Part One.
Section One

(I’m about 10 minutes behind)

Recap: Judges already mentioned as a real alliance. bull.
Morgan and Vince unbreakable duo with 12 comp wins. Ava house meeting. Vince is a lying cheating weasel. Morgan is getting honorable edit… um. m’kay she was called snake for no reason??? riiight.

They are allowed to let go of one of the handholds this time? That’s new.

Wall comp was Morgan’s comp…. about that.
Of course Vince gets motion sickness… one more thing to whine about.
Ashley is getting weird camera effects for vertigo
Ashley falls 28 minutes 45 seconds.
Vince falls 53 minutes 25 seconds.
MORGAN WINS PART ONE OF FINAL HOH.
Vince whines about his dream of 10 years… coulda just got a job… moved out of his parent’s house… maybe been honest to just one person in the game… not humiliated his gf by making her the cuck to his showmance fantasy…. the list goes on. Cheating Weasel.

CAULIFLOWER TAKES THE PLACE OF DR. WILL AT ROUNDTABLE… um…. really? Gonna need one of Vince’s motion sickness barf bags for a Cody roundtable.
Morgan’s parents in audience… is Vince’s family there? Is his gf? kidding. don’t care. Cheating weasel and his game skank digs are my thing this season. Whatchagonnado?
JURY ROUND TABLE
Ava enters.
Social, competitive and strategic. Accountability is big.
Morgan competitive social first half, then comped with no competition.
Morgan got paranoid. Was Morgan just Morgan or is she Vince’s game?
VInce game? best move Judges. Good at whining and being ally. Unnecessary lying. Final 2’s with 1/2 the jury. Lying or Crying. Messiness and Jury Management. Rachle won’t allow Vince’s game. Kenau out instead of Kelley was a mistake. Vince is the reason everyone is in jury.
Ashley did relatively loyal social master. She’s a lawyer reveal. Non jusges surprised. She was aligned with people keeping her safe and using shields. Dominant alliance membership. She has no resume actively.
GAME OWNERSHIP IS WHAT THEY WANT… BUT PRODUCTION WRITES THE QUESTIONS MOST SEASONS… WILL THEY GET IT?

Nope!

Tyler & Jeff are my faves

I’m glad Weasel lost HOH part 2.

I’m glad Snake lost HOH part 3.

I’m glad Snake is the final juror.

I’m glad Weasel lost the final vote 1-6

Would have been even more poetic if Snake hadn’t given Weasel a sympathy vote.

I was hoping for a unanimous vote against Weasel.

But, Ashley winning 6-1 will have to do.

I’m glad my 3 choices finished 1st, 2nd & 3rd for AFP.

Congratulations to Ashley & Keanu for salvaging the season!

It would have been disgusting to see Snake & Weasel win all the $!

SummerBreeze

I know this is petty but Vinny’s mustache gives me the creeps. He keeps twirling it (disgusting habit), I’d have no problem with it if it was normal looking. And he keeps adjusting his knit cap. He’s annoying to watch.

modern bb is rigged

glad your not negative lol..

You too. rotfl.

Finale
or as many of us have come to call it… Finally.
PART TWO.
Call it a prediction:
It would be a full season arc from premiere to finale if Vince and Ashley faced off. I say this because of week one sets tone thought mixed with the question of how Rachel votes when it comes to a houseguests game vs. her brand. Something made me say that means Ashley wins final HOH while i was cleaning the pool for the last time this season before the episode started.
Final HOH PART TWO CONTINUED
btw… Morgan on feeds revealed Dr. Will as mastermind before the show reveal.
Frankie looks like he’s trying out to be in a travelling off off off broadway (like where the aging hustlers hang out in a bath house) Kiss Coverband.
Vince appears to be kicking Ashley’s ass. But not as much as you’d think.
Vince has knocked down all of his blocks. Ashley then done her second. Ashley has momentum issues. OOPS. Ashley is done hers now…
VIncw order they left the house. ALL OF THEM ARE WRONG. Vince is throwing a tantrum. IT’S NOT THE DAY… IT’S WHAT ORDER THEY LEFT IN.
Apparently THIS WAS AN HOUR LATER….. Vince insult to injury buzz compilation.
ASHLEY WINS PART TWO
Vince whines and cries. Vince throws a tantrum. Meltdown. Waah. no sympathy for cheating weasel.
Dr. Will unmasked. Dr. Will ‘arrested’.
VINCE MELTS DOWN AGAIN.

Final HOH PART THREE
1 Rachel B both correct
2 Will C NAGINI WRONG
3 Kelley B Ashley correct
4 Lauren A Ashley correct
ASHLEY WINS FINAL HOH.
Nagini choked. sorry i’m snickering. Not because Ashley won… because Morgan lost.
Morgan says she knew but answered wrong but knew. fuqifiknow.

EVICTION AND FINAL 2
Vince congrats would be honored to sit final 2 with Ashley.
Morgan proud of you what a journey from week (showergate) nominee to final HOH. Would love to sit final 2 with Ashley.
Ashley thought Morgan would win. Toss up to win vs. Vince.
ASHLEY EVICTS MORGAN.
Exit interview
MORGAN SAYS SHE WOULD HAVE TAKEN ASHLEY TO FINAL 2.
THE JOKE… at no time did Morgan Consider the possibility of an Ashley wins final HOH. Haha Nagini… slither your ass to the jury.
Best friends. um. ugh. Morgan choked. Record tallying. I’ll be impartial.

JURY
Morgan joining the jury gets shock faces.
They wanted Vince to be the final evicted houseguest.
This tells me the jury doesn’t want to vote for Vince to win.
Who wins… the prodopet or the cheating weasel???

Finale
or as many of us have come to call it… Finally.
Part Three
Gonna be honest here…. My winner might lose. Something is really Kraken meets Fukakta about this…. i’m feeling…. like my winner might lose. Ashley might win???????????? ew.
JURY Continued.
Whole jury wants it to be Vince. lmao. Ava shockface.
Rachel screams that Ashley won final HOH.
Jury Questions:
Keanu: Vince emotionally manipulative with bad jury management.
Vince tries to say he was authentic. Self preservation for himself before anyone got him. He had multiple avenues by his social game. Didn’t OWN it… barely acknowledged it.
Rachel: great social game. strategic moves? Ashley says pivoted. attached herself when Zack left to take his place with with MorVin. She suggested Morgan safety and the Judges (which was Will’s idea). Ashley cut off.
Kelley: Vince lying and crying. Was anything sincere? Vince was sincere. DOESN’T OWN HIS GAME AGAIN.
Will: what were your contributions? Ashley was covered by anyone. Judges. Keanu protected. Ashley knew she was strategically covered.
Lauren: Vince game with Morgan. 3 moves that Morgan can’t take credit for. Judges. Nobody would expect it. he’d be middle. He was with Zack until week 5-6. Should have mentioned the Lauren pick in elimination.
Ava: why better than Vince. not just comps… keep yourself safe. Enemies into allies not allies into enemies.
Morgan: what were game moves. Social game. Kelley is openly laughing.
Oh. Ashley wins. Those answers sucked by Vince. TWO JURORS WERE VOTING ASHLEY FOR SURE AS SOON AS MORGAN WAS OUT (Will and Rachel). Vince’s answers made Kelley eyeroll and laugh out loud… and he didn’t own his game which is what Lauren wanted.
KRAKEN.
Ashley just did the survivor Maryanne speech (i saw that episode.. only one i saw that season… the no comp wins winner woman with the i strategically covered myself to get to final 2 from every angle answers… even if they are manipulated evidence in Ashley’s case).

FINAL SPEECHES

Ashley: mission. Target showergate. Won veto. Targetless for 9 weeks. Not most liked or least liked. Elle Woods reveal. I’m a lawyer reveal. Hide her identity by playing dumb. kiss up and i let you think i was stupid. She plays social… be safe when you don’t win comps.
Vince: really unemployed. 10 year applicant. Do everything i could to win. no confidence. comp records. types of comp wins. 14 noms. 9 of 17 nominees. Damage control and middle player. One on ones and strategizing all the time. Got off the block different ways. Got veto used on him. won blockbuster. I ate slept breathed big brother. I lied i manipulated I backstabbed. I played big brother to win.

Votes; easy to see the first two votes are for Ashley. Will fricken said so. Social game from Kelley. Lauren see you in a few minutes. Keanu what a winner should be. Ava for who believed in us when I didn’t (Ashley). Morgan: best game (most like her own).
ASHLEY HAS FOUR VOTES ALREADY BY WHAT THE JURORS SAID PUTTING IN THEIR KEYS. I see Morgan voting Vince. I don’t know Lauren or Keanu. Ashley won.

Commercial break and I’m feeling gross that Ashley won…
why? Not because i was wrong. that happens and i own it when it happens.
I am grossed because… Ashley. won. I’d be gross if my pick Vince won… I truly thought stuntcast Jag prinicple would apply. His d/r is double Ashley’s.

PREJURY:
Zack Final 2 or 3 with Vince. 8 final 2 deals. Morgan and Lauren were his two realish ones.
Jimmy used other people’s HOH’s. Morgan manipulated Mickey.
Morgan ran other people’s games. Morgan was going to take the final 3 to final 3… until end of week one. Keanu was real with Rachel but Judges was more real. Katherine and Riley… together. cringe. body language from Kat says otherwise. Morgan accomplice…. reveal. Morgan thought it was Ava. Amy reveal.
MASTERMIND REAL REVEAL:
Dr. Will was not mastermind? Twists derailed his game. Jesse Pectacles….Frankie… Eric. So three people half the people were saying whodat??? THREE different masks. Painting in sanctum had the twists on the bottom written sideways.

WINNER VOTES:
Morgan votes Vince.
Ava votes Ashley.
Keanu votes Ashley.
Lauren vote Ashley.
Kelley votes Ashley.
Shoulda owned your game VINCE.
ASHLEY WINS??? Ashley won.
?
So someone that twists the reality of what we saw on feeds into what they showed in the episode edit wins.
My chosen winner lost. For that I’m happy. A bullshit winner for a bullshit season.
Sorry my read as of week 4 eviction was wrong. I had Morgan trojan horse and Vince winner after week 4. I admit it my read was off.

AFP:
Rachel Will Keanu are top 3.
KEANU WINS AFP.
Really? oh even more Kraken for the fukakta that is 27.

EDITED: FORGOT TO PUSH POST ON THIS> My bad.

Uncle Sam

Do you think Ashley and Taylor are The worst winners now in big brother?

un autre nom

I don’t think Taylor is the worst winner for her season. I’ve never said that. I think for her season she was a better winner than Monte or Turner. Does that mean I think she would get a win on any other season? No.
Does that mean i thought she played a masterful game? hell no, did you see her HOH? She played stupid games and then pulled the but i was bullied if she was called on her stupid games. BUT… for her season given the final 4…. She was the best choice of that final 4.
Do I personally like her? not really. I think she lacked ownership in her own game week one that led to the women disliking her, which was fanned by Monte and the boys that later claimed to be against bullying. They weren’t against it when they were feeding the frenzy and getting others to lead the charge.
As for as Ashley goes… I think Josh and Jackson are far worse winners.
The puppet masters pulling the strings were much more visible both of their seasons.
Part of me wishes i stayed with my gut week one to four so that i would have kept better track, but i got too smart for my own good and second guessed my impulse into a workable theory. oh well. Never said i’m always right.

This season? the final 4 were two people who played bb part time… and two nopes i have no respect for but on paper are better winners. And the Maryanne-ness of her finale answers… lacked the conviction of the original. A social player trying to prove they were always safe and assured finale has to have tangible proof. She just offered the argument with no evidence and argument. She wasn’t guaranteed finale. She said she was never targeted after week 1 until week 9. We know that isn’t true. Two times she was hot seat to go up… and others for the sake of THEIR games, not Ashley’s social prowess for HER game and self preservation saved her. I take issue with lifting tone and argument from one of the only survivor episodes i’ve watched in the past decade and trying to shoehorn it into bb without having the secret hidden immunity idol gotcha moment or the tangible get what was his name… omar out leads to 5 outcomes all of which took her to final 3 seats.
thought bubble:
I’ll call him omar (he had the same name as one of the brothers i grew up with down the street… and i don’t think his name was azar so i’m going with omar)
So Ashley pulled the i was in final 2 by top 9 no matter who won without having the actual proof it was true. I found her answers to jury questions to be supposition without backing evidence that made a jury afraid to be called bitter buy into them more.
Vince created a bitter jury.
The fact that everyone in jury was acting and or saying they wanted Vince evicted means they were bitter and never voting for a Vince win. Vince didn’t help his cause by failing ownership of his game. Cheating weasel couldn’t take accountability and instead wishy washed himself into second place.
Imagine if in jury answers Vince had said he was the villain. Imagine he’d said he used and threw people away because that was how he knew he could get to finale. Imagine game ownership. That gets him one more vote at least. Maybe 2. He was never getting Rachel and Will and Ava. The votes he needed to own his game to were Kelley, Lauren and Keanu. He didn’t. He tried to snowjob ‘oh you just didn’t understand’ them.

Do i think Ashley won more than Vince lost?
That is the real question.

Uncle Sam

I just can’t believe that a coaster just won this coaster win this and how people are doing it that she was not the goat but it was Vince. Not a standard guy, but he by far and away deserved it over Ashley . She had this vastly overrated, social game that she tries to claim when nobody could trust her for being a blabbermouth when they just dragged her along like a backpack with dead weight because she was worthless and was easy to beat and heading out impact it was just used as somebody’s number. Then former players are talking about how she has great reads and amazing social game which is baffling.
Do you perceive Ashley as being a total production pet that was aided by them throughout the season? Then took way to credit for many things she didn’t do? Judges and will vote? With her first veto, do you think they tipped her off and set her up to get that veto?

“Big Brother winner is someone who turns their enemies into allies, not their allies into enemies, which the counterpart next to me did” I just can’t get over thinking that this was a winning statement when she did next to nothing.

I just don’t see how Ashley can not be at the very bottom of winners with Taylor especially for the females.

Writing mama

Honestly they all had different ways of playing the game but in my own opinion I think the jury voted mostly for Vince to lose rather than Ashley to win. Just my opinion

TennisAnyone

By far, but Taylor more so.

The Beef

IMHO Ashley is probably the worst winner ever in US Big Brother history. She’s worse than Josh who won 3 HOH’s and 1 Veto, and she’s worse than Jag, who was evicted from BB25 on a 10-0 vote week 4, only to be saved by some BS power Matt was semi voted by America and semi won by competition after that vote.

Taylor was bad too, but she at least won 2 HOH’s during her season. Ashley won that one Veto, and was basically “gifted” the final HOH as we all saw last night when Vince imploded in the part 2 HOH comp, and Morgan took the apple and gagged on it in part 3.

I cannot for the life of me understand how or why the people on the jury would think it was a good idea to have Ashley as the representative/winner of your season of Big Brother! Her arguments sounded like they were being said by a damn robot! None of them made any sense at all, because none of them were true, other than the fact she made “friends” with Rachel, Will, Morgan, Ava and Mickey. The rest (Keanu, Lauren, and Kelley) were just pissed off at Vince, and voted bitter. Rachel, Will and Ava voted to give money to their friend, and withhold it from Vince.

Not a single vote was cast for Ashley because she played a better game than Vince. Not ONE! They can say “social game” all they want, but that’s a lie and justification to give the money to Ashley, just because they don’t like Vince.

I don’t like him either, but that’s not what you’re supposed to be voting on when you’re on the jury.

Vince’s arguments may not have been great, but at least he had the data and the GAME to back his up! I don’t think it would have mattered if he had spoken like MLK jr. or maybe FDR during WW2, those people weren’t going to vote for him.

I just think it’s bad for the game when these juries keep on voting for players who clearly don’t play the best games and don’t deserve to win, to win for whatever reason.

un autre nom

My reason for Josh:
remember when he melted down in the lounge over d/r feeding him what to say in gbm’s because he didn’t believe it? Production fed him what to say in his goodbye messages that the jury used as the reason he should win.
My reason for Jackson?
I have never watched a more pitiful display of production pre-ordaining a winner, manipulating season and outcomes… and because their golden boy was an addict going through active withdrawal… no… Jackson is the biggest blemish on big brother winners. He just IS. If prodo has to make the have not room into a psych hold detox suite for a week in order to make sure their winner wins? That’s not just unscrupulous… it’s pathetic.

Ashley… a coaster won by saying comps don’t matter and social game is likeability… when half the cast or more actively disliked her but thought she was too pathetic to target.

But… hey…. Ashely won because Vince lost. Vince losing was the point more than Ashley winning. Put Vince next to the toaster… toaster wins as long as it is plugged in.

Evict Rachel

would you say both ashley and taylor were coasters and if so why did they reward such mediocrity in being pathetic

makensy was much deserving of a win vs a taylor or an Ashley in final 2

Tyler & Jeff are my faves

Makensy Manbeck is one of my all-time favorites.

My favorites rarely win.

But they do finish 2nd sometimes(Makensy, Tyler etc.).

Not this year, thank goodness.

Once Keanu left, my favorite was Ashley.

Just couldn’t stand the idea of Weasel or Snake getting the $750k.

un autre nom

Taylor wasn’t a coaster. She was not a great player because she depended on her circumstance as a victim of bullying to win through social intimidation (imagine being a juror that votes against the bullying victim that you actively took part in bullying…. that got national attention). She did win comps. She did have a social game within her groups… BUT…
Had she NOT been the mob’s punching bag…
Would she have won?
DId she ever take ownership that she walked in saying she was going to get in with the guys, and acting guys girl noticeably so that the women of the house took offense, and in such a way that one of the guys (Monte) decided she was a player and had to go. The method and technique of her week one social strategy led to being alienated… the alienation was hyped up by 2 women and that same guy Monte.
She didn’t walk in without strategy. She didn’t play without a strategy.
She was just bad at strategic thinking if you look at her HOH specifically.

Makensy had comp wins. She was a strategic idiot.

Evict Rachel

makensy she did get others such as Leah and chelsie to use their hohs to help her, push her forward or take out her allies plus one. do I believe Chelsie deserved to win over makensy sure but makensy was going to lose to all those people even cam among kimo and Rubina who were flat out coasters and that is my point especially with Ashley you say she coaster if could explain why she is a coaster
but then at the same time Makensy earned her way to the end and was still going lose to everyone no matter what but these other coaster are given more credit to win and it is quite ridiculous to say they have better win equity and we’re better when they did nothing

juliesfashionfails

In the context of her game that you describe exactly, Taylor has so much more win equity than Ashley for actually having fought for her life in the game, despite it being her own fault for making herself a target. That’s akin to Vinny, his own fault for messing up so bad that his became a game of damage control. But the guy worked and fought and survived.

That’s why I really thought Vinny would have Kelley’s vote, because Kelley had a rough game journey while Ashley sat all comfy with the popular kids. I didn’t expect such a bitter mob mentality in the jury. I understand now why it turned out the way it did, why I was so so wrong about those votes.

Taylor’s game flaw really stood out to me week 1 when she paraded around with her pageant shiny jumpsuit. The other girls’ faces, how does Taylor not realize she would trigger that effect? She’s not stupid. I thought maybe she was socially clueless, but in retrospect that doesn’t quite fit. I understand playing to the men, but maybe don’t alienate the women at the same time. Be a bit more subtle, perhaps?

Tyler & Jeff are my faves

Weasel got what he deserved.

Should have been unanimous.

Uncle Sam

I agree in a lot of ways of what you’re saying believe me she might be the very worst winner ever Ashley. Then Taylor is really close it because that twist was not far off from jags as the house would’ve had to of voted for someone in the nomination chairs Terrence or Taylor to know who would’ve needed a twist to award them a bonus chance life for a second chance of staying in the game to compete for player chosen by Joe . But I agree though Ashley is maybe at the very bottom . And I feel dumber for caring or given as much time as I did to the season because there is no way that she earned that win and nor the jury say that they voted for the person who played the best game because there’s no way that she did . She literally was a coaster. I can’t describe it at all as to why or how Ashley deserved to winthis game or how anybody can justify some way that she had some stroke of brilliance or social mastery or can have such great reads. When all she was was essentially Rachel’s blabbermouth lap dog who couldn’t even vote properly in may have had one of the cringes speeches and veto ceremony history . Players were only keeping her because she was such a goat. Now cause she won they’re changing the narrative that it was actually Vince that was the goat and not Ashley smh just doesn’t add up at all. This girl is a terrible winner and nobody can claim that she ruined that win. I mean it’s insane to see Rachel. Try to say floaters grab a license when now Simon says it’s really coasters grabbed your 750 K.

Tyler & Jeff are my faves

To paraphrase The Beef, if you’re gonna quote the great Rachel Reilly Villegas, get the quote right:

It’s: “Floaters grab a life vest!”

Uncle Sam

“the life vest” was a TYPO on my part. Even ask un autre nom. Rachel got the quote wrong just as she constantly makes attribution error with how she classifies terms in Big Brother. It really is coasters was what the correct term that should have been used by her. Rachel is so full of it with the im not going to let this jury vote bitter garbage when that is exactly what she did. This season she just rewarded a coaster to win 750K making her self to yet again be a bias hypocrite.

Tyler & Jeff are my faves

Sounds like you’re part of the bitter jury.

Anyone who thinks anyone is worse than racist Jackson Michie is delusional.

The Beef

YOU are entitled to your opinion, just like I am. The fact you like Ashley and dislike Vince and Morgan, and are happy she won because of that, makes YOU the bitter jury voter, not me.

I don’t like any of the three of them, and my opinion is based solely on their game play, or in Ashley’s case, lack thereof. Jackson may be a racist, but he played a lot better game than Ashley did, and THAT’S what were talking about here – not the fact he whispered a racial epithet to his also racist friend Jack while in the house.

You want to list him as the worst winner ever? Fine, go ahead and do so. That’s your opinion. That doesn’t make me delusional. That means we have a difference of opinion. That’s ALL it means!

Gan ainm

I don’t think your read was off, that’s how the script was scripting but no one told the jury, Oops.

Tyler & Jeff are my faves

Agreed.

un autre nom

Final d/r count
Vince 326
Morgan 205
Ashley 171

Not since bb17 Steve has a winner had such a low percentage d/r count (bottom half of the cast in average for number of episodes each appeared in). Ashley was low end of Mid tier as best and in the bottom tier by count often.
Not usual. At all.
In fact in neonewschool it should not happen. Even with her camtalks.
This season we saw Ashley in “danger” week one.. then we got nothing for weeks. Like she wasn’t playing or important to the storyline at all (even getting zero d/r in an episode where they edited out that she was in danger of being a renom). Remember… they edited out Ashley was at risk and needed Mickey and Jimmy acting in their own game interests to keep her off the block (they wanted to keep numbers, not Ashley specifically).
This was why I was saying she has an incomplete story arc from beginning to end… and the winner has plotholes like her episode game is how she answered jury questions… mot her feeds game. That’s a bit tinfoil. just a bit.

So.
Ashley…won.
or…. Vince lost.
Why I’m putting it this way:
The jury was determined NOT to be called a bitter jury… but openly said jury management is part of the game as a caveat so that they had a game reason to vote bitter.
Note: The jurors wanted Vince to be a juror.
That means they were not voting hiim winner. And why? Because his jury management and game style left them bitter but bitter with the explanation that jury management is part of the game.
I’d mentioned weeks ago that houseguests create bitter juries because they mishandle their game relationships. Vince failed to own his game, own he was a villain. He tried to be likeable justalittleguydontchaknow… and my gut feeling… he was trying to lead the jury to believe they just misunderstood his villainy so he’s sorry they erroneously have hurt feelings.
Now he’s not a winner and he can get Christined like he deserves. Cheating weasel.
But…
Do I consider Ashley’s game a winning game? Hell to the no.
Ashley won because the jury didn’t WANT to award Vince’s game. All they needed was for her to say she DID something… even if she really didn’t. Judges? That was Will’s idea. Never in danger once Rachel left? She was a nominee under Lauren… but was less likeable than Will so she wasn’t worth evicting. She’ll say that was by design. Not that part really. She basically said comps don’t matter… in a challenge based season where she might as well not have competed in EVERY comp except the last two.

Tinfoil?
Beyond my initial read that i didn’t trust that Ashley was in a final 2 seat that i then downgraded to final 3 but not winner as of week 4….
Is there anything that prodo would be saying ‘yeah we don’t want a Vince win’ about?
His edit shifted the closer we got to finale… and there is the cheating weasel stuff they showed in episodes. That’s not the kind of winner Grod and Paramount wants rewarded. So… did that play a part?
Did Josh… I mean Ashley get the win because a Paul, I mean Vince win would be unpalatable?

Yeah… I think VInce lost more than Ashley won.
Good for her… at least she was just yellowcard and not nope.
Still dislike her greatly.
Something about prodopets annoys me. A prodopet winner annoys me even more.
The fact I dropped my initial gut read of the season and overthought? It happens.
Still think NOBODY in future seasons is going to say I want to play an Ashley game.
BUT
Nobody is going into future seasons wanting to play like ANY of the Assholes of Season 27.
I feel like I wasted my time this year more than I feel like i’m satisfied. I’m not.

Thank you all for all you do!

I don’t mind being wrong. I’m just giving my opinions like anyone else.
I just make sure to say when I’m wrong to own it.
If I’m going to talk about ownership as a big one in big brother for me, it would be silly for me not to own being wrong.
What generally irks me is that i ignored first impulse because it seemed too simple… and spent weeks trying to find a pattern that would make sense in a season that made sense. my mistake.
This seasons never made sense.

I love everything you post. You are the main reason that I spend so much time here every summer. Thank you very much for being you!

Whatever

Bahahahaha, this is glorious!

Let’s just hope Ashley can pull off the miracle win!!!!

Robert

Drama to the end!! I am glad that they showed Vince spiraling after Part 2 and I am pleasantly surprised by Ashley winning Part 3

Greyson

Watching him have a temper tantrum like a three-year-old was both shocking and only underlined how petty, self-obsessed, and awful the Weasel was.

I’m glad Morgan gets nothing. She spent months late night after late night.. talking and talking and talking and rubbing and hugging and leading Vince to believe it was more that she knew it would ever be. She rode him till she realized that he realized. Then let him beg for an answer to the question, “Are you taking me?”

Now don;t get me wrong. I’m not pulling for Vince. He’s a slimy weasel and I hate that he’s guaranteed at least 75K, but I would be more angry if Morgan won.

I want to call Morgan a whore, but Ashley kicked her out before she got paid. Whores get paid.

Cheating Island

Is this Vinny’s (ex) girlfriend?

NoMoBro

No. I’m not that attractive. I just think she gives all women a bad look.

She is the cliche gold digger. One who plays on men’s sexual desires to get what they want.

Women like her are the reason why a lot of guys won’t even ask a woman out anymore. They feel like they’ve lost before they even try.

Had she been genuine and actually cared about Vince, then I wouldn’t feel this way. I have nothing against GENUINE affection in the house.

This was not genuine.

If I didn’t hate Vinnie so bad, I might feel bad for him.

She NEVER had any intention of being with Vince. I doubt she’ll even hang out with him after the show.

Fefe

How is she a gold digger when he’s BROKE? Last time I checked, she never had sex with him. I didn’t want either Vince or Morgan to win but would never go so low as to call her a whore!!! He played on everyone’s emotions and they fell for it.He played with their mental psyche knowing he wouldn’t take half of the people he aligned himself with a final 2 deal. We all watched as his game play and lies got him $75k. If he loses his girlfriend it won’t be because of Morgan, it’s on him!!

Karen

Well I suppose she could have been a gold digger in advance? Thinking if he won, she might get second place and some cold hard cash. I wanted neither of them to get a penny because they were so unbelievably obnoxious, tedious and disgusting. I think even Beyond the production nonsense, those two completely ruined the game for me. So much so that I won’t be watching anymore. It was hard to look away once you were caught up in the drama, but now I just want to forget the whole thing

The Beef

He could have won final HOH and taken her to final 2. That could have gotten her either $750k or $75k. That’s not chump change, and she wouldn’t be the first to use flirtation and actual $ex inside that house to guarantee their spot in the final 2.

Priceless!

Sonar

Really hoping the Lip doesn’t win.
Huge thank you to Simon and Dawg!!!

Gan ainm

The most humiliating thing to happen all season is Morgan losing that final comp to Ashley.

TennisAnyone

For sure. Poetic justice.

NoMoBro

Ashley was fed the answers in her earpiece. Just as the script intended.

mooning

I think Morgan and Vinny threw the last comps as I believe Production plan was for the Ashley (worst floater in the worst season) to win. It’s not what you know but who you know … I feel like a fool wasting my time watching the show.

Tyler & Jeff are my faves

Weasel is not a good enough “actor” to fake that meltdown reaction to his HOH loss.

Otherwise he’d be employed.

As for Snake, no way she threw part 3.

She’d invested too much time & effort & manipulation to throw it all away.

Ashley won the week one veto to save herself.

Ashley won the final HOH part 2 to beat Weasel & get to the end.

Ashley won the final HOH part 3 to beat Snake & win the final HOH.

As Rachel said, it’s important to win comps when you HAVE to.

Ashley won every comp she HAD to win.

Ashley chose correctly & evicted Morgan, who she would have lost to.

Ashley gave the jury the easy choice of herself or Weasel.

And the jury made the right choice.

Except for Morgan’s sympathy vote.

The best thing about it all is that neither Weasel nor Snake won season 27.

What a HUGE relief that is!!!

The Beef

That was either the biggest choke job I’ve seen in a very long time on Big Brother, she threw the comp (which I don’t know why she would do that) or the fix was in.

Evict Rachel

do know for sure if she threw that comp or if the fix was in. do you think it was possible ashley was fed the answers?

When the wind blows

Yes

The Beef

I do not know either of those things. It’s just hard for me to believe she missed I think it was 4 of the 5 answers after all the studying they do in there, and with everything on the line. Keep in mind the first option was it was the biggest choke job, which maybe it was exactly that.

Tyler & Jeff are my faves

Ashley got every question right.

She knew exactly what she was doing all season.

She pretended to be Elle Wood until she didn’t need to anymore.

The Georgetown Law grad, who quit her big $ job with a prestigious international law firm to go on Big Brother, finally quit playing dumb.

She used her big brain to win the big $.

Even if Snake did make it easier for her by choking, she still got EVERY question right.

She earned the win.

And, of the final 3, she deserved the win.

No matter what all you Ashley bashers say, she is a far better representative of the show, the network & the brand than either Snake or Weasel would have been.

And, for you who say Ashley’s the worst(or, with Taylor, 1 of 2 worst)winner ever, I say:

Two very intelligent, very well-educated, highly articulate & highly attractive young women, who happen to be black, are FAR better representatives to the world of what Big Brother winners SHOULD BE than either Jackson Michie or Josh Martinez.

If you disagree, that says more about you than it does about them.

When the wind blows

If Ashley was white, I would still feel the same way about Ashley. Skin color doesn’t matter. If this was BB 6 years ago, Vince would have won why? Because the jury didn’t vote based on hurt feelings. I detest Vince and Morgan, but they competed and frankly, this show would have been even more boring and awful if everyone played like Ashley did. A coaster.

Uncle Sam

Ashley is a such coaster. It beyond foolish to say otherwise.

Tyler & Jeff are my faves

I also would feel the same about Ashley were she white.

It’s not about race.

It’s about representation.

It’s about class, dignity, poise, confidence, brains, beauty, education & grace.

Whether you agree or not, the fact is that Taylor Hale & Ashley Hollis are far better representatives of Big Brother to the world than many previous winners.

Not just the despicable Jackson Michie.
Or Josh Martinez.
Or Adam.
Or Andy.
I could go on because there are many more examples.
But I’ll end with one all you Rachel bashers will agree with: my girl Rachel.

It pains me to say it because I’ve been rooting for her as a true underdog for 15 years on multiple shows on several networks.
But, the truth is, my girl is one of many former BB winners who don’t have the poise, the dignity, the serenity, the education(Rachel does have that), the brain(Rachel has that), the confidence(Rachel is very insecure), the beauty, the class or the grace of:

Taylor Hale and Ashley Hollis.

The Beef

OMG, kiss my ass would you? It has nothing to do with the color of her skin, and everything to do with how she didn’t play the game!

She didn’t earn the win and she didn’t deserve it. If you want somebody who didn’t even play the game to represent your season as champion then that says more about the jury than it does about anything, and that is that they were BITTER.

Apparently you’re too dense to see that, and want to imply that I’m racist when I’m not, just because you’ve changed your pick of the month to Ashley at the end of the game, just because she bumbled her way to a win, or more accurately, Vince pissed everybody off, and therefore he lost. Do not say or imply that race has anything to do with my opinion, when it is in fact based solely on how she played the game.

BTW, since you’re trying to call me a racist – why do you think I’m not denigrating last years winner Chelsea, who is also a black female? For the record, Chelsea played the BEST game last season, and very clearly deserved to WIN!

Tyler & Jeff are my faves

Loved it!

Couldn’t happen to a more slitherin’ Snake!

3 black women winning big brother would be a record and before a second black man wins…better than survivor odds

Karen

The Beef

A record for what? You do know everybody is exactly the same don’t you? The only difference is just a little melanin. The sooner we all stop making a big deal about that, the better off everybody will be.

Tyler & Jeff are my faves

I agree with your sentiment.

Sadly, melanin has been and continues to be a big deal in this country.

It began in 1609, when the first Africans were kidnapped and brought here against their will as slaves.

Forced servitude of black people(or, as you call them, the melanin people)for their lifetime and their children’s lifetimes and their children’s lifetimes continued unabated for 254 years(13 generations).

It was against the law to teach a “melanin” person how to read or write. For more than a quarter of a millennium. Slavery of the ” melanin” people was the scourge of America. It’s vestiges remain even today.

It was included in our “sacred” founding Constitution 179 years(9 generations) after US slavery began. The “melanin” people were declared, in our founding document, of all places, to be only three fifths of a human.

We fought a great Civil War over how the “melanin” people should continue to be treated. Thank God and Abraham Lincoln the North won. Otherwise, we might still have slavery in America today..

Our greatest president(despite what the convicted felon in the Oval Office says)was and will always be Abraham Lincoln. He ended slavery in 1863 with his Emancipation Proclamation. Same year he gave the Gettysburg Address. It was a busy year for Abe. The good guys won the war 2 years later. Then Abe was assassinated.

Texas “melanin” people weren’t notified of their freedom until 2 months after President Lincoln was murdered. On June 19th, 1865. Two YEARS after the Emancipation Proclamation. Hence the Juneteenth holiday.

The history of America got better for “melanin” people after emancipation. But not a lot.

The plantation owners in the south simply converted their slave “melanin” people into indentured servitude “melanin” people. Nothing much changed. “Melanin” people continued to be second class citizens in America for more than another century.

In 1972, when I transferred(at my parents’ request)from the Ohio State University to Memphis State University, I was shocked to see ALL public restrooms and ALL public drinking fountains labeled with metal signs saying: “WHITE ONLY” or “COLORED”. In 1972!!!

I’ve lived in Memphis for 53 years now. There has been some progress.

The “WHITE ONLY” and “COLORED” signs finally came down. A decade after they were made illegal by the 1964 Civil Rights Act.

But, Memphis is still largely segregated. The whites with money moved to the suburbs to avoid forced integration through busing, which began in 1970. They populate Germantown, Collierville, Arlington, Lakeland and several others. The “melanin” people with money, black doctors, lawyers, dentists, bankers, architects, accountants, other professionals and successful business people, created their own mansion neighborhoods in the heart of the city of Memphis, along the Parkways, North and South.

And, to this very day, the “melanin” people of Memphis, (and, I suspect, of many other places in the south, especially the rural south—which was my sales territory when I was working my way through college), still are far more victimized by crime and by the public education system of the inner city than the non-melanin people.

Your sentiment is noble.

Reality is not.

Kumbaya will not arrive soon in this country, if ever.

I don’t recommend holding your breath until it does.

DD1309

Vinny…now I know why you are unemployed and living with your parents. You are a whiny ass man, manipulative in all your ways, and you have no desire to do hard work.

Karen

And I predict he’ll blow through that money in no time and still never move out of his parents basement or get a job. Delusional and probably thinks he’ll make it on Survivor haha

Gan ainm

This really has been the season of Vinny.

Another Dixie

That last answer, I think, just nailed Vinny’s coffin closed. Loved Kelly’s reaction.

d...

ooh, wonder if vince needing the money more than ashley plays into the juror’s decisions.

Ray

Nope!!!!!

Vinnie flops like a dead fish

Then they’d just be enablers :/

Tyler & Jeff are my faves

I love your screen name!

The Beef

Those people don’t care that Vinny needs the money, just like they don’t care who played the best game. All they care about is they got their feelings hurt, so they’re voting accordingly.

The entire final 3 sucked – actually the final 4 sucked. Once Keanu left, the game was over for me.

Gan ainm

Vinny not owning his game, meanwhile the lawyer is coming out.

Robert

That is part of the reason Ashley won. Lauren was going to vote for Ashley as soon as Vince didn’t do what she wanted: Own his game

Gan ainm

They were also all bitter.

Ray

Is the defenition of being bitter keeping your word….seems to me several of the jurors told The Lip,,if you send me out…you lose my vote. Then Morgan massaged his back and said, oh they,Il get over it…LOL well they didn’t and that’s called bad jury management…

The Beef

People say that every single season in an attempt to blackmail there way into staying in the game. I’ve never once seen it work.

Tyler & Jeff are my faves

Weasel had SEVEN final twos!

This was anything but a normal season.

They each told him that he would lose their jury vote if he betrayed their final 2.

He betrayed all of his many final 2s(except Morgan).

And he received the jury vote of the only one of his final twos that he did not betray.

He hoisted himself by his own petard.

Couldn’t happen to a more disgusting Weasel!

Morgan Plays on Easy Mode

Accountability still matters, sometimes. Thankfully.

Tyler & Jeff are my faves

Thank goodness!

Tre Billis

He owned his game.

The Beef

I agree that Vince not owning his game didn’t help, but let’s be honest – those people weren’t voting for Vince anyway.

Plus, if Ashley argues in court like she argued on Big Brother (like a robot), I hope she marries well.

Tre Billis

You watched something different then I. Vince owned his game. He said so in his final answers.

juliesfashionfails

The problem is that they wanted Vinny’s ownership to match how he made them feel, the emotional reasoning in jury of how wicked he truly is as a person.

He was supposed to say he was exactly the cold calculating devious guy who just messed with them recklessly.

He just isn’t that person.

It is his fault for not using game logic to justify his moves as he was playing. Instead of apologizing and acting like the victim who was forced.

Vinny didn’t connect that to why jury felt so used and hurt. He genuinely has a victim mentality, his life default.

Rubber Ducky For The Win

Ashley: “I graduated from Georgetown.” Camera pans to Vince instantly crapping his pants. LOL

Bb0824

I know people here don’t like Vinny but Ashley literally woke up and started playing big brother 3 days ago. Based on the jury reactions, it looks like she has it in the bag and will instantly be the worst winner of all time

d...

ashley has two underrated moves before winning final2 that she deserves credit for. 1) she avoided the fate of perpetual pawn after showergate and 2) she got will evicted instead of herself, both are super subtle and hard to take credit for, but are game moves. i still don’t think she’s a particularly worthy winner, but she did play the game.

The Beef

How the hell did Ashley get Will evicted instead of herself? Vince and Morgan were always keeping Ashley over Will and Ava and Kelley were always keeping Will over Ashley! Keanu made the decision to evict Will based on the fact neither one of them could win a competition to save their own ass, but Will was the most loved person in the house! I’m sure she campaigned to Keanu, as everybody should when they’re on the block, but he made up his own mind and wasn’t “misted” by Ashley whatsoever.

She didn’t go back up week 2 because Jimmy won HOH and she was aligned with him through Mickey, Morgan, Will and the rest of that group at that time, so again, she really didn’t “do” anything. This is the fallacy of those who try to argue she had this great “social game”, when in reality she did nothing.

Evict Rachel

what is with everyone making it seem that ashley was some social savant when she coasted off of the work others keeping her for their own reasons

d...

will was so much worse at comps. i personally would’ve taken him to final 3. no way he wins either part 1 or 2 and if i lose part 3, the other person has to evict him or they just lose. i give ashley a modicum of credit for preventing people from seeing that.

once a pawn always a pawn can frequently befall players who get nominated as pawns, especially early. it was certainly kelley’s fate. ashley’s avoidance of the block after her first nomination is quality play.

juliesfashionfails

This season the house viewed beloved low game threats as absolute winners in F2. That dye was cast from the start and it carried all the way to Ashley’s coaster game being seen as of true value.

Sometimes HGs exaggerate on others’ win equity as part of game misting, but it did seem genuine that they were so worried at the end about Ava’s ‘social game’.

Players like Keanu always want to play a true competitor game without carrying a goat. Morgan has a version of that gamer mentality to not look at low threat HG as a goat, but it’s also just bad strategy on her part to keep Ashley over Ava. You drop your ‘alliance’ at that point.

This is also why Rachel hurt the season so much. I think a lot of the social game BS came from fear of Rachel’s retaliation over her protected crew. Her self-misting about loyalty as it suits her own game. In the game she’ll come after you, in the jury house she’ll poison jury while conjuring reasons why her loyal ally had a well rounded game.

I guess if the house fell under Rachel’s power then it’s their own fault. Those who didn’t fawn got picked off due to flaws in their own game. But that created such a power imbalance for whoever was aligned with Rachel.

Ashley exploited her random alliance ‘choice’ in her speech as smart game, whereas typically at early game it tends to be where the cards fall on social vibes. The social climbers and mean people gravitate to a Rachel. Even if it were intentionally strategic, that’s all it takes to win now? Choose your power leader and ride the shield?

One major point overlooked is that Ashley benefited post jury by the Rachel power of the Judges keeping Morgan loyal, also bc Morgan did want to have one alliance to ride with. So Morgan carried Ashley through jury by comp wins AND MORGAN’S grip on Vinny.

Morgan was also a flocker to the upper social strata of Rachel once she realized she’d been relegated to the outcast crew.

Vinny knew better but he made so many mistakes and also fell into the mist fear of ‘likable social game’. Morgan lost bc once the Judges formed she played for Rachel more than she realized and that’s why she lost to Ashley. Maybe she’d have still choked but mental comp state is very impacted at F3 by who is there, especially for an emotional player like Morgan. Not sure if Ava could have ever finished the main portion of part 2 comp anywhere in time range to actually put pressure on Vinny’s brain to shut down.

In any case if the jury actually had given Ava a win over Vinny they’d be the laughing stock of BB history let them have it. Ashley in F2 was a much easier person for jury to manufacture their reasons for a vote.

Anyway I think Ava would have taken Morgan bc she’s so bitter, and Vinny probably take Morgan.

So basically we have this unworthy winner bc of Rachel allowed to play. Good on you BB ya bozos.

d...

i think you make fairly valid points. just get rid of rachel early or better yet never cast her and the season is potentially saved. i still don’t begrudge ashley for realizing this season’s winner would be determined by likability but it does make the flaws in morgan and vince’s games larger, with booting the unlikable kelley (at least as far as the jury was concerned) as a game losing mistake.

Rubber Ducky For The Win

I would have to agree.

Uncle Sam

If Ashley wins tonight she is the wurst winner next to Taylor and it is not close.

Ray

Totally agree….here’s hoping for a deserving winner in BIG Brother 28

The Beef

I think she’s worse than Taylor. IMHO she’s the worst of all time in US Big Brother.

Uncle Sam

Fair enough. Agreed, she really is a bad very bottom winner Ashley. I don’t understand where this rhetoric of Ashley being a great social player with impeccable reads is coming from. She is a very bottom winner. Do you think there was any scripting or multiple moments of production manipulation that was involved with Ashley?

Gan ainm

All it takes is a good finale speech.

Jonathan nieves

I couldn’t agree more she’s the worst winner. The goalpost changes all the time tho. Sad that she won because she knows how to articulate not because she did anything.

juliesfashionfails

Goalpost is way low and center now. The game is so watered down on win equity.

I have been disappointed many times at finale, but never have I felt like maybe I won’t watch next season. So much more scripting and production interference, and now the jury thinks that a social game of collecting shields and a small common move or two is actual strategy. The stuff Ashley cited is just mid being awake and not just sleeping like Ava.

So sad for the days when the game was so much more authentic.

The Beef

I’ve been watching this show almost since the beginning (I didn’t watch the 1st season, but reviewed it on YouTube). The past 5 seasons have just gotten worse and worse as far as production interference, horrible casting, and at least 3 winners that IMO were undeserving. I enjoy coming here to keep up and read what everybody thinks, but it’s gotten to the point where I’m not even enjoying that anymore because of the lousy game play and what I think are piss poor casts.

I’m not sure if I’ll be back here, or even watch the show next year and I hate when people post that, but that’s how I’m feeling right now after seeing another unworthy winner. I could have lived with either Morgan or Vince winning because they both played hard and I felt like they both put in the work and deserved to win, but I can’t say that about Ashley. She just didn’t do anything that deserved even ONE vote, much less six.

Uncle Sam

I feel your frustration. Ashley coasted all season and set the bar even lower than Taylor which is hard to believe. What points do you think there was production manipulation with Ashley. Even her comp wins seem fishy. Let alone the votes.

Tyler & Jeff are my faves

You are entitled to your opinion.

The Jury is entitled to theirs.

Fortunately, theirs counts and yours doesn’t.

The Beef

And unfortunately you didn’t learn anything when you got blistered earlier this season, made your fake apologies, and then came back.

You don’t need to post on every comment and you damn sure don’t need to post everything that pops into your mind.

I got news for you. Nobodies opinion on here counts towards who wins. Did you think you needed to tell us that, or did you think your smart ass comment somehow makes you look superior? Here’s some more news – it doesn’t.

Tyler & Jeff are my faves

Never left. Never will.

The apologies, unlike the Weasel’s tears, we’re real.

d...

we’re ever gonna get worse production manipulation than pandora’s box. so happy that gimmick has been retired.

Mark t

She checks a box for cbs. Totally called it!

Karen

Yep, she was a shoe in for CBS. Just what they wanted. What cracked me up about all her answers/speeches was that with all the never ending nauseating talk talk talk from morgan, I don’t think she holds a candle too Ashley when it comes to being verbose. Funny that the chin bot had to shut her up every. single. time.

Lyn

I absolutely hate that she won!!! She did literally nothing, so now next seasons players will all be Ashley’s!! This is disgraceful to the game. I was no big Vinny fan, but at least he attempted to play the game, and not play dumb!!!

d...

he may have not been trying to play dumb, but that’s still how he played.

The Beef

Maybe he played dumb, but at least he played. I’ll take 4 HOH’s and a blockbuster win against 1 veto and 1 gifted HOH, even if it was the final one. You and I both know she was never “winning” that final HOH had Vince not misread the instructions in part 2, but not only that, Morgan totally choked in part 3. Nobody, and I mean NOBODY thought she was winning that last HOH, yet here we are. It almost feels like maybe the fix was in.

How do you go from not only not winning anything from week 1 to week 12 to all of a sudden winning twice against the 2 people who have won the most in the house all season long? Maybe Grodner had something to do with that?

d...

eh, i always get somewhat warry of comps based on studying because production can so easily observe what houseguests are studying incorrectly. you are right that vince and morgan choked, but i think the bigger issue is ashley even being there. kelley or lauren are maybe bigger comp threats but have so fewer allies on the jury. i think if they’re going to rely so heavily on comp wins to justify poor social game (and then blow the comp wins), they should at least try to keep competitive comp performers in the house to make those comp wins impressive.

TennisAnyone

He didn’t have to play dumb because he IS dumb. Dumb moves too numerous to mention.

Tyler & Jeff are my faves

That was priceless!

Sorry Simon. It has been determined that if Vince wins he’s staying with you for the week

Team Chelsie (aka Team Taylor)

Final 3 Summary:

1. Ashley – HOLY CRAP!!! What an underdog story. She lasted longer than I expected. After winning the first Veto, she relegated herself to Rachel’s sidekick. But she came out of nowhere with good alliances and won Final HOH to evict Morgan. Well done! Enjoy as many showers for as long as you want!!

2. Vince – I haven’t seen a grown man cry this much since BB2 Bunky. He was a people pleaser and someone like him who wields power is a danger to everyone including their allies. He never planted a flag, never stood on business, and blurred boundaries with one HG. I hope it was worth it because it cost him the game and his now ex-girlfriend. Get some professional help. Never come back.

3. Morgan – it took the whole season, but justice for Jimmy has finally arrived!! Her social game set her up in alliances with Triple Threat, Melting Pot, and The Judges. Her inability to win comps in the pre-jury phase set her up for a Comp Beast run and the key person who got Lauren and Keanu out. Too bad karma came back in the form of her ally — Ashley — evicting her right before Final 2. Good luck on “The Challenge”.

Well done winning the BB Draft Taylor Hale!

Keanu AFH – I don’t think he deserves this due to his poor social game. Everyone who voted for him is just as delusional as he was in the house. But good for him I guess.

This is Team Chelsie (aka Team Taylor) signing off. See y’all next season as I return with the name “Team Jimmy”!

Second chance for BB8 Eric!!

d...

eh, afp is a popularity thing, doesn’t mean best game. keanu was a welcome contrast to rachel and many other player’s sense of entitlement this season.

TennisAnyone

Exactly. AFP is simply who the viewers liked the most and was rooting for. It’s never been about best game.

I figured long ago Keanu would win AFP, and knew it would rub several houseguest’s noses in it. I’m so so happy he won big bucks – – – nooooo whammy !!!

d...

keanu and rachel were the only contenders and rachel’s only there due to her returnee status that somehow automatically gets her votes even though like many returnees she’s absolutely insufferable.

TennisAnyone

Agree totally.

Karen

He and Lauren were definitely the most likable. I think Keanu tried to be as much a gentleman as possible, a considering the bunch he was thrown in with. And Lauren was okay. Perhaps if Morgan had a pleasant, soft voice like Lauren she would not have been so insufferable in the live feeds!

TennisAnyone

(Team Chelsie)
(Team Taylor)
(Team Jimmy)
Why the need to live in the past.

Baddogchalet

So who deserved AFP over Keanu. The rest of the house sucked. He was at least trying to play the game for himself. It was hard for him since they all were so awful to him to his face and behind his back. He was just up front with everyone. He wasn’t a liar like Vorgan.

Team Chelsie (aka Team Taylor)

Obviously Rachel!

The Beef

Keanu got 65% of the vote but you’re right and everybody else is delusional? I’m not surprised you think like this when you think Ashley’s win deserves a “well done” when she’s probably the worst winner in Big Brother US history, and without a doubt in the worst 3 ever, right in there with your hero Taylor and Josh from BB19, but good for her I guess.

NoMoBro

Keanu got my vote.

Gan ainm

Then I’ll blame you.

Kelly

Me Too, every day!

Morgan Plays on Easy Mode

65% of the vote! And he earned every one!

Robert

In terms of AFP, Keanu is complex and frustrating at the same time

Rubber Ducky For The Win

He was the only option for AFP.

JustMyOpinion

Positively absolutely.

Team Chelsie (aka Team Taylor)

America got it wrong — Rachel deserved AFP.

d...

nah, rachel sucks. she didn’t even win afp her first season.

Rubber Ducky For The Win

Not even close. She was irrelevant this summer.

d...

i dunno if i’d call her irrelevant. she did kinda drag down the game of a bunch of houseguests. jimmy, amy, and mickey can all attribute their poor showings to taking horrible advice from rachel. it’s impressive how much better ashley started to do once rachel was gone.

Tre Billis

She is not even a nice person. And she has a big head. Hardly likable in my world but this country has become bizarro world why not big brother.

The Beef

A HUGE head! You ever heard anybody that is a true legend or icon in their field go around referring to themselves in that manner? I can think of two, and both of them were/are egotistical maniacs, one of which probably was the best ever in his category (boxing – think “I am the greatest”), and the other is debatable (basketball – he thinks he’s better than Jordan).

Both are much much bigger deals in the world than Rachel “queen” “the legend” “the douche” Reilly.

Musical Chairs would be more interesting

Do you even understand the meaning of “favorite”???
By definition alone, Rachel is disqualified from being afp.

JustMyOpinion

If Rachel deserved it she would have gotten it. Obviously.

The Beef

She’s a clown with her “I’m not going to let this jury vote bitter” crap. That’s exactly what the jury did, including her, and lying and citing “social game” where none existed, is just BS and a total smoke screen.

juliesfashionfails

In retrospect that comment about not letting the jury vote bitter was so pointed, as if she was trying to mist the audience to later perceive her vote for ‘not Vinny’ as game based. She even fooled me, and I have really disliked her all season. I texted my daughter after that comment that I finally like Rachel a little.

Damn the game taints just keep piling up, so much grandstanding for perception.

The Beef

Was neither frustrating nor complex for me. I gave him 10 votes every day I was able.

Now that I see he voted for Ashley though, I wish I could take them back. 😉

Kindofafan

I think the jurors were looking for ANY reason not to vote for Vinny.

TennisAnyone

Quite possible.

The Beef

Six of them weren’t voting for him, no way no how.

DDD

Ashley…..???

UnknownBoy

What a disgusting ending. That was the biggest butthurt bitter jury in BB History.

SummerBreeze

And millions of bitter BB viewers having to watch Grod’s butthurt season.

Kayla

Congratulations to the LEAST deserving winner in BB history. Wow.

Dale

Right up there, but the most undeserving by far was Taylor. Monty was the clear winner. Nobody can honestly defend her win as they clearly voted for her based on identity.

The Beef

Taylor at least won 2 HOH’s during her season and had to put people OTB for eviction. She definitely sucked as a winner, but I think Ashley is worse. Just my opinion.

Robert

I disagree. This is where social game and owning your moves comes into play. If Vince had owned what he did he would have had more votes

juliesfashionfails

He did own his moves. He didn’t lay it out fully as he had not practiced much after losing hope of getting to F2. He did make some points about it in his speech.

He told them he’d made a lot of F2s to position himself, joined the Judges but also tried to stay close with the other side. That is fully admitting he played all sides.

He looked like he was being slimy when he said he was truly passionate and genuinely cried a lot. I think he was sincere about that, being he was so miserable so often, although yeah, he did work it up at times.

They wanted to hear him say that is was all an act, but it actually wasn’t. He’s not Dr Will lying about having cancer and laughing about it later. They gave him WAY too much credit on deviousness.

They had built up a narrative in jury and were all set to torch him. He didn’t stand a chance no matter what he said bc for the jury, the only owning up was basically making himself sound like a Dan.

He’s not that good. He’s just a mess of a person, but he’s not cold and calculating. How can you own something you’re not?

Tyler & Jeff are my faves

He never shed a single real tear all season. Whenever someone would start to look at his eyes during his many fake tear sessions, he simply pulled his beanie over his eyes to shield his fake tears.

juliesfashionfails

He did admit in DR that he was working the tears at times. But I think he also said he’s an emotional person. Hard to say bc he lies to us too for his image.

My assessment of Vinny is that he is very inclined to catastrophic negative thinking and self blame. To me there was a lot of evidence of that being authentic in how he beats himself up when not in view of most HGs, the way he looks defeated, the specific self shaming. I’m very keen on reading body language as developed in my youth to feel out vibes on others’ moods and such. I could be wrong here on maybe being overly empath towards him that is skewing my view. I do keep coming back to sum total he has an internalized self perception that he is an emotional mess. He is good at regrouping. It so fits that type of cycle of misery with some resilience that is overall self destructive and unhealthy.

From that I think he misted himself that the crying was generally authentic. More so bc at jury phase Morgan’s takedown of his psyche did result in raw agony for him. That is embedded in his inner game experience far over the earlier exaggerated crying.

That’s why his final speech to me felt so on point of telling them yeah I played you all and you kept wanting to work for me. A lot of the way he got bitter players back on his side was very good social game of coming off as such a sincere dude you just want to trust him. But jury didn’t want to feel that well played so they put it all on the crying. True social manipulation and not just likable adorable Ashley.

It’s hard at questions stage to connect that crying piece as really personal to the jury when he genuinely is a very self defeating person who often FEELS very intensely AND he did use other means to get the outcast side to keep giving him chances.

He’s pivoted in interviews now to say the game magnified his reactions and he’s not like that IRL. So what is the real truth?

I think at core he’s too concerned about external validation as he knows he’s perceived as unemployed loser at home with his parents. That deep insecurity is a tie in to the behaviors I observed of what is genuine vs internal overcompensating that does manifest in lies that are partly to his own self.

Sum total he played quite badly in many ways but also quite masterfully and at least he played. That carried to jury questions he could not possibly realize on what owning specifically meant to jury as it genuinely didn’t align with his own self perception of his game and feelings.

UnknownBoy

He did own what he did in his final speech

juliesfashionfails

Not a minority in this group. Idk if we’ve ever had a coaster winner. She basically said her game was based on lining up her shields, and the jury ate it up as strategy.

They were absolutely bitter.

I feel Ava poisoned the jury. There were seeds already there and she developed them. She admitted in DR that it hurt to be lied to about Vinny’s vote to evict her. Then said it was unnecessary.

Well, that is part of the game, and she’s not the first to experience it.

I can understand if you lost control of your social game to the point that jury got that bitter, it’s on you and maybe you deserve to lose. I reference Dan for that, swearing on his dead grandpa or whatever. But if the other option has not played the game, you have to give it to the person who actually played all game and fought for his life many a time.

It’s like giving the win to Gina Marie over Andy. Have some self-respect.

Keanu big baby, he told Ashley just the other week that she’d done nothing. He blew up his own game by putting Vinny OTB, but he’s sour now.

Gan ainm

Decisions like this are why we get seasons filled with weak players who want to do nothing but coast through the game so they don’t upset anyone.

Ray

Hey, if you feel so bad for him I hear he has an opening in the basement living arrangements….he enjoys laying around all day, crying whenever he needs to manipulate and long sensuous back rubs….hit him up

juliesfashionfails

This isn’t FB. We have conversations here. Let the adults talk.

Uncle Sam

Simon thank you for all that you do every summer. Without you, we wouldn’t be able to follow the show as closely as we do. But I cannot believe that Ashley of all people this season won considering she did next to nothing the whole season but be a parachute and she was literally the coaster that fell ass backwards into this like a Taylor did. I don’t think there’s any way that we can deny it that she might be one of the worst winners ever. To Come out of the show next to Taylor. I don’t think it’s really that close.

Gan ainm

Coasting is the new winning.

Uncle Sam

It has now lowered the standard of bb to an all time low. If it hadn’t already been that for what Taylor set a few years ago. For anyone to celebrate an Ashley win defies all or any logic for what sets a winner. Couldn’t stand Vince but over Ashley it is insulting he lost. Ashley is maybe the worst winner next to Taylor.

Baddogchalet

That’s newbie BB for you. I can see why Rachel was so frustrated with all of them!

TennisAnyone

She talked a good game tonight, and you could see the jurors were often nodding their heads. She talked so damn fast as if it was a speed contest. Lawyers are suppose to be measured in their dialogue, not talking at 90 miles an hour.

When the wind blows

She is a lawyer on paper. She has a license to practice law. She is was an associate at a law practice and quit her job to play Big Brother. On LinkedIn, she was an associate for a law firm. Again, she quit her job to play BB and then after doing a lot of nothing, won BB. Most of her resume is in the entertainment industry. Go figure.

mooning

Ashley won the second part because Vince didn’t read the instructions correctly or so he says.. Morgan said she knew the answers for the third part but second guessed herself..All very odd to me.

un autre nom

The jury wanted a reason not to vote for Vince. I don’t mind a bitter jury because a bitter jury is the fault of the person that screwed his social game relationships… but that jury needs to OWN that it was a bitter jury. They never will with Rachel who outright said she wanted Vince to lose (be final juror) also saying she refuses to be attached to a bitter jury.
Do whatever mental gymnastics they want… but if they are cheering for someone to fail they are a bitter jury. And that’s okay if they own it.

Vicki L.

I completely agree with you Simon. Morgan definitely deserved the win. But between Vince and Ashley – no contest – Vince for sure! Truly sad that Morgan did not win any money. She deserved to win. I hope they will bring her back to compete again. To me, Ashley is the least deserving ever to win B.B. And shame on a bitter jury who could not award Vince for being responsible for voting every single one of them out. That, alone, would have made me vote for Vince. I voted for Keanu for AFP but am disappointed that he, Lauren and Kelly didn’t recognize that Vince was obviously the superior player next to Ashley – who, literally, did nothing until the very end.

The Beef

You’re 100% correct. In order to have a social game you must play a social game and use it to do something strategically. Ashley didn’t do anything, strategically or otherwise. All she did was eat, breath and exist in that house. She didn’t influence one nomination or one vote all season long. Somebody on here said she saved herself by getting Will out, but the 4 of the 5 votes on that week were already clearly locked (2 for Ashley, 2 for Will) leaving Keanu to decide who went, and voted Will out based on the fact Will was the most loved person in the house, not on anything Ashley did or said.

People are really reaching trying to make things up she did, because she didn’t do anything. I don’t like any of them, but it’s like a 3 car stock car race, it’s a 10 lap race and 2 of the cars wreck on lap 10 and the 3rd car is 5 laps behind. That driver only has to keep chugging along to win the race because the other 2 wrecked. Yes, you won the race but did you deserve it by running 5 laps behind the other 2, who were fiercely battling each other for the win going into the last lap, only to take each other out?

I don’t think so.

Uncle Sam

Well said and great analogy! That is literally what happened. Ashely Fell backwards into and got votes because they wanted Vince to lose rather than voting her to win.

wolfwoman

Woo hoo! Vinnie lost and Keanu won!

Uncle Sam

Keanu AFP saved this disarerous and dubious result of an undeserving Ashley to win this season. Thankful he won AFP when Ashley and her standom are beyond delusional that the reality is that they set the bar as low as you can get if not lower than what Taylor set. This season with Ashley being winner just lowered the standard about as low as you can get next to Taylor. There is no doubt Aslhley is as low as Taylor for the winners. These clout chasing content creators are full of it if they rate her lower than the bottom of the very bottom as they try to to quantify Taylor as being a top 14 winner. I say that to those fools peridiam And Ethanimale who are straight full of it with their short sided stupidity that they spew for being sponsorship wannabe sellouts.

Ray

Simon really do appreciate all you do every season. Most of us on here look at those in the house as characters in our favorite soap opera so we feel as though we can criticize, judge even hate on them a little. This of course is all in good fun and what a ride it’s been. Can’t wait to pick out my favorites in 28 and start diving to others into pieces…lol…Thanks Again

Vicki L.

Me too Simon! I gave him all of my votes! But, to be honest with you. If I had known that Morgan was going to walk away with nothing – I would have voted for her. Such a disappointing ending with Ashley winning.

Nix Pix

How do you watch their interviews after the finale?

Kelly

I want to know this also.

juliesfashionfails

I just google, Vinny or whoever, big brother 27 interview. Sharon Tharp is one of the interviewers, you can add her name on google for that one.

Jordan

SEASON SAVED

Team Chelsie (aka Team Taylor)

I wouldn’t call it saved, but it salvaged some goodwill.

BB27 is one of the Top 3 Worst Seasons due to “White Locust”, Rylie, Zach keeping his $10K, Lauren, Kelley, Keanu, and Vince + his cringy “friendship” with Morgan.

The goodwill is Ashley winning, Rylie’s eviction, Adrian’s eviction, Zae’s eviction, and Will and Rachel.

Gan ainm

Thoughts while watching that segment, ungh not Jessie again, GOOD GOD NOT FRANKIE go away, Eric? who? remind me, oh him, ok.

I LOVED seeing Eric.

I appreciate the call back to lifelong fans

Morgan Plays on Easy Mode

100%

And before we all shut down, thanks so much for all you and Dawg do for us, year after year without fail.

My name changes every year. Your dedication never does!

Vicki L.

Yes – thank you Simon and Dawg for your endless patience and dedication to all of us B.B. fans! You both are the BEST!!

Greyson

Except that all of the exaggerated over-acting is intolerable!

BB Princess

Honestly don’t know what the h@ll I just watched for the past 83 days. I will have BBSD after this.

Rubber Ducky For The Win

Dare I say Vince got robbed?? Don’t get me wrong, I was looking forward to seeing him lose to Morgan, who deserved the win. But to lose to Ashley??? Yeah, that’s messed up. Ashley coasted and floated her way to the finals and then got lucky when she could re-read directions better than Vince, and then beat Morgan for the final HOH when Morgan choked. Vince played the game all summer. It was an ugly, messy and frustratingly embarrassing game that he played, but it was better than anything Ashley did. Ashley basically said she was the real life version of Legally Blonde and a bitter jury said “OK!” Only redeeming part of the season was the fans picking Keanu as AFP. He comes out the real winner of the season.

juliesfashionfails

They were bitter, they loved Ashley and were looking to latch onto any reason to assign win equity to her and burn Vinny. They don’t realize it, but they are the most buffoon jury to ever have sat on BB stage. They make Riley and Kat look rationale.

You could see how they built up mob mentality in the jury house. Let’s make him prove he’s not a scourge on society or he burns at midnight. Let’s hope we can burn him, let’s make sure we don’t sway. Won’t matter, as long as Ashley blinks at us and smiles and makes a full sentence. She’s such brilliance, give her the money.

Vicki L.

Couldn’t have said that better! I really wanted Morgan to win, Vince in second and Keanu as AFP. I gave all my votes to Keanu and am so glad he won AFP. Just wish that Morgan could have won some money.

SkydiverMacGyver

Just left a donation! Thanks Simon and Dawg! Been reading and posting for years here. And it’s the best BB live feed forum. Period.

WooZZang

I believe the winner had a reason to win. Ashley’s social game was better than Vinny’s. This isn’t a game to pick a “challenge beast” anyway. Thanks to the new path to victory, the game is going to be even more unpredictable and fun.

And to those whining and spinning conspiracy theories just because their favorite got eliminated, saying they won’t watch anymore—goodbye to you pests! You’ll just crawl back again next year anyway~

juliesfashionfails

That’s fine except that Ashley was low mediocre at best in terms of any moves she made, did not actively game and mostly relied on shields. It’s just not a worthy game.

I can say that if a jury feels that burnt, then the loser deserves to lose. But only if the alternative actually did something.

d...

it’s more a cautionary tale about playing too hard. vince and morgan played super hard all season to the point of convincing themselves winning competitions they didn’t need to win and nominating/evicting allies was good play. ashley showed it wasn’t.

vince throws the wall comp to kat or noms ashley instead of lauren or a bunch of other situations he played too hard, he probably easily wins. morgan likewise put such a huge target on her back that ashley would’ve been an idiot to take her to final 2. both severely overplayed.

ashley on the otherhand arguably underplayed but she did finish with the $750k.

WooZZang

You are the light and hope of this site. After seeing nothing but illogical opinions from losers, I almost forget that people like you also watch Big Brother. Let’s keep watching together for a long time.

Tyler & Jeff are my faves

Yours and d…’s opinions are refreshing among the pile of Ashley/Taylor bashers.

d...

taylor sucks and remains one of the worst winners.

ashley just had really solid jury management. another aspect of her game not talked about is her relationship with early jurors campaigning for her. rachel and will definitely swayed lauren, keanu, and kelley from being on the fence about who to vote for to voting ashley. but it’s again how you take players out. you want players to feel like you got them before they got you, or at least that you had no part in their eviction. that’s not how kelley, lauren, or keanu exited in regards to vince. they exited feeling betrayed. meanwhile rachel gets evicted via a comp loss that she can maybe blame morgan for but certainly not ashley and ashley was sitting on the block next to will when will was evicted.

if vince or morgan wanted to take the shots they took at lauren, keanu, and kelley. they needed to sew the seeds of if i don’t do this you come after me. but instead they put up a facade of trying to work with them up until the end and when they said no, that resulted in no vote.

Tyler & Jeff are my faves

I appreciate your insight. Very astute. You made me aware of some things I hadn’t even considered.

As far as Taylor is concerned, I respectfully disagree.

BB has been so much fun lately!

If the same type of winner kept winning over and over, the show’s lifespan would have been shortened, and it would have started to feel more like a variety show such as The Challenge, rather than a social strategy game. Honestly, the only place I’ve seen people bash Taylor or Ashley is on this site. On Instagram, where people actually post under their real names, they’ve received plenty of praise, and Taylor in particular has been doing very well since the win. Among the different types of Big Brother winners, there’s also the ‘endurance/patience’ type. Sure, a winner might not always be everyone’s favorite, but in that specific season, they played in a way that inevitably led them to win.

d...

i know taylor’s had what four boyfriends since winning big brother? it’s almost like she’s so fake no one will put up with her. oh, wait, why’d i say almost like.

BurgerBoyz

How has Vince never made $75k in his life? I almost feel bad… something’s off with him.

Gan ainm

He’s gonna need to spend all of that on therapy.

TennisAnyone

Because he doesn’t like having paying jobs. He’s happy being constantly unemployed. Of course he’s never made $75,000. in his life, probably not even $10,000. total dollars. Pathetic.

Ashley is my hero I am so excited that Morgan was evicted and Ashley won.
So glad that Keanu won AFP.

Tyler & Jeff are my faves

I agree with you. Ashley and Keanu saved the finale.

Yeah it’s torture…and we watch 3 freekin’ shows a week !!

When the wind blows

If future BB’s are played with the feels instead of logic and acceptance that it’s about winning, I am out. I knew the jury would vote on feelings alone.

Morgan Plays on Easy Mode

Hey at least you admit you’re still along for the ride, even when it’s a frustrating outcome.

I get so tired of rolling my eyes at people every season being like, “I’m NeVeR wAtChInG aGaIn.”

Uh-huh. OK bye…this is not an airport…

Well I’ve never said I’m never watching again until this season. Probably because I never watched the live feeds until this season. And yes, I will definitely not be watching again! Good deal Karen

Tyler & Jeff are my faves

As usual, I agree with you, again.

mynameismyname

Bitter Jury? Bitter Audiance. Ashley deserved to win. Morgan won comps but she also was so glued to vince that it ruined her game and her wins.

By the jury hating Vince they also hated Morgan. Both Vince and Morgan lied to those they aligned with and were the reason they were evicted.

Why should the evicted jury members vote for the duo. Has Ashley lost, Morgan was going to bring Vince with her, she knew the jury hated him, and she hid behind him, when she was very much part of the reason hgs were evicted.

There was no otheor move for Ashley but evict Morgan. That was a stratgic move for the win.

Keenu also deserved to win, he kept himself into the house by winning the competitions he did to keep himself safe.

It was a good season.

Tyler & Jeff are my faves

Totally agree with you.

DDD

Vince is a Loser. And his late night whining to Morgan totally cost her the game. He should have left her alone so she could prepare!

juliesfashionfails

Eh, she destroyed his game too. Just desserts.

Tre Billis

This is why Big Brother sucks. Every season is a disappointment. Ashley played the whole game hiding behind other bigger targets. She did not win a thing until the final night. She didn’t win a veto, she did not win an HOH, she did not win the block buster…NOTHING! Didn’t even play a good social game. She went off on Keanu like no great social player would do. Shower gate is an example of not playing a good social game. Will could not hide his excitement to vote for Ashley that he only congratulated Ashley and not Vince for making the final two. He even said who he was voting for This just puts the cap on a terrible season. The only thing I give Ashley is she answered questions from the jury well. Vince should have said he put every one on the block and Ashley put no one on it because she NEVER WON ANYTHING. Not one challenge! You ask why do I watch. I watch because my daughter loves the show for some reason. Survivor and Amazing Race are thousands of times better than this lousy show!

Rachel for AFP

Were you living under a rock? She won the veto week 1
That’s more than Vince will ever win

Tre Billis

Sorry I missed her one crumb. She was INVISIBLE until the end. It was Ashley who hid under a rock the entire season.

juliesfashionfails

I totally see the Keanu confrontation as completely antithetical to the social game narrative she laid out.

She’s lucky elimination of Rachel, blew that incident out of their heads. It would have been a social taint. Lauren looked so traumatized just listening to Ashley go off, and I think Will was thinking oh girl no need for drama.

She could have easily become the default renom or pawn after that, even with Rachel’s protection.

Rachel for AFP

the season is saved
good job Ashley congrats to Keanu on AFP too

until next season

Tyler & Jeff are my faves

I agree with you.

Ashley won only when she had to.

She had to win the week one veto to stay in the game. And she did.

She had to beat Weasel in part 2 to have a chance at part 3. And she did.

She had to reread the instructions to get it right. And she did. Weasel never did.

And she had to win part 3 to evict Snake. And she did.

She chose to evict the opponent she couldn’t beat. Cody should have—in season 16—if he had, he’d have spared us all Derrick’s arrogant ugly mug on BB Unlocked!—and, Cody might’ve become the only 2 time winner in season 22.

By evicting the unbeatable opponent, she gave the Jury an easy choice:

Vote for the Weasel who stabbed each of you in the back OR vote for the likeable person who didn’t.

No brainer!

Ashley and Keanu saved the finale and thereby the season!

Congrats to you both!

juliesfashionfails

Bitter jury, bitter super fan.

Ashley deserved to win LESS than Vinny deserved to lose.

I don’t care about Vinny.

I care about the game. It’s so tainted.

Dale

It was interesting having the lawyer so eloquently describe her floater game and the bitter jury ate it up. It’s easy to have a great social game when you can’t win comps. On the flip side comp winners need to be better about just saying “sorry your not on my side so you’re getting nominated and own it”

ted

was she reading that speech off of index cards?

Carlito's Way

Agree. Lord, she was shouting. Girl, don’t flatter yourself. You are no Elle Wood, way more Tracy Flick. Good thing you are not keeping the day job. But kudos, you get the last laugh.

When the wind blows

The statement that Ashley quit her job before entering the house spoke volumes.

The Beef

All that money and all that time down the drain for what? Big Brother meet and greets? She’s going to make a living on The Challenge now? I’m sure The Bold and the Beatiful (or whatever it’s called) is probably next, followed by The Amazing Race!

Maybe she can get a partner to carry her on TAR too. She definitely needs somebody if she’s going to advance, because it’s a fact she can’t win on her own.

Tyler & Jeff are my faves

She just did!

juliesfashionfails

She’s not eloquent but she is baseline articulate. It comes as practiced student who knows how to verbally present her project and has learned how to speak as part of her schooling and ambitions.

She does not have a naturally gifted way with words.

juliesfashionfails

True, she knows how to fake it to make it. Totally vapid no substance.

It really irks me that this win and everyone rewarding her for mediocrity just reinforces how she thinks she’s the bomb.

Greyson

Quasi-legalese?

The Beef

Sounded to me like she memorized a bunch of it. She kept repeating some sentences a couple of times, and she had this weird zoned in look on her face.

I had to memorize a speech when I was in honor society in 8th grade (I was president – LOL). I can still remember the first couple of sentences of that bitch today, and brother that was a looooooooooooong time ago!

Tyler & Jeff are my faves

Talk about backhanded compliment or damning with faint praise: “baseline articulate.”

Instead of recognizing her remarkable educational accomplishments, you attack her speaking ability.

Not all of us are as lucky as you are to be so amazing in every way.

Personally, even though I also graduated from law school & spent 30 years prosecuting murderers, robbers & rapists(oldest victim was 98, youngest was 2), I applaud Ashley’s phenomenal achievements.

I was accepted to Harvard at 16, but my mom refused to let me go(Harvard required parental consent under 18)due to what happened to her when she went to college at age 16, in 1947.

So, I started at the Ohio State University(at age 18) & finished law school at Memphis State University(because my parents asked me to transfer when my dad was transferred from the Pentagon to Memphis).

I envy Ashley’s achievements. Would that they were mine. But, they’re not.

I’m just a smart kid with a public school education. I did the best I could.

I got a good job with the District Attorney General’s office. And I did a very good job for 30 years. But, I never had what Ashley has: a law degree from a top ten law school.

Trust me, THAT, my friends, is PRICELESS. You have no idea HOW priceless unless you’ve been there & done that, as I have.

It is literally a one in a million chance to both get into & then to graduate from a top ten law school such as Georgetown.

Every single one of you should be applauding her amazing achievements.

Yet all the overwhelming majority of you choose to do is put her down.

You people are very sad.

juliesfashionfails

You’re taking these conversations here personally and then you go into personal attacks. ‘You people are very sad’. You decide I must have a big ego in comparison to your own humble origins.

I’ll give you a briefing of my own background.

My parents came off the boat from Europe to Ellis Island, my mom pregnant with my older sister. They came from an island with merchant shipping that had jobs for everyone, albeit many were poor and starved during the German occupation. Much trauma. My dad was a ship steward as he was very organized, detailed and smart, despite a 6th grade education as he was pulled out to work and sleep at times in a baking furnace so his older brother could finish school to become a ship Captain.

They came to US to leave the trauma behind of a devastated country and do better for their daughters. My dad washed dishes and eventually he was a cook at a catering hall, as well as diner job where he’d take early shifts. Up at 430, counter work at 6, catering hall/restaurant in the afternoon. Home at 8:30 except weekends when there were parties, he’d be home around midnight or later.

I went to public schools with all the other middle class kids. I have raised 3 incredibly intelligent kids who were not A students, they had struggles for various reasons. I am not just bragging on my kids. Other people have said it.
Ashley is not smarter than they are by any means, she just had all the cards lined up right.

I’m sorry you are in awe of achievement creds of someone like Ashley. You can be in that top tier and not be any more ‘special’ than many others.

I was a very advanced student but I not on top SAT tier back when there was no prep, compared to my friend in grad school who grew up in Syracuse, daughter of a cancer research and every kid in her town had similar high achieving families of means and intellect. Her SAT of 1350 was considered barely good enough. She had many friends who scored 1500-1600. I got a 1200 on my SATs and 6th in my public HS class, which was considered impressive amongst the city ‘smart nerds’. My friends who ranked 1-5 scored in the 1300-1400 range. Top 3 were phenomenal students. My Syracuse friend was no more accomplished or smarter than the rest of us in grad school. She had a huge leg up from birth. Many of the rest of us scraped our ways up.

You are fawning over stuff that you seem to feel inferior about, as if Ashley outdid your own path.

She is not a naturally gifted speaker. There are many law grads and those in other careers who are much better than she is.

My niece is a rhetoric professor at a community college. She taught herself to read at age 2, she was years ahead on verbal ability even in the gifted programs. She was a top seed debater and now she’s a coach that travels with students to events. I don’t believe she’d be impressed at all with Ashley’s speaking. It’s just good enough for someone of her tier.

For myself I was more of a math/science geek until I got very close with an online parents groups with kids who had developmental delays. They were mostly editor writer types, brilliant. I developed a love of language and learning to organize my writing better. Funny that I recently found I had earned the English award at my grade school graduation, but long forgot about it as in my youth, English was just the easy fluff class to me. Of course I was wrong, lit and language are very rich.

I was very shy as a kid and it never fully left me as some was trauma based. So I was never comfortable with oral speak and was quite surprised when I started getting messaging that I was coming off as very articulate in an intellectually intimidating way. Sorry if that sounds like I love myself, it was a hard time actually. It was in context of a lot of battles with the educational system to not railroad my kids. I have real world on the ground development on top of a good education public school foundation, not curated from privilege or having that perfect social personality. I was actually very awkward and my own spirited personality was often hiding. By grad school I did have a lot of friends in that setting but I always struggled as I had a lot of trauma and did not know myself yet.

My kids are very verbally gifted. Words and vocabulary flow out the mouth of my son and it stuns me at times, as he’s the one who had the educational difficulties and needed a lot of supports. One of my daughters is an English Lit grad, speaking is not as fluent for her but her knowledge of literature, philosophy, history and art are very nuanced.

So hey, I am not impressed with Ashley’s speaking. I am not in awe of educational creds. That’s what priceless to you? That is sad.

Priceless for me is the silver lining of my cancer battle while my younger 2 were still in HS, leaving me in such a mental funk due to trauma that surfaced after my diagnosis, that forced me to get proper therapy that helped me develop myself where I could have some peace in later life and the best relationships with my own children.

It’s way more complex than you make it. You want to think I’m a snob, so be it. Just don’t assume I had it any easier than you as if I rode on a magic carpet to my current writing strengths and the road I traveled to get there. I’m 61 and paid plenty of dues. I have my own discerning criteria based on life and education.

The trauma is that my mom has NPD and probably BPD, maternal side is full of personality disorders and my mom turned me into the scapegoat that ran my sister against me where she rallied with her husband against me and at some point, my nieces who I loved with all my heart as if they were my own. I don’t speak to any of them anymore and I am much more careful about who I run to help, making sure the recipients have earned it.

As for my college story, I live in NYC. I planned to just apply to the CUNY system, very good city colleges very low tuition esp back then. I knew my parents would never allow me to go away, and i figured why spend money for higher tuition as I had internalized financial discipline. Well my folks go on me as if I was so irresponsible, you have to apply and get a scholarship at a private city school bc we can’t afford to pay the CUNY tuition as we are funding your sister’s tuition (specialized career program). They had money saved though, and I knew they were manipulating me but I applied to a very mid college and got full tuition scholarship. The CUNY was a much more well regarded institution. But I still got a great undergrad education in their honors program.

juliesfashionfails

I will add as apparently I’ve been triggered. Also bc I have been in this group for years under different names, but I didn’t fully appreciate it. I’m really enjoying the group this season. I’m invested, I go in fully as that is my way.

Not everyone has Ashley’s pretty privilege. In combo with her bubbly socially adept personality that is an automatic part of the popular cool and often mean group that acts superior. See, Rachel and co.

There are pretty people who don’t use it that way.

It’s more privilege that she knew how to use to get everything she wants. ”

I do not resent her, I just don’t value her ways.

I am not saying this bc i’m unattractive. I did go through a very awkward looking stage in middle school where being borderline anorexic added to that look, lol.

My mom was a very beautiful woman in that old world way, not glam, just natural. A bit of lipstick at most. My sister was the pretty one who looked like her. I had a cousin on mom’s side who looked like her dad, huge green eyes and an ethic face. She and her brother also seen as the family beauts. As teens i’d walk down the street with her and feel like mud, all the boys mesmerized.

I was actually very attractive by early HS but never fully internalized it. I’ve had some highly attractive friends and always enjoyed shopping, getting dolled up and socializing with them in our prime. One of my grad school besties had a model’s look but came from the same humble roots as mine. We did not hang out with the clique girls and they were mostly not in the larger mixing bc they liked to self isolate. We were both cuter than them, anyway, lol. They came from princesses competing for status backgrounds, in steady pre-engagement relationships and kinda boring. The rest of us, male and female, had loads of goofy fun.

People have said that my son could model. He’s not interested. He’s a down to earth kid and just trying to deal with a system that purely values natural ladder climbers. He graduated college, did field work for grad school resume and changed his plans. He was not the kid who could get all that under his belt before graduating, it’s all in steps to not get flooded and drown. Now doing preqs for a specific career path that he switched to, and coming into his own, very perfectionist beats himself up but comes back with a 106 lab exam grade while the class average is 70. The perfectionism is OCD based which I and my dad also had, although dad was very well adapted to life as he wasn’t raised by a narcissist. Perfectionism of that sort for me and my son is internally directed, not towards others. Self-blame. My dad didn’t do that to himself, he just did things precisely but also had very simple needs and acceptance of life. Didn’t worry what anyone else thought, gracious to others, very live and let live. Although he might think you’re a bit of a fool, lol.

Thank you so much for your kindness and your thoughtfulness.

I must confess, you have me pegged. Your twin posts brought tears to my eyes. Real ones, not Vince fakes.

Please allow me to sincerely apologize for having offended you. That was obviously not my intent but just as obviously the result of my post. Please forgive me if you can. I did not in any way mean to hurt you.

The overwhelming hyperbolic negativity toward Ashley(and also Taylor)triggered me. Hence my response.

I am sorry that my post caused you to feel that I was calling you a snob or one with a huge ego. I was not. Not at all.

I was merely pointing out that you, in a much milder way, and the overwhelming majority on this site, in a much more blatant and severe way, were all only making negative comments about Ashley(except for d…,Chelsea,Rachel for AFP,Terry,WooZZang, mynameismyname & me).

When you called her “baseline” articulate & “vapid with no substance”, I felt compelled to respond.

First, it should be said that well over half of all US attorneys (the rich ones)never set foot in a courtroom. They have no need of eloquence. They spend their lives examining documents in precise & legal ways, to make certain that each document does exactly what it purports to do. It is a tedious but lucrative and honorable profession.

Those of us who do spend our lives in various courtrooms with assorted tribunals do need to be able to effectively communicate verbally. But, even for those of us who the British call barristers(courtroom lawyers)as opposed to solicitors(office lawyers), eloquence is not required. Just speaking plain English(American style)plainly. The need for William Jennings Bryan oratory is very rare.
I should mention that I did win the Extemporaneous Speech competition at my high school (David Glasgow Farragut H.S) in Rota, Spain. I followed that up with another victory in the same category at the Spain-Morocco competition in Madrid. Finally, I received a free trip for a week to Wiesbaden, Deutschland for the all-Europe competition, which I also won. So, I was quite capable & handled myself quite well in a courtroom, if I do say so myself. I felt more comfortable and at home there than anywhere else for my entire 30 year career.

My family’s journey is similar to yours, one generation removed. My parents were each the first to be born here. Their parents also landed at Ellis Island. My mom’s family came from Ravenna, Italy(ironically, I was born & raised in Ravenna, Ohio). My dad’s from County Cork, Ireland. Both my parents were born just b4 the crash & grew up during the Depression. They were each the first in their family to graduate high school here & to attend & graduate college.

Dad lied about his age to join the fight & served on a tin can (destroyer) in the Pacific. He was part of the expeditionary force that would have invaded Japan if President Truman hadn’t decided to drop the big one, twice. That decision allowed me to be born.

After college, Dad was an Ohio State Highway Patrol officer for 20 years, then retired when I was 11 & my sister was 9. He then joined NCIS b4 it was called that and spent 20 more years globe-hopping with them. He made Time magazine when he apprehended a murderer at the North Pole. He did not when he apprehended the biggest Soviet spy in Africa.

Mom was a brilliant linguist. She spoke 11 languages fluently and was certified to teach 7 of them. She turned down a job offer from the newly formed United Nations (to be their 1st US woman interpreter) to marry my dad. After she torpedoed my Harvard acceptance(due to sexual abuse trauma she suffered upon entering college when she was 16), she finished the job when she replaced my English teacher(when she went on maternity leave) by giving me the only B I ever got in high school, even though I had a 100 average for the year. She justified it by saying that she didn’t want the other kids to think I was a recipient of nepotism! That killed any chance of Harvard for me, hence the public schools. They were all I could afford to put myself through. My parents were saving their meager cop & teacher’s salaries to pay for my sister’s college, not mine.

Anyway, I took it upon myself to defend Ashley’s educational achievement because I would have killed(not literally)for a Georgetown Law degree.

I’m sure I probably went overboard. I often do. I’m obviously very thin skinned & wear my heart on my sleeve.

Looking back, my reply was clearly sent to the wrong person. It should never have been sent to you. It should have instead been sent to one of the many over-the-top Ashley bashers.

My only rationale for singling you out, rather than one of the far more egregious offenders, was that your use of “vapid without substance” & “baseline articulate” simply caught my eye.

Sorry to have wasted so much of your time.

I look forward very much to chatting with you again next season, God willing. I am much older than you are. Our older son is 50. The younger is 42. Our daughter is 45. My wife of 38 years is 71. I’m 73.

Have a good rest of your year & 1st half of next year in NYC.

juliesfashionfails

I appreciate your gracious reply and sharing of your story. No worries, it’s never a waste of time for me to speak on experiences and topics that I feel passionate about.

My response was a defensive one in that I felt I was once again misunderstood and labeled. A trauma thing. But it’s okay, it wasn’t a deep thing. These days I try to walk away from over-explaining, but as I said, I felt some good connections here this season and it was of value for me to ‘stand up’ for myself.

I’ve always had an independent mind and feisty fight in me, even when on the surface in my youth I might have seemed passively shy. That’s why I felt so protective towards Lauren, who I see as having some drive and a lot of intellect, but needing to find her way out of her barriers. I think she received a lot of messaging in her youth about the value of being a good girl, in combo with a sensitive nature.

I actually did think you must have read some of my comments and thought boy this person really thinks they know it all. I tend to overgeneralize when anyone exhibits negatively towards me, or even a friend who is seeming a bit distant, say.

I didn’t have expectation for Ashley as an atty to be verbally talented. With all the business in NYC I know it’s often a paperwork job. I was responding to the comment that she was eloquent, just my opinion on that.

Maybe those words I used were a bit hard hitting, impactful. I get it. I grew up with a very hypercritical mom. I do have a very cutting instinct in me from my early experiences and I tend to take no prisoners once my triggers are hit. I can undress a person down to their bare skin in a very short order. It’s why any time I had to face off with educational admins for my kids, they were more offended at my ‘polite’ intellectualized take downs than they would be if it were just a parent telling them to go F-off. I learned where to find the jugular as I saw my mom do it so fluidly all of my life. But also, online talk is very critical and it’s easy to fall into that..

BTW my own family comes from Greece. Fellow Meditteranean, we be very passionate people.

Have a good year as well, see you next year. You’re not that old to go anywhere yet!

The Beef

Eloquent? She sounded like a damn robot, and everything she said made absolutely no sense. I can sit there and say I invented a time machine that can teleport me back and forth through time, but if I really didn’t do it, nor can I offer proof or support that I did it, it should mean nothing.

I can’t move through time, and Ashley didn’t play the game. She didn’t make a single move nor did she influence anybody else’s moves, from the 1st week until the last week. I get that they’re mad at Vince, but they just voted a piece of furniture to win their season.

I don’t get that.

d...

i thought she sounded great and made compelling arguments for what was a fairly weak game. much better than the word salad of vote for me or you’re racist (oh and ignore that the person sitting next to me is also black) rant taylor gave.

i think overall the problem was that for vinny to win he needed to show he understood the difference between his game and his feelings and he did the exact opposite of that. i think if vinny had thought through and prepared his arguments as well as ashley had, he easily could’ve won. but he didn’t. that’s on him.

similar to paul’s loss to josh (josh didn’t win, paul lost), i consider this season to be an example of a player imploding, rather than a worthy winner being crowned. but it happens and, like paul before him, vince had enough flaws in his game to be worthy of such a fate.

Rachel for AFP

My comment wasn’t approved what
Let me try again
Congrats to Ashley! This was a satisfying ending after the season took a turn for the worst this last month. Is she the most deserving winner? Hard no, but better her than a cheating crybaby and his escort. The jury had every right to be bitter, Weaselinny didn’t own up to anything they asked him, why would they award him the title if he constantly dodged questions? His downfall needs to be studied, this was better and much more satisfying than Paul’s double kill lmao.

I also wanted to congratulate Keanu on winning AFP! If he won that HOH against Weaselinny he would’ve won this game. I hope we see him return soon. I’m proud of my girl Rachel finishing in top 3!

To Simon and Dawg thank you for everything this summer and see you next year!

The Beef

Jury is supposed to pick who played the best game of Big Brother. That includes competition, social game and strategy. Yeah, it also includes likeability and jury management. One of those things shouldn’t cancel out all of the others – you should look at them as pieces of the whole.

What we had last night was Ashley won the likeability part. She really didn’t have anything to do with the jury management part because she didn’t send anybody to jury. She didn’t nominate anybody. She really didn’t vote anybody there either, with the exception of Morgan, who voted for Vince to win.

Clearly Vince won the competition and the strategy part of the game, as Ashley never took part in a meaningful way in any of the strategic conversations of any of the HOH’s Vince and Morgan had, nor did she do it in any of the earlier HOH’s any of her earlier alliance mates had. She also lost the social game because she had no social capital, or if she did she damn sure didn’t use it, to make moves or influence anybodies nominations or votes to impact her or anybody else’s games.

So Vince won 4 of the 5 categories, with Ashley only winning the likeability category, and he didn’t win by a little. He won by a lot. You can say he lost the likeability category by a lot too, but that’s still just one category out of 5.

So how do you as a player this season justify voting for Ashley over Vince to represent your season as the champion, when you know Vince beats her ass in 4 out of 5 categories?

I guess the answer has to be either I hate Vince so much I’m not giving him the money, or I’m so mad at Vince for screwing me over (I’m bitter) I’m voting for Ashley just to piss him off. That’s the only two things I can think of that justify an Ashley vote, and to me, neither one is enough to justify it.

Bottom line is Ashley is the worst winner in BBUS history, and everybody who voted for her to win have to live with the fact it’s THEIR season, and they voted for her to represent them. I’d be embarrassed if I was them.

Gan ainm

Also the worst jury in BB history.

i mean rachel was on it, so that was always likely to be the case.

The Jury, like all juries, has the sole power to decide the outcome.

Like all juries, their decision is final.

Like all juries, the criteria determining each juror’s decision are completely and totally up to that individual & no one else.

Like it or not, and you obviously do not, the BB Jury has reached their verdict.

Their verdict is final.

It will stand forever, as every other BB Jury verdict will.

You are entitled to gripe about it as much as you want for as long as you want.

But, the BB Jury has spoken & the cash has been awarded.

See ya next year, God willing, you gripey old thing!

d...

the categories aren’t equally weighted. and jury management includes how you evict people. getting blood on your hands matters and vince and morgan were bathed in it, importantly to note when they didn’t need to be. lauren and keanu were genuinely trying to work with vince, maybe to the point of being willing to work with morgan just to work with vince. but morgan was way too inflexible about letting them in and vince let her dictate everything he did.

if vince was a better player he needed to find situations where people other than him could take the blame for unpopular moves. instead he just looked like a selfish jerk at worst and a pushover puppet of morgan’s at best.

imo vince sucked at likeability. sucked at jury management (because there are ways to send people out where the jurors don’t hate you). sucked at strategy and social for the same reasons he sucked at jury management because again there are ways to do all this without the jury hating you. and only had his competition record to fall back on which he choked on at the end.

i can agree it’s hard to say ashley won. but it’s very very easy to say that vince lost.

I agree.

I gotta say Morgan seemed much more gracious than I thought she’d be

Surprising ending to a pretty good season imo. The only downer for me was Rachel being thrown into the mix and screwing up the games of Amy, Jimmy and Mickey. Veterans should only play in all-star type seasons. Let newbies have their own season without interference. Morgan deserved to win, but Ashley is not even close to being the worst champion. Much-much-much worse were Josh (season 19), Andy, the ‘Red Rat’, (season 15) and Adam (the Baller) who did jail time for dealing drugs. Hope to see Keanu or Morgan on a future season of The Challenge.

Another Dixie

I liked Rachel being on the show which is surprising because I never liked her play in the past. However, I wonder how the game would have turned out if she hadn’t been there. I like to think it would have been even worse that what we saw. That whole caste was a bunch of losers when it came to playing BB.

I agree with everything except the anti-Rachel part.

I enjoyed Rachel while she was there.

I may be in a tiny minority, but that’s ok. It’s still a free country.

It is still a free country, right? Right?

Yknow I didn’t watch the finale, I stopped watching episodes after Keanu went home. But I’m glad it happened this way. Love to see the Morgan and Vince support train coming thru the comments on here to downvote them all. Morgan and Vince played slimy and gross games. Morgan was hyper focused on seeing herself win the game, I guess she forgot Ashley might actually win competitions for the finale? It seems like she only ever planned for her to win or for Vinny to take her to 2nd. They were a horrible emotionally draining team, to the point where the season took a serious nosedive. I saw in hindsight it wasn’t Morgan who made those comments about Walmart workers but rather it was Ashley when she was talking to Ava. Now that’s a gross comment but I’d still rather Ashley win than Morgan. Ashley played the best low-key game, keeping a target off her back and she was in people’s ears all the way until the end. Thank god it’s over and congratulations Ashley.

Worst season ever. Clearly the winner won very little except the last competition

modern bb is rigged

I don’t think it was as bad as season 24. But this was a bad season with yet another very bad winner.

Tyler & Jeff are my faves

Jackson Michie was the worst winner ever.

Followed closely by Adam, Andy & Josh.

That’s my Mt. Rushmore of horrible winners.

Fortunately, none of them in the last 5 years.

Had Vince won, he would’ve joined the previous 4.

Morgan Plays on Easy Mode

I’ll give you Adam and Josh as terrible winners. They had zero game. Adam more than Josh.

Jackson was a loser, no doubt, but he was a comp machine, so I have to give some credit. And Andy…well…he was a mouse in a house full of rats. Meh. Is what it is.

My Mt. Rushmore is Adam, Josh, Boogie, and Dick.

Dick was a proven cheat that needed productions help literally every week, and Boogie was a total loser that needed to eat, sleep, and breathe Will Kirby in and outside the house. That’s my reasoning in a nutshell.

juliesfashionfails

I will add that Boogie is a sex addict. Just needed to top that off.

Morgan Plays on Easy Mode

Lol! Did not know that. I just assumed his vice/fixation was Will

juliesfashionfails

Just from observation. There was a segment somewhere, not sure if it was BB. Where Boogie went to see Dr Will maybe for genital warts. There was a smug smile between them, with Dr Will having more of a matured former bad boy vibe, you still doing that stuff Boogie.

I got that impression in retrospect with how he totally used women as sexual objects, completely going along with Erika’s love delusion. Very practiced, cut off from emotions to the point of cruelty. I think he proposed to one girl on his season? Obviously a total misogynist.

He’s got substance abuse addiction, arrested for theft and violence. Dr Will took a restraining order out against him for harassment and stalking.

He’s a very troubled person. Dr Will was his obsession claim to coolness and fame, and then he blamed Will for not wanting to continue doing reality shows for Boogie’s sake.

Tyler & Jeff are my faves

I did not know that either. Thanks for topping that off.

Tyler & Jeff are my faves

Your reasoning is far better than mine.

You are absolutely right.

My listing of Michie as the worst was due to his personal traits, not his game play.

To match your criteria, I will eliminate Michie.

Based on your better approach & superior criteria, my new & improved Mt. Rushmore of BB bad winners is:

Evil Dick Donato.
Mike “Boogie” Malin.
Josh “Pots & Pans” Martinez.
Adam “Big House” Jasinski.
Andy ” The Rat” Herron.

It’s one more than on Mt. Rushmore, but I just couldn’t leave one out.
Call it my Pentagon of BB bad winners, if you will.
