“I Don’t Think She Would Ever Take Me, And I’m Not Taking Her”: Devens Picks Drew

Devens told Drew on Monday that he isn’t taking Taylor to the final two. The two of them spent the late morning walking laps of the backyard, about seven miles by their count, while Taylor stayed in the pod. Three are left on Big Brother 28, and the last part of the final HOH is Taylor against Devens.

Final three: Taylor, Drew and Devens. Taylor won part one of the final HOH and Devens won part two. They meet in part three, and the finale is Thursday.

Devens is taking Drew. Devens: “I don’t think she would ever take me, and I’m not taking her.” Drew, on sitting next to him: “It’s not Devens and Drew, it’s Devens and his son.”

Taylor stayed in the pod. Drew: “I don’t think you should reward somebody who literally describes himself as lazy to win the whole game.”

10:38 AM — Drew and Devens (Backyard)

Devens quizzes Drew on comp dates.

Devens: “What year was the Purr Purr toilet comp?”
Drew: “2027.”
Devens: “What year was the Viking one?”
Drew: “Like 815 or something like that, or 750. I think it might have been 815.”
Devens: “What about Jack the Ripper?”
Drew: “That’s one I have no idea. Like, I keep trying to figure it out. I think it’s between 16 and 17. But I don’t know the specific date, so I don’t really want to give you one.”
Drew: “If I were a betting man, I would say it probably doesn’t matter, but it’s probably more comforting knowing them than not knowing them.”

Devens: “I heard BB’s still trying to get Taylor up. I wonder if there’s an activity today… That’d be so cool if we got to put, like, a luxury comp. Or even if we just… had like anything happening at all that wasn’t bad.”
Drew: “Yeah, that’d be cool. Anything that wasn’t bad, I’d probably be okay with.”
Devens: “Four days. Three nights.”
Drew: “Dude, I know. The last night here sleeping is going to be weird. I’m going to be like, wow, this is it.”
Devens: “It’s going to be like Christmas night.”

Drew: “I said endurance, and then I said, like, mental, like, puzzle. And then the other one’s, like, the social aspect of the game, like, knowing the people. Because, like, those are, like, the three pillars of Big Brother.”
Devens: “It’s like, I can tell you what all the comps were. I can’t tell you their proper names.”
Drew: “I think all of us should be able to do that… So I’m not really even worried. I don’t even think you need to really study that much. Maybe just like a refresher.”
Drew: “There’s no studying, I don’t think, this last part. As much as she wants to say there is. But she’s also been running this whole game and knew when everything’s been happening, so…”

Drew
“There’s no studying, I don’t think, this last part. As much as she wants to say there is.”

Drew: “What do you think your Kalshi odds are?”
Devens: “Oh, God. Probably not great. Probably better than 14 other people, though. How about you?”
Drew: “I think you, me, and maybe Taylor have got the best odds of winning this.”
Devens: “Dude, that’s what I think, too, which is pretty cool.”

Drew: “I know this is, like, really ungrateful to say, but don’t you, like, think the jury house is probably, like, really fun?”
Devens: “For sure.”
Drew: “Like, but I’m glad I’m here.”
Devens: “You also don’t have anything to stress about over there.”
Devens: “Like, it’s… Yeah, wouldn’t trade it for the world. But definitely a different vibe.”
Drew: “That’s kind of where I’m at. Like, I am just thankful, grateful, and I would do anything to be in this position, but I know that it’s kind of a party over there, probably.”
Drew: “But also maybe a bitter one.”
Devens: “Right. And it’s like, I want so badly just to think about, like, my family. Who’s coming to the finale? What are we going to do? What’s going on? What am I going to do when I get home? And it’s like, oh, stay focused. Keep preparing. And it’s like, but these days are long.”

Devens: “It is funny how at the beginning of the season, if someone told us, I won’t speak for you, if someone told me, like, hey, dude, you’re going to go get third place, I’d be like, what? Are you kidding?… And now it’s like trying to come to terms, like already trying to be like, listen, third place, you should be proud of third place.”
Devens: “I’d be like, damn, for real?… I tied my best Survivor placement? Like, let’s go… I probably would have taken that deal. Like, we’ll guarantee you fourth.”
Drew: “Give me fourth, baby. Give me fourth. Let’s go.”
Devens: “I’d be like, oh, my God, I’m going apeshit. And I don’t know that we could have gone more apeshit… How could we have been more off the rails than we were?… We did stupid s— all the time. All the time. There were so many votes that we worked on flipping and doing stuff for no real reason. Just for the fun of it.”
Devens: “Like, let’s keep Haley instead of Chuk.”
Drew: “Yeah. And I was so game. I was like, Chuk needs to go. Even though Chuk hasn’t won anything and no one really seems to like him, Chuk has to go.”

Devens
“There were so many votes that we worked on flipping and doing stuff for no real reason. Just for the fun of it.”

Then the walk.

Devens: “That’s the end of my one. 25 to go. 25.3 for the Boys and Girls Club of America… I mean, we’ll see how the day goes, but I doubt it. It’d be fun to be like, I walked a marathon.”
Drew: “In the Big Brother.”
Devens: “On day 85.”
Drew: “Listen, if you said you wanted to commit to this bit, I would be right there with you for the next 25 miles.”
Devens: “And I’d have to do an extra mile. I think I might be ready to commit to the bit of at least a half marathon.”
Drew: “Hey, man. It’s for, it’s for, we’ll do a mile for each houseguest.”
Devens: “There we go. All right. I’m a mile in.”

11:21 AM — Drew and Devens (Backyard)

Taylor first.

Drew: “This whole game I was like, she’s a very, like, to-herself girl.”
Drew: “She’s a woman of faith.”
Drew: “So I would assume for her to be very, like, I guess humble would be the word… And now she has a little bit of HOH-itis, it seems like.”
Devens: “Yeah. Maybe we do too. Because we’re like, what about all these alliances that you had no idea existed?”
Drew: “Yeah, like, that’s probably not a cool look on us either.”
Devens: “…The Primaries were an alliance you came up with halfway through week three. Like, by the time you approached people with the Primaries, like, we were already in the Crossover, the Red Corner.”
Drew: “Well, what it is is she’s a very big fan of… Tiffany… Well, she was the goat, like, she created the, like, perfect structure of an alliance.”
Devens: “Which is, in a way, is what we did. That’s what the Crossover was doing.”

Drew: “Yeah, without calling them tethers.”
Drew: “I would say Dee did herself because, like, she sent Haley out there.”
Devens: “Oh, right. Yeah, that’s fair.”

On Barrett:

Drew: “Like, he never had a voice until, like, he had power. Then he had the biggest voice in the room.”
Devens: “I feel like Keith Nale on Survivor, rest in peace, love him so much, where he’s just like, stick to the plan. Stick to the plan… I don’t know that there’s anything that would have had Barrett stick to the plan in hindsight. After the Mallory thing.”
Devens: “I think he just reached a point in the game where he was like, I’m not driving this bus. If I have any chance of doing something, I have to get rid of them… I don’t think he could have sat at the end with you.”
Drew: “I don’t think so either.”
Devens: “…Because you were definitely a bus driver.”

Drew: “I like to think I was a little bit.”
Devens: “I wanted to leave my mark on this game for sure. I felt pressure, certainly, coming in the way I did of being like… You know, it’s like they invited me because they think I’m this thing.”
Drew: “Yeah. Dude, that, like, that’s what I’m saying. That is a lot of pressure.”
Devens: “I want to be this thing.”
Devens: “It’s like week two, I was like, oh… I’m going to have a short, splashy time in this game because I’m taking a big swing right away.”
Devens: “I was like, good news, kids. I’ll be home before jury.”
Drew: “We’ll have a summer together.”
Devens: “Now look at us.”

Devens
“I was like, good news, kids. I’ll be home before jury.”

Drew: “Now you have a new brother. I’m sorry. I don’t know how this happened.”
Drew: “Part of me feels like our season is interesting to watch because even though we were in, like, the majority alliance, we weren’t playing safe… We were still taking unnecessary risks.”
Drew: “Like, we were still trying to backdoor people when there was a blockbuster… And got incredibly lucky with it, by the way.”
Devens: “Like, almost every time… Like, the fact that Rome lost to Jason, Jason lost to Mallory… Kamu lost to Angela. Like, what?”

Then Melody.

Drew: “So what are the couple ways I’ve saved Melody? Are you just saying that just to, like, piss her off?”
Devens: “I might just be saying that… I feel like you’re a better ally to Melody than people give you credit for. But I don’t know if you actually saved her. But you did vouch for her a lot.”
Drew: “Yeah. It was mostly like, she’s not good at comps. Like, why? Why should we keep… Like, why get rid of her?”
Devens: “…Whereas a lot of people felt disdain from Melody… Even people that were working with her. Were like, man, she hates me.”
Drew: “But she did have a great social game.”
Drew: “It made me laugh a little bit, though. I was like, how? I was like, with maybe the people that you’re working with.”

Drew: “But, dude, this week has made me appreciate you even more because I can’t imagine four more days, like, alone in here. Because, like, you know Dee and Taylor have just been hanging out the whole time.”
Devens: “…I’m glad I have you here as well.”
Devens: “But no, I love Dee, but you and I have a lot more common interest, I feel like.”
Drew: “…Dee told Melody about her bribe before me. And I was like, oh, okay. Well, that’s an interesting choice.”
Devens: “…I am really naive and an ignorance is bliss player, but I ain’t that stupid… Like, I ain’t trying to give you two a number that will never come to me.”

Then Taylor, still in the pod.

Drew: “If we can do half a marathon before she wakes up, I’m going to be like… Well, we did half a marathon today. Oh, you just woke up? Oh, that’s cool… Do you want to do the other half with us?”
Devens: “There’s no way in hell.”
Drew: “She would never. I was like, did you ever play pool this season? She’s like, maybe once.”
Devens: “She said, I’m lazy, I think is what she said.”
Drew: “Yeah, I think she did say that… I would be so, so sad if she won this whole thing after she describes herself as lazy. Like, I don’t think you should reward somebody who literally describes himself as lazy to win the whole game.”
Devens: “…Sometimes I wish I could just… Oh, yeah. Like, lay in my bed all day. But I can’t… I feel like I need to walk around.”
Drew: “Yeah, I mean, that’s the beauty of this game is, like, you can get here in different ways.”
Drew: “You and me kind of got here the same way… And she got here for just not the way we did.”

Drew
“I don’t think you should reward somebody who literally describes himself as lazy to win the whole game.”

Devens: “I wish I knew what they were saying at the jury house.”
Drew: “…Last season, Vince and Morgan… They kind of just never talked to anybody but each other… Like, people just wanted… Someone to take them out.”
Drew: “And the good thing about you and me… Is people don’t really like us, period. Which is cool. That’s great. If we sit next to her, people don’t like us, though.”
Devens: “Wow. Great… That’s what we have going for us?”
Drew: “That’s what we’re going against.”
Devens: “I’m still waiting for what we have going for us.”
Drew: “I think me too. Oh, no, no. You have a chance to win the last HOH. So that’s what we got going for us. So there’s a lot resting on your shoulders.”
Devens: “Oh, good.”

Drew: “But that’s cool. Because, like, you’re the champ.”
Devens: “That’s why we do it for the Boys and Girls Club of America.”

Then the dogs.

Devens: “Gary, Izzy, you got a workout coming your way, babies.”
Drew: “They pull my arms out of the socket, but, like, they’re fun.”
Drew: “So my family does this where our dogs actually know our names, which is pretty cool. So they’ll be like, hey, Pebbles, where’s Drew? And Pebbles will look around the house and be like, where is Drew?”
Drew: “And if we’re in a closet, she’ll start banging on the closet door, and then we’ll open it. And she’s like, I knew it! Can’t hide from me, stupid human.”
Devens: “Humans are so dumb.”
Drew: “Yeah. When you’re right, you’re right, Devens.”

Then food.

Drew: “Dude, there’s this really good Italian restaurant in Temecula called Vince’s Spaghetti… And I think it used to be a Taco Bell, and they had a drive-thru.”
Drew: “And you go down, you go through the drive-thru, and you eat eight bucks for a kid’s meal. And it’s genuinely, like, a really good, like… Regular person meal.”
Drew: “It’s got spaghetti, a little drink, and a garlic bread that’s like eight inches long.”
Drew: “What’s your spice tolerance?”
Devens: “I like mild.”
Drew: “Yeah, I would just go medium… I wouldn’t go mild because it doesn’t taste like much.”
Drew: “Well, you don’t like mayo, huh?”
Devens: “I do not like mayo.”

Drew: “Like, have you ever gotten anything animal style?”
Devens: “I’ve only been one time… And I just got a plain cheeseburger.”
Devens: “I’m a simple man.”
Devens: “Guac and M&M’s. Fuel up. Breakfast of champions.”
Devens: “The hotter it gets, the more dumb this idea seems, but that’s okay. I haven’t got a lot going on today.”

12:22 PM — Drew and Devens (Backyard)

Around the five-mile mark, home.

Devens: “It’s weird to think this time next week I’ll be home.”
Drew: “You’ll be at home with your wife and your kids and you’ll be hanging out with your dogs and your cats.”
Drew: “And if things go your way, you’d be $750,000 richer.”
Devens: “Oh. But no matter what, it’ll be good.”
Drew: “It is just kind of cool to be here. I mean, it’s cool to get picked, to play, and it’s even crazier to be at the top three.”
Devens: “Yeah, man. You know that’s right. Everything else is just gravy.”
Drew: “Mm-hmm, mm-hmm. Everything else is just the cherry on top.”

Drew: “We took pictures yesterday in her pod. And I was confused on what she was doing. Because she was holding up a three. And then she did a one. And I think it’s because she thinks she’s either going to win or get third. So she was holding up her placement. I was really confused. I was like, why would you ever hold up three?”
Devens: “Mm-hmm. Top three, baby. Yeah, three or one. I feel like that’s my fate, too. Just kidding. I have the benefit of being one, two, or three. I got to hold up three signs.”
Drew: “I don’t see a world where you get second, though.”
Devens: “I do.”
Drew: “How?”
Devens: “Uh, jury votes.”
Devens: “…I don’t think she would ever take me, and I’m not taking her.”

Devens
“I don’t think she would ever take me, and I’m not taking her.”

Drew: “Well, thank you for thinking so highly of me. But if you bring me, they’re going to be like… Devens and his son. It’s not Devens and Drew, it’s Devens and his son.”
Devens: “Well, let’s give it to the son.”
Drew: “Well… Like you said to me… I would love to spend a pretty penny on the fam. On my fam.”
Drew: “Christmas would be cool from Uncle Drew. Or Brother Drew. Brudda. Brudda Drew.”
Devens: “Yeah, dawg. This is going to be interesting. You’re definitely one of the gifts I’m taking away from the game.”
Drew: “Oh, thank you, man. You are too. I can’t wait for you and my dad to talk.”
Devens: “You and I are obviously, like, super tight and very good friends, but I’m closer to your parents in age, and you’re closer to my kids in age.”
Drew: “It is fun. It is silly, but… I mean, age is just a number, man. You’re young at heart.”

Drew: “Guess that means I’m old?”
Devens: “Yep, you’re old at heart, bro. When you’re my age, you’re going to be such a fogey.”
Drew: “…That is a word I don’t think I’ve ever heard, but I can only imagine what it means.”

Then Survivor’s Edge of Extinction.

Devens: “Everyone picked up the torch, but then on the Edge of Extinction, there was, like, a sail you could raise, like a white flag, basically. That if you decided you didn’t want to do it anymore, you could raise that sail and quit. And two people did do that.”
Drew: “Hey, that feels weird. But I also get it.”
Devens: “…You feel like the game’s totally forgotten about you.”
Drew: “I think I’d rather get medevaced. Because that meant my body quit before I did.”
Devens: “No, they couldn’t drag me off.”

Then Taylor’s part-one win.

Drew: “That’s why she cracks me up when she’s like… I feel like I’ve seen her quit a couple of times. Taylor in competition.”
Devens: “Yeah. Definitely the wall.”
Drew: “I was hoping she was going to quit in part one.”
Devens: “That would have been helpful.”
Drew: “That would have been really cool. She kicked our butts… No, she crushed it. I can’t even be mad. Well, I can be mad, but I got to give her props.”

Then Devens’ two Survivor seasons.

Drew: “But you just kept, what, winning immunities and stuff?”
Devens: “Winning immunities and finding idols. Yep. What a legend. And then making some fake idols for other people to find. I was just doing everything.”
Drew: “Did you have more fun on the first one or the second season?”
Devens: “That’s a really interesting question because I’m not sure. The first season was more fun in the sense that I was, like, discovering it all new for the first time… And, like, just like, wow, like, what an adventure. This is crazy. But the second one… I had my friends with me longer, like deeper into the game, which made it a lot more fun.”
Drew: “So kind of like an Angela situation here.”
Devens: “Yeah. So it was kind of like they were both really great experiences, just different.”

Devens: “…It was just such a goofy, crazy idea to hide a fake idol there… but it turned out that I used it to save myself.”
Devens: “I bluffed him, yeah. I did. I got up and got it in front of everybody. I was like, I’m not going home tonight. They’re all like, what? Huh? What?”
Devens: “And then got back to camp, and they’re like, you didn’t play? And I was like, yeah. And I was like, I’m going to play it next time, though. I’m not stupid. I’m not stupid. I’ll play it this time. And then I didn’t play it again. They’re like, what the hell?”
Drew: “That’s so funny, man.”
Devens: “And then I showed them. I was like, hey, yeah. So the reason I haven’t played it is it’s fake. Please don’t flush it.”
Drew: “I was the same way when you guys would do big moves. As a fan, I’m like, when you did the Diamond Power of Veto, I was like, baller. And when Dee was explaining to me her bribe, I was like, that s— was gangsta.”
Drew: “I’m just excited when people play the game.”
Devens: “Yeah. You only usually get one chance at these things.”

They call it at about seven miles.

Devens: “All gas. No brakes. Unstoppable force… Boom. Until I smash into something or fly off the track. You know?”
Drew: “An explosive ending.”
Devens: “Almost always.”
Drew: “I think I need breakfast.”
Devens: “It’s going to be so weird to be back in real life. It’s going to be so great. It’s going to be so cool… What can I do today? Well. Anything I want. More than walk around a backyard that’s walled in.”
Drew: “Yeah, more than look at the fake mountains.”
Drew: “Life will be sweet.”
Devens: “It sure will, Drew. It sure will.”

5:19 PM — Devens and Drew (Backyard)

Devens: “Getting to the end in Big Brother is really easy.”
Devens: “I’ve done it literally every time I’ve played Big Brother.”
Drew: “Yeah. There was never a moment where I was in jeopardy of going home. Never.”
Devens: “I think you might have gone home a couple of times, actually.”
Drew: “Yeah, but we did stuff to get us off.”
Devens: “I just thought it was fun to win Blockbusters and vetoes.”
Drew: “…I was always confused. I was like, why do people not just win these? These seem super fun to win… And then it was like, oh, like, we want you to lose those. And I was like, why would, they kept telling me, you should probably lose this one.”
Drew: “I was like, guys, don’t even worry about it. I’ll just try to win it.”

Devens: “No, no, no, no, no, no, no. Then we can’t prove to you that we wouldn’t vote you out.”

Then Halloween.

Drew: “I go to Knott’s Scary Farm. I’ve never been to Universal.”
Devens: “Is that at Knott’s Berry Farm? And it’s called Knott’s Scary Farm?”
Drew: “Knott’s Scary Farm.”
Devens: “What? Oh, Knott’s Scary Farm.”
Drew: “Like Knott’s Berry Farm.”
Devens: “So it’s not Knott’s Scary. It’s like, yeah. It is scary.”
Drew: “I saw that you misunderstood.”

Devens: “…It’s like you during the wet and wild. Kind of like that.”
Drew: “Except there’s a purpose. I was like, what the f—? I suck at this.”
Devens: “That wasn’t your challenge, I got to say.”
Drew: “If I won that one, maybe we wouldn’t be here.”
Devens: “Right, exactly. Things worked out the way they were supposed to, apparently.”
Drew: “I was supposed to suck ass at that.”
Devens: “It was written in the stars.”
Drew: “…Drew was good at the wet and wild challenge. I think that’s okay. I think I’d live without that one.”

Then Devens’ family, who arrive this week.

Devens: “Disneyland, the ball is in your court. I might, my family will be here. I need to take them too. For all I know, they already have tickets to Disneyland. They might have already been. And they might be waiting and be like, hey, Dad, we’re going to Disneyland.”
Drew: “What if they go on Wednesday? Because they’re like, we don’t want to go with Dad because he’s going to stop. Get stopped and we want to enjoy Disneyland.”
Devens: “It would not totally shock me for my family to spend all day tomorrow at Disneyland without me because they don’t want me there.”
Devens: “I think that could happen. They’re like, man, last time we were at Disneyland, all the Survivor fans kept talking to Dad, and it was like Dad loved it, but it was annoying for us. Let’s just go without Dad… They’re like, Dad ditched us for all summer. We can do whatever we want.”
Drew: “And they’re right.”
Devens: “They’re right. They can do anything they want.”
Devens: “Who wants to go to Dave’s Hot Chicken? They’ll be like, yeah, we heard you and Drew talking about it. We went there, too. An In-N-Out burger. We’re going home now.”

Devens: “Nah, if I win, they’ll be nice to me. If I lose, my family’s not going to talk to me. They only care about me if I win. They didn’t talk to me for years after Survivor 38 or 50. I came home and the kids were just like, loser. I was like, aren’t you four and one year old? And they’re like, yeah, but we know what a loser is.”
Drew: “Loser. Loser. I don’t want a loser changing my diaper.”
Devens: “I’m sorry that your dad’s a loser.”
Drew: “But I fought really hard, and, like, even when the odds were against me, I kept going. Like, yeah. Loser. Loser.”
Devens: “Like, wow, you fought really hard, and even when the odds were against you, you lost. That’s really cool.”
Devens: “Yeah, it’s really cool having a dad that the whole world knows is a loser.”
Drew: “I guess I’ll try in seven years. Again.”
Devens: “I’m sure it’ll go better.”

Devens
“Yeah, it’s really cool having a dad that the whole world knows is a loser.”

Drew: “Mr. Beast, send Devens to Halloween Horror Nights in Orlando.”
Devens: “Mr. Beast, I could really use just a lot of money.”
Drew: “Just a little bit. A little bit of a lot. A small loan.”
Devens: “I don’t want a loan. Maybe I could just come on and you could, like, give me a lot of money.”
Drew: “…And we like win a lot of money together.”
Drew: “…You could, like, do a little emotional scene with, like, his kids.”
Devens: “Drew is only my fake kid. I’ve got real kids.”

Drew pitches a coin flip: guess right and Devens goes to the final two with double the money, guess wrong and the season starts over.

Devens: “I don’t think I’d flip it.”
Drew: “If you guess right, you get to go to final two. And the money doubles. And the money doubles.”
Devens: “But if I guess wrong…”
Drew: “But if you guess wrong, the whole season starts over. And it’s day one again. Everyone’s back in the house.”
Devens: “But they all know what happened.”

Drew: “…It’s weird you’re a Big Brother player now.”
Devens: “Dude, I don’t know if I’ll ever get used to that. I’m a Big Brother player now.”
Drew: “You’re not a Survivor player.”
Devens: “I am a Survivor player.”
Drew: “No, no, no, no, no, no. Like, when you go on Traitors, it’s going to say, like, Big Brother player.”
Devens: “It won’t say both?”
Drew: “Hell no. No. What’s in the past is in the past. You’ll never be a Survivor player again. Unless you go and play Survivor again.”
Devens: “It was. I have spent more time in playing Big Brother than I have playing Survivor, even though I played two seasons of Survivor.”

Devens: “The Big Brother people will be like, go ahead and sit with the Survivor people. The Survivor people will be like, come over and sit with us.”
Drew: “That makes more sense. You think the Survivor people are trying to claim you now, like we had them first?”
Devens: “Maybe.”
Drew: “Like you guys are lucky we let you have him?”
Devens: “Maybe. Or maybe they’re like, oh, finally, good, we got rid of him.”

Devens
“Or maybe they’re like, oh, finally, good, we got rid of him.”

Then Devens, home Thursday night.

Devens: “So early Thursday that I can still play Fortnite with my guys. I guess I’ll probably have to wait until next week.”
Drew: “All right. Dad, I’m so glad you’re back. Hey, one sec.”
Devens: “Guys, you know it’s Thursday night. You know that’s Fortnite with my friends.”
Drew: “Nothing’s changed. Nothing’s changed.”
Devens: “Also, Thursday night football.”

Drew pictures Devens waking his kids the way Big Brother wakes the house.

Drew: “I feel like I would see you stealing that. Like, you would use it.”
Devens: “Oh, I will. I definitely will. Have you changed the battery in your microphone?”
Devens: “Mom, Dad’s broken again. Can we send him back to Los Angeles? Why does he make us wear microphones? I want to hear what you’re saying about me.”
Drew: “Are you conspiring? Are you going to vote me out?”
Devens: “I’d be like, Dad is being really unreasonable. Stop talking about production.”
Drew: “Yeah, I can do that too. That’s it. That’s it. I’m sending you guys to the blockbuster. Whoever wins doesn’t go on timeout. Could you imagine?”
Devens: “Whoever loses goes and stacks the miniature King Tut.”

Then Taylor, still in her pod. An offer to get her outside hasn’t worked.

Devens: “No. I don’t think she wants us to come back and hang out with her in her pod.”
Drew: “No, I don’t think so.”
Devens: “But she would be more than welcome to come hang out with us.”

Drew: “Maybe we’ll get In-N-Out today? I don’t think so.”
Devens: “No, they’re probably too busy getting us Dave’s Hot Chicken, you know?”
Drew: “Dude, oh my God.”
Devens: “Just looking for all the ways to spoil us.”
Drew: “If they brought that, I think I would go crazy.”
Drew: “I would think the only chance we have is tomorrow, because it’s her birthday.”
Drew: “Or Wednesday, because it’s the last night.”
Devens: “Mm-hmm. At 7:30, I’ll start making burgers. I’ll see if Taylor wants anything. Do some burgers and fries.”

Drew: “I’ll make fries. I’ll do that. I know it doesn’t really help that much, but I want to feel like I did something.”
Drew: “Hey, Big Brother, can we get the scissors? I would like to have my hair cut maybe today, let it simmer in.”
Devens: “You’re going to ask Taylor to cut it?”
Drew: “Yeah. No offense.”
Devens: “Dude, I do not want anything to do with it. I’d butcher it and feel bad.”
Drew: “Why would you give the money to this guy with the stupid haircut?”
Devens: “Look at him. Does this look like someone who deserves the money?”

Then a practice run at the jury questions.

Drew: “…Devens, what was your biggest regret in this game? Not working with Lala. At all.”
Devens: “Have you been looking at my speech?”
Drew: “I have. I have. Because you’ve been writing it down. Write under, check bank account, hug kids, pet dog. Both of them.”
Devens: “Parentheses both. Pet, dog, parentheses Izzy and Gary.”
Drew: “Close parentheses. Order doesn’t matter. I just realized that, like, what was your biggest regret in this game could actually be a question.”
Devens: “Mm-hmm. Working with Drew.”
Drew: “Bad. He sucks. My biggest regret is not being able to bring all of you guys to final two. We all deserve to be here.”
Devens: “I guess I should have pounded the chicken thinner when I cooked it.”

Drew: “Oh, is that what you… Oh, is that what you think went wrong?”
Devens: “That was my biggest regret.”
Drew: “…My biggest regret? Trusting Barrett. He was so cool and tall and then I realized.”
Devens: “Investing time in my relationship with Barrett.”
Drew: “Didn’t matter how much time I spent. He was always going to do this to me.”

Devens
“I guess I should have pounded the chicken thinner when I cooked it.”

Then Big Brother players on Survivor.

Devens: “I think more Big Brother players have played Survivor than Survivor players have played Big Brother. Actually, is that true?”
Drew: “I don’t know.”
Devens: “Is it just Hayden and Beast Mode Cowboy?”
Drew: “I think so. I think that’s it.”
Devens: “But now there’s three of us that have played Big Brother?”
Drew: “Yep.”
Drew: “So that means they need one more.”
Drew: “They need somebody to make it even again.”

Then Taylor’s favorite word.

Drew: “Yeah. Decorum. She just slides that word into any sentence, huh?”
Devens: “Yeah, she loves that word. It’s a good word.”
Drew: “Odds are if she’s a… Sitting at the final two, she’s going to use that word. Higher or lower? Two or three times, I don’t know. That’s a hard line.”
Devens: “That’s tough, yeah.”
Drew: “This whole season, I have showed decorum. Decorum… It makes me laugh when she’s like, I didn’t argue or get into fights with people. And I was like, I would say less than some people, but more than others.”
Devens: “Yeah, I would say that. That’s fair to say. Because it was less than some, but it was more than others.”

Drew
“It makes me laugh when she’s like, I didn’t argue or get into fights with people. And I was like, I would say less than some people, but more than others.”

Then Drew

Drew: “Not a lot to do anymore. Except think of a speech. Or a pitch, if you will. I’m fairly confident I could pitch myself, but also… I don’t think I’ve ever done that before. Besides like… Getting on the show. So I guess I do have experience. Not the most. Probably the least. But hey man. Kid’s still here. I hope some of you are excited. But… Maybe some of you are rooting against me. That’s like a given.”

Drew
“But hey man. Kid’s still here. I hope some of you are excited.”

What is the difference between Tay being in her pod and the guys being outside not doing anything and Devens sleeping on the couch outside and laying down in the hammock?

Carlito's Way

Devens and Drew didn’t do it all day, every day, through the entire season. They are doing it now because they are bored out of their skulls. Why they are kept there this entire week with NOTHING to do, is beyond my understanding. To torture them? But this is not new for Taylor. She did this every day, anyway.
