conversation with him.”
Kamu: “So do you not want me to say it at all?”
Dee: “I prefer you don’t. I prefer you don’t say my name.”
Kamu: “No, I’m not going to say it.”
Kamu: “When I say icons — you prefer that I don’t say that?”
Dee: “Correct. But not because I’m included in that. And at the end of the day, like I said, I don’t know if he went to Devens and Angela and told them. So if he didn’t, it’s going to come back on me.”
Kamu: “But I would only say your name and that wouldn’t put heat on you. It would put heat on Chuk, because he told Chuk that he would be gunning after you.”
Kamu: “You have reason to be mad at him. You have reason to be pissed at Jason. So Jason can’t get pissed at you. What is he going to do? Come after you and be like, did you say something? You’re going to be like, bro, screw you. Dude, you told Chuk that you were going to be taking me out. You told Chuk that you were going to be coming after the icons.”
Dee: “It’s not the other way around. No, absolutely.”
Kamu: “You don’t have to save face with him. He’s being dishonest to everybody. So it doesn’t make you look bad. Everything is just about making him look bad.”
Dee: “Yeah, no, that’s true if he is doing it.”
Kamu: “He’s telling people he wants to take shots at you. Screw him.”
Dee: “No, listen, of course. Screw him for real.”
Kamu: “He’s playing everybody, and he needs to be found out. And hard. And everybody needs to know, yo, you cannot trust this guy.”
Kamu: “I’m not personally attacking him. He’s playing a very messy game.”

Dee: “Have you been all in your head about it?”
Kamu: “No, I haven’t been in my head. I’ve just been figuring out what I want to say.”
Dee: “No, definitely talk to Devens, because he knows how to think about these things. Because I know before noms, he was kind of anxious a little bit.”
Kamu: “With Jason?”
Dee: “No, Devens.”
Kamu: “Oh, before his noms. Oh, I bet. Because he’s probably running through what he wants to say in his head.”
Dee: “That’s the thing, you need a structure.”
Kamu: “And I have it.”
Dee: “Because you don’t want to f*** up a step.”

The speech, as rehearsed

Kamu: “I literally have my structure. My structure is: hey, I love everybody in the house. Give it up for yourselves.”
Kamu: “Hey, congrats, Lyric. Okay, I’m going to congratulate Lyric. What does that do? That takes me right into, I’m going to have to name a replacement nomination.”
Kamu: “But I’ve been playing a very open and honest game this entire time. I’m going to talk about, I had conversations with the three nominees. They knew that their faces were going to be up on the memory wall.”
Kamu: “And what most people don’t know is that I also had a side conversation with Jason. And that’s kind of like — I’m going to give Jason props, though. I want everybody to clap for him.”
Kamu: “So here’s what I’m going to say. I’m going to say, look, I had a conversation with Jason. I felt really, really good about it. I told Jason that I wasn’t going to put him — I made a deal with him. I wasn’t going to put him up on the block, but he had to promise me that if he were to get picked to play in the veto competition and win, he would use the veto however I needed him to use it.”
Kamu: “He said, absolutely, thank you so much for not putting me up. You have my word. We shook hands, everything was great.”
Kamu: “I’m gonna say, this meant a lot to me, because our relationship was a little bit rocky after the blow up from the nomination ceremony the week before. The week before, the house exploded. Devens is going at it with Rome. Angela and Jason are going at it. Haley got involved. And then Jason, he threw my name out in front of the whole house.”
Kamu: “And I’m going to say, like, dude, Jason, I have to give you a lot of respect, because you handled it like a man. You came and apologized to me face to face. You made amends with Angela. You made amends with Haley, and I’ve seen your guys’ relationship start to grow.”
Kamu: “And I’m going to say, so I respect that. Let’s give it up for him. Let’s give it up for him.”
Kamu: “Everyone’s going to clap, yo.”
Kamu: “And then I’m going to say, you know, you really turned things around and you really played an admirable game.”
Kamu: “Or so I thought.”
Dee: “Bro.”
Kamu: “Boom. Bass drop.”
Dee: “But then give it a pause when you say, or so I thought.”
Kamu: “Take a sip.”
Dee: “30 seconds.”
Dee: “I’m just kidding. All right, like five seconds. Let everyone look at each other.”
Kamu: “Yeah, I do one of these. I’m like — or so I thought. I just sit there, just like —”
Kamu: “And I’m gonna say, shortly after the veto competition, it was brought to my attention that you had separate deals with each one of the nominees, where if they picked you to play and you won the Power of Veto, you would use it on all of them.”
Kamu: “So I’m just a little bit confused, Jason. Had you won the Power of Veto, would you have stayed loyal to our agreement, or would you have stayed loyal to Lala?”
Kamu: “Separately, it’s also been brought to my attention that you’re telling Drew and Barrett that they’re at the bottom of the house, and that they’re expendable, and that the house wants them gone.”
Kamu: “It’s also been brought to my attention from several people that you’re telling one group of people that you’re gunning after me, the HOH — the dude that has the power to put you up as a replacement nominee. You’re telling people that you would be targeting me, Haley and Chuk.”
Kamu: “You’re telling another group of people that you’re also targeting the icons: Dee, Angela and Devens.”
Kamu: “So Jason, I have been playing a very open and honest game, and I want to give you the opportunity to do the same. Let’s start off with how you would’ve used the Power of Veto. Would you have been loyal to Lala, or would you have been loyal to our agreement?”
Kamu: “And then I just wanna shut the f*** up and let him defend himself.”

Kamu: “Now, if he gets up and he leaves — yeah, that’s just telling. Tea party resumes.”
Kamu: “If he says something, or maybe Lala says something, not to mention Angela — oh no, forget it. It’s over. Boom, house pops off. It’s over.”
Kamu: “So no matter what, whether I get a big reaction or a small reaction, I’m airing it all out. And then the house can do with that information what they will. I can’t vote this week.”
Dee: “Either way, we still have the numbers, so it’s great. And in the case of a tie, for whatever reason, boom.”
Kamu: “I break it.”
Dee: “Because it would be — how many of us are there?”
Kamu: “Eight? No, like 10, because we have Melody and we have Yash.”
Dee: “Yeah, we have a bunch.”

On the vote:
Dee: “If Jason were to win, who do you want home? Lala or Mallory?”
Kamu: “I think Mallory’s the biggest threat.”
Dee: “I agree.”
Dee: “But Melody wouldn’t vote Mallory.”
Kamu: “I think Melody might. I don’t know. I gotta talk to Drew more about Melody.”
Kamu: “But when I had a conversation with Lyric, Lyric was talking about how close she is with Mallory. And how Mallory and Melody aren’t as close as we may think.”
Kamu: “Melody said to Lyric, hey, we need to distance ourselves from Mallory, because she’s kind of a messy player. She throws people’s names out a lot and draws unnecessary attention to herself.”
Kamu: “But then Mallory’s kind of upset with Melody, because I guess week one, when Mallory was on the block, Melody said that if she were to win veto, she wouldn’t have used it.”
Dee: “Like, I thought we were cool. She didn’t want to be attached to a dead horse.”
Dee: “And then she said, isn’t this your friend? You need to ride with your people. Even if they are a dead horse, you f***ing pick up that horse and you ride with them.”
Kamu: “You let the horse ride you.”
Dee: “I will figure out a way to pick up that horse.”
Kamu: “So those two, I don’t think are quite as close as people think. I think they’re close, but not where it’s like they’re inseparable. Not to the point where Melody would want to be on the wrong side of the house.”

Dee: “Oh my God, this is amazing. Maybe I should just — I can’t even whisper to him, because there’s too many people there.”
Kamu: “Yeah, I wonder if you’d be able to tap him and just give him a look or something.”
Dee: “No, I can’t, because Barrett’s facing the stairs.”

Kamu: “But yeah, that’s basically what I want to say.”
Dee: “I love it. I think you’re going to do a great job.”
Kamu: “Step one, I love you guys. Step two, congrats Lyric. Step three — boom. I now have to name a replacement.”
Kamu: “And I’m going to talk about how I’ve been conducting myself. I want to play an open, honest game, blah, blah, blah. I want to give Jason props. Hey, let’s all give it up for Jason, dude. He’s been killing it.”
Dee: “You’re taking us on a roller coaster.”
Kamu: “But that’s exactly what I want. I want this. I want this. And then I want freaking that. Oh, this is going to be phenomenal.”
Dee: “So what time is this tea party?”
Kamu: “I think five.”
Kamu: “But it’s going to be kind of hot outside. I don’t know if we should go out at five. Everyone’s going to get all dressed up and be sweating in the backyard.”
Dee: “Yeah, I think Angela cleaned the entire kitchen, which is amazing. So we could even be inside. Where do you want to do it, inside or outside?”
Kamu: “Wherever we are, it doesn’t matter. As long as the whole house is there, it doesn’t matter if we’re inside or outside.”
Kamu: “But I’m going to be hitting everybody with one of these. Hey, guys. Hey, roomies. Roomies.”
Kamu: “Oh my God. I can’t wait. I just want to say a few things. I can’t wait.”
Kamu: “You guys are still the only two people that know. You and Devens. Because I want genuine reactions.”
Kamu: “Can you get Devens, you think?”
Dee: “It’s gonna be too obvious. I’ll go down, but — we can wait.”
Dee: “I’m gonna go down and get coffee anyway.”
Dee: “This guy. Why do you have to sit again?”
Kamu: “I know. I was like, dude, don’t sit.”
Dee: “No, I’m going to go downstairs, but I think I can’t do it right now.”
Kamu: “But in case we don’t really get to talk too much — well, good luck. You got this.”
Kamu: “You’re cool with me blowing up his whole spot?”
Dee: “Yeah, I’m cool with it. I trust you. Whatever you want to do. Talk to Devens, too, though.”
Kamu: “I just want to make sure that we’re good.”

1:45 PM — Kamu, Devens and Dee, HOH

Kamu: “All right, dude, so here’s what I’m thinking. I want to run this by you first.”
Kamu: “Because, dude, I want to blow up this man’s whole career.”
Kamu: “Here’s the structure of the speech, okay? And there’s really one part that — I talked to Dee about this a little bit, and she gave me a little bit of pushback on it, but I think by the end she understood where I was coming from.”
Kamu: “Really, it’s a four-structured speech.”
Kamu: “Number one is, I get everybody’s attention. Do the little spoon to the mug, get everybody’s attention. Hey, first thing I want to say is I love all you guys. You guys are great. I wouldn’t want to play this game with any other group of people.”
Kamu: “We clap. Step one. Lull them in.”
Kamu: “I want this, dude. This is what I want.”
Kamu: “And step two, we congratulate Lyric on an amazing competition, amazing performance. She’s the champ. Great job, right?”
Kamu: “And then that leads me to step three. And that is, unfortunately, we have to address the elephant in the room. I now have to nominate a replacement. I have to nominate somebody, a fourth person.”
Kamu: “And I have been playing an open and honest game this entire time. And I want to continue that with all of you, which is why I’m having this speech.”
Kamu: “I want to let everybody know that I came into the house wanting to play an open and honest game, which is true. A game that my family and friends would be proud of.”
Kamu: “And then I want to let them know that even with the nominees, I was very direct, I was very upfront. I told all three of them that I was considering putting them up. And I gave them the reasons why. None of them were surprised when they saw their faces on the wall.”
Kamu: “What most people don’t know is that I also had a side conversation with Jason shortly before the nomination ceremony.”
Devens: “Huh?”
Kamu: “He’s like, wait, what? He’ll perk up right away.”
Kamu: “But no, I’m gonna give him props, dude. We’re gonna clap for Jason. We’re clapping for Jason first.”
Devens: “Woo!”
Kamu: “So I’m going to go — what most people don’t know is that I had a conversation with Jason and I made a deal with him. I told him, I said, I’d love to work with you, make a deal. If I don’t put you up on the block, but you get your name called and you play in the veto and you win, that you will let me decide how that veto is used.”
Kamu: “And Jason said, absolutely. I give you my word. And we shook hands on it. That made me feel really good.”
Kamu: “And the reason why was because Jason and I, we’ve had a little bit of a rocky relationship since the nomination ceremony last week. Last week the house blew up, and everybody’s going at each other’s throats. Devens and Rome are going at it, Jason and Angela are going at it, Haley gets involved at one point in time, and then I hear Jason throw my name out in front of the whole house. So I wasn’t quite sure where we stood.”
Kamu: “But Jason, dude, I want to give you props, because you handled that like a man. You came and you apologized to me face to face. You also made amends with Angela. You also have been building your relationship back up with Haley. And dude, I respect that.”
Kamu: “Boom. Shout out to Jason. Shout out to Jason.”
Kamu: “And I’m going to say, dude, you really turned your whole game around and have been playing an admirable game.”
Kamu: “Or so I thought.”
Kamu: “And this is like — boom. Drop the bass. Boom. Dude, or so I thought.”
Kamu: “Right after the veto competition, I had several people come up to me and tell me that you had made separate side deals with each one of the nominees, telling them if they were to choose you to play for them, that you would use the veto on them.”
Kamu: “So now I’m wondering — if you would have won, would you have stayed loyal to our agreement, or would you have taken Lala off the block?”

Dee comes in:
Dee: “Sorry it took me a little bit.”
Kamu: “No, that was perfect. I was just running through what I wanted to say anyways.”
Devens: “I was very slow on the pickup. I was like, I guess she wants me up there now.”
Dee: “There’s pizzas in the oven.”

Kamu: “So I want to say, how would you have used the veto? Would you have stayed loyal to Lala, or would you have stayed loyal to our agreement?”
Kamu: “Separately, it’s been brought to my attention that you’re telling Drew and Barrett that they’re at the bottom of the house, and that they’re expendable, and that the house is going to look to target them next.”
Kamu: “In addition to that, you’re telling one group of people that you’re targeting me, the current HOH, the dude who has the power to put you up — along with Haley and Chuk.”
Kamu: “You’re telling another group of people that you’re targeting the icons. Devens, Dee and Angela.”
Kamu: “Look, I’ve been playing an open and honest game, Jason. I want to give you the opportunity in front of the house to do the same. Let’s start with how you would have used the Power of Veto yesterday if you would have won.”
Devens: “You know we love this s***. I love it so much.”
Kamu: “And then I just want to shut up. Dude, I want to fade into the shadows and just let him dig his own grave.”

Kamu: “Dude, I was thinking maybe he walks away, and if he does, great, that’s very telling. Let’s say he ignores me, walks away, fine.”
Kamu: “What I want, though, is I hope he tries to defend himself. Because he’s playing every different angle.”
Kamu: “Dude, Lala’s gonna be pissed.”
Kamu: “When you gave your speech, you didn’t expect Angela to jump in. So I’m like, dude, maybe somebody else will jump in and be like, dude, you told me something different. And then just let it take on a life of its own.”
Kamu: “Either way, dude, let’s say this is super anticlimactic and Jason just gets up and he leaves. That is still telling enough, and we’ve still aired out all of his laundry.”
Kamu: “My goal is that if he stays in this house, he has nobody next week.”
Devens: “Nobody.”
Kamu: “Nobody trusts him.”
Devens: “Because he could win stuff.”
Devens: “Or if he uses the advantage this week, it’s like, good. Come back next week — no advantage, no people.”
Devens: “So it’s like, best case scenario, the house erupts.”
Kamu: “That would be great. Best case scenario, I would love that.”
Kamu: “Worst case scenario, during the tea party. The BB Tea Party Massacre, bro.”
Kamu: “Look who’s spilling the tea. It’s piping hot.”
Kamu: “Worst comes to worst, he walks away. He doesn’t want to engage, and the whole house looks at him and goes, we can’t trust this dude. We need to get him out.”

On naming names:
Kamu: “She was like, I don’t know if you should mention people by name.”
Kamu: “My rebuttal to that is, people are already talking. About us. Already about the icons.”
Kamu: “This is not a secret.”
Kamu: “Right now he’s talking to different people being like, keep me in and I will take the shots that you guys are unwilling to take. I will take shots at the big targets in the house.”
Kamu: “But if I throw it all out there — if I get up there, now what is he going to say to me? I’m like, look, I know that you’re talking about the icons. This is not a secret. He has no more pitch.”
Devens: “I do see. I see what you’re saying.”
Kamu: “It’s like, look — open and honest game. I’m not hiding anything. That’s me going into the speech. That’s my power.”

Kamu: “So for me, dude, that’s a bummer that you drove me to this point.”
Kamu: “I was so happy when we shook hands and you gave me your word.”
Kamu: “I’m excited.”
Devens: “Me too, I’m pumped.”
Devens: “If I think of anything else, I’ll let you know.”
Kamu: “I just wanted to run it by you, because if you would have been like, dude, don’t say our names — I’d be like, okay.”
Kamu: “That’s what I want to do. I want everything on blast.”
Devens: “My guess is he’s gonna blow up anyway.”
Kamu: “Okay, you guys are on board? Perfect.”
Devens: “This tea party can’t get here fast enough.”
Devens: “Barrett keeps talking about how he doesn’t want to go.”
Kamu: “We’re going to be all classy.”
Dee: “Devens, this is why we play, dude. This is why we play. Get the people what they want.”

Where it stands

Forty minutes ago Kamu asked Dee whether he could use her name. She said she’d prefer he didn’t. He asked whether he could say “the icons” instead. She said no to that too, and he told her he wouldn’t. Here he rehearses it with the names in — Devens, Dee and Angela — and asks Devens whether that’s a problem. Devens says it isn’t. Kamu got a no, went and got a yes, and is going with the yes.

Devens spends the segment talking about flushing Jason’s advantage while holding the Diamond Power of Veto himself. If Jason uses it this week, he says, he comes back next week with no advantage and no people.

Kamu has a name for it now. The BB Tea Party Massacre. Five o’clock, everyone dressed up, cucumber sandwiches. Barrett has been telling Devens he doesn’t want to go.

Will he be able to get his head through the door? Is he on something? Run away!

angela thinking america picked haley? come on. everyone knows angela, devens, and dee are gonna be the first three picked. the whole house should assume devens has a power as soon as he’s not wearing a leotard. really don’t understand why he didn’t make up a punishment like he can’t vote this week or something like that to kinda try to hide it.
