Lounging around on TV for a chance to win $500,000 - sounds like a nice summer job if you can get it.
One way to apply is to be at Independence Mall on Friday afternoon, ready be interviewed by Tedd Schermerhorn, senior casting producer for CBS reality show Big Brother, according to CBS3 program director Perry Casciato.
You must be at least 21, a U.S. citizen living in the United States, with “sufficient physical, psychological, and mental capacity to endure approximately 100 days in a monitored house under extraordinary conditions,” the show’s guidelines state.
In other words, the camera-shy need not apply.
Your summer plans also need to be flexible, since this casting call is for Big Brother 10, which will begin in June or July.
The casting tour is going to 25 cities to ultimately tap just 16 contestants.
The Philadelphia stop is scheduled for 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Friday at the Independence Visitor Center, Sixth and Market Streets.
Applicants must bring at least one valid picture ID, a good photograph of yourself, and a completed application (available at Casting info

I will be the host for the Rock Against Diabetes show in Vegas this summer
Category: Music
Yes it is true, I am the host of this years Rock Against Diabetes show in Las Vegas, Nevada this Aug.
This is not just taking some gig to me, it is something near and dear to me and has had an affect on people very close to me.
We will be doing a lot of auctions for the Charity coming up. So, I let Darrin talk me into doing a “Date with Dick” auction. The date will be a plane ticket from wherever you are to LA and back. Transfer to and from the airport. And I will arrive to pick you up in limo and take you to dinner at the restaurant of my choice.
Then IF and only IF CBS approves it, I will be taking the winner to either the Finale OR the wrap party for Big Brother 9. I have asked them, they told me they will get back to me asap. But everyone thinks it is a great idea, so I don’t think it will be a problem. IF it is approved, it will be either the wrap party OR the Finale Show. This will not be a choice, it will be whatever one CBS approves.
IF it is not approved, well then whoever wins will be stuck with me doing something else that I will come up with. I will keep everyone posted on what happens with this and when it will go up on the auction block.
And so far as the show, there aren’t very many tickets for this event, so if you want to go…. you better get tickets right now. This event WILL SELL OUT. If you can’t get tickets but still want to hang out and have a drink with me in Vegas, I will be at the Hard Rock Hotel from Friday until Monday of that week.
